We came down from Denver to Pueblo for the weekend and someone vandalized my drivers side mirror breaking it off of my Honda CRV and the mirror and wire were just dangling. The winds were so bad today that I couldn t just drive home with a mirror hanging/dangling outside of my window, and I couldn t bring the mirror inside the car as the window wouldn t go up. I went to the first Brakes Plus location, but the technician there Nate wasn t quite able to help me despite trying his best. Ugh do we cut the wire??? Nate called manager Tom at the BRAND NEW BRAKES PLUS and they said to come right over, and wow! The manager, Tom and another employee Brian were so helpful. They got me in right away, and the technicians were able to pop the door panel off on the inside of the driver s door to pull the mirror plug out so I could drive. All the guys were so empathetic and helpful!! Brand new facility, super clean, super friendly employees and they got me back on the road in no time. So grateful to Tom and Brian and all the guys at that Brakes Plus! THANK YOU! Highly recommend!

Tom and his team are top notch. I got a fair quote for the work needed and my repairs were done promptly and correctly. Tom communicated several times on the status of the work and anything additional that was found. This is a 32 year old car so I did expect this. He even called to say that bearings that appeared to need replacing initially didn t have to be after all. They had just been installed incorrectly by prior mechanic. This saved me hundreds of dollars! I would not hesitate to use this location for any repairs needed in the future! Thanks Tom and Team for quality customer service and work!

I came in for an alignment and it turned out my inner tie rods were very bad and unsafe they were able to get me in replace my inner tie rods to my alignment and my oil change and got me in and out fast and now my truck drives amazing. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and did not pressure me into anything that I did not need. During the test drive they found that the steering wheel was not straight so they put it back on the alignment rack to make sure my steering wheel was straight as an arrow so I left happy

Tom (MGR) and Lawrence ( Service Advisor) are amazing people that look after your car and your pocket at the same time. I have been taking all of my vehicles to Tom for the past 5 years and I trust no one other for my repairs. Tom has always been very honest with repairs and better than most shops on his prices . He and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and he has the best tech in Pueblo (Gordon). If you need your car looked at or fixed trust me Tom and Lawrence are the ones to take it to.

I was told over the phone one price and when I went to pick up my car my total was almost doubled what I was told on the phone, but Tony was super helpful and understanding. He helped me and got my total down to only being $20 more than what I was told. I was super satisfied with the service and highly recommend stopping in for any brake or tire services.

Went in for a scheduled oil change. I arrived about 20 minutes early and asked if they would be able to get me in earlier, I was told yes. After waiting for over an hour and 20 minutes they still hadn t take my car back. At this point it was 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. When I asked how much longer I was informed that the person who was supposed to work on my car was still finishing a job! I didn t realize they were taking cars back based on appointment time and who was available next to work on a car! I finally just asked for my keys and left! I was finally given good service at a different brakes plus in town! This one is closer to home and I will never go here again. I will also add I called yesterday and spoke to the manager about the incident but I think other people deserve to know about this experience as well when deciding where to take there cars. I didn t feel comfortable taking my car to them after this.

The new Brakes Plus shop on Northern is awesome. I have been taking my vehicles there since they opened and had nothing but good results. Tom and Lawrence genuinely care for you as a customer and take great lengths to explain to you the maintenance your vehicle needs. I could not be more pleased with the service they provide; and I won't take my vehicles any where else.

I had a wonderful experience at the Brakes Plus. Edwin was fast and efficient and made suggestions about problems I didn t know existed. They fixed my truck quickly and we re super friendly. This is now my go to car mechanic. Thank you much!!**UPDATE Feb 24, 2024**So, I brought my truck in today to have the oil changed. I mentioned to Tony that my turn signal needed replaced and I also mentioned that my truck had been leaking oil for years but nobody could seem to find the problem. Tony said they would look at it. He called and let me know they had discovered the problem and they fixed it. I waited to post a review to see if my truck still leaked and this morning, there is not a drop of oil on the driveway. The repairs were reasonably priced and they actually fixed my turn signal for no charge at all!! This is my second great experience and I will gladly drive my vehicle from Denver to be serviced by these guys. Highly recommended!!!

