The proximity to the ski slopes is fantastic. Free ski lockers right by the exit to the slopes as well! There's a great heated indoor/outdoor pool and two hot tubs, and a grill outside. Also a large workout room and a sauna which is great after a day of skiing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Hot tub was only halfway full. It wouldn t get hotter than 94 degrees. No AC ventilation in living room not that the dinosaur age AC actually worked well. Wine cooler didn t work. TVs very outdated. Not properly cleaned. There were Jenga pieces in a blanket on the chair. Asked for an additional parking pass due to needing 2 vehicles for our 6 person party to be told it would be okay. Then received a parking violation and being told to park on a different street outside of the condominium. Not happy but not that they care. Not worth the price by any means.

Ski out portion of hotel was convenient yet really difficult on a snowboard. We had to push or carry the board down, as there is not enough grade to move. This hotel was not clean. The first night we arrived late and there were long black hairs in the shower. When taking a shower the water completely backed up to our ankles and wouldn't drain. After housekeeping had come through we noticed they did not vacuum or mop the tiles. There was water and dirt remaining from the previous day of boarding.Overall, we would not recommend this hotel for the price. The front desk was not friendly or helpful in any way. The room was really dated and not clean. We had to ask for any amenities like coffee, as housekeeping did not top up the supply unless asked. We loved Winter Park, and if we return we will look into other options.

Perfect place for skiers. Total ski in ski out on Green Corridor and to Gondola ski area. Ski room (properly locked) is 10 feet from the slope. Green Corridor is convenient and easy also for beginner. All the building is locked by codes and they are very fast and efficient to give your one. You park in the garage. trolleys always available for luggage. Room/studio is fully equipped, even with an humidifier (useful). beds are great, not just a corner with a pillow. You can walk to the village in 5 minutes or just drive (1 minute) and park for free.

An older resort that could use some updates, but the location is hard to beat. Free shuttle is great for getting to the village and restaurants. Ski in ski out feature is great. Don't expect 5 star luxury amenities but id give it 3.5 on that front.

No matter what state or hotel I that I have the time to visit, I always stay humble n give out full respect 2 whoever I speak 2, n I noticed how much sugar n honey that I get in return. This is extremely important for some people. When there's a huge respect for 1 person, there'll b a whole lot of love n respect towards more people.Altho this place is beautiful on the outside, however the inside is bigger than what it originally looks like. It looks like this place was built by a person with an idea into looking n staying in the past.Gr8 ideal for the whole family including the dog.

Iron horse is a great place to stay for the high skiing season though not as great for low season doe just the beginning. It's supposed to be like ski in ski out but it doesn't quite work since the slope is closed off until high season and the ski in requires you to be an intermediate skiier as it's all blue slopes coming down. There's a bus that takes you to the base but just be warned that it's not truly ski in ski out. Still a great little resort with hot tubs and a gym. Lots of great amenities!

Winter park just received a major dumping of snow Christmas weekend. So snow condition was very good. We were a little concerned before the storms as the whole Colorado was pretty dry. We were relieved the the good snow came right before we arrived. Our condo is in Iron Horse building D which is directly adjacent to the ski in, ski out trail called Corridor. Corridor is a green run connecting the higher Mary Jane base and lower winter park base. The ski out portion to winter park is kind of flat. So you need to push a bit. Ski in portion from Mary Jane base has enough grade . A word of caution for beginners: there are only black and blue runs to Mary Jane base. So for true beginners, you might want to take Green line bus (free) home from The Depot at Winter Park base. It just one stop of bus ride. The bus will stop right at our condo building. Yes, there is a ski rental shop on premise. Our condo is small but well appointed. Many units in the resort are studio sized with Murphy bed. Just pay attention when you book your unit. We are a family of four and we are fine with it. It is kind of small though. We didn't use the on-site restaurant, pool, , hot tub, game room, etc so we couldn't comment on those. There is an underground parking garage under the building. But due to the height restriction (I think it's about 6 feet and 5 inches) we parked our SUV with roof top carrier in one of limited outside parking spaces. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Winter Park and the Iron Horse condo.

The location was great, and the place itself was very nice to be in. I was not impressed with some of the staff. They had their hours listed, but we had to wait ovet an hour for someone to show up when we just had a quick important question. That took away from our skiing time. Also when we arrived we accidentally came in the wrong door and the woman at the front desk was very hostile towards us for that. Those were the only 2 negative interactions with the staff. We did get breakfast there and the bartender and cook were both extremely friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a good ski in ski out location for winter park, I would highly recommend this place.

