Avoid this place!! They take advantage of single mothers. They didn t even help me it was a friend, goes to show they don t care about their customers. RUN!!

I brought my truck to this shop for a transmission rebuild under warranty. They had my truck for 2 weeks and assured me all the necessary work was done to make my transmission safe and reliable. One month later I am stranded in Utah with a truck that won't shift into a single gear. Not a good feeling when driving down the interstate hours from home. I called to explain the terrible situation I was in and they hung up the phone midway through the call. They have zero record of the warranty information or work that was done to the truck. Took my car here about a week ago the owner was very friendly and professional. It costed less then anyone in town. The work was done quickly and my car is running great now. I would recommend this shop. Thank you guys for your service during this trying time! You are appreciated.

Was quoted 1100 more then Ive found by a reputable builder online. I was quoted $2,600.00 just to build. Way to take care of your locals. I found a rebuilt online for $1,450. 00I can pay another 300 for the core and keep my old one to rebuild somewhere probably anywhere but here. Not now or ever will or want to be bent over like you were apparently going to do me if I woulda been a little dumber. I was pretty dumb to call you you in the first place. Oh and I found a new upgraded transmission for $4,000. Which will out run my life time. Shop around ppl.

Good price compared to all of the transmission repair shops in Colorado Springs. I had a full R&R along with a full rebuild and warranty for under $2300.00. On a front wheel drive sedan where to remove the transmission us very labor extensive. Jim was very upfront with me and told me 7- 10days. He was spot on. Up here in Colorado Springs I was quoted $2800.00 if I removed it from the vehicle, and almost 5k for them to remove the transmission and rebuild it. By far worth it.THANK YOU JIM KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Called in the middle of the day on Thursday and was told they wouldn't even touch it or look at it till Friday. Then on Friday I took it in the middle of the day he said it could be done by the end of the day and I never got a call. The car sat in the same spot untouched from the day it was dropped off all the way until Tuesday morning when I picked it up. The gentleman that was supposed to be helping me admitted he never even took the car apart. Jim I believe he is the owner told me he could tell what was wrong with the transmission just by turning the engine on. After 4 days of sitting in the parking lot ,20 plus business hours, nothing was ever done or looked at. A 2,200 $ dollar quote was given.

Jim is a true artist. Our Jeep Wrangler has never performed this we'll. He did everything everything everything he said and more. He allowed 4 days to rebuild the transmission and had it done in 3. Thank you, thank you for the excelent job. A true professional. My hat is off to you and your team.

I never met an honest mechanic until my experience at Better Rate. Jim, a veteran himself, was more than accommodating when my vehicle broke down on my way to report to Fort Carson on a Saturday morning (when every other shop in town was closed!). They were also getting ready to close at their normal Saturday noon closing time, but Jim agreed to keep his shop open until my roadside assistance finally arrived. Everyone in the shop was extremely friendly, and they kept an open line of communication, explaining the repair process every step of the way while the vehicle was kept at the shop over the weekend. Although it's about a 35-mile drive south to their shop in Pueblo, Better Rate will certainly be my first resort if I ever encounter transmission problems again during my assignment here at Fort Carson.

Took my car to these rip offs. Transmission went out completely and took it in the first week of Jan 2019. They took the estimated 3 days to get it back to me and the condition of my car seemed okay at first but it didn't make it two whole days before it was slipping again. I paid for a rebuild of $2,300 cash. I am thinking that it was never touched in the first place because ever since then it has gotten progressively worse!!! I have been stuck in parking spaces because the reverse goes out. They keep telling me they will make it right and just to bring it back to them on a Monday. I have lost count after the 7th!!!! time that I have returned to get this corrected. The car is always parked in the same spot when I drive by and when i call for an update they say "its getting put on the lift next". They have lied from the beginning. This has been the worst service I have ever experienced!!!!! If i could give a negative rating I absolutely would!!! Do not just these dumbasses!

Customer beware do not trust this shop at any cost they will lie, manipulate, and take your money they do not provide any customer serviceBrought my truck in for transfer case and transmission rebuild...Front U joints on drive shaft snapped due to transfer case binding up I removed front drive shaft to drive down to this terrible shop now that I have learned..I left the drive shaft in the truck when I came back and repairs were supposed to be complete I took their word for it because the truck drove come Winter time I try to engage the 4 wheel drive I have nothing I take to an actual professional customer oriented shop they tell me 4 wheel drive does not work because there is no front drive shaft....Like come on seriously how do you forget to put in the front drive shaft?... Owner tries to tell me that I'd never brought in the drive shaft This was the 2nd vehicle I took to them neither vehicle did they actually take care of correctly quickly and always demanded payment even when final product was not 100%...

