The inn itself is beautiful! The staff is friendly and accommodating, and they go above and beyond to make your stay there memorable. Dinner was amazing as well! It starts with a wine tasting that includes appetizers , and flows into a delicious dinner, which includes a bread course, salad, main and dessert. The meals are freshly prepared and are never the same. Their wines are delicious and they have a large selection of them. They have gifts baskets and unique favors in their wine tasting room.I love this place, and highly recommend it for any special occasion or get away. You don t feel pressured to dress up, as it s very casual and laid back it s unpretentious and welcoming. You feel like you re a VIP for sure!Lyn

While Stratton Colorado may not be on anyone's bucket list for destinations, this place is more than worth the stay. Kind and attentive staff who make you feel welcome and part of a community rather than just a paying customer for a couple of days. We stayed in the Colorado room and it was a great choice. While we did not have time to avail ourselves of the movie theater, there were more options, both VHS and DVD than i have seen in a very long time.Food & drinks: The food is top notch quality, the dinners are definitely not something to be missed out on.

Hidden gem! Find a reason to be off a schedule. 2 hour drive east of DIA, no ski traffic in winter. Lovely food and wine. Look forward to being here to enjoy the outdoor activities they have.Safety: A town of <700 makes it safe!Food & drinks: Culinary and vinter owners make this an off the beaten path luxury!

We LOVED our stay! We stayed in the Sunset Room - very big, comfortable bed, big bathroom, great for sunset. The wine tasting was fun - lots of options. Dinner and breakfast the food was great. Definitely try to Vanilla/Bourbon flavored dessert wine, we loved it. The staff is INCREDIBLE, so kind, attentive, always smiling - really made the experience fun. A cute movie room too with a huge collection of VHS's to watch. Absolutely recommend for an easy night away!!!

This place is a treasure! Dave and Harry were gracious hosts-fun and entertaining. Daniel greeted us warmly and took us to our room which was spacious and beautifully appointed. There is a great variety of wine, the food was out of this world (thank you Bradley and Alex), and the atmosphere is elegant but cozy and comfortable. We stayed one night on our way home from a trip to Colorado Springs, but we'll certainly be back and will recommend it to everyone we know. Well worth the money!

Our stay at the Claremont was spectacular. The food is delicuous and in generous portions. The diversity of wine and price per tasting is difficult to match. Each room is unique and open to view if unoccupied. While it is located in an isolated location, that is just what we were looking for: a chance to play cards, read books, and not be bothered by anything.

I give 2 of my 3 stars to Alex, Bradley and Daniel. They are the true stars and the team. If I could give 3.5 stars overall, the .5 star would be for the wine. I forgot my wine list so as to provide an accurate number of wines available for tasting, but I did not find a red wine that stood out or was agreeable with my palate. However, our prepaid package included two bottles of wine so I selected a white wine and a blackberry infused cabernet that was ok. Had to make a selection. The rooms are nicely furnished but there is no in-room housekeeping service during multiple night reservations. Just a basket with replacement towels and drinks at your door. The ice in the bucket when you arrive is not replaced. You must ask for ice. Bring extra floor fans if you like your room cooler than the 72 degrees the building thermostat is set. The third of three stars is for the food. You don't have a menu choice. The evening meal was fair to good. Breakfast was good. Be sure to inform the team of allergies. They will accommodate. Don't expect to interact with the owners. We weren't warmly greeted by whom I thought was one of the owners. We were transferred to Daniel who greeted us and gave our orientation. Great job Daniel! Our daughter wished an owner a good morning the next day and received an aloof response. My wife experienced a similar aloof response when she returned a soda that had aspartame of which she is allergic. After that, didn't see the owner(s) for the rest of the three days and two nights. Gosh, located in a very small town in eastern Colorado, I've had better welcomes from managers of lesser hotels. Seriously, in the service industry? Repeat business is key to success. Not planning on visiting a third time.

My husband and I where celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary. Claremont winery is absolutely our new favorite place. The room was beautiful, very clean and cozy. The 2 person private jacuzzi tub was absolutely our favorite! The staff was really what made the stay above and beyond. We did pottery. The food...the best I have ever had! Put the room, staff and food together makes it the best ever and most likely our favorite anniversary trip so far! Thank you Claremont Winery! Hopefully See you soon! Wendy and Frank Kirk

Completely exceeded my expectations! If you're looking for more than just a place to sleep, this is the place. From the second you walk through the door it is an experience. They have cooking classes and mystery dinners on most weekends beyond the wine tastings. We did the Thai class and the staff does such a great job at creating an immersive and supportive experience for all levels of cooking.Incredible wine, incredible food, friendly and kind owner and staff.

