The faucet on my sink kept falling off, there was no toilet paper holder and the hooks in the bathroom were broken. They didn t provide enough towels and the bed had no mattress pad and the sheets were ill-fitting, constantly exposing me to the mattress. The room was dark and had inadequate lighting. For what we paid, I would expect much better.

The rooms and furniture were falling apart and unclean. A consistent cold breeze was coming through the crack between the door and frame. When we first entered the room, bedding was stained and covered in hair. They don't use fitted bed sheets or mattress protectors which makes me very concerned about the cleanliness of the bedding. It's nice how close the hotel is to the shuttle to Aspen, that's about all the positive feedback I have.

The place was filthy... and not just the rooms. The halls and walkways were strewn with debris, including dangerous metal screws, soiled toothpicks, and other trash. This state continued for the 5 days I was there. The lobby bathroom had the toilets serviced but they did not clean the floors or even sweep them. The elevator had a serious beat-up look. One of the hot tubs was empty with its covering piled in the center. The other hottub was barely worn and pealing cement was chipping away. The laundry room had working machines but was equally filthy. The doors were rusted and trash and debris was again strewn all about. Rooms were minimally serviced, making the beds, and supplying new towels. So they had employees walking right over all this disregarded state of the common areas. The front desk didn't have continuous service and referred us to the neighboring hotel to get room keys after 7pm. Bottom line the place is still very expensive because it's a close walk to Snowmass and the associated village and busses. If you have any other choice in your budget, I would avoid this place because the owners clearly either can't afford maintenance or they take no pride in their service culture.

Worst check-in experience in 35 years of vacation and professional travel. Arrive to the sign that says something about being back in 10 minutes. Well I waited for 10, tried calling the hotel line. Nothing. Went to the bar and asked the bartender who grumped at me that there should be a sign. There was no sign... well there was, in some corner, not facing the front to call some other hotel to get service. The rooms are shabby, worn and old. 2 towels in the room when we have a reservation for 3.Oh, almost forgot, their luggage carts are about the worst I have ever seen. Unstable, 3 wheels. To get to the 2nd floor rooms you need to take 2 elevators...The chest of drawers to put in clothes looks like 8 inches tall, but in actuality the inside is like 3 inches tall .. little storage in a 1950's level hotel that is run down.I'll be here for 7 nights now... We will see what other nightmares arrive.

I m giving it a 3 just because I read all the 1-star reviews before booking and found it to be somewhat better than that. The $350+ price you pay during the winter is 99% for the location. Wildwood is convenient to everything self-park, shuttle stop, restaurants, rentals, and skiing.Pros: Bed was comfortable, coffee maker worked, room had plenty of power ports, wet ski gear dried quickly on pegs over the heating elements, and there was a humidifier in the closet.Cons: No matter what the thermostat was set to, it was still too hot. The tub wouldn t drain until maintenance fixed it, and then we noticed the spigot was dripping constantly - hopefully on purpose to prevent pipes freezing/bursting. We got a warning ticket for parking where the front desk guy told us to (maybe he forgot to give us a hangtag). One of the hot tubs was out-of-order, and the other one had chipping tile that I was wary of cutting my feet on.Safety: Accidentally left our door propped open all day and don t think anything was stolen

This place is a dump! We just arrived to our room at Wildwood for a $1000+ 3 night stay during X Games. After about 10 mins in the room I noticed multiple issues. Perhaps the missing storage room door and cast out art work that we passed on the way to our room should have prepared us for our experience!1) The window is broken and cannot close. It will not even stay in place once pushed closed.2) The hook on the door fell off when I went to hang up a jacket.3) The handle to the shower was literally sitting on the side of the tub and the screw sitting next to it.This is after waiting past check in to be able to access our room that should have been available by at least 4 PM. The best part is we thought we were lucky because the 3 groups in front of us checking in got turned away because their rooms were not ready. Also, there is some weird association with the Marriott property next door that used to be the Westin but is now called the Viewline. All of our customer service interactions were directed to their front desk staff. That is how we contacted them in order to find out about property details and eventually a maintenance member.STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!!!

