This hotel is far from amazing. We stayed two nights and it was not a place we will go again. The walls are paper thin we could hear everything and I mean everything. Our room also being by the stairs was awful the hotel doesn t have a restriction on ski boots and because of that it was all we could hear amongst other things. Our hall smelt strongly of weed and the elevators of cigarettes. What really drew the line for me was when I went to shower to find the shower curtain splattered with blood and mold!!!!! When I went to the front desk she seemed as if i was inconveniencing her as we walked away she shook her head while huffing and puffing. Granted they changed the curtain but it was not any better still stained. The signs in the hotel advertised a sauna well that was broken. Not to mention waking up itching and my back broken out from what I hope wasn t bug bites since I did kill a couple bugs when we first got there! Breakfast is also $14 so prepare for that and it s not worth it at all! Unfortunately will never stay here again! The only nice thing was the view of the resort.

Stayed over the past weekend and never got a shower curtain. Asked everyday, a few times a day. I was told several times not to worry and it d be taken care of. Still never got one. When checking out I asked if they thought it was appropriate that we couldn t shower for three days and the front desk guy said it was above his pay grade and gave me an email to contact. I ve sent a few emails, never heard back. The rooms are outdated and DIRTY. There were ZYNs stuck to the ceiling. The blankets on the bed were basically 2 sheets. Front desk staff was rude and doesn t get a damn if you like the place or not. And apparently the manger staff doesn t either. I d pay the little bit extra and stay anywhere else!!

Will never stay again. We had the previous guests leftovers in our mini fridge and half empty bottles of body wash. We mentioned to the front desk and they told us that they would send housekeeping up. They never came. The pillows were mushy and the mattresses were also soft. Furniture tattered. Barely slept. Location is great it s a shame the hotel is not well maintained. 2 star hotel at best

I'm happy to share a review for the Winter Park Mountain Lodge! Yes, it's an older location. Yes, it's out dated. Bed was nice and sheets were clean! The bathroom needed care. When you are an experienced cleaner, you see the little things. Have your house keeper gain some experience with checking walls. People in general are gross and leave their nasty "pickings" on the walls. The restaurant definitely could use some help. Most items were sold out and the chicken wings did not come with celery and carrots (which were the main reason my diabetic boyfriend got them).Otherwise, our stay was lovely. The front desk agents were pleasant! Our view was amazing! Thanks y'all!Rooms: Rooms need to be cleaned more thoroughly. I would rather wait for a clean room than rush the house keeper.

We walked into our room and it is literally falling apart, from the beds to the chairs! There are holes in the wall I had to check to make sure there wasn t a camera in one of the holes. The air conditioning also isn t working! The carpets and furniture are falling apart! Also if you don t like a bouncy bed with springs this isn t the place for you!!! Oh and the beds don t have an actual comforter (maybe because the air doesn t work ). We also had to ask for hand soap because it wasn t provided. The whole room also smells like stinky feet!

I was a little skeptical about staying here after reading the reviews. I'm happy I took a chance because my room was great. I stayed in one of the suites that had a fireplace, mini refrigerator, microwave, and mini ice machine. The room was well worth it. The room was clean, and the fireplace helped keep the room warm. I also had a great view of the mountains. The bed was also comfortable. Even though, the furniture and decor is somewhat old. They also had a ski rental shop inside the hotel, which was good. I was able to rent snow boots and get any other ski gear at a discounted price. There was also a bus stop at the front door entrance of the hotel, which was free to ride. The bus would take you to the resort and/or other places you wished to go. Another plus about this hotel was that Grand Adventures was also located on the property for those who would like to snowmobile. The only dislike about the hotel is the restaurant. The menu did not have a large variety of food to choose from. The restaurant was also out of alot of the food selection they had listed. Overall, this hotel was a great choice to stay and will not disappoint you!Rooms: Suite with fireplace. The fireplace helped keep the room warm. Had a mini refrigerator, microwave, and ice machine.Nearby activities: The winter park resort was directly across the street. Other snow activities was a maximum of 10min away.Food & drinks: The restaurant inside the hotel food was not good. There is no big selection on the menu. They were also out of alot of food.

