Our semi-truck just flat out stopped over the pass in Vale and no where to pull off the road. My husband jumped out to troubleshoot as the danger was extreme to be stopped with no shoulder. In about 10 minutes "Big Jon" pulled up behind us which gave us a sigh of relief that we wouldn't get hit with him behind us. He graciously gave my husband ( a mechanic) time to look at the truck, but we decided it was going to take some time. Jon hooked us up and towed us to the top of the hill, while a snow storm was starting. He also radioed a mechanic for us who initially followed us, but a massive multi car/ semi accident behind us pulled him away. Big Jon had to drop us and leave to the accident but Mountain Recovery sent the mechanic, stayed in touch, and when we couldn't get the semi started another tow truck driver, Seth, towed us to Denver. Big Jon was absolutely the best. Friendly, professional and seemed to understand the frustrations of a truck driver breaking down. He was pleasant and honest and up front on pricing. I will remember Big Jon the rest of my life for parking behind us on I-70 while my husband looked at the engine. My terror that we would be hit was gone knowing he was parked behind us. I thank him for that with all my heart. Seth was a professional through and through, was knowledgeable and had an amazing attention to detail. He towed us the 60 miles to Denver in that snow and ice and we arrived safely with his excellent driving and our truck was well taken care of. These two tow truck drivers along with the lady in the office were flat out exemplary. No one ever wants to be in that situation and my husband has not been towed in the 17 years he's been a truck driver. But, it happened and Mountain Recovery treated us with respect and concern every step of the way. They are fair on costs which was a relief as predatory towing is rampant in the trucking industry. We are safe and so is our truck because of their assistance. Thank you Mountain Recovery.

Matt gave us a tow in a snowstorm and was very friendly and gave us a tow to the chain station. He gave us advise to get the rest of the way toward Denver. What a great company and person, would highly recommend. Very affordable too.

I am extremely grateful for Mountain Recovery. They went above and beyond in helping recover my car after sliding and spinning off of the highway. It was a stressful situation and they took all of the worry out of it. Every employee we talked to was helpful, kind, and professional. They sent out a driver quickly to get the car. Jack, the tow operator, was able to find and get to the car without any problems. He checked the car for damages and made sure it was still safe to drive. He also dropped the car off at a location that worked best for us. They really did take care of everything. Their service is fantastic. I would call them again without hesitation.

If this is the same group out of Vail Co, I ran across an employee named Jack. This is a guy that really makes kindness and good deeds go around the world. Jack, thank you 100000% for the tips. Don't change man, youre a good guy! I hope your company recognizes you and your great character!

We had a tire blow out in Glenwood Canyon. Collin came to our rescue. He got us settled into the cab of his truck, loaded our car, and took us to Denver. He went above and beyond by taking us to our home, helping us unload the car, and then delivering the car to the dealership. I might add that this took place between 11:00 PM and 2:30 AM! He was kind, personable and a joy to ride with. His dog, Rosie, was a terrific traveling companion. Collin made a bad situation pleasant.Service: Car towing

We overheated heading west up vail pass. We made it to the top and got off the road to figure out what was going on. Mountain Recovery sent Jack and Scout, who were on thier way to another recovery to give us a gallon of coolant. They checked back in with us later and we had determined our problem was terminal. They came back, loaded us up and hauled us back to Denver.

Driver ran out of fuel. These crooks charged $20 a gallon after lying about the price. Over $700 for $35. They then lied about 2 other charges. If you break down don't call these guys there are honest people driver up and down the mountain that will help. NEVER call these crooks.

My car slid off the road today into the median of the highway. They called me back as soon as they had a tow truck available and even offered to bring my car up to my work location. The driver was very friendly and called me when he dropped my car off. He even thought to make sure my keys were hidden when he left my car. He also offered to send me a picture so that I could find my car in the parking lot. No one wants to need a tow but I would definitely recommend Mountain Recovery in this kind of stressful situation.

I rolled my 4runner yesterday, AAA couldn't get me any help but Gilbert and Jon had my sweet girl back up the embankment and home before sundown tonight. It's never a good day for a winch out but they made it as painless as possible and were professional every step of the way.Thanks again

If you ever have to deal with this company make sure you have a lawyer. One of the drivers hit me with their company truck. Took the owner of the company Charlie three month to try and pay it. Ended up having to go thru his insurance after he tried to not pay for the damages. Charlie Stubblefield is a snake and a disgrace to the valley. Watch out for this company

Back on the road within 2 hours of initial call.Pretty simple fix, but if you re not your own mobile service operation, then you ll pay for one.I ll call them again if I get in a spot like today.

