Really loved this campground! Small but cute and well maintained. Lots of trees/ shade, nice sized lots with privacy. Laundry room was immaculate. Saw deer pretty much every day.Verizon cell service wasnone existent but their wifi was really good. Couldn't connect when first arrived but walked towards office, connected and no issues for rest of stay. Would certainly stay here again!

We stayed a night in SugarBush campground in Howard Colorado right off I-50. This small campground is family owned and operated by some of the nicest people who made us feel welcome. The campsites are in and around beautiful pine trees, pull through and back-in sites with a creek running through. Our site was close to level with 30 amp FHU and enough room to fit our 32' Motorhome with our car on a tow dolly. We enjoyed the quiet evening and wished we had booked more time there. The office has a well stocked liquor store and there's a really nice, clean laundry room right next door. We recommend this park as an overnight or relax and stay longer.

Sugarbush Campground saved our vacation. We found this business due to car troubles, but in the future we will definitely make this campground part of the plan! The owner Dara is super helpful and kind, the sites are small but the amenities are clean, the babbling brook through the campground is relaxing, and there are lots cute decorations and shabby chic treats. Don t miss this campground for either tent or RV camping adventures.

We loved camping here while on a long trip with our teardrop trailer. Friendly, helpful owners who continue to put many charming and interesting touches on what appears to be a smallish, older campground. No problem and easy drive getting back and forth to Salida, which was our destination for activities during the days we stayed. Laundry facilities were a real bonus for us. We extended our stay here beyond our original plan. Would most definitely return!

Sugarbush Campground is a quaint little family owned RV/Campground fenced around and tucked into the town of Howard, CO (I believe it consists of a post office and a couple stores) run by some very friendly people. Note, they were on our Good Sam list but do not offer discounts, though most of us are aware these do change year to year.Great little place for families, a quick trip or a few nights. The place includes a laundry room, bathrooms with showers, and a little liquor store that also offers a few RV/camp items. The water is of good quality here too. Each RV spot includes water, electric, and sewer. Most are back in spaces with a few pull throughs in the middle. The tent campground area includes some spaces with electric. The cons would include the highway noise (not too bad at night), the fenced in feel for those who need to roam and get a little claustrophobic, and the lack of walking amenities (nice if traveling long distances). The last would be those live-ins (1-2) and their lack of tidiness and pet's left outside at night to bark.Overall a good, clean park I'd stay at again if in the area. I recommend this one.

Love this campground. It is petite and just the right size. Location to Salida was about 15 minutes. Quite and relaxing. Friendly staff and friendly neighborhood. Look forward to camping there again in the near future. They have electricity, water, hot showers and a laundry room.

We stayed in an rv a year ago and returned this year in a tent. This place is super kid friendly it s safe, quiet, has a place to ride bikes, a creek and some tires to climb on. The bathrooms are super nice and clean. The host is so helpful and cheerful and easy to find around camp for questions. This campground is one of a kind sprinkled with Lilly s touch to make it truly inviting and a place you wanna come back to. We will return and I highly recommend.

This is a smaller rv& tent park of HWY 50 just 20 miles east off Salidia. There are trees so if you have a giant 5th wheel or a class A just look around to be safe.Bathhouse is clean with a code, wifi is ok good enough for fb, email ect. Can stream short videos but not movies or steaming services. AT&T service works enough to get texts or a VM. A stream runs in the middle of the grounds we had site 19 which has the stream next to it and runs right thru the back of the site. The park is close to the road so that really is the only downside. Nice fire rings and picnic tables. Which are freshly painted wooden ones and they must be slowly replacing them with those nice round metal ones which are at half or more of the sites. Trees at every site except some of the tent sites on the east side which are still shaded somewhat. Liquor store that has some supplies and ice cream. Nice hookups at all rv sites. We really enjoyed ourselves if was peaceful.

Thank you Beth & Tom for the beautiful stay! We traveled and stayed at many campgrounds during our road trip and we saved the best and longest stay for last. It was very quiet, great views, had our pick of spots and right next to the little stream that runs through campground was awesome. Bathrooms were clean and great showers and changing area! Was so happy I found this place. And was a great area to do local things, short drives. Royal Gorge, ATV, Horseback riding...and then go back to quiet with a campfire and relax. Laundry also avail.Note: for others, they no longer have any kind of store. Unfortunately no wood or ice either. This would be something i think they should have on hand since they do have the campground and its 12 miles into Salida for those items. But we found ourselves going that way anyway to our many day outings, so wasn't a big deal.If I am ever back in that area, i will def stay there. :) And i can not say that about a few others we stayed at during this trip. Thanks again for the stay!

If I could give 10 stars, I would! This campground is perfection. The sites are well appointed, each one has it's unique qualities. There are trees, and a beautiful serene creek running through the property. The owner is a wonderful person, salt of the earth! All the services worked as expected, and the rate was very reasonable. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back!