If you like the 70 s, bad saggy beds, rotten carpet, smell of must, curtains with moth wholes, a 27 TV Motel 6 looks like a palace compared to this place. Location not bad, but shuttle to mountain could take 40 minutes. I am having all my clothes fumigated in case of bed bugs. Anyone who rated this place as a 5 star must not know about real hotels. OK clean sheets! Wow that s just awesome! OMG

I am being generous by giving once star for service. We had a terrible experience at WPML. The room was disgusting stained carpet, sheets and partial bedding. The window was broken so it remained opened the entire night during the snow storm. it was absolutely freezing. The blow dryer did not work as the cord was actually cut. I called the front desk to see if there was a solution and they were extremely rude and unresponsive. I sent my partner to the front desk after 20 min with no response and he had a terrible encounter with the extremely rude front desk agent. I ended up having to ask other hotel guests to utilize their rooms so I could dry my hair. Well their blow dryer broke half way through so I gave up. I have worked in the hospitality industry my entire life and have never experienced such rude, lazy and disrespectful staff. This place is NOT worth the price tag even for the location.Noteworthy details: Don't stay here

I read how folks said this was hotel what was expected of a ski town hotel. I ve lived in Colorado since 1998, ski mostly Mary Jane. The place was gross! And we don t stay at fancy places, we go to ski. We are not looking for five stars. However, there was mold all over the shower, the floors were t vacuumed. I could not walk barefoot in the room without crumbs/hair all over my feet. The hot tub has a line of scum that clearly showed it had been a long time since it was cleaned. The one clean bed had chips in it and crumbs. We are getting married the last weekend in March at Winter Park. We told our guests to stay there and booked rooms ourselves. We have canceled and suggested everyone do the same. This wasn t old and a ski hotel presentation, this was dirty! Old I can handle, but dirty and moldy are two different things.Rooms: DirtySafety: Be careful in the shower, my kiddo went down hard. No mats and slipperyWalkability: NA

Please do yourself a favor and don't waste your time, money, comfort, or even health on this pathetic excuse for Hotel. The owner hasn't put money into this place in 30-40yrs and its disgusting to say the least. I could write a book here if I had the time and I have never written a google review on anything but this was necessary. Anyone that has written something positive had to be paid in some fashion. Last thing I will say is notice 5 stars I gave on the location. The owner is taking advantage of this location being directly across the road from the resort. Don't waste your money!!! Knowing what I know now I would have stayed 1hr or more away and drove to the resort everyday.

Nice location from winter park ski resort, they have free shuttle every 20 minutes from the lodge to the ski lift. We stayed there between Christmas and new year. Our room was clean has a very nice view on the mountains. TV didn't work and restaurant was closed for 2 nights. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Wp mountain lodge.Nearby activities: Winterpark ski resort

This hotel is a real disappointment in many categories. When we arrived the room had crumbs all over the floor. I asked to have it vacuumed. Never happened. Went back & asked if I could borrow the vacuum. Eventually someone brought a filthy vacuum to our room, which I used & immediately regretted. The chairs in the room are tattered. Our window didn't shut properly. The hotel is directly across the street from the ski resort, but there is a major highway between them & no way for pedestrian across. The shuttle only runs every 30 minutes & isn't direct. The toilet seat & toilet paper holders were broken. The lobby was nice. The shower was nice. The double hot tubs & pool were nice. The room was filthy. It was very cost effective, but I now understand why. I would not stay here again.

AVOID AT ALL COST!! Hotel double booked our room leaving us with no place to stay. Drove 11 hours just to get there and have them tell us we don t have a place to stay for the night. Worker didn t care even a little bit and blamed us. Laughed at the fact we had no place to stay and refused to get the manager. Place also looked nothing like the pictures online and was not a nice place at all. Ended up at the Vintage Hotel which was way nicer and way easier to get to the resort as no shuttle is required.

