Perfect location for skiing. The cabriolet makes for an easy trip to the village and base. After 5:30, shuttles run, but I wasn't too impressed. The kitchenettes are great for saving money on a few meals. The fireplaces sure make for a nice environment if your room has one.The decor and style is getting a little dated, but it felt clean. No daily trash or housekeeping service unless requested.

We found hair on the bed sheets and pillowcases and requested cleaning on day 2, but were told we only get one cleaning midweek during our 7-day stay (Wednesday). The room wasn t cleaned on Wednesday or Thursday and was only cleaned on Friday, even though we kept asking for it daily. The location is great, next to the village cabriolet, which makes it very convenient. However, be aware that the food options in the village are lacking and mediocre at best. Going into town is the only way to have a good meal, and you depend on a shuttle that runs once an hour, which can be inconvenient on the way back. Domino s is the only delivery. Aside from the cleaning issue, room was priced appropriately and a good value for the location.

Nothing like a hotel at a ski resort without hot water! Two nights no hot water. First night I was told to let it keep running and it will eventually get hot. After twenty minutes I gave up. At least the room itself was so hot (registered at 82 but set at 60) no one could sleep so we didn t freeze. The second night same issue. I was told by the front desk that many people are complaining about not having any hot water. The reason is because they close the pool and hot tub at nine pm instead of ten pm so between 9-10 they fill the heated pool and the hot tub. I guess this makes perfect sense as the restaurants all close about 830 to 9 so who would want to shower and go to bed early so they can be at the lifts refreshed and ready to go in the morning. Do not get me started on the front desk staff at the dog friendly hotel that said the gondolas close at 4:30 but our shuttles will pick you and your dog up. Had to walk in the dark several miles as the shuttle driver said no dogs! Oh and the dog friendly hotel is carpeted, small like piss, and cigarette smoke. These were not issues a few years ago.

We've stayed at this hotel twice now, both times over the Christmas holiday. It is a pet friendly hotel, and each time we've been greeted with dog treats at the front desk. This year they included pet sheets to make our furry friends comfortable in the room, and a free tennis ball to play with. The staff is very kind, and the rooms are spacious and clean. You also can't beat the proximity to Winter Park and parking included with room rate!It is quite expensive- however, that's just the status quo staying at a ski resort. Given the room size and cleanliness, hot tub, pet friendly accommodations, and proximity to the lifts - well worth the cost!

Very bad service, the desk is run by stoners, friendly but useless, we stayed for 4 nights and requested get the room cleaned on the 2nd day, it wasn't done, we asked again on 3rd day and the same result, then we requested a late checkout and they said yes but in the morning in a very rude way thet let us know we should be out of the room by 10:30.Location is good but in overall I'd look for other options as this hotel is not cheap.

They gave us a "room meant for four" and it only had one bed, but they upgraded us to another room. I went downstairs to ask for a blanket in a normal humanly manor only to get scolded by the front desk dude (don't know his name and don't really care now) by him murmuring to a coworker "people need to learn how to properly ask for things bla bla bla" and then when i got the blanket and said THANK YOU, he asked the coworker if i said thank you. I don't know if he realizes that this is literally his job but whatever. rest of the staff was great and funny, just the one dude :(

This is an awesome place to stay. It has a huge heated pool and a very large hot tub big enough for probably 20 people. As you might expect in most mountains resort areas there is no air conditioning but there is a window fan available in each room if you need it. I used it one day and the rest of the days I got along fine without it. The weather was so comfortable I hated going back to a humid climate again. It is just stay 5-minute walk down to shops and restaurants in Winter Park Village. A really very fun place to stay summer or winter. So convenient to everything. I travel for a living and I'm on the road most every week of the year and this place was definitely the highlight of my year so far.

Good option if you plan to spend most of your time on the mountain. Note that the hotel and rooms stay probably 10-15 degrees warmer than the outside temperature as there is no air conditioning. While they do provide a box fan, you almost need two in the room to keep it comfortable. Love that this hotel is dog friendly (and there are A LOT of dogs around) and surprisingly quiet for how many pets were on site this weekend. As another reviewer noted the sound and picture on the television is out of sync and it does make it difficult to watch. Our room was very clean and we would definitely come back for an option under $170 a night.Noteworthy details: We had a clogged drain in our tub and it made our first night of showers pretty unpleasant. I reported the issue to the front desk in the morning and within two hours the maintenance person had come in and fixed the issue. I was extremely impressed and appreciative how quickly it was resolved.

We enjoyed our stay at the Vintage. 4 nights I wouldn't take back. Truthfully, much to do primarily with getting in some fantastic skiing with my amazing son in Winter Park, but also because this hotel has a very good location and overall feel. Granted, as others have noted the hotel surely needs updating. In doing so, they'd do well in getting their bar/meeting area up and operational as well. Really loved the mini gondola transportation to and from the mountain resort base area. The accommodations we had were good and definitely suitable for a couple of guys out skiing most of the day. A couple of comfortable beds, totally sufficient kitchenette, and decent bathroom. The staff were pleasant, though not always on top of what was happening. I am thankful for their efforts though. I'd recommend the Vintage and if they ever do an ample updating of this place it will be difficult to get into and I'd imagine considerably more pricey.