My mom and I absolutely loved our stay here! There s nothing around so be expecting that, but the experience was incredible. They delivered a pot of coffee outside our door each morning, and there s a movie theater room with an extensive VHS collection and popcorn!!! We chose the sunset room and dinner for a two night stay. The jacuzzi tub in the room was a fun touch. Both dinners were five course meals with a flight of wine to taste of our own selection (5). All of the meals were fantastic. All of the staff were very kind. And the peace and relaxation of the property were much needed! We will keep our eye out for deals to return since it s quite a drive from where we live, but we d love to come back out :)

Excellent ServiceExcellent FoodExcellent WineExcellent RoomsExcellent EverythingI would highly recommend Claremont Inn for a romantic or relaxing get away. You will be treated to delicious meals and drink great tasting wine made in their own winery. The rooms were large and relaxing and we stayed in the Spa Room. It had a sauna, jet pool and massage table so that was awesome. Our only complaint was that the jet tub was extremely loud. We are already talking about when we will return.

This place is a quiet, imaginative gem! The food absolutely blew us away - I highly recommend getting the breakfast and dinner package. They feed you so well, you won't miss lunch! And if you do want something to snack on, they have a small movie theater where you can pop on a DVD or VHS and have some popcorn, provided for free. They also have apple juice and tomato juice in room, also included. The rooms themselves were SO cool to wander, which is allowed as long as no one else has booked them. It's a bit like staying in the Clue mansion. And the people are really sweet and helpful! We're definitely coming back, to stay and likely to book an escape room!

This was a nice surprise. The Inn was a very nice. The room was large and very clean. The wines were passable and not the best. They are made from imported juice and the wine is made on site. These are not aged in oak barrels, so don't get the balance and depth. The food was outstanding, both dinner and breakfast was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would suggest that you visit.

Be sure to reserve dinner. The food and wine are beyond amazing. Prepared perfectly and paired beautifully. The service was outstanding, and we felt right at home. Immaculate rooms and lovely grounds. We had the Secret Garden Room with a back entrance that made unloading easy. The innkeepers went above and beyond to prepare me gluten free treats, so I didn t miss out on anything. We will make the 6 hour drive again to visit here. Well worth the trip, and a great value for what you get.

We had a great stay. The wine, food and accommodations were great. This is a perfect getaway spot to unwind. The hosts, Harry and Dave are involved in the daily functions and details of the Inn. They are personable and attend to the needs of their guests. The rooms are beautifully decorated and we were given the choice of breakfast in our room, which was delicious! We highly recommend the Claremont Inn.

Celebrating a weekend getaway honeymoon we had a 2 night stay. Although we didn't get to stay in the room I had reserved originally because of water heater issues, they were able to accommodate us in the library room which worked out. The country style breakfast brought to the room was amazing and dinner was delicious. Highly recommend and will consider another visit.

Not much I can add to what's been said already. Suffice to say--This was a very pleasant surprise out on Colorado's Eastern Plains! (Just two hours from Denver.) Very friendly hosts... Terrific multi-course meals (accompanied by great service)... Tasty wines... Clean, comfortable, well-appointed rooms. This was a wonderful experience!

Review from young couple! Very pleasant experience: delicious, fresh, creative, homemade 4 course meals. Excellent hospitality. Beautiful mansion with the character and charm we needed for a rejuvenating get away. Decent and unlimited selection of wines to taste with an appetizer brought to you by the chef and owner. Quiet and peaceful.

They have a very good wine tasting. The grapes are sourced nationally but the wine is made locally. The wines are worth tasting. The building interior of the inn is very well decorated. Update stayed overnight with wine tasting and dinner. The rooms are fantastic with each room having a theme. The service is outstanding. Will be back.

This is a hidden gem out in the middle of nowhere! We found it on Groupon and drove in from Denver for my birthday. The staff was amazing, the food was great and it was incredibly clean. My wife and I travel for a living and we thought this was one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed in! The reason I say this is because of the negative review below. We were the only guests on our night of stay and we had the opportunity to tour each room. They all had their own theme and character and were absolutely immaculate! I can't say enough things about this place. It was an absolute pleasure! Thank you!

Wonderful hospitality, Harry and Dave have done a great job. They have an amazing selection of wines to taste and choose from. Our dinner and breakfast were excellent and our accommodations were very comfortable. Look forward to staying with them again in the future and possibly doing a dinner mystery or cooking class.

This place is wonderful. Hotel B & B, also wine tasting and full dinner available. Very attentive owners and staff. I broke down by the freeway in my tractor trailer. When I called for a reservation, he insisted on coming to the truck in his car so I didn't have to walk. The wine is excellent with tasting included. Breakfast was gormet, croissant, fruit, fresh juice, stuffed french toast, eggs and sausage. Coffee delivered to the room before breakfast. Fridge stocked with complimentary sodas and juice, jetted tub, fresh baked cookies in the room. These guys have it together. Stay here, you will love it.

This was the perfect overnight getaway. The property is very nice, rooms were great and the food was amazing. The wine tasting was a great time and the server that we had was very knowledgeable about the wines and the business. Hoping to go back soon.
