Recently had my car towed through a AAA request, and Towing got us quick and towed us to the WV Shell. I had concerns about my car getting back to Denver and a chaotic experience with the dealership in Denver; however, Chris at West Vail Shell went above and beyond to help figure out the issues! It took 4 days to get the issue resolved (as the dealership messed up) and Chris was helpful and kind throughout the whole process. Although I hope I am not needing a tow anytime soon, I would definitely use these guys time after time. Thanks again for all the help!

Not the greatest gas station in the world. Some of my gripes include that there aren t prices on most of the stuff in the store so you have no idea what you ll end up paying. There was also not mirror in the bathroom, which made it impossible to snap a quick pic for the gram. A positive, the woman working was really nice.

Incredible company. Every driver is kind. Yesterday I waited 4 hours for a tow with triple a then put in a new request, they picked the car up after hearing me call them explaining the situation and how I almost went out of pocket. They also went out of their way to pick up today s call to get my car to denver. Choose this company, they are genuinely trying to help people out instead of picking up for the money!!!

I needed roadside assistance one evening and my insurance put me in touch with this service station. This used to be my local place to get gas and I knew right away who I was talking to. Usually a friendly face who asks how my day is going, Dan was inpatient and patronizing during what was already a scary time being on the side of 70 with an 8ft shoulder. When trying to figure out where exactly my car was, Dan thought he needed to explain what mile markers are and tried telling me he d call me back once I knew I had everything I needed for them to come change my tire. I had to loudly interrupt him to tell him I know my vehicle and had a good general idea of where I was. Thankfully the man who showed up 45 minutes later to fix my tire was very kind, helpful and made up for the previous behavior. My husband and I no longer support this service station.

Not enough stars! My teen kids were skiing at Copper Mountain and locked their keys in their car (Copper Mountain is 35-45 minutes and over a mountain pass from Vail). My son has diabetes and all his emergency supplies were also in the car locked up so they needed into the car ASAP, and I was at least 2 hours away. I called every locksmith in the area, no one would either answer the phone or was too busy to help them. Darren (I think that was his name) at West Vail Shell not only was willing, he was on the road in under 10 minutes and before I had even paid him to help my kids. He was there in less than 45 minutes and (quite literally) saved the day. I am grateful for his friendly service. 10 stars!Service: Car lockouts

FYI: My wife told me the restroom was clean. However, the door handles are missing, and the sink faucet is broken off.

Shawn rocks!Great customer service. Great conversation and knowledge of the area. He went above and beyond trying to find us a garage that would work on our bus. Even though nobody in the area would do a simple repair he had our back.Give this guy a raise!Aaron and Jess

Had my car towed because I parked in an area near a trailhead that was not allowed. Had to take an Uber to get to this station. Once there they charged full price for towing, which was around $300. They had asked me if I wanted a receipt and when I said yes they said they had to do the transaction over again because she had "accidentally" charged me over $700. It seemed very shady and scam like, and also done on purpose. They seemed to have made a big business of towing cars for the police. If you get towed here make sure to ask for a receipt.Service: Car towing

These guys were super helpful and knowledgeable. My car broke down on I-70 and they were able to get me back to Vail quickly and then to a shop in Boulder without difficulty. We are so grateful to Shawn and Cut for saving our day! We got stranded on the side of the interstate after an unsalvageable tire had blown. It was Saturday evening, all mechanics and tire shops closed for the weekend, and they still found the time to tow us all the way from Vail to Aurora in almost no time at all. Shawn was great conversation, and siblings in metal/punk always find each other, and so I'm grateful for Cut's Misfits shirt that immediately tipped me off to this connection and then his rad Slayer tattoo that followed Thank you both, Shawn and Cut! Not all heroes wear capes but you both were our heroes from Vail to all the way home again

BEST Towing experience I've EVER had. I got a flat on my way to hospital. Within 10 minutes of calling AAA a truck shows up, a guy named Travis helped me out of my truck, grabbed my oxygen tank for me, then got me to my Dr appointment on time. Not only that, he took the vehicle exactly where I instructed, found the hole in tire, plugged it, charged the battery, and left the keys in a safe spot - without me asking. ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVICE! Was literally stuck on the side of a mountain, with a car that was on fire. My insurance company was no help and couldn't find anybody to tow us into town for 2 hrs. One call to the amazing people at West Vail Shell and they were there in twenty minutes. The safely got my family and me to the next town and we were able to continue our vacation. I recommend them 100% and will always be a loyal customer!!!Service: Car towing