Really comfortable and perfect stay! Not too far from the Winter Park Resort just a 3 min drive or less than 5 min ride on the cable lift.I stayed on 2/6 for one night so it wasn t too crowded or busy. The room was clean and had everything I needed.I had planned to stay at Winter Park resort for a day and not stay over night but i had a flat tire and was desperate for a place to stay in the evening. Called the front desk and asked for any availabilities. Walked from the resort to the hotel (15 min walk uphill) so I was in the worse condition possible. The front desk staff were very comforting and understanding. The guy made it easy and fast for me to get into my room.

Visiting from out of town. Wasn t aware that this place has no AC . They provide you with a box fan. I guess this is normally a ski resort . Pool closes at 9 which sucks bc rooms were hot so no night swim to cool off. Found a great local bar James peak pizza joint they re open till one am. Other than not having AC and the pool closing at 9 it s not that bad . But I would never stay here again .

Hotel could use an upgrade, furniture, carpet, walls. Beds were good. Very hot when we visited, no air conditioning. Staff was very friendly and helpful.Rooms: Rooms need updating, furniture and carpet old. Walls could use a paint job.Nearby activities: The village was nice. Pizza place in village was awesome. We weren't told slide and ride to village were closed until we arrived.

We found the vintage perfect for us as we had plans to go tubing and hiking but no skiing. The staff was beyond exceptional, texting us the day of our arrival to facilitate parking and checking in. Despite our check in time being 4 they got us in earlier which was neat. Checking in was a breeze and our tag for parking was ready on arrival as well. Parking is included and right in front of the hotel and right next to the lift down to the village. The tubing station is attached to the hotel and as such could not be any easier to access. To access the gondola up the mountain there is a complimentary lift that brings you right into the village. This is the only downside being that it is not smack dab right next to the gondola. However we found that perfect as things were not as busy.Rooms were quiet, comfortable and clean. The hot tub was a welcome respite from a day of exploring.Overall we were very happy with our stay and will be returning the next time we come visit!

I can t say enough wonderful things about this location and staff. Justin at the front desk and the whole service team were wonderful when we had an usual need for a room on very short notice last week due to an illness in our ski party. Not only that, the room was fantastic and the location on the mountain was perfect. Highly recommend this place if considering a stay at the mountain in Winter Park. Thank you Justin and team!Rooms: Great view and kitchen areaNoteworthy details: Service was phenomenal. I can t stress that enough.

Stayed here for a weekend ski/snowboard trip in March. I'll sum up the rooms by saying you're not staying here because you want a bunch of amenities. Rooms are outdated, beds aren't the softest, and there's no breakfast (or any room service). However, what they lack in amenities, they more than make up in service and location. We got in on Friday mid morning and they were able to accommodate our early check in request. The cabriolet to the village is just steps outside the front door and there's a shuttle into town if you want to stay out late. It's a decent value especially for being so close to the mountain, but if you want to be pampered, go stay in the resort.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The room is cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped, good enough to make a simple breakfast or a hot drink. The cabriolet, which runs during the day located just outside of the hotel, connects to the village, very convenient. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. This hotel is an economic choice for people who want to stay close to the resort.

What a gross hotel room. From peeling and water damaged wallpaper and stains on a ceiling that seemed like it was about 30years overdue to mold in the shower, unsafe door and missing buttons on the GFCI outlet, the vintage name is taken a bit too literally here. It was probably the worst hotel I ve stayed in in the US, rivaled only by stays in India. I will not return to the Vintage Hotel. I do not recommend this to anyone else either. Gina another place to stay.Rooms: Stay Away. Dump.Nearby activities: Skiing / Mountain Biking / HikingWalkability: Great location with gondola to Winter Park Village.

Check in is ALWAYS great. The staff is lovely. We've been here more than 2 times now. This time, our room was not ready, which was fine, we were early! The woman who checked us in, explained that so nicely, so we waited. Once our room was ready, we went up, got comfortable and was laying in bed.... a housekeeper barged in, DIDNT KNOCK. She came in to return an oven mit!! That was day 1. Night 1, the obnoxious dog barked for hours, after we were on the mountain.... it was 8-10pm this dog barked and we couldn't sleep. We haven't heard from one person about any of this and we complained about it all.

This hotel looks great from a distance, but gets less impressive the closer you look. The rooms are poorly laid out, and poorly lit. There is no air conditioning, and the upper floor rooms get pretty warm in the afternoon. The bathrooms are extremely cramped, and the ceiling above the shower was coming apart from what looked like unrepaired water damage from a leak above. There are insufficient electrical outlets for charging electronics or working, and we had to unplug TVs and lamps to plug in fans to cool the rooms. The biggest plus for this hotel is that they allow dogs. The pool and hot tub were nasty. There were brown scum bubbles floating on the hot tub, and the pool was cloudy with lots of bugs floating in it.Rooms: The rooms seem large, but are poorly laid out, and the bathrooms are tiny. Nearby activities: This is a pretty good location for biking and skiing, as long as the Cabriolet mini-gondola is running. They shut it down for nearby lightning a few times, and it's a terrible location when that happens. Walkability: It's about a quarter mile walk to the base village, which isn't bad if you don't have skis or a wife in high heels. Wi-fi: The Wi-Fi seemed to be fairly fast and reliable.
