Came out to a flat tire on a Sunday. I was able to drive it to this tire shop from my home. I left it there but forgot to leave a note with keys. I got to the shop at 8:52 a.m. on Monday morning and they had already fixed the tire for a very good deal of $35. They did not try to sell me tires I did not yet need. But I can guarantee this is where I will be going to buy tires. Absolutely made my day.

Great service. Not everyone wants to work on a 1948 Willys, but these guys did a tremendous job of putting on my new tires. Highly recommend.

ABOVE AND BEYOND WITH QUICK SERVICE. Chaffee tire cares about your safety on the road. They hooked up my Subaru Impreza with a set of studded snow tires that kill it in the snow. I had to drive to Aztec, NM for my sons last dirt bike race of the season. The day before the race I got a flat tire and the weather was calling for a lot of snow for our drive back to Colorado. My tires were not in good shape. These guys stayed late on a Friday night to make sure my car had a set of new tires for our trip. If you are debating using ChaffeeTire, don t hesitate another second bc these guys are the best in the biz. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I LOVE MY NEW HERCULES STUDDED SNOW TIRES. YOU GUYS RULE!

I put a rock thru my side wall while hunting, they got me in same day, did not try to swindle me into buying things I didn't need, we're friendly and finished earlier than expected. Great group!!

Chaffee Tire has put numerous set of tire on our many vehicles and repaired some ranch tires, 4 wheeler tires, you name it. Always top notch customer service and takes care on my many requests and questions to ensure right tire for my application.

On a trip to Salida we had a flat left tire. we couldn't find anyone to help us but Justin at Salida Tire and Wheel said it would take about an hour and he'd fix it it was wonderful because we were able to walk from the shop just down to the park and then when we got back it was all ready to go for a reasonable price I would highly recommend it Johnny Hollywood says go to them...fine people

Justin is great! So honest and helpful. Stuck with a bad tire on a rental and Hertz offered no help-Justin repaired the tire rather than replacing it at our expense. He says he has advised other customers to keep their tires when they thought they needed to replace tires.

Very pleased with my experience here and I would highly recommend. The staff are extremely friendly. I came here to get a tire repaired and they did a great job with getting it done quickly and for a very reasonable price.

I was driving through Salida on a long long vacation and I found a bolt in my tire. The tire shops in were backed up 2 or 3 hours , very busy!! but the wonderful gentleman (Justin) at this shop went above and beyond to get me back on the road in 30 minutes !! He was very kind and I highly recommend this shop!!!

Had just left Salida on business heading back home last week. Got caught in a bad downpour thru the canyons and drove my rental car over a bunch of loose rock on the road. Blew out a tire and was trying to change it in the mud and gravel with the car s poor excuse of the emergency tire jack. A truck pulled up and a guy jumped out (in the pouring rain) and asked if I needed help. Sarcastically I showed him the joke of a tire jack I was using and he pulled out a professional 3 ton floor jack. The car was up, tire off, temp wheel on, and ready to go in 2 minutes. I asked him if he always carried around the floor jack and he said he worked at Chaffee Tire in Salida. Asked if I could pay him for his services and he declined. Thinking back, that was one of the kindest, considerate events that s happened to me in a while. Thank you, Mr. Anonymous, that was a very neighborly thing to do in a world that isn t so neighborly any longer. For the rest of you folks out there if that s the kind of service you get from one of the team members at Chaffee Tire OUTSIDE of work just think of what you ll get when you actually buy something from them!

These guys are super friendly and helpful. I take my dirt bike wheel and tire to them and they get me back on the road.I also have all my vehicle's taken care of. Good stuff

Took my vehicle to Justin to this shop in hopes of getting a nail removed from my tire. I specifically asked if they could remove the nail from the tire and patch it up until I could replace the tire. Justin replied that he could do it. When I asked how much they charge he said $30. But when I asked a few questions, he got an attitude with me. Not only that but he did not take the nail out of the tire. He charged me $30 to get my tires filled with air and I ended up having to air up my tires every two days and ended up taking my vehicle to big o tire when I had time to do so. But they did it FREE OF CHARGE and did EXACTLY what I requested.I decided not to request a refund because I figured that Justin would have given me an attitude and an egotistical response.After bad experiences with myself and other family members, we have decided not to conduct business with them anymore. When I come into a tire shop, I expect to have an attitude free experience. Not to mention, a positive attitude from the shop OWNER. Maybe an ego and attitude check would be ideal?Terrible customer service...

Chaffee Tire and Wheel did an outstanding job. We arrived at Salida KOA in our 34 Class A RV and realized we had excessive wear in both our drive tires that I felt it was unsafe to continue. I called them and Justin listened to our situation and told me he d have the unusual size tires at 1100 tomorrow!! The tires arrived about 1300 the next day. They made room for our rig in front of the store and had me on the road 45 minutes later. Can t praise them enough for keeping us on schedule. Sure wish more trades ran their business like Chaffee Tires with folks like Justin. Outstanding!!

