I have done business with this family owned business for many years. I have never had a problem with their business or there products until today. I purchased a chainsaw from this family owned business they put the fluids in it for me and also said that this chainsaw would cut through pine wood with no issue. Once I got home the problems I ran into is it having problems starting and staying started and it not cutting through the pine wood. When i took it back into the store the service tech said that the fluids they put in were running "too rich". The service tech said they did a "5 minute tune up" on it. I brought the chainsaw back home and yet again having problems starting the chainsaw and cutting the pine would. I returned to the store approximately 20 minutes after bringing the chainsaw home. I explained what was going on and the service tech took my chainsaw to the back and cut a 2x4 with it and stated "It's cutting, I don't see anything wrong with it". I then told him that I am cutting pine wood with it and I also told them that I was told by the sales customer that sold it to me that it was more then capable of cutting pine. They asked me to bring a piece of the wood I was cutting with it to the store. That's when I had enough! The one year warranty won't cover the product because the service tech says nothing is wrong with it (so what is a warranty for?). I am a disabled veteran trying to make a living off a small disability check and all I asked is for my money back (I understand they won't give it back because a 7 day not satisfied return and I was past that) or a different chainsaw (which they absolutely refused to offer due to the opinion of a service tech). This business couldn't even do that for me so now I'm out $200 plus dollars and without a chainsaw to cut fire wood to stay warm. I am disappointed in the customer service and the fact that I am loyal customer. I have spent a lot of money here but I guess after this not anymore.If you watch the videos it clearly shows the issues of not starting up, smoking, and not cutting the wood. I have left another picture of the chainsaw BURNING the wood.

This is a truly excellent trailer repair shop. I've taken a variety of trailers (utility, stock, horse living quarter) to them over the years and they just don't miss on customer service or the quality of work. They are super fair on pricing. Whoever is troubleshooting their wiring/electrical work is top notch. Thanks Bailey and team!

I can't say enough about Bailey and the customer service I received. There was an issue with some axles and Bailey went above and beyond to get the issues resolved. She communicates honestly and directly, kept me posted throughout the process. Bailey is extremely knowledgeable and gives rationale for how/why things are done. In a time when work ethic and follow through are almost non existent, Bailey and the entire crew are far above the norm. I would highly recommend them for any trailer needs.

Beyond words....Truly! It's way too long a detail story but, I listed a short version below and I can honestly say I'd have lost my marbles if not for these great folks.1st I had a warranty axle issue and they handled it, no problem.2nd 2 days after that was fixed a driver (on cell phone) ran a stop sign. Axle number 2 had to be replaced.....Poof! True Value to the rescue (again).3rd, yes folks, there's a third...Not even 2 weeks after the last repair. Yep, another driver on a cell phone hits my PARKED rig from behind.( yes, these events really did happen! All within 4 months).Again, True Value was there for me and worked with the local bodyshop to put the pieces back together. (Including my marbles).Fortunately the trailer was NOT carrying any animals during the incidents.My deepest sincere thanks to the whole crew at Penrose.

A good experience. Came in for trailer wheel hub and tire. They showed me that electric brakes had failed. They have parts in stock so repairs can be made right away. Got me turned around quickly and for a fair price. Thanks Bailey!

This place is run by a bunch of great people, good attitudes and they not only always answer my questions but they are all easy to approach for assistance. Tons of supplies for campers and trailers of all kinds. Also tons of tractors, trailers and accessories for them all, best of all, if they sold it to you they'll maintain it or repair it for you.I've been a customer here for nearly 6 years and I've never had a bad experience.It's my neighborhood True Value and you're welcome to shop there too

My husband bought a Honda self-propelled lawnmower in June and has used it less than eight hours and then it stopped working. He took it back to True Value, assuming it was still under warranty. The young man in the small engine repair shop did an excellent job diagnosing the problem and had it repaired. within 15 minutes we were charged $23 plus change. Warranty??? Apparently True Value does not stand behind what they sell.Five stare rating to the young mechanic

Super friendly, efficient, competent and fair prices! Installed my trailer hitch in less than an hour. Uber friendly staff, from the young man who checked me in, to the cheerful lady who made me coffee, to the ever professional Bailey who helped me figure out the height of the rise I need to safely hitch my trailer to the car. Highly recommend!