The rooms repulsed me. They were dirty, the drywall was cracked, exposed wires, no cover on the heater. This hotel isn't staffed other than sheldon. The shower shrieks-if you stay you will see what I mean. The upstairs rooms were loud and people were yelling at 2:30 am. The best part of this stay was Sheldon. Sheldon is the bartender in the Wildwood bar, and he is the most chill dude you'll ever meet. He didn't make us pay to play pool. He even played card games with us! Honestly, Sheldon made up for the bad rooms, and he is my new friend. I hope the owner sees this so that he can get a raise. Sheldon deserves a massive raise!Rooms: Repulsing. Disgusting. Borderline awful.

This motel should have been condemned and demolished years ago, and that is clearly what the owner is waiting for.Exposed electrical wiring in the room, huge cracks in the bathtub letting water go who knows where, and old, stained, broken, and missing furniture make this place a safety hazard. There is no dedicated staff for this property at all, and that alone should tell you all you need to know. Everything has to be done through the neighboring Viewline hotel, which is owned by the same company, and is clearly their only priority. The staff acted sympathetic to our problems, and offered a partial refund, but made it obvious they had no intention of actually fixing any of the issues with the room.If this were anywhere other than the heart of Snowmass village, $50 a night would still feel like a ripoff. Just on location alone, they ask $200-400 a night. Do yourself a favor, spend a little more on a place that is actually maintained properly.

This place is awful! Avoid!!! From the moment you walk in, it smells like dog poop. There is literally no staff. You have to walk to the other hotel down the street to check-in. You get treated like a second class citizen and told to walk back to where you came from to check in. The room is gross. Paint is peeling. The manager, Miguel is rude and unprofessional. The place is loud and half of the lights don't work. There is actually trash from the previous guest. I am so disgusted! Also... Not my sock!!! Do not stay here! Save your money!!!Rooms: So gross! Dirty!!'

Let me start by saying I often stay at budget friendly hotels and understand properties are often outdated etc. This was something else. There was no one at the front desk at any time- we had to go to the sister property down the hall to get any help. We had bunk beds in the room and the top bunk had no sheets or comforter. There were numerous damaged items in the room (end table, heater, light fixture) and no screens on the windows. The bathroom smelled moldy. I attempted to contact the property by phone and email and never got a response. The walkways need serious repair and it feels like you could fall through at any point. We had to go nextdoor daily to get towels as the room was not cleaned during our 4 night stay. It felt like an abandoned hotel. The only plus is the location and that we had a balcony with a door we could open for air flow. The other rooms windows barely opened and I can t imagine how warm they got.

They did not inform me of a resort fee and then proceeded to charge my account $197 without my authorization after my stay. Completely unacceptable and unnecessary. I have been traveling for business for a long time and never has this happened. Return the money to my account now!

Sorry to say this place is a dump! I'm pretty understanding and high tolerance to non perfection but! Luckily we just booked 1 night, just came over from front range to do some hiking/exploring. Advertised as Resort! , when all they have is a pool, hot tubs in pool area and a pool table in lobby. Resort is a far stretch, they even have the gall to add a $30 resort fee. Anyway the place is dirty and old. We were there in August no A/C, front desk said we could open the door to the balcony there is no balcony, just the open walkway in front of the rooms with a window (no screen) next to the door, no way to get cross flow. Plus who is going to sleep with the door or window open to everyone? Not clean, old, no fridge, stained furniture etc. To much to list. Just don't do it, hope this helps someone not make our mistake.

My father and I spent 3 nights in this dump and to say we were not happy once we checked in is putting it extremely mildly. First the only elevator had steel diamond plate on all the walls, painted fire engine red. It felt like you were going to work in a factory instead of a staying at "3 star hotel" when we entered our room, decorated in late 60's decor, it was about 80 degrees. Being a mountain hotel I understand that air conditioning isn't used. There were no toiletries or towels in the room, and only a half roll of toilet paper. As we were going to the front desk to ask for these items, we just happened on a housekeeper and asked for them. She took a garbage bag, put ithe tems in the bag and handed it to us. When we came back from packing my brother's apartment (he is moving out of Colorado, the purpose of our trip) we went to our sauna room and realized we weren't given cups for water. I went down to the registration desk to ask for some and there was no one there. There was however, a sign stating that if we needed assistance, to contact another hotel. There was also no screen on the window that would be able to cool the room down and neither my father or I felt comfortable leaving a window wide open for anyone to saunter in. The next day we went to the hotel we were told to go to if wee needed assistance to ask about getting the room cleaned and for water glasses. They told us that they don't send housekeepers to rooms unless it is asked for. What? I thought this was a hotel. The housekeeping staff cleaned our room only on the day we asked for it. The next night, it hadn't been touched. I understand that it's nearing the off-season, but at least have a skeleton crew on to handle the needs of your guests. This place was terrible and we will never stay here again. I would recommend any potential guests do the same. 0 out 10 stars (if I could go lower I would)