Very nice park tucked into the woods. Small creek runs through the park and we loved sitting and listening to it. Short distance to Salida. Owners are very nice and helpful with information. There is a nice little coffee shop across the hwy from the park. I would say probably rigs larger than 30 ft will not fit. This is an older park from back in the time that there were no huge rigs. Ask the owners as they will tell you if your rig will fit. Several times we saw deer walking through the park during our stay.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Sugarbush Campground. The owner, Lily is an amazing host. Because of the effects of Covid-19 I was worried about my elderly sister visiting me in Colorado. Lily rented us one of her camper/cabin accommodations. When I expressed my concerns she filled me in on the vigorous cleaning and detail oriented precautions that she takes to ensure the safety of her guests. I also witnessed her doing this at 6am on a Saturday morning (You Go Girl!!). I've lived here for a few years but she was able to recommend wonderful local outdoor activities and local restaurants that I was unaware of. Her facilities were spotless and there was even a place to do laundry (my washer at home had just broken). The warmth of her campground and her hospitality made the stress of visiting family turn into a time that I could actually enjoy. I only wish there was river access, but there was a lovely stream that runs straight through the campground. We were able to sit near the campfire and listen to the water under those beautiful pine trees. Thank you so much for giving me a beautiful and safe place to enjoy my family. (And thank you for putting them up so I didn't have to clean my own house!). Good Luck Lily.

Small wonderful park. Nicely shaded, good size lot plus one of the best bath houses I've experienced. Has full hook ups for RV as well as tent sites (some with electric). 10 miles from Salida, CO.

Just lovely! My husband and I stayed at Sugarbush Campground for a month earlier this year and we loved every day of our stay. The park is peaceful, clean, and the owner (Lily) is so sweet, hard working, and accommodating. We liked that the RV spots were tucked behind the main building meaning we didn't hear as much road noise than we would have at other parks in the area. We also loved: our fire pit, the laundry facilities, being a short 15 minute drive from Salida, cooling off next to the little stream that runs through the park, and going on walks with our dog up W Creek Rd (across from the park, across highway 50). The campground's WiFi is pretty reliable and we used WiFi calling when needed. 10/10, we highly recommend!

Great campground, very quiet and quaint. Has a little Creek running through it and deer visit frequently. Close to Salida which is a adorable little town and post office is right across the street from campground which is very convenient. Bathrooms with showers are very clean along with the laundry room. Will definitely camp here again.

We've been rving for 15 years and have stayed in many rv parks throughout the west, Sugarbush is by far the best park we have stayed in. Lilly and staff keep the park and bathrooms spotless. We were here during freak snowstorm last week and Lilly went around to make sure all campers were safe and warm, you don't see this in the big parks. Lilly truly wants to make you stay memorable and enjoyable. Sugarbush has laundry room with the most efficient dryer I've ever seen. The Wi-Fi compensates for the lack of cell service. Sugarbush is like rving at a 5 star hotel. Thank you Lilly and Staff. Don't forget to visit Mollys ice cream shop across the street

We had a great 2-night stay at Sugarbush and would stay there again! Small, quiet and well-kept. Enjoyed the lovely flowers and the small stream running through it. The owner was kind and helpful. Surprise bonus- the salted caramel ice cream from the general store across the street. So good.

As everyone else has said, great place , nice and clean , level ground , great little store , super nice staff and great location. There is no cell service in the area so you are depending on Wi-Fi calling and internet from the office router, when the place is busy the bandwidth is not sufficient and it hard to get online. Also , when the place is near capacity there is a garbage disposal issue as the trash bins get completely full. All that said , will definitely go back and highly recommend the place.

We stopped for the night while passing thru. We were very glad we did. The campground was very quiet (as quiet as it could have been next to Hwy 50) and very well taken care off - you could tell this is not just a money making enterprise, but also a labor of love. The sites were not too close together and each had a fire pit and picnic table. Sadly no cell coverage at all on the area, but the campgrounds free wifi definitely takes care most communication needs! The rest rooms /showers were not new, but best of all CLEAN!!! If you are looking for a nice quiet clean campground this one is it!!!!

This is the third year we have stayed here while visiting family. Of course the mountains are incredible and there is so much to do in the area. The owners keep the campground comfortable with just the right touch in keeping the natural trees and some landscaping. THe owners ree great hosts and a part of the community here. Both the store and laundry are attractive and inviting. We'll be back next year!

This small campground is a gem. Very peaceful, plenty of shade trees, clean restrooms, and dog friendly.. The owners couldn t have been nicer about an error that we made with our reservation.

My friend and I had a wonderful experience at Sugarbush. The grounds are clean and tidy with beautiful trees and nice details like flowers, a turtle crossing , and picnic tables that are in great shape. The owner of the campground, Lily, was kind and helpful. She even suggested a hike that was perfect for us.

This is a nice quiet Mom & Pop RV/campground. When I called them they were friendly and answered all my questions. I did some hiking so a shower was mandatory and they had them.I arrived around 4pm on a Friday afternoon after doing some fishing on the nearby Arkansas River. The owners were friendly and walked me to the campsite and let me choose which site I wanted. Site #17 is a sweet spot right next to a small creek and electric outlet. The campsite was quiet and well maintained. The tables were fine and the restrooms were clean and warm in the morning. There is an onsite laundromat and they sell beer in the country store.I will stay here again and would recommend this place. The price was very fair for camping.

Our F350 broke down literally across the street while pulling our 40 ft 5th wheel Toyhauler, right before a freak early snowstorm in August. I cannot speak more highly about this establishment and the local community in general. Ben, the owner of the coffee shop across the street (newly renovated with excellent coffee and snacks-- try them out!) posted on the local community page, and within a couple hours some local gentlemen had towed us across the street to Sugarbush. Lily was amazing!! When she heard of our predicament she called us, discussed options, and welcomed us into the only spot available. We made it in safely right as it began to snow. The next day we hardly remembered we had been in trouble just the day before. We truly enjoyed staying in this quaint, woodsy Resort. We were playing in the snow, making a snow man with our 2 year old, wholly enjoying ourselves. In our 4 years of traveling in an RV we have never experienced such wholesome, good hearted people. Come, and rest easy at this wonderful establishment.
