I can't in good faith recommend them as the place to go for a diesel emission test. The first time I used them they left my vehicle in overdrive during the test which jacked up all the opacity numbers. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt the second time I used them. I will not be using them a third time. They just don't seem like the sharpest tools in the box. 2 stars since they weren't terrible people, just incompetent seeming.I highly recommend Akisp Diesel Emissions in north Denver. It's just a diesel emissions testing site and not a shop, making it instantly feel more legitimate.Hope this helps other diesel owners.

These guys are absolute diesel experts. Originally found PerformanceWise after I bought an '07 diesel truck and needed an emissions test. Was able to make an appointment same day, the test was fast and I was very impressed with their customer service. Fast forward to the truck having problems. Went to another place first and it was diagnosed wrong with costly repairs that didn't fix the problem. Then took it to PerformanceWise and they immediately knew the cause, Mechanic Isaac was beyond knowledgeable about all the ins and outs of my specific diesel engine ('07 6.0L Powerstroke) and spent time explaining the diagnosis, gave me HONEST opinions and in the end saved me a ton of money without any financial gain on their side. This is when you know you can truly trust a shop. If you are looking for a place to take your diesel that you know you can trust and that they know their stuff, these are your guys. ZERO INTEGRITYSpent over 8,000 at this "shop" on injectors glow plugs and a bunch of ancillary things I wouldn't have done had they taken the time to actually do a compression test and know it was time for more than just injectors. But as their G.M. Issac said " we wanna get it on October's books"As I was having my truck towed to a different shop, my tow truck driver said I've towed six or seven trucks outta this place. Not a good testimony in itself!My boss brought our work truck here before we knew they have problems,also a huge Nightmare!!There's way better places!

Very trusted shop to go to and get your repairs done every time I ve been in there. They ve been honest, trustworthy and get the job done in a good time frame. I highly recommend performance wise to all my friends.

These guys are great - I usually do my own maintenance on a 97 OBS PSD, but when there is something thats beyond me, I bring it to Performance Wise and they find the problem and have the experience to fix it. Highly recommended!

Great group of guys and great communication. I have had my truck into them twice now. They came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. I drive from Thornton to Wheat Ridge so that they can work on my truck. I pass several other shops but I TRUST theses guys! Thank you!

Good work on my F250, couldn't figure it out and they did a solid repair. 150 miles in and no repeat issues. Friendly service, even keep track of your phone # and update you, and answer their phone! Not the cheapest in town, but for a good reason, again, good work guys! Thank you!

Got a diesel emissions done in less than a half hour. After trying places close to my location and not getting an appointment for over 2-3weeks found this place and it was worth the drive and got it done in no time. Comfortable waiting area and very nicely treated. Highly recommend for all your diesel needs.

I have used Performance wise for many years. Nick is excellent to work with. Keeps me informed on any and all matters that need to be addressed. Easy to get appointment great follow through and always promptI recommend them highly.

I took a GMC 3500 here because it wasn't shifting. They called the next day to tell me it was fixed and the total was $231. When I went to pick up the truck it still didn't shift and it appeared as though nothing had been done on the vehicle but I was still charged the $231 and I'm back where I started.If you don't like your money, I'd recommend burning it, using it as toilet paper or throwing it directly into the trash rather than give it to this shop for doing absolutely nothing.

Hands down, this is the best shop I ve used for my trucks in many years and many states. They are communicative, prompt and respectful. They stand behind their work and take the time to help me understand the results of the diagnostics and all viable solutions. I highly recommend these guys!

This is the second time I ve brought a 6.0 ford in to Performance Wise that wouldn t run and within the week, it was back up and running just as it should. The performance wise diesel crew is top notch and have gone above and beyond to always make sure my truck is in tip top shape. Nick is a stellar guy to work. Mechanics are very knowledgeable and know what there doin. If you have a diesel truck and need repairs and your not taking it there your crazy! Always a great experience at PERFORMANCE WISE DIESEL!!