Don t take your equipment here to be worked on. No communication, and horrible service. Left my tractor there in November to be worked on and when I was told it was ready to be picked up (in February) not everything was fixed like I had asked. Waste of time and money and still not everything was fixed correctly. Idk if these people are not qualified or just plain dumb but choose somewhere else to save yourself a headache.

Nice staff. Very helpful. Prices are very good compared to other stores selling same stuff. I had to buy a new trailer while on vacation from Ohio. I checked around with everyone in the region. I ended up picking up a utility trailer for hundreds less than all the other places in a 4 hour radius. Good quality also. Brad made the process painless.

For a chain retailer, I was very dissatisfied with the level of competence, or lack thereof, in their supply chain management. I ordered a single tire and was told that it would be in in 3 days. That was two weeks ago. When I visited the store today, I was told that a shipment from their supplier would be coming in tomorrow but my tire would still not be on it. I was then asked by the clerk of I wanted to drive to Denver, 3 hours away, and get the tire myself. Of course I declined that option. If I wanted to drive that far for a tire, I wouldn't have wasted my time with them. There is definitely a broken link in their supply chain. I will probably go in tomorrow, cancel the order, and ask for a refund.

I have bought a tractor from them and had my tractor in for the 50 hour service, along with a zero turn I bought at another business. Everyone I have interacted with is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It's getting harder and harder to find good service but these folks still do it right. Thank you!

Do not use this business for any type of service on your trailers. We had our bearings serviced and packed only to have all 4 burn up at the same time. Coincidence I think not the only coincidence is they were all done there. Called and spoke to the service manager and was forwarded to the owner. They took no responsibility even after having two Independant shops tell us they were packed incorrectly. They informed us about their 30 day warranty but this was on a horse trailer which only had two short trips, about 50 miles each before this happened. Their lack of responsibility and poor customer service is next to none. Think twice before using them!

I had to order a replacement water heater for my RV, which I did online. After installation, I discovered that the "controller" part wasn't working properly. Contacted manufacturer support, and they sent me to this store. I was a bit surprised at this, and expected to get a hard time about it when I went in, since I didn't actually buy the water-heater here.Boy was I wrong! These kind folks bent over backwards to try and help me out. Turned out we had no choice but to wait a few days for something-or-other to arrive from the manufacturer, so the manager did some research and insisted I borrow a different but compatible controller that they DID have on hand, just so I could have some hot water while waiting! They weren't going to make a single cent from any of this, and still, they treated me exceptionally well.Perhaps they just wanted the stinky guy to take a shower, or perhaps knew this would make me a super loyal-customer; both are exactly what happened.

Fixed the wiring on my trucks trailer plug and turn signals. They are also working to fix my bale bed and possibly install a ranch hand if it ever gets delivered by the shipping company. Good service and good work. I still have a trailer wiring warning light, but that is something to do with my TBC (which Josh took time to show me the wires and what not showing its something up the chain a ways)Hoping to get it back in there and get the list cylinder for the bed back in and that ranch hand on Tuesday if all goes well!Definitely will be coming back for future work.

I bought a kioti rx7320 a year ago If you want to know what excellent customer service is stop and see bailey, Brian and josh in service. They go the extra mile for you. We always leave satisfied with True value trailers. They take pride in customer service. Thanks to Jeanne and all your staff.

12/19/20 - I visited this business today, Sat., at approximately 2:45pm. Before entering the front door I read the different posted announcements, one of which was MASKs were required inside. I entered and two employees were at the cashier station not wearing masks. On the way out I asked the young bearded man sitting at the cashier counter why they had a sign up that says to wear masks when they weren't wearing any. He didn't answer my question, but with a disrespectful tone asked, "Would you like us to wear masks?" I left without responding. I would like to know why the manager puts a sign on the door, but does not require his/her employees to follow the directive? I went to the True Value store in Canon which had actively working employees, all wearing masks, like the sign on their door stated. I won't be going back to the Penrose store. I don't like wearing a mask either, but I respect the health of others and I wear one. Apparently this store does not respect their customers enough to manage the behavior of their employees.

I originally gave them a 1 star rating for poor communication but they owned up to their mistakes and have been nothing shy of great customer service, customer support, and ordering or fixing anything that I need for my Kioti tractor I purchased. I would highly recommend them for all you tractor needs.