I have been to Iron Horse twice. Very laid back and relaxing. Ski in and Ski out directly to the Winter Park/ Mary Jane trails and the Village just a short distance away. You litteraly just walk out the back door of the place and ski to the Village if you wish. The buses run all the time at least in the winter so you can catch a ride to the village every 15 minutes for free. No need to ever take the car out once you arrive. There is a ski rentals shop on the property. There is a great little restaurant just off the lobby for dinner in the evening. Oh yeah, hot tubs and heated swimming pool year around! I noticed they had two or three Group Meeting (event or corporate I suppose) areas on the property as well. Enjoy! KC

I was in room 2309, and it was a fantastic place. The condo was gorgeous, it was right next to the pool and hot tubs, which were consistently clean and operational. The staff there was very friendly and supportive, there is a reason my organization comes back year after year.

Owners Assoc BOOTED our vehicle and we almost missed our flight. You have to use an access code to enter the garage so they must be governed by idiots. IF you stay here beware! Get one of the newer units. The older ones are cramped and only have 1 bath. Rentals in town saved $10/day and you can return onsite, the ski in/out was really the only nice part.

A little out of the way but it has so in and ski out available. There are also shuttles running here constantly. The rooms are very big and very clean. Plarking is limited so try to bring as few vehicles as possible.

Good location. Ski in and out (as long as Mary Jane is open). Good amenities, garage parking for vehicles under 6'5"

Cozy condos with walking access to the resort. Amenities are a bit outdated. Steam sauna was not working. Locker room was a bit grungy. I'd go there again. We were there in the summertime.

Felt like a run down apartment complex. Walked into our building and a terrible odor is all in the elevator and the hallways. It smelled like piss and then walking through the halls there is an equally bad smell with random stains all over the floor that look like piss or something else that hasn t been cleaned in a long time. After getting to our room it was clear there was no a/c in the unit and the way they are designed allows for minimal airflow through the room. Even with the sliding door open it was miserably warm and hard to sleep at night. These condos are extremely in need of being updated. It is obvious they are making money off the location with no care to the comfort or cost of guests or people staying here.

I have stayed at Iron Horse in the past and it was great but this time I had a very bad experience. The garage door broke while we were there and the maintenance manager had put up a tarp for the door. We left to go to dinner through this tarp and the tarp fell down. As we were guess and not the maintenance people we did not do anything about this. When we came back from dinner the maintenance manager started chasing us around the parking lot and yelling obscenities at us and yelling that we had knocked down his tarp. I repeatedly ask him to quick but he told me he could say whatever he wanted to us. We parked the car and ran into the lobby where he and one of his employees followed us and he knocked my phone out of my hand as I was video taping him yelling at us. We called management at Iron Horse but they never responded. We then called the police and they indicated they say everything on video in the lobby and we could file a police report but we felt that this was pretty harsh and indicated that we would try and contact the management again. Several days later they responded back but really didn't seem like they could care less which I was surprised. We were very very scared so be careful if you stay here.

Very nice rooms and amenities. Heated pool, 2 large hit tubs, and the steam room are great features. Very close to ski run.

The resort is in a beautiful location that has a nice walking trail that heads into town. It has an old school feel to the rooms and is right next to the ski lifts.

The place is fine only the property manager never returned any messages. Be advised Iron Horse Condos is a different company than Winter Park Management so you need to call WPM for any rental questions about Iron Horse Condos. I found all this out the hard way and hope this helps someone else.

Best ski-in ski-out resort in Colorado. No need to take a bus or walk carrying your skis. Walk out of a building onto a ski path that takes you to the base of WP.Return from the Mary Jane side.

Stayed here two nights. Perfectly fine. Would happily go back again. Didn't really use facilities and carpark was a little claustrophobic but all in all would recommend.

We come up to Winter Park during the summer to hike and ride bikes. This is out first time staying at Iron Horse. Great location and nice place. Would come back.

I hope people use this as a last resort. The condo association is counter to tourists even if it is in the heart of the resort. The front desk folks are super rude to help and guests who need assistance. The property management group has extremely poor social skills...i mean come on guys, if you have been here be honest and lay out the truth about being here.I added a star because they contacted me to remedy the situation. I appreciate that.

While pricey, it lives up to the price tag with a cozy and aesthetically pleasing atmoshpere. Appliances are all provided, and the access to the ski resort is very convenient.

Was lead to believe I would be renting a 1 bedroom apartment and ended up with a studio which had lights out, no toilet paper, half of a spatula, and a shower that randomly alternates between ice cold and freezing hot. Pros: nice staff and great hot tubs