Terrible place to stay! The room had not been cleaned well. There was trash on shelves and in closet including used food containers. The curtains and cushions were very stained. The walls have holes, the locks are chipped away at, the tub or sink doesn t have a plug, and the toilet paper roll just sits on the counter. They obviously hired people to paint and redo some things but the work was shoddy with paint drips on floor and carpet. All fixtures were dirty especially the bathroom faucets. No one at Front Desk. The exterior hallway has no lighting.

If you consider price and location as a factor then this property could deserved thr perfect ratings however rooms are very small, plus there many spots which were not cleaned, also size of the beds were relatively small. My suggestion would be if you can adjust without amenities like Air condition then you might consider to book this property as price is relatively cheaper to other places.Pros: Location, pricing. Good resturant/bar aroundCons: Not cleaned room, amenities, services

I got the worst sleep of my life here. I was in Aspen for an event and thought I would stay in the area to get a good night's sleep before heading back to Denver the next day. Wow - I wish i would have just made the drive back. No air conditioning. No way of opening up a window to get some fresh air in. The bathroom was dated and was located in the back of the hotel room. Florescent lights and weird red and white plastic walls. It felt a little like a horror movie. The decor was from the 1960's, along with all the furniture. Everything just felt dirty and old. The beds were not comfortable. Lumpy and low to the ground. When I finally was drifting to sleep around 2am, then someone next door merely opened their hotel room door...however this act shook the wall where my head was closest to and woke me up.Oh! And you have to go a different hotel next door to check in. There are no people working the front desk at the Wildwood. I was given a number to call for the other front desk and no one picked up. It felt like I was staying in a place that was abandoned except for the shaking of the wall. The only good thing was the water filling station on the first floor.I will never stay here again - so so bad. Please just tear this building down or renovate it. It feels like going back int he past...with all the inconveniences and stains. If I hadn't been reliant on a carpool, I would have just left at 3am when it was clear that I wasn't going to get any real sleep.

We arrived and there was no one at the counter, there was a sign directing to other place to check in, or call a number. Hubby called and someone came to check us in. I paid online and the counter person requested an extra $25 , ok, well, we paid. Room was basic, and I mean it. No microwave, a micro-refrigerator, the bed had only a sheet on top, no comforter, no blanket, only a sheet. You can t have micro refrigerator and coffee machine in the same outlet, you have to unplug the micro refrigerator or move the coffee maker to the sink counter. There were 2 towels only, 2 small towels, really. Corners in the room had lots of lint/dust, even at check out there was nobody there. I couldn t find a ice machine. The view from the balcony where the elevator is, was beautiful.

We arrived to an empty lobby with a sign saying to walk down the road to the next hotel to grab staff to check in, so already started with a less than ideal experience.Once we walked back, it took the gentleman about 20 min to get his computer working and get us our keys.Next, we get to our room and it is boiling hot, apparently the thermostat is broken and rubs constantly regardless of how it is set. Luckily we were able to turn the entire system off and open some windows, as naturally there was no A/C.Then we find leftover food in the fridge from the previous guests, and there is only a single k cup in the room for my wife and I to spilt. Not with the effort of teaching someone down as no one is answering the phone (presumably the staff went back to the other hotel by now). All in all, a really disappointing way to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary... Thank goodness we were able to enjoy what the area had to offer and avoid the room except to sleep.Rooms: Old and run down

Do not get near this hotel, I had a prepaid reservation, got there to learn they didn't have my reservation in their system, three hours of agony in their front desk so I decided to cancel my vacation and drive back home due to the lack of service and response from their team, months later they charged me for the room (again). I was able to enter a room, the quality is terrible, the bathroom door was broken, you can listen to everything happening on the other rooms, sticky floors, etc.Update March 2024: they offered two complementary nights to show me that they can treat visitors well, they can't. The person I was in contact with stopped answering emails when I asked for a reservation confirmation. It is very difficult to get ahold of people by phone too. The rooms are in terrible conditions and they don't have enough staff - sidenote staff is amazing!