Tom & the crew were great! They were quick, professional & informative. I m sure I asked stupid questions, but Tom didn t make me feel that way & answered them. I ll definitely return in the future & I will recommend them to everyone I know! Thanks Tom!

The staff was very polite and thorough. Explained the work that needed to be done while they showed where on the vehicle. Answered any questions I had. Very pleasant experience. Tom, the manager and Laurence the service advisor were so helpful.

I don t recall the gentlemen s name however I had one of the best automotive repair experiences in my entire life!!!And we all know car repairs are not cheap and auto shops can sometimes be rude and disrespectful.In the end I would recommend using the northern and prarrie brakes plus to get oil changes and brakes done over any other location in PuebloThe staff are in the business of good business and are deserving of at least one visitAs a business owner I support this specific location and highly recommend you give them a shotWe never regret making good choices and brakes plus on northern is the best choiceAgain I thank you and your staff for how you took care of us

Yesterday, I brought my vehicle to this location to get an alignment. After an inspection, I was informed that I had a bad outer tie rod. The level of courtesy and professionalism at this location is off the charts. I sincerely appreciate the guys at this store. Today, after replacing the damaged part, I brought my car back in to finish getting the alignment on my vehicle. I honestly can t say enough about how I was taken care of at this Brakes Plus location. I recommend bringing your vehicle here if you need an alignment or any other service that they provide. These guys are TOP NOTCH!

Wonderfull technicians that take care of you with respect and in a timely manner.Was strung out for an oil change and the other shops were booked. Tom and Edwin had me in and out within 20 minutes while the other bays were working too. Excellent team would highly recommend.

Had some front-end suspension work done on my Buick. I was shocked at how quick the mechanic got it done. The whole experience was great. Front staff took time to listen, and I think the guy who did the work was named Mike? Great guy. Made me feel included by showing me what was wrong! Would recommend 10/10.

Edwin was great! Friendly and understanding. Nobody likes having to go in and pay unplanned maintenence but they were faster than quoted and helped the best he could.

My brakes gave out, and I was lucky enough to have that happen when I was on Kingsroyal Blvd. on a Sunday night when there was little traffic, near their business. My emergency brake didn't work when my brakes gave out, so I had to put it into park suddenly. It made a horrible sound, but I had no choice! I didn't want to go through the Kingsroyal & Northern intersection and hit either another car or the wooden stakes & trees on the north end of Roncalli. I had A-to-Z Towing (who was there in 20 min) tow my car around the block to work on it. I recommend them as well. Anyway, the Brakes Plus personnel at this location did a great job! No more light on my dashboard, and the brakes work better than ever. I'm taking my Toyota back in for more work in January and touch up on some things.

On 10/25/23 brought my car in for brake inspection. Told rear pads, rotor and calipers needed to be replaced. Was informed by manager that his best guy was on the job. Upon retrieving my car and returning home I noticed pressure in pedal was not right and my emergency brake was going much higher than when I took it in. I also checked my brake fluid and it was half-way full and they supposedly did a brake flush.Contacted manager and informed of issues and scheduled to bring car back. Upon taking car back the following week, I was told that they did bleed the brakes and the pedal was better but the emergency brake was still a little high and that they would need to remove the center console to adjust it which I needed to schedule another day because they couldn't complete in time for me to start work. I did schedule for them to adjust emergency brake however was unable to make the appt. When I called to let them know I couldnt make appt and asked how much time was needed I was informed that's not something they do everyday and they would probably need a couple of hours. I was confused by this because brakes are supposed to be their specialty. I decided that I did not want them to touch my car again. Ultimately, I was still having issues with my brake pedal and emergency brake. I took my car to someone who knows what they're doing. The brakes were not bled properly and they still had air in the lines. Once the brakes had all the air removed my emergency brake returned to normal. Clearly, the staff at this location do not know what they're doing. With air in the lines I could have had a failure of my brakes resulting in a hazard to my safety and anyone else on the streets. I would also like to note that there was another customer who returned their car the same day I did because they too were having issues with work performed on their vehicle. Somehow this customer was convinced to leave a positive review and they did.

Tom was fantastic, i was in and out and they got my oil change taken care of as a walk in, definitely recommend!