Today I had a hell of a day. I called the Shell Vail Valley Towing and DARIN came to my rescue! He not only helped to tow my vehicle but also helped me find my car keys. Long story short. My son was traveling from California to Wisconsin. He had significant mechanical issues with an older car and was stuck on I-70. Trying to assist my son from WI, and several hours of phone calls, I ended up talking with Chris from West Vail Shell. He obviously knew the "valley" and guided me on the best options to solving car repair etc. He was helpful about local services and options. Ultimately, he was able to tow the car for a reasonable price. I appreciate his help in a tough time trying to sort out a difficult situation. If I ever have problems driving through this area, West Vail Shell will be the first to call!Service: Car towing

Darin was fabulous! My alternator went out in Edwards and West Vail Shell picked me up, but when the part could not be replaced in Vail for several days he got me (the car and my dog) all the way home to Denver. I felt so helpless until Darin came along and took charge getting me safely and quickly home. It's so nice to know Darin and West Vail Shell are up there. I had a very positive experience with everyone at the West Vail Shell Gas Station. My car broke down and they were very accommodating and helpful. I needed to be towed about 60 miles away and they were terrific! Highly recommend!

Shaun came & found us on the side of the road & changed my flat tire so fast it made my head spin!He knew how to get my spare down & even loaded my flat tire for me. He recommended I get air in the spare, it was just a little low. He was very nice & told me of all the local places that could repair the tire in the morning. This was at 8:30pm on a Sunday night!!What a great service! Thank you so much!!

I damaged a leaf spring on my travel trailer in Glenwood Canyon making it unsafe for highway travel. After speaking with two other tow companies via AAA that were not able to help me, I finally spoke with Chris from West Vail Shell. He asked lots of questions in order to fully understand my situation and explained in detail why it was not possible to transport my travel trailer back to the front range on that day. Chris then provided me with several other outside the box solutions, one of which worked perfectly for me. Highly recommended.

The gentleman working the shift on 12/1/19 at 8:30pm was really nice. We were very impressed with how helpful he was. We were having issues with low tire pressure and he helped as much as he could. This store was the only place that had air in Vail and it was free. We were driving back from Utah so the free air was very helpful. Thank you we will be stopping here every time we drive this direction from now on.

Thanks so much! Triple AAA sent a tow truck when I really needed a battery replacement but Travis stuck around while I went to get a battery and then he changed it for me! Super helpful, quick and kind!

I hit a pothole going from the mountains to Denver, blew out my tire, and West Vail Shell came to the rescue. Could not have been a better experience. Chris was kind and communicative setting up the towing from Vail to Denver. Sean delivered my car this morning and again, was so kind, friendly, and helpful. And to add to everything, it was a busy night for them, they were working on no sleep, and you'd never know it. If you find yourself in need to car assistance in the mountains, look no further. I had a great experience with this Shell. Got a flat tire (in our driveway), they had someone (Zack)out to me within an hour. Zack was very knowledgeable and friendly and found the issue within minutes and helped me get the tire off so I could get it serviced the next morning when their shop opened. Darin was a godsend to me. I am from Chicago and I was trying to get back home from Salt Lake City and had detoured stupidly when I80 was closed due to unexpected winter storms last month. My car is little and my tires aren't great and after 2 incredibly stressful days of isolated snowy icy mountain roads, my car slid off around a curve and down into the bushes about 5 feet below. After being rescued and towed out, I made it to the West Vail Shell. I was terrified about driving through the Vail Pass without chains. Darin was incredibly sensitive to my trauma and to me. He totally reassured me in a way that made me cry and still makes me cry. He showed me what all the passes still to come looked like in real time. They weren't that snowy and icy at that point and he told me to just stay on the black lines. He didn't think I would need the chains and I drove the rest of the way saying to myself over and over, "just stay on the black lines." Well I lived to tell about it and to say to you that some of the nicest people I've ever encountered were the ones that helped me out on this harrowing drive home. Thank you Darin! :)

Our Class A motor home decided to blow out one of the catalytic converters which decreased our engine power slightly and caused a very loud backfire sound. Luckily we were able to get to the rest stop in Edwards. Our insurance agent was able to get in touch with these guys at West Vail Shell to tow our RV to Denver, they saved the day!! We were able to continue our drive home in our Jeep. Very professional towing services!Service: Long distance hauling