This place is exactly what folks should expect of a ski town hotel. I think previous reviews about cleanliness were either way exaggerated or the hotel has gotten it together. It's outdated, for sure, but the only time it's expensive is on prime ski weekends and it's right across from the resort. The staff was great. The rooms were clean. And for anyone who is interested more in being on the mountain than turn-down service will likely be very content. On price point - it's expensive to live here and pay people to live here so it's a little expensive to run hotels here and they have like 2 months to make the majority of their income to make those improvements everyone thinks are so desperately needed. I am reserving my 5th star for a warmer pool and another blanket on the beds (there wasn't one in the closet, but also never went down to the front and asked for an extra).

Good price, our room was clean but the hotels smelled of smoke, badly. They left 2 towels in the bathroom for a room that sleeps 4, initially said they didn t have extra towels. Also couldn t provide extra pillows and the blankets they gave are VERY thin. The pool was nice, clean and the kids enjoyed playing. There were no towels in the pool area though, when asked they said they would bring some but never did. If we stay again, we ll be sure to bring an extra pillow, blanket and towel!

The only reason I give this place 2 stars is the location and view from our room. It's very conviently located right across winter park ski resort. I wish I could say you get what you pay for, but I felt like I didn't even get that. We stayed there from 2/25/24-2/28/24 and we stayed in room 320. We were originally told we would be able to access our room at 2pm. I got there to check in the they said our room wouldn't be ready until 4pm. I didn't make it a bug deal and we came back then. When we were finally able to check in and head up to our room at baiut 4:30pm they were STILL CLENAING IT! They quickly left and I felt like our room didn't get fully clean. The bathroom smelled like must and the shower curtain had nasty stains on it and heavy hard water stains. The bathroom was also super tiny. You had to get in the tub to basically open the door after using the restroom. It's also super outdated (which doesn't bother me as long as it's clean, but it wasn't.) the pool and hot tub area was also super outdated and just dirty looking and the hot tub water looked green. The pool had chopping paint and the sad tiny corner room they call a gym literally had 3 pieces of equipment jammed in there. Their website advertises there is a sauna but it was padlocked closed the whole time we were there. The smelly, grimey, outdated, curtains in our room either had cigarettes burns in them or moth holes all over which immediately made me just not comfortable. The bed was very hard and you could tell needed a new matress but after seeing them cleaning multiple rooms with the doors wide open you could see they've tried to fix this problem but placing a pathetically thin matress pillow topper that does nothing. Our lamp shade on one of our bed side was broken and would stay on the lamp. The bathroom didn't even have a vent. We asked for an extra blanket but never received one. The "blankets" on the bed were paper thin and we froze each night. Parking was very limited and they didn't not have their parking lots scooped or iced well at all. We will jot be staying here again and I do not recommend anyone else does.

This hotel s only saving grace is the close proximity to Winter Park resort. The front desk staff is RUDE. I called to ask for room service and got a snippy response about how it needs to be requested and then was hung up on by the agent TWICE. I also went to the desk on a separate occasion to ask for towels because they were cheap and only give 2 sets. The woman said I ll send some up for you. We didn t get any for 2 hours. The towels at the pool as abysmal; they re the size of washcloths. Everything is dirty and outdated, as described by other guests. Definitely wear shoes everywhere you go around here, you might catch a wart on your foot otherwise.

Loved the convenience of being within minutes from food, activities, slopes. Room was decent. Beds were so uncomfortable. Pillows were very lumpy. View was great. Right across of slopes next to road. Loved the hot tubs and pool. Pool was a little cold even in winter and it's "heated". The restaurant closes early and it had a very light selection and prices were high for the quality. The ski shop in lobby had great service hose guys were helpful and super nice. Hotel staff in lobby was nice and helpful. The kids actitivies they advertised were closed down. Stated they had a convention in that room. We didnt see any activity the whole time there so not sure what "covention" there was but noone was EVER in that room. They just need to work on some upgrades.

