Really great place! Scott and Laurie were great hosts and we felt very welcome. We stayed in the bus with a view and it didn t disappoint. Great that you can visit the goats, reserve time in the hot tub, and buy some firewood for one of the fire pits. Also a very nice outdoor kitchen area. Paonia was a cool little town with a lot to do. Highly recommend staying at Sage View Ranch.

We so much enjoyed our stay at Sage View Ranch! We came for a Dances of Universal Peace camp event and felt so at home and accepted at this place. Laurie and Scott created a beautiful oasis here! The camp has a lot of lodging variability from camping through different glamping options all the way to a very comfortable stay in a lovely house so all visitors can choose what fits them the best.WE loved using the outdoor shower it was the best shower with a stunning view ever! And the feeling of being surrounded by nature all the time ahhhhh .Laurie and Scott, thank you for your kindness and warm hearts and for caring for this special place with love. Looking forward to coming back next time we are in the US!Aylani & Frantisek form the Czech Republic

We LOVED our stay here! The Magic Bus was a perfect space for my husband and daughter and I. The little details made the stay very enjoyable. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Laurie and Scott were delightful hosts and let us go on a walk with them and the goats. We really enjoyed visiting with them and the other guests. We will definitely come back and stay again next time we are in the area!

What a gorgeous location! I stayed at one of their tent sites and the view was absolutely stunning. They have many overnight options like camping, and a beautiful refurbished bus, and even a house for those who aren't interested in camping at all. It's an incredible destination for weddings and events too! They also have goats and chickens for the agriculturally inclined or interested. The hosts, Scott and Laurie are also so kind and friendly and really make you feel welcome and appreciated.

Sage View Ranch is absolutely beautiful! My sister and I stayed in The Bus with a View and it did not disappoint. The views were spectacular and the stars at night left us speechless. I loved being so close to nature. My favorite part was definitely the outdoor shower. I wish I had one at home! Laurie and Scott were amazing hosts! Scott greeted us as we pulled in and directed us to our stay. He also recommended hikes for us in the area! I highly recommend staying here if you have the chance!

It was such a wonderful experience staying at Sage View Ranch! The hosts, Laurie and Scot, are incredibly kind and welcoming. Our stay was made even better by their hospitality. The Gypsy cabin, where we stayed, was perfect and cozy for our short trip. The outhouses on the property are some of the cleanest I have seen. The property also boasts a beautiful view, which can be enjoyed from the cabin or its surroundings. And I can't forget about the goats! This is a wonderful place to stay if you're looking for something unique and welcoming. It won't be the last time we visit!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed at the camp site known as 'Thyme'. The view from this site was beautiful. The stars at night were amazing. The weather in early September was amazing at night. Great camping weather. There are communal gas stove and fireplace facilities. Hosts are very kind and helpful. Shower in the sun room is worth the extra 3 bucks if you'd like to use that instead of the outdoor shower. We purchased eggs from the hens, and firewood. We took a walk with the goats too.Nearby activities: Black canyon at Gunnison national Park is nearby. As is the great mesa and multiple farm stalls and places to pick fruit.

We had an amazing experience staying here overnight. We are planning to come back for longer and really spend some time on the ranch. We stayed in the cottage and it was absolutely perfect! The goats were a serotonin boost we really needed and we re looking forward to. The privacy, quaintness, serenity and peaceful grounds were something we didn t realize we needed. The bonus is that it s 420 friendly and the hosts are just super chill, very caring about their animals and land and knowledgeable about their surroundings and history of the property. We had an A+ experience and strongly recommend it!

Such a special place that I ll hold dearly forever. My girlfriend and I celebrated our one year at the sage view ranch and drove a little over 1,000 miles just to be there. The views along the way as well as when you get there are just amazing. We enjoyed making a fire, making s mores and lounging under the stars in the hot tub. Scott and Laurie are exceptionally sweet and are living their dreams to the fullest. The townsfolk of Paonia are also all lovely and I felt extremely welcomed. As far as activities I would suggest, we went to big Bs orchard and tried all sorts of ciders brewed locally, there s the winery right next door to the ranch as well that makes a lovely rose merlot!(we had to bring a bottle home) and spent our last day at the gunnison national park, the black canyon doing the 7 hour hike. Which we would recommend you get an earlier start than we did. Then for our final day we met the goat-dogs which are just the sweetest goats I ve ever come across. And talula the Turkey fit just right in with the chicken coop. Needless to say I m already planning my next adventure to Paonia and look forward to lounging under the stars in the hot tub some more!

Laurie and Scott provided the most welcome and wonderful environment for my friends wedding this past weekend! The house was comfortable and great for a large group. Our son got sick and they bent over backwards to help us. The property is fabulous, and so family friendly! We got to see the goats get milked and my kids will remember that forever. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

I stayed here with my children for a long weekend and the place really exceeded my expectations as far as the overall experience. My children loved being able to interact with the goats each day as well as meet and play with other children as they explored the property. Scott and Laurie are amazing hosts and you can tell they really enjoy sharing what they've built there.

Sage View Ranch, we love you! I hosted a girls weekend in the Vista View house to celebrate my bachelorette party and we couldn't have asked for a better space and place. Laurie and Scott were incredibly kind and the house was spectacular. Our favorite parts were yoga on the deck and meeting the baby goats. The wineries are in close distance and town is a quick few minutes drive away. We'll definitely be back!