This was easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed at on purpose. Complete disrepair. Was aware of some of the complaints when I made the reservation, so I booked what they call a "suite" thinking they must rake care of at least those rooms. Boy, was I wrong. The first room we were in was supposed to sleep 4, but there was only a queen (supposed to be a king) and 2 couches, not pull outs, just couches and there were no pillows or linens for them. The room we were moved to was falling apart, but at least it was actually meant to sleep 4. There's never anyone working the front desk - you need to walk to the lobby of the neighboring Viewline resort (which is spectacular). The hotels are owned by the same people, but it's clear which one they actually care about. After maybe 5 million in renovations, I might consider staying there again...if it were free.

Unless you're destitute and have no other options, don't stay here. There are much, much better options for just a little more expense. This is fraud to say this is a 3 star hotel. The lobby is not staffed and is closed with the lights off, there is plywood covering section after section in the walkways, the carpet is filthy, repairs are needed, the rooms are not cleaned, coffee cups had not been washed, on and on. This is akin to an abandoned Motel 8 that needs to be dozed to the ground.

There were no dead bodies in the room. That s the best thing I can say about this dump. And even that s stretching it, because there was a dead moth on the table next to the door. The lobby was unclean and for the most part, unattended (you had to call the neighboring hotel to check in), the elevator was dirty, the hallways were dirty, the room very dirty. The trim around the shower had handles was broken. The sink basin was stained. The toilet seat was child-sized. There was no air conditioning. The room smelled. I suppose if all you cared about was a soft bed steps from Snowmass Mall, go for it. Otherwise, stay away from this place. There are other, better options.Rooms: Gross

Stayed three nights in August. Great spot for the adventure traveler. Amazing location---just steps from bars, restaurants and the ski mountain. I even had wonderful down-valley views. If you just need a bed to sleep in and you are out and about most the day, this is your spot. Lucky to still have an affordable hotel in Snowmass that is practically slope side.Nearby activities: Steps from hiking trails, biking trails and ski trails in the WinterFood & drinks: Steps from restaurants, retail and bars

3-stars. Location is obviously excellent, beautiful mountain views and very close to Aspen. You re not going to find much at a lower price. While the price is still a decent chunk of change, you have to realize you re in Aspen and if you re looking for luxury will you have to pay for it and stay somewhere else. Luckily I read reviews before my stay so I was more prepared than most people seem to be. Brought my own blankets, pillows, soap (some of the toiletries looked previously used, i.e., the products that came in bottle form), towels (they only had 2 hand towels in the room anyway), toilet paper (there was only 1/2 roll provided for us), and cleaning wipes. It s obvious that it is an old building and yes there are a lot of cosmetic things that need replaced and remodeled. Honestly we got lucky as the check-in and check-out were easy and quick. The room smelled fine but they really need to up their cleaning game. The carpet was obviously not vacuumed/clean which is probably my biggest complaint. The furniture was stained, the walls and light fixtures were very dirty. Obviously some of the stains and scuffs are due to high traffic during ski season, but is also due to poor housekeeping. TV worked fine, bed was decent but not great. There is no A/C but we were prepared for that, and honestly you re in Aspen, you don t really need it. We just opened the window at night. While we didn t use the pool or workout areas, they looked fine. Our room did have a mini fridge and coffee area with 2 mugs (did not use either) but no microwave. Parking was easy and elevator worked fine. Check-out is supposed to be 11am but housekeeping knocked on our door at 9:30am which was irritating because we were still in the room. If you are one of those classic bougie Aspen snobs, don t stay here. But, if you are just looking for a place to sleep and will be enjoying your time during the day elsewhere and are on a budget, it s an okay place.

The location is all this hotel has going for it. I came to visit my wife who was staying in the hotel for her work. The pool never had clean towels to use. The walls in the bathroom and by the sink were left dirty from before she got there. She had already been there for a week, house cleaning came twice and never once cleaned the shower. What type of hotel doesn t have air conditioning or at least screens on the windows? It s like a motel 6 but not updated. Lots of room for storage in the room, but no hangers for her to hang her clothes. Definitely one of the dirtiest, outdated hotels I have stayed in.

Don t stay here. Seriously. It was very dirty, lots of stains in the bench cushions. No air ventilation besides a cracked window, but if you leave it open, good luck sleeping, you ll hear barking dogs, cars driving, and neighbors on your floor all night. I ve come here in the past and didn t remember it like this. Really let the place go. Oh, and you ll never fail to nail you shin on the bottom point of the bed frame. Would ve rather slept in my car.
