Traveling through Pagosa Springs I was returning to my vehicle after buying groceries at city market to find all my coolant on the ground under the engine. No cell service so I walked over to Ken's performance and he took me back to my vehicle, diagnosed the problem (bad water pump) and got my vehicle back to his shop. He had the parts ordered immediately and repaired in two hours. (It would have been done faster but we had to let the engine cool a bit) Shane who works at Ken's did a fantastic job and I had him change the oil also.(no easy task on a Cummins 6.7 fitted in an 09 Ford F350.) I can't say enough about how friendly, helpful, professional and quick the service was. To top it off the charges were extremely reasonable and downright surprising considering it was an unscheduled repair. Ken is a great guy and runs an impressive shop. Clean shop, knowledgable mechanics, and great customer service...and an awesome shop dog too! Highly recommend him for service and repairs on your diesel trucks. Thanks Ken and Shane for the excellent experience and repair.

Arrived in Pagosa for a family vacation and we re having issues with our SUV overheating. I called Ken s Performance Center and discussed the problem I was having with Ken the owner. He told me to bring it in and he would take a look at it. I took my SUV to his shop, he assured me he would take care of it, not to be worried and go and enjoy our ski trip. He repaired our SUV the same day I dropped it off and did so at a very reasonable price. He saved our vacation and we are very grateful that he performed the service so quickly. Ken is a very nice person and I highly recommend his shop. Thanks again Ken!

We had a screw in our front tire and needed it fixed asap. We called Ken after 5 pm and he had no problem getting us in and patching the tire even though they were already closed. Plus, we were greeted by the friendly shop dog. A great experience and excellent service!Service: TiresService: Tires

The people at this shop are so very nice, knowledge, helpful, and professional. We went here when a camper van we rented that had a broken axle. We had limped it in. We went there without an appointment and they still went above and beyond to help us. They called around for the part and even called the company direct. Due to the part being on backorder for over a month they could not fix it but they were beyond helpful to get us on our way. SO very nice!! Thank you!!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

I spoke to them on Wednesday, they told me to bring my truck up there on Friday morning. So I did, no one was there. I left a key under the floor mat and left a voicemail. Heard nothing from him all day Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Monday morning I called him and he said he would get to my truck next. I Went by his shop after 2pm and my truck was parked exactly where I had parked it on Friday. Ken's No performance gets one star. I'm guessing having out of state plates on the truck was the real problem. If you're not local, don't waste your time.

Stopped at Ken s with a rock in the tire on the beginning of a long drive home. He fixed it on the spot, charged the most reasonable amount I ve ever heard of, and was nice to gently recommend I buy new tires asap. Wish this place was closer to home, because I d only ever go here again.

I dont usually write reviews. Today I wanted to share that I live in Phoenix AZ and the Wife and son are in Pagosa vacationing without their normal mechanic (me). The 2008 Prius was having Hybrid Master code errors after climbing the pass. With bluetooth OBD2 I was able to get the wife to give me the code. I immediately knew the Inverter water pump was the issue. Found one for her at OReilly's but needed somebody to help replace it. Ken's team were initially reluctant because not familiar with Hybrids. I totally understand that, and actually appreciate that feedback. After showing the team videos on how to replace the wife convinced team to help.Ken's shop was really close to the place my wife is staying.They replaced the part and charged us a normal rate for time spent.I am really please of the work and support this shop did for my wife away from home. You always hear stories of tourist getting taken advantage off. You can trust this place. You are in good trusty hands.Thank you.Service: Auto maintenance

Called for a shudder that has been affecting the truck for along time and they got me in the next day. 1 driveshaft u-joint and alignment later and I had the truck that evening no shudder and drives great. Ken and Juan were great. I rolled into Pagosa from Illinois and had a leaking coolant reservoir and rear tires were down to the cords on my bmw 550i . Went to Ken's and they were able to replace the tires and reservoir and got us back in the road to go home. Highly recommend their shop! We re from Northeast Oklahoma, here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Just had our vehicle give us fits. My husband knew how to fix it but in our tools we didn t have the right size socket needed. We are staying right next to Ken s and the guys so graciously let my husband borrow the tool no questions asked and didn t want anything in return. You don t get that treatment everywhere. Sure helped our trip continue on and restored our faith in humanity!

Stopped by with a couple of flats will on vacay. Ken's fixed them right up then and there. Great, friendly service. Definitely the place to go in the area!

Ken is AMAZING! I lost the transmission in my 2007 Jeep JK, 700 miles from home, and was sure I was going to have to do a complete replacement. I was able to limp it into Pagosa Springs with only second gear. Ken s shop was recommended to me by a local and he lived up to every bit of the praise.Although the parts had to be brought in from out of town, the shop had them there the next morning. Ken went through every inch of the wiring between the ECM and the transmission until he found where a connector had come loose. The time he was willing to take and the attention to detail he gave my Jeep gave me the confidence to continue with our off-road expedition. My family and I will be forever grateful to these guys.I can assure you of this, I was at his mercy but Ken is not out to see how much money he can get from you. He is committed to making sure your vehicle is fixed and fixed right.

If you get stranded in the Pagosa area, Ken is the man to call.I recently had a dead truck due to battery issues. I called Ken, late in the afternoon, jumped the truck, and within 45 minutes, the problem was solved, and I was on the way.

First off, the work they do is great. The prices are on point as well. Juan is one incredible mechanic and is absolutely awesome. If he ever opens a shop he will for sure have all my business! This was something that was out of his control and i know this. However, i was robbed. So were other vehicles too apparently. My 4Runner was left unlocked as people have said the owner is bad aboit not locking up vehicles and when i went to check on it Monday, the glove box, center console and back were rummaged thru. Nothing seemed to be missing until today, Wednesday, when i was picking it up i was told it may have been broken into. Other vehicles were broken into but i was never told anything of it when i came in on Monday and spoke to the owner about where the 4Runner was at as far as repairs went. Around $600 total in gear was stolen from my vehicle that was left unlocked. Probably wont be reimbursed either. Surveillance cameras of other business's captured a stolen vehicle but nothing incriminating or useful. I would highly recommend anyone who is planning on using this servuce to check each and every niggt that their vehicle is locked, safe and hasnt been broken into. The quality of work is there, theyre good at their jobs for sure. However, consumers should be warned that their vehicles might be left unlocked and get broken into.

I needed some work done on my 2015 Jeep JKU. Ken was polite, prompt, and professional. He did a great job at half the price Pagosa Tire quoted me for the work. he came in $30 under his estimate. On top of that, he helped me sell my old wheels and tires that I took off the Jeep when I swapped suspension. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience and will use Ken for all my auto repair needs moving forward.

My story is long. But traveling with a terminally ill husband, our support dog, lots of luggage and medical equipment, etc. My truck decides not to start at the motel next door from them. I went over and talked to them and in a few minutes they were at the truck. It was a little more labor intensive than originally anticipated, and it was an old diesel. THEY GOT ME STARTED! they talked to me a little about the truck and gave me info I did not have, and CHARGED ME NOTHING for their efforts. MAY GOD BLESS YOU BOTH, Ken and the nice gentleman, whose name I did not get.

I broke down on a Sunday and he had me back on the road by noon on Monday. Minimal price markup on needed part. Extremely honest by not taking advantage of an out-of-towner.