I was traveling through Salida with my 8 year old daughter. I got a stable in my tire. I called them after having a horrible experience at another tire shop in Salida. Just for them to tell me. Sorry we're going to lunch you will have to wait an hour and half for us to get back from lunch. That is bad customer service. Thankfully my husband owns a tire shop back home so I knew what needed to be done. Went to the closes part store bought a tire plug kit pulled the stable and plugged my own tire. For a mountain town with many travelers you would think they would want are service. Guess not.

We stopped by Chaffee when we discovered our lug nut was missing and loose. Justin was amazing with helping us out and tightening out tires at no cost! Best service center in Salida!

Overall extremely dissatisfied with their service, Chaffee Tire lost 12 customers today. No one in my immediate family/friends will be returning for business again.I normally try to support local businesses, but I was extremely disappointed with the quality of work and price of the service I received from Chaffee Tire. The only positive to the service was that they got me in quickly on the same day I called.First off, the staff, namely Justin the Owner, was extremely rude to me and my friend when we came in inquiring about doing business.I worked at a discount tire for two years, and we charged $80 to dismount, mount, and balance a set of wheels, not to mention were required to be polite and helpful to even the nastiest of customers. I know that this is not a corporation, but I was not expecting it to be this expensive. I was quoted $25 a tire on the phone to get my 5 wheels dismounted, remounted, and balanced. So I was expecting to pay about $125 total, give or take some expenses. Apon arrival the price changed to almost $250. The owner, Justin, explained that the reason why the price was doubled was because I wasnt their customer (his words) as I brought in my own tires. This especially angered me, as I had called Chaffee Tire on four separate occasions in the past weeks to ask them if the could order in the tires I wanted. Two times they couldn t Identify the very common tire I wanted to order, and the other two times I was told it would be a five month wait. So naturally, I found some used as I did not have that time to wait. I agreed to the high price, as I needed them mounted that day, dropped off my wheels and awaited their call.After an hour or so, soon before they closed, I drove by and saw my wheels waiting out front, which they never called to notify me that they were ready, and I stopped in to pick them up. Apon arrival we immediately noticed that two tires were mounted on the wrong wheels, which I specifically marked with tape and spoke to the tech and manager about what Id like done. On top of that, no valve stems were replaced, and the wheels had not had their old weights removed which would have been a nightmare on the road if I hadn t noticed.When asked about the valve stem and weights, Justin responded with we hadn t discussed that, and its not in our policy . Every tire shop I have ever been to/worked at does those two things free of charge.

They were super helpful and friendly! I had a slow leak in my tire and they got me right in. It took them a while but that s because I had THREE nails in my tire and they patched all of them for me! Very reasonable price and super good service. I will totally go back to them again!

110% recommended this place to anyone. I drove from Vail to meet someone with my tires. These men fit us in. Told us they could do two and they did all 4. Took us an extra minute to find an atm but they waited for us. Thank you all so much. If I ever need help with my jeep and I m in salida. This is where I ll go!Edit- I m driving home and my jeep feels great.Quality service. Amazing price

My wife and I were traveling through Colorado and discovered we had a flat tire when we stopped in Salida. Justin took great care of us, got our tire fixed, and got us back on the road. We even got a nice hike in while Justin fixed the tire. Price was competitive and fair. Very happy with my experience. If you are in Salida, go to Chaffee Tire and Wheel, ask for Justin and know you are in good hands.

My experience with Chaffee tire was very good. I took my parents Tahoe there for some new tires. Very professional and courteous staff. They treated everyone that came in very well even while busy. The service was fast and thorough and I left feeling good about the purchase. Thanks.

We experienced a sidewall damaged tire near Gunnison and this is the only shop that came through with a tire in an emergency. Dustin is the best. Shop here if you can. Great service, communication and follow through.

Had an issue with a tire while passing through the area. After trying a local big chain tire store which refused to help me and treated me poorly, I was lucky to find these guys. Chaffee Tire and Wheel treated me like I was a long time customer, they were extremely friendly, and didn't try to rip me off over a minor issue. If you're in the area and need tires or help with any issues, I wouldn't trust anyone else. Thank you guys so much!

I was stuck in Salida with a flat and they changed my tires for cheaper than anyone in town and it only took them an hour! When my car was totaled, I needed them to fax a receipt to the insurance company months later and they were so understanding and fast. Ask for Alan, he's the sweetest.

I had to get my tires rebalanced I had these people do it for me. As soon as I left the shop the problem still occurred got home all the way to South Fork took it to my mechanic he looked at it said that My tires need to be re-balance I told him I just had it done and Salida. He said he don t look good I m gonna have to redo it he redid it in my truck runs fine. Thanks for wasting my time Chafee tires!!!

I highly recommend Chaffee Tire. We were on vacation and got a flat tire. We changed the tire but needed to purchase a new one. I called Chaffee tire and they told me to come right down so we can get on with our vacation. We got there 30 minutes before they closed and we were able to get a new tire for a very reasonable price and be on our way in 25 minutes despite appearing that they were very busy. The staff were very friendly and professional.