Showed up a few mins late to get my emissions done and they worked with me to knock it out by turning on the machine and getting my test done. The shop dog and shop are all very nice. Would recommend for sure!

Ive had nothing other than a positive experience with Performance Wise service . Performance Diesel is awesome. We are on our 3rd Diesel, and they have serviced all three, including some fairly unique issues. From emission tests, to basic service, this group is knowledgeable and we completely trust them with our trucks. Chris and Nick are the best! They treat me with respect and explain repairs and issues to me when I come in without my husband, without making me feel stupid. I m a bit intimidated backing our truck up in their parking lot. They are always there to help. We ve had some very strange issues with our trucks, and Performance Diesel can always figure it out and get us back up and running. This is a well-run business. We are completely satisfied. Thank you Perfomance Diesel.

I love that they are kind of a niche diesel shop. They are the best and are passionate about light duty 2000-present day Ford, Chevy, and Dodge diesels. Love that they always recommend and can easily get OEM or standard aftermarket parts.

Find another shop. I brought my diesel truck in for cold start issues. They replaced all of the glow plugs, wiring harness and relay. They did this super fast. Some of these parts had been Replaced recently so I asked to have the old part. They could not come up with it. (This was the same day as the service had been completed.)When I brought it home it was having the same issues as before I took it in. They stated that I probably needed new injectors I took it back down and they found a battery issue which they stated they had checked before. They charged the battery and stated it was good. While there it got broken into with the dash being ravaged and things stollen while in their parking lot. They claim no responsibility for this. In the end I can not trust that they did any of the work they said they did at $1.5k and they will take 0 responsibility for the damage while in their possession. They even refused to park it inside for protection once broken into and the door lock disabled. They stated this has happened before and they take no responsibility for it. DO NOT entrust your vehicle to them.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I've been getting my truck serviced by Performance Wise for 8+ years now. I had tried a few other local shops around town prior, and refuse to deal with stealerships. After a friend of mine referred me to PW and I dealt with Nic I knew that my hunt for a good diesel shop was over.I've had everything thing from minor to major work done and each time was personal, professional, and thorough. Nic has always been such a pleasure to work with along the way, advising me in some cases to go ahead and wait before getting some things done, so that I could get the benefit of saving some money by doing the service bundled with other things when that time comes.Been a fantastic shop for many years, and hope they maintain the style of operation and service that I have consistently received here, so that I can continue to rely on them well into the future.

The repairs were good! The people were friendly. But communication was atrocious and they told me repairs would take 1 day actual took 3 days not counting the weekend days the don t work. So they had my truck in total five days. I work in customer service and understand things happen, but to not communicate and make the customer call you not good practice. The price as expected did go up after the estimate due to other issues that were found. The price for labor was high but that is a chance you take going to a repair shop you have never gone to before. They did suggest replacing additional parts they felt needed attention though some of the parts such as K&N air filter can be cleaned, and breaks were at 1/2 life and not necessary at that moment. All in all for me just not a good experience. I will seek another shop for any future repairs.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto emissions testing

This was my first time visiting these guys. I had them do my emissions of my 2017 Chevy truck. I have no problem with them. I am thinking about going to them for my regular service and repairs on my truck. If the customer service is that good all the time I'm sure I would change my rating to a 5 star. Will see what happens.

The staff was friendly, the lobby was spotless and comfortable and I was in and out for my Jefferson County Diesel Emissions inspection in less than 30 minutes (had one person in front of me in the queue).WARNING: If its storming with Lightning, they cannot do the inspection, something about God's wrath or something.This place really was great, I will go back to them as my regular palce.

I called several diesel repair shops and none were able to tackle the issue with my truck. Even the dealership didn't want to attempt it. The truck has a breathalyzer in it which is an added hassle. I called Performance wise and talked with Nick. He said that they could get it in as soon as I could get it to them. Shamus was the technician that took care of the problem. My truck is back on the road and at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend these guys.