So I am writing a review! Thought I would share it with you! I had brought my chainsaw to true value up by the airport in Fremont County.. It has been there for 1 full month! I called every week to see how it was going! 2 weeks in a row they had an excuse why it wasn't done! 3rd week I call and asked he said my Stihl chain saw had this problem! I said thats funny you never asked my name and I don't own a Stihl! He then said they sent the wrong part for my chainsaw. Then 4th week I talked to a guy named Chris. He seemed to be on top of it! He said my new part, fyi not the same part as the first part they said it was. He said it was shipped to Salida!! He said let me see what he can do he will call me back the next day!! Guess what NO call so I called!! Talked to Chris and he said he has to wait for the part. I said I am coming to get it! He said I would if I was you! So I did! In my personal opinion they never even touched it other than just looking at it! So I said I wanted a oil change and new spark plugs as well as try to fix why it was broke. It was still set up the way I brought it in!! In my personal opinion I wouldn't take anything to them unless you don't need your tools for the season!!

We bought a used travel trailer and took it here to have it inspected. I am still shaking my head at how absolutely incredible the service was. Not only did they do a thorough inspection, then added a WDH, sway bars, 2nd propane tank, 2nd battery, 4 new stabilizers....they gave us a training session as it's our first camper. We will take it back for anything and everything. Oh, and they did it in the original time estimate even with everything we had added. Excellent customer service. If I could give them 10 stars...I would!!! Thank you Chris & Steve!!!

Is it possible to give a 6 star rating...? These guys are flat out amazing. I bought a Kioti CK3510SE tractor in June of 2018 from Chris (great guy and straight shooter). I ended up having a catastrophic engine failure on the tractor that was completely user error (tractor was loaned out to a buddy) in September of 2019. I brought the tractor in to see what could be done. Kody at the service desk worked his rear off trying to help me in any way he could to get it covered under warranty. When he exhausted all of our options with the warranty and tech departments at Kioti, we ended up having to replace the engine out of pocket (which is what I expected). Kody quoted me a fair price for the work to be completed and coordinated shipping (on a literal ship) the new engine from South Korea as there wasn't a replacement engine in North America. Engine arrived (finally) and Brian, the tech, went to work on my tractor. He worked late, came in on his days off, and did a bang up job taking care of my tractor. Now that the tractor is finished, Kody calls me and said they were able to do the work for 15% less than what he originally quoted. What dealer does that?!?. I live about an hour and half away from their shop, so they offered to deliver the tractor to me for free. These guys are flat out awesome! If you need a tractor, trailer, anything with a small engine, service, repairs... anything, call them. They're honest and have done right by the customer (me) in every dealing I've had with them. Thanks guys!

I shopped around trying to buy a ck3510se and seems nobody is interested in selling or making a deal.. i spoke to Chris and made a great deal on a new ck3510se with a few attachments... had to drive about an hour from my house but the kioti dealer 15 mins away customer service is HORRIBLE!!... well worth the drive and would definitely buy again when the time comes!

They did a fantastic job fixing my travel trailer. I had multiple issues and they got them all fixed. I had a leaking secret valve and they fixed it once but I still had issues so they fixed it again and didn't charge me for it. Very nice and helpful.

Found a part here that we needed on a previous visit but couldn't find anywhere else. Had also made a deal to trade in a trailer. Went back to complete the trade and they totally changed the deal by $700. Won't go back there now.Actually, your response was not true!! My husband told the young lady up front that the trailer had a bent axel!! She quoted him once price if we traded it as is and another amount if we fixed it. Then someone else stepped in when we went to make the deal and changed it!! Now you've basically said that I lied in my review when I did not!!

We researched many different tractors and had really set ourselves to purchase a different brand. We stopped in and talked with Mike at True Value in Penrose. After talking with him for a short time we purchased our CK2510. In the end it came down to trust and confidence that they understood exactly what we were looking for and the patience throughout the sales process to deliver the tractor and implements that we really needed. Mike is incredibly knowledgable of not only the product but translates that into getting us on the right tractor and letting us actually us it before the purchase. Both my wife and I were absolutely comfortable using not only the tractor and loader but the implements before we drove it away. Bill, Jeanne and Mike follow up to make certain we are still thrilled which is not something common today. We would definetly purchase another Kioti and there is not doubt we would purchase it from True Value of Penrose team.