Attended a beautiful wedding here and the owners (Lori & Scott) are the nicest people on the planet! Scenery was stunning and they did all sorts of classy little touches for a wedding to make it feel warm and intimate. Our young son had a BALL meeting their chickens and goats, and it's a nice spacious area where kids can play during the reception as opposed to the kids being stuck bored out of their skulls during traditional indoor wedding receptions. As the owners mention on their website, the campsite spots are a bit atypical (eating/grilling/firepit is a short walk away from the spots where you'd pitch your tent), and the owners are in the process of further clearing the campsites and adding drive-up access, so that is awesome. The other guests who stayed at the main house, busses, or cottage were very pleased with the accommodations. The owners were very accommodating and warm during our stay. Highly recommend!

I Loved staying in the cottage and having access to the property with stunning views. You won t find a kinder host than Laurie who goes out of her way to ensure you have what you need to feel comfortable. The location is walking distance to two wineries and a 5 minute drive to everywhere else. Highly recommend staying here!

Laurie and Scott were amazing hosts! The check in process was so easy. We got there later in the evening and Laurie still made a point to come say hi and answer any questions we had. The directions for check in are perfect and so detailed. It made it so easy! We loved all the animals and very much enjoyed walking with and petting the goats as well as Magic the Dog. She is the star of the show! the property is so whimsical and like a little fairyland. I love how everything is repurposed. Very eco conscious! We will definitely be back. The only downfall is how far out this place is from up where we are in northern Colorado, but other than that, we LOVED every second and wish we had had time to stay longer. Next time for sure! Nearby activities: There is rafting, hiking, etc nearby. Lots of wineries as well!Food & drinks: The town of Paonia is right down the road and has food and drinks! Also Qutori winery next door.

My son was married 2 days ago to the woman of his dreams at Sageview Ranch. The views are breathtaking, exceeded only by the bride in her wedding dress. The owners, Lori and Scott were impeccable hosts. They treated us like royalty. The decorations were unique and highly creative. The accommodations were excellent. Deer roamed the property including a 4 point and a 6 point buck always at a discreet distance. There is an exercise area on-site. Most importantly, the site had a spiritual quality to it that is hard to put into words. It was hard to leave. I couldn't recommend it more highly. God willing, I will return.

Hi we're Brian and Emily the Bride and Groom who recently (Aug 2023) got married at Sage View Ranch. We've been trying to come up with the right words to explain how incredibly magical this venue and the hosts are/were. I (Emily) stumbled upon this venue via a Google search, and just fell in love, the idea of having an entire weekend (instead of an incredibly rushed 8-10hr venue rental) was a no brainer for us. When we reached out to Laurie and Scott as clueless wedding planners with a full-time jobs trying to plan a wedding in 4 months, their calming, caring demeanor made us certain this was the place for us. We were hooked before seeing it in person (though I did tour it prior to booking). This venue has a Spirit, we feel like if it's for you, you'll know, if you're on the fence, we can assure you; we (who aren't necessarily ones for perfection) had a weekend we'll never forget that was beyond our expectations and wildest dreams. Laurie & Scott became our best friends via text message/phone/video chat - she and Scott constantly fielding our many questions. They not only hosted us but worked alongside us all weekend (and months prior) every step of the way. If we can give anyone some solid advice it would be this...your wedding is a whirlwind we barely remember all of it because we were pulled in every direction. But we had Friday night with our entire wedding party and select friends and family, we did a little pre-party while we got things set up, all day Saturday before the event (we had it at 6 o'clock), and Sunday. The memories and experiences we had at our own private retreat will likely be unmatched for the rest of our lives. We cannot recommend this venue enough!!! We plan to go back here for years to come. Everyone had an incredible experience! Paonia is a small town, but they have some incredible places and businesses for you and your guests to visit. We HIGHLY recommend Dew Lily for your florist and to take everyone down to Big B"s orchard for amazing drinks/food and swings that you'll never forget!! Also, Laurie and Scott went above and beyond running around doing incredible things like making a big sign welcoming us and our guests from the road, decorating their side-by-side to cart around the wedding party during the photoshoot...so many more things!!!

Sage view ranch is an amazing place! My cousin got married here and we were able to stay and play. The kids had a great time exploring and visiting. Laurie and Scott do a fantastic job of making sure that everything is just right for everyone. Such wonderful people and atmosphere. The views are so incredible and the whole property is just heaven on earth.

I had so much fun at Sage View! I ve been camping for years, and this is the best campsite I ve ever stayed at. Hosts are super friendly, sites are BEAUTIFUL, everything is clean, and the grounds are lush and well kept. We spent a whole hour in the morning hanging out with and learning about the chickens and goats. I would recommend camping here to anyone.

We had the absolute best stay at the Sage View Ranch. and we will go back again! I truly don't need to sat much more... but I will. Our host Russ is such a hospitable gentleman, and was there to greet us and available. the Ranch has cool goats and chickens (fresh eggs) and a truly remarkable view. great value, cool vibe, we even had a large fire pit to safely burn a lil bonfire. we enjoyed the location a mile from downtown Paeonia.Nearby activities: Short drive to town, and Big B's Orchards