Took it in on a Monday, had to get transmission rebuilt. They called me on Wednesday saying it was ready which was a surprise because they initially told me it would take a week. Picked it up on Thursday drove it one day and knew that something wasn't right. Obvious slipping in second gear and various other issues with shifting. Took it back to them the next day(Friday) they tested it and wanted to replace valve body, they said they would give me a call in 2 days ( no problem). Didnt receive a call but swung by the place on Monday. Car was parked outside where I had left it and I assumed it was done. Went to go get keys and the guy tells me they still have to replace valve body. I'm like ok, when will it be done. They say they are gonna put it on the lift next. Swing by again on wendsday car is parked outside this time in a different place went inside told me the same thing, they were gonna put it on the rack next and I told them I needed it by Friday. Friday comes around ITS STILL PARKED OUTSIDE AND NOT FINISHED. I tell the guy I need it today and he says the best he can do is Saturday at noon. I come back 3 times again that day to see if they had moved it and it was still parked outside.This is one of the most unorganized repair shop I have seen. A handful of employees working on dozens of cars with no organizational process. They had the car for almost 2 weeks and I gave them an obvious deadline which they did not meet. Not only did they not fix my car properly but they are taking forever to do it. Honestly these people are a waste of time and money...

They did a great job on the transmission. There was just a little snag in communication at first. Once that was resolved they were quick, efficient and friendly for a reasonable price. Thanks guys!

The guys there were very friendly they did excellent work I am so happy with the work that they did I love my car it's like I'm driving a brand new car I needed a new transmission and they didn't have any issues with the mileage they told me to bring it right in and they would fix it for me I would highly recommend them and I will definitely be going to them for any other problems I might have with my vehicles thank you guys so much and I appreciate what you've done you have no idea how much you've made my life so much easierService: Transmission repair

Terrible!!!!!! Don't take your car here , Dishonest Jim does not care about customers he cares about getting money from you. He will intentionally damage your vehicle in hopes that you will come back to him. He is a very shady character. He is dishonest. He is a liar . He will call you a liar. I'm glad I took pictures of his mechanic working on my car as he claims this mechanic never came.Jim, if this never happened and the mechanic never came out to my house to work on the plate that you left hanging off, they why do I have pictures of him working on that car???Jim... I took pictures of him working on my car that day!!!!!You say that never happened right???Took my car here for a transmission job and oil change. They called me and told me my car is ready after driving my car for a few days I heard a loud crash while driving down the road on uneven pavement I pulled over and realized that I had failed to put oil pan cover back on my car properly and my oil pan hanging off my car that caused major damage to my car. I call Jim the next morning and told him what happened. He refused to tow my car in and told me to crawl underneath there and screw the bolts on myself.Finally after I begged him to him help me. Jim sent a man to meet me close to my house. The mechanic told me if I had any leaking all to come in because this could cause some serious damage to my old pan. Well it started leaking a little first then more and more. So I did like they said I went back to Jim. When I arrived at a Better Rate and explained to Jim , he said it would cost $525$. I reminded him of what had happened. Jim said that no one ever came to my house. Then he said it would have had to happen if the oil cover pan was hanging off and I hit something very hard.I said Jim that's what happen when you left the oil cover hanging off my car it hit the ground and caused the damage to my vehicle. He said no absolutely not, that didn't not happen. Even the mechanic who came out said "Yes remember Jim" Jim walked off telling me to leave the property unless I wanted to pay him $525 to fix it. He also said no one ever came to my house however I do have a picture of his mechanic working on my that day.I am going to have to go to court with my evidence.Jim only wants your money.He will intentionally leave parts off your car to cause more damage...The warranty is just a piece of paper.He doesn't back his work.He will tell you to leave and call he cops on you just to get out of repairing his mistakes.DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. You will thank me later, God bless I hope this helps ...I wish someone had told me !!!!!!!

Horrible experience. Terrible customer service. Had my car towed in, was at the shop for 15 hours and was never even looked at. Called and asked for my engine size, and when I picked it up to have it worked on somewhere else my hood wouldn t close. Worst experience in my life. Would not EVER recommend anyone goes there.

Been over a year since I had my Toyota Corolla transmission rebuilt and automatic transmission working good. Despite earlier conflict I had with Better Rate Jim, the owner made good faith effort to resolve my frustrations.

Had trans issues and I rebuilt the trans myself with the help of these gentlemen and my trans works perfectly I had them make shure I had everything on point and when I put it together I had a slight problem of my doing so I took it to the to diagnose and they have me an honest answer and I did what they said it was and boom perfectly works like new I know the old man is a little difficult to work with but it got the job done