Unfortunately other reviews are correct. The rooms were pretty outdated but mostly really unmaintained. Every single chairs fabric was ripped. The box spring fabric is completely exposed and tattered and torn. There are no blankets. Literally just two sheets per bed. For a hotel in the mountains? Beds are super uncomfortable. Saggy and worn in. Not really worth the price. Hopefully they try to make some improvements.

Great location to the ski resort but the rooms are horrible. We rented a room in the middle of winter and all that was provided was a thin sheet on the bed. We called front desk and rang the bell at the counter and no one was around to help out. They charge almost $400 a night and they can t even provide a comforter. We had to take towels from the bathroom to use as blankets. DO NOT STAY HERE!Reply: You don't think I looked in the closet for extra blankets? Horrible!!!

Pretty bummed at the service and our room at the lodge for the price we paid. Great location, but I m not sure if it was worth it after how the front desk person talked to me. Very rude and dismissive; like I was a nuisance to him. Along with our room not up to standards. The shower was a mess. It sprayed everywhere making the bathroom a flood and you had to hold the shower head yourself to get yourself wet. None of the open outlets works to charge our phones. Won t recommend or stay again.

Don t stay here at any cost. At 3:20 pm on an Easter Sunday they had not completed a single room for check in. I have been in lobby since Eleven AM. Walls have stains from drinks or food. Microwave doesn t work and it now five PM and the halls look like a dorm room. I am an owner across the street at Foinder Founders Pointe. I will never come early and stay HERE at Winter Park Mountain Lodge.

The only thing this place has going forward is its prime location which is literally across the street from Winter Park Resort. This place was probably built in the early 80s and all of the decor furniture everything is original from the early '80s. It looks like they Place hasn't been renovated ever so the place is like 40 years old inside. It's kind of a joke considering how much the place costs. Do yourself a huge favor and try to get one of the airbnbs close to the resort, they are immensely nicer and actually cost less.Rooms: Very very old rooms. They look like the original rooms that were at this place when it was built and probably the very early 80s. The place has not been renovated and it frankly it looks like it hasn't even been cleaned well since the '80s. For the price, you should definitely skip this place. As I mentioned in the review, the only thing that has going for it is it's proximity to Winter Park resort. Everything else is terrible.Noteworthy details: Extremely outdated and worn out. Definitely not worth the price. We spent around $800 for 3 days and two nights.

This hotel is disgusting and dated for how expensive it is. Just checked in today and there is a toilet plunger in the middle of the hallway. Hot tubs are ice cold; when we asked about it they said they just started heating them up ? On new years eve..? Also the hallway ceilings are all exposed and collapsing near the pool area. Not sure who is running this but they are probably laughing to the bank. Definitely would not recommend this spot.Nearby activities: right across the street from winter park

This place is great if you want a cheap motel experience for a luxury hotel cost.We stayed here for New Years Eve week, we had ski lessons in the morning and the room directly next to us was making so much noise the walls were shaking and they were screaming and partying and knocking things over. The front desk basically said too bad so sad when we called to make a noise complaint since it was impossible to sleep. Nothing changed, and the service here is awful here. Additionally there was a toilet plunger sitting in the middle of the hallway for a whole day before someone dealt with it.

The hotel was outdated and felt dirty. When we arrived to our room, the bed was made with just a flat sheet and a thin blanket. When I would wake in the morning, the flat sheet would be shifted and I would be laying straight in the mattress. There was no fitted sheets or comforter. Carpet was nasty, restaurant was hardly open and when it was, limited menu, mold on shower curtain, lack of towels, shortage of pillows. Hot tub had to be cleaned on New Year s Eve and wasn t warm again for a few days which bummed my daughters out. Just overall not a clean hotel to stay in.
