I had the great pleasure to stay here for the 4th of July Festivities in Creede. The experience I had was first rate. Bill Philbern, his family and everyone affiliated with the Blue Creek Lodge were outstanding. One of the many highlights was meeting Pops and touring his John Wayne room. So cool. I was also able to sit with Bill s Mom and just chat about her wonderful family and the beautiful area they get to call home. Really just a superb stay. Good folks in God s country. Thank you for everything.

Fantastic campground. The setting is just gorgeous, the grounds are neat and tidy and the staff were great. Coffee and fried pies or sticky buns for breakfast, would highly recommend.

Blue Creek Lodge is one of my favorite places. Beautiful county as well as wonderful owners they make you feel so welcome. Our Cabin was just wonderful. I have so many great memories from my childhood..my grandparents had a cabin there and every summer we spent time at Blue Creek. Can't wait to go back.

Blue Creek Lodge was the perfect place for my hubby and I to get away. The owners are friendly, and the cabins were clean and had everything we needed. It felt like home! Loved being able to walk across the street to sit by the river in the mornings. Every private cabin has a cozy front porch for sitting and reading. There is a playground for kids and plenty of places to explore. If you stay in Hideaway the shower faucet is a bit tricky but works well. Such a peaceful setting! We did not want to leave and could have stayed longer! We will definitely be coming back.

A great place to stay. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Wonderful views abound and you are close to many hiking and hunting trails. All of the cabins are well maintained and cozy. You should take a look at the picture wall they have, tons of great stories. You should not miss talking with the owners, they have so much knowledge about the area. No stay can be completed in until you hear a story from Pop's. No cell reception and that's a good thing.

Really a unique setting in Southern Colorado in the mountains between Southfork and Creede. Rent five star cabins or an RV spot at the foot of mountains on two sides and next to the Rio Grand River on the other. Always spotless. The service is over the top! Owned by the Philberns who are real, professional inn keepers and wonderful people. My family has enjoyed this beautiful spot most summers and ski seasons for 35 years.

Great rv park. Nestled among the Mountains. Backed up to a creek. The owners are super friendly. The only requirement for campers, is to be prepared for no phone service at all. But, that's not always a bad thing.

Such an incredible location. The cabin was modern, comfortable, and very clean. Last month I was in the area visiting Creede, CO. and needed a last minute accommodation for one night. It's a family business and they are all so nice and I feel like Bill(?) went out of his way to make me feel at home.

I have stayed here several times. It is reasonably priced and the cabins are great. They even have wifi now. The place is well kept and simply beautiful. There are so many things to do and see in this beautiful area. It is right across the road from the Rio Grande river. There are two small towns that are minutes away if you decide you need something from the store or want to eat at a restaurant. The cabins are modern, yet rustic. Some of the units have full kitchens. There is a playground for the kids. It's so peaceful there. You had better bring a sweater though, even in the hot summer the evenings can be a bit chilly.

We love staying here. The cabins are very clean and homey, with well equipped kitchens. You are minutes from either South fork or Creede, and about 40 miles from Wolf Creek ski area. The owners are precious people and treat every guest like family. This is the best place in Colorado!!

Amazing food in the summer time. Southern style food and lots of different pie flavors. There are stories told on every dining wall through pictures and tidbits. The overall feel is very cozy and homey. They are situated across from the Rio Grande river that boasts beautiful scenery and great fishing. Blue Creek is also home to one of the cutest little gift shops I've ever seen!

Quiet and beautiful! 20 minutes tops from a market or store in both directions. Scenic trail and park for kids. Headwaters to the Rio grand run right across the street from the main lodge area. We have been several years now and every experience is good one!

We loved the place. Very convenient if you want to explore the Wheeler geologic area. Very friendly staff and Kathy (?) was a star by working our last minute reservation . I loved the decoration in the entrance

A beautiful family owned Cabin and RV park! We stayed in RV spot #2 which was fantastic. It backed up against Blue Creek which was running nicely. Although the restaurant was not operating, they had fresh pecan rolls and pies for sale. Also free firewood and only $35 for full RV hookup plus a small charge for electricity. No wi-fi at the campsite but the lodge is a short walk and has it. I believe the cabins do also. Only 15 minutes from Creede or South Fork.Right across the street from the Rio Grande. We'll be going back!

My family stayed here for about 12 years while I was growing up. I've been back a few times in the last few years and I love it. Affordable lodging prices and good food. Lots of outdoor activities to do in walking distance. The beauty and isolation is fantastic. Expect no cell service and only wifi in the lodge. It's a great place to get away and relax. I plan on bringing my kids here as much as I can.

We had hoped to stay in Creede but everything was full. We were told about Blue Creek Lodge and drove the 10 or so miles from Creede. We talked to Bill's mother about a room and she said she had a Lodge room or a Cabin. We opted for Cabin A. It was so cozy and clean. Tharisa also gave us some fresh ground coffee to take to the room for the morning. She was such a sweetheart. In the morning, we went into the office and there were a group of older guys talking hunting, etc. Right up my alley. Bill (Tharisa's son and owner) came over and got us some coffee and a couple of the freshly baked pastries. Another little old lady had made them the night before and we saw them come out of the oven. Fresh! What we were most impressed by was that Bill came over and talked with us for a good 15 minutes and made us feel very welcome and accepted . If we ever get to that part of Colorado again, we will certainly stay here.

Really clean and very nice cabin. Great location between South Fork and Creede. Unfortunately, they don't have the Cafe anymore. But very friendly owners.

Super friendly staff and a great location. Be ready for potentially tight spots for larger RVs. Quite a few long-timers there that are open, helpful and add great character to the experience. Chat 'em up!

This is a very come up very nice place with very nice and accommodative owners (very, very NICE OWNERS!). I would recommend it with one Caveat: it is VERY expensive; MORE than it should be. We stayed for ONLY 4 nights and the bill was nearly $700! Granted, this is not a hotel & the scenery - especially the drive along the creek to the town B4 Wolf Creek Ski Resort outside Pagoda Springs is beautiful. But things like, E.g., there is NO central air/heat (only one built-in wall heater that does NOT warm the 2 bedrooms the doors close). I could justify approx $400-$450 for JUST 4 nights but [nearly] $700??PS: The WiFi in the rooms in the cabins is excellent as the router is atop the refrigerator and the speed is quite decent! Fast enough to run streaming video without buffering which is nice! Especially if you bring something like a ROKU for a late evening movie! Granted, this is not a place to come and watch TV but by the time the Sun sets, you're not going to spend much time outside due to the temperatures so snuggling up with ur wife/girlfriend watching a good movie B4 bed!TO the Owner: a small, fair refund (ONLY $199?) WOULD ABSOLUTELY change the 3 stars to 5 stars, hands down. Otherwise, to ALL potential customers, be WARNED OF THE EXTREME PRICING: One single week would exceed $1000.00! B/t $1100.00-$1200.00!!! A mortgage payment for many or close 2 it! Again, that's for single week; one single week!

Great location, great cabins, nice people. Only issue is that too many RVs are crammed in and there isnt any sense of peace or privacy.

Great RV park. This s our 6th year and our 4th at Blue Creek. They have a lodge, cabins & RV Park. Best in the area in my opinion.
