ABSOLUTELY STELLAR!!! After using Four Star for years my hubs decided the family cars would be serviced by another shop in town. A few years of increasingly poor service from the other guys and facing an emergency fix on two cars needed so our youngest could move out of state we called Four Star in desperation. I would have understood if they laughed at my request but instead they stepped up BIG TIME and got both vehicles back in tip top shape for the big move 1,000 miles away in record time. We re beyond impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and super courteous service. So grateful and thrilled to be a loyal Four Star customer once again!

We were driving up for a ski trip to Steamboat on Saturday and thought we were having transmission issues. We called Four Star on Monday 8AM. They moved their schedule around to get our Expedition in. Four Star diagnosed an issue with the spark plugs & boots even though they were fairly recently replaced. They fixed the issue, checked the transmission also, and got the truck ready for us by Wednesday. We were able to ski & enjoy our trip because Four Star was so great at communicating everything to us! Even better was when picking it up at Four Star told us there is a 3yr /36k warranty on the repair with nationwide coverage which is awesome since we re from Texas! They even helped clear the two foot of snow on our car . We drove back to Texas and the Expedition ran great!!!Four Star is 5 star in our book!!!

Definitely the best car mechanic shop in town! I love working with David Friday over there, because he s so knowledgeable and friendly and he ll work till the job is done. I decided to take matters into my own hands when the automotive shop quoted me an exorbitant $3400 for a $38 part. With a little DIY magic, I got back on the road within half an hour, saving myself thousands. I can't say I'd recommend their services or return there myself. Plus, without any military discount, it was simply WAY too expensive for my for the average person

I had my car break down and become undriveable during my weekend getaway. I was able to tow it to Four Star's spacious parking lot and leave my keys on the drop box for Monday when they opened. It was so convenient, and I felt my car was safe. David and the the technicians were able to diagnose it immediately, and they moved stuff around to get the job done in one day. Every other shop gave me four days up to a month long wait!They answered all my questions, and their warranty for the repair and the part is covered anywhere in the US. That type of peace of mind, on top of the expedited repair, is absolutely worth the price. Highly recommend!

Was referred to four-star auto from a friend, and will now make them my mechanic in town. David is awesome. Super friendly and got me in quick. Gave me rides to home and work while my car was being repaired. Even brought my car to me after it was done. Shop is clean and professional. Prices were very fair. Would highly recommend!

. I picked these guys after reading some reviews and I m really glad I did. If you can get more miles out of something before replacing it- they will tell you. I think they are very honest. Also good with the communication and have gotten me in last minute a few times now. Def highly recommend.

This place should be called 5 Star Auto. I can t say enough how great this place is. Anytime I have had an issue with my car, Four Star Auto has been responsive and thorough to get my car back out on the road safe and sound.

After calling about 8 other services to try and get a flat tire fixed Four Star was the only one that would help. All others were completely booked and wouldn t even talk to me. Four Star was booked too but said they would do it to help me out I was stuck in town otherwise. Can t thank them enough for helping me out. Great service and very nice people.

They re super communicative and thorough with their work. I tried four different shops in town this summer and Four Star was the easiest to schedule a time to bring my truck in, fixed everything on my list, and let me know if other things that could use work, giving me the option to have them do the work or not. It had been a few years since I brought my truck to professionals for work, and a few years of driving over Rabbit Ears pass and a couple miles of ranch roads 5 day a week for a few winters in a row had really taken their toll. Solid work here, and definitely the place I ll take my truck to for future work.Services: Transmission, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

David was very accommodating and helpful. He ordered tires for me over the phone since I live in MA and he was ready when my sister arrived to have the tires replaced. He made sure to get the repairs done quickly and he was professional and knowledgeable. Four Star is amazing. They are friendly and professional. They gave me an in detail full diagnostic of my car with a priority list of what should be done first. This the only place in town that would look at my Toyota hybrid to give it a diagnosis before everything closed for the weekend. Glad they were able to accommodate and get us safely on the road back to Denver.

An exceptional place in Steamboat to have your auto service done, small or large job. I was referred to Four Star Auto by another service center in town as they specialize in foreign cars, mine being a BMW. Fast and high quality service at a fair price.

HONEST AND REPUTABLE CO.My son working in the area and had car trouble and went in for repairs. After being repaired he drove back to hotel and still having same issue. When he took it back in 4 star realized it had other major issues. The vehicle being a 2005 F150 it was not worth the repairs quoted. After speaking with Mr Austin, (Honest/respectable) he said he was going to reimburse my son the cost of initial repairs. Thank you again Austin. If you need to take your car anywhere in Steamboat/Routt County take it to Four Star auto. Everyone was super friendly and thorough! I had an exhaust leak repair done twice at a different shop before I took it to them that failed both times they were able to figure out the issue and get me back on the road within a couple days!I will absolutely be returning for all of my automotive needs, I have tried a few different shops before I found Four Star Auto and safe to say I have never been more happy with the amazing service and people!Service: Exhaust

All car repairs are a hit on the wallet, but Four Star did a fine job and did it well. Dave Medrano picked me up at my condo and took me to retrieve my car, then gave me a Veteran's 10% discount that I didn't know existed. Three year warranty on their repairs is standard too. We were in Steamboat for our annual fall getaway when our '01 4runner started to act up, 2 days before we were to leave. A few referrals led us to 4 Star, where David saw the urgency we were facing and shifted the schedule to fit us in for an inspection and, subsequently, the repair. Price was more than fair and we were not taken advantage of. Turnaround was super fast and the car was back to its normal self for the trip home. If I lived in the Boat, I'd be giving them my future business, for sure!Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine tuning

My alternator went out at about 3:30 pm. I had had it replaced at Four Star about a year prior so I called them and they said it was still under warranty and they had a technician available to look at it. They even offered to cover the towing.Less than two hours after I had broken down, I was on my way home with brand new alternator, and without spending a dime.Everyone was friendly and helpful and I can assure you that Four Star stands behind their work and honors their warranties.Service: Electrical repair