Both Leslie Parton and Gilbert Ramos were so helpful to me when I was stranded on rt 70 in the mountains with a flat tire. Mountain recovery was the right company to call. Thank you so much for coming to my rescue! Gilly (Gilbert) was very efficient in loaded my van on the flatbed, took no time at all. I was very pleased with their timeliness in reaching me.

I had a blowout on I70 as i was driving my 74 Ford Bronco back to CA from buying it in CO. Collin & Rosie were absolutely amazing. Collin realized that my spare wheel wouldn t properly fit & could come off causing severe damage & potentially a serious accident. Collin & Rosie towed me to a nearby tire shop (at no extra charge!!) who appear to be able to help me, dropped me off at a great hotel, & made a recommendation for coffee & pastries in the morning. Collin s a good dude & Rosie s a good girl! He made what was a bad situation somewhat better.Services: Car towing, Tire change

On our way to Surgery in Vail our car died - first person on the scene was Gilbert Ramos of Mountain Recovery who called in a tow truck ( he was in his pickup with snowmobile on it!) We were in a bad spot so we got loaded onto the tow truck in the car - icy roads, heavy fast traffic. When he heard we were on our way to a surgery appointment he took us straight to the hospital - I believe we are the first/only patients to be delivered on a tow truck.... This was SERVICE WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND. Gilbert you were amazing!Service: Car towing

Mountain recovery saved the day! The quickly got us out of traffic in dangerous blizzard conditions, loaded us on the tow truck and got us safely down the mountain. They were all the things you want in emergency service- fast, safe, calm. Highly recommend. Gilly was a pro driver and very calming and polite. Thanks for keeping i70 safe!

Gilbert was awesome today. Needed help with my chains coming through Vale pass. Gilbert was a huge help and also called ahead to other drivers to relay the road conditions to me. Thanks to his help I was able to get through the pass and to my destination.

When I was passing through Colorado my low coolant light came on and I pulled off the road just before the tunnel. Yep, the coolant was low and just as I was wandering how I was going to continue a Mountain Recovery truck pulled up to me and asked if I needed help. What? I could not believe my eyes! Where did he come from? The mechanic, Matt, said that he saw me from the other side and came to help. He fixed my problem and I was on my way! Thank you Matt, great job!

I contacted Mountain Recovery about my truck being broken down on the side of the highway. I was told they would come fix it for $220 an hour and it would take 3 hours. When he arrived he then told me he could not fix the radiator on the highway and that he would have to tow me 10 miles and the total cost for the tow and labor would be $6500. When I called and spoke to someone else to ask why the price was so high, the women told me she couldn t explain the prices and that she no longer felt comfortable to fix the truck. Long story short, they were trying to get an extra few thousand dollars from me and couldn t explain what that money was for. I would stay away from them because it seems like they re trying to scam people of their money.

My sister has car issues during the bad weather in the pass past Vail on Friday and Collin came, loaded her car up, took her to Silverthorn and was very professional. 5 Stars to Collin. If we ever need assistance again, we know who to call! Thanks Mountain Recovery!

AWESOME AWESOME GILBERT!!! This was my first time being towed off snowy mountain. Gilbert's instructions were so clear, that the maze we had to go through was a piece of cake. lol. Really Gilbert was fantastic especially with his constant hand gestures (instructions) along the way. THANK YOU GILBERT RAMOS!!!!!!!

Gilbert Ramos came to Copper Mtn when my vehicle wouldn't start after many attempts at jumping it. When he arrived the car happen to start on its own and they didn't even charge me a fee! Great customer service and I tipped him for his time. Thanks

By far the best tow company in Colorado. Charlie and his team are true professionals and are highly trained and skilled to get the job done. You won't find nicer or respectful drivers anywhere else. They are always there for you when you need them. I highly recommend Mountain Recovery

It was amazing working with Mountian recovery!! I had my sled stuck in back country in a creek. Mountain recovery busted their tails to get it home! It was completely froze in the creek. We wouldn t have gotten it out otherwise! If anyone has a sled stuck Gilbert with mountian recovery is your go to man!!! Big shout out to Quinn for all the hard work!!Service: Special vehicle towing
