I m a semi driver who up until last night has avoided snow driving. Just started with a new company and the chains were a big heap of a mess. I had only done chains in training 3 years ago in daylight and no snow. Last night was dark, cold and 2-3 inches of snow on the ground.My apologies as I forgot the owners name that came out, but he was awesome. He didn t make me feel dumb for not being good at chaining. I had the passenger side chains set-up correctly, then he showed me how to do the chains for the duels and a great way to bungee them tighter.My chains stayed on for almost 60 miles until I got to a rest, stop and got some sleep and then took them off in the morning.It was about 1am. His professionalism and willingness to help went a long way I will forever reach out to his company if I m in the area in need of help.Thanks so much, I feel way more confident now too.

I needed to be rescued from the top of Wolf Creek Pass when I had transmission problems. To keep a long story short Buckskin Towing and Repair provided me with excellent towing service for both my tow vehicle and travel trailer but also made the repairs to my Jeep in a very professional and cost effective manner. They served us in many and thoughtful ways as we dealt with our crisis, which included a very lengthy wait for parts from the manufacturer.. Overpriced, unclear, and indecisive. New ownership has a long way to go.To Reply: Well, of course I won't use my real name. Me and my wife still have to survive in the same area as ya'll and aren't willing to risk reputation on whatever slanderous accusations fellas like yourself might pull right out of your back pockets. I have heard a mess of nonsense from others who get tired of being pushed around when they just need a simple favor from ya'll. Now you got yourself a business, Sir. But you and some of those people that answer your phones ain't the friendly locals in town and I would rather take our business elsewhere now. Honest folks DO exist in this town people! Seems like you just have to dig through the dirt to find em.

Had an appointment for an oil change/tire rotation scheduled for 9 AM, brought vehicle in at 8:30. Called by 1 and they hadn't even touched my vehicle and told me it would be done around 4 PM.I told them I'd rather come and get the vehicle right then and there and they said another one of their techs had just come in and was ready to go. The staff I dealt with was rude, no apologies, no offer to reschedule. Complete waste of time. Definitely won't take my car there again. No oil change and tire rotation should take 7 hours.

I ve lived in Pagosa for 7 years and have gone through many a mechanic. These guys are honest, transparent and they care about the customer. I had a minor dispute with them and I was taken care of in order to keep my business in the future they ve got it.

Blowout on 160-US, Driving our RV from Pagosa Springs to Creed Colorado on a Sunday. High altitude, high winds, falling rocks, traffic & 45 foot RV. Donald was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. He did a great job...He even waited for us to come down the mountain to make sure all was good. Wow thank you so much

Sure getting your vehicle towed sucks but having genuinely nice people to deal with at the tow yard is amazing! The owner is kind, understanding and extremely outgoing! Absolutely best towing company in the area and best customer service! These guys rock!

While driving to Pagosa springs ram truck displayed message to drain water from fuel separator. Shop knew exactly what to do and preformed service while I waited and for a very reasonable price. GREAT PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH.

Scammers. Call them to take me out of the snow. They charged me $750 just to show up. Didn t even touch my truck Stay away. Call this company on the picture. Way cheaper and nice people.

They could be the only tow place in town or within 100 miles and I wouldn't use them. Their customer service is horrible, with staff unwilling to help. We were made to wait hours to be told that we couldn't be helped, and on top of it, in order to even get our vehicle, we were told they would help, then after we paid, they said it would be another fee to get the help they promised before we paid. The employees were rude and completely unwilling to provide any level of customer service.Service: Special vehicle towing

We were locked out of our vehicle on a late Sunday evening, the owner of Buckskin showed up within 15 minutes of our call and got us in our vehicle rapidly and with ease. We had waited hours on AAA and called several other locksmith and towing companies who either never returned our calls or denied us service due to being a cold, late, Sunday evening before discovering Buckskin. I cannot speak highly enough of this company, their owner, and their exceptional customer service.Service: Car lockouts

Unfortunately we had to use Buckskin Towing while we were vacationing on our very last day in town. We found ourselves in very scary situation, slid off the road as we were leaving out early this morning. They responded very quickly and the tow truck driver was AMAZING. He took his time and knew just how to maneuver the winch(es) to keep from damaging our vehicle any further which meant it ended up being good enough to drive all the way home! 12 hours to Collinsville, Ok to be exact! Thank you Buckskin Towing!! You made a bad experience into a good one! Five stars all the way!!!Service: Car towing

We locked our keys in the car "somewhere on the mountain " with spotty service at best. We were able to get a hold of Tyson and he did his best to help us find where we were and stayed in contact with us while we waited. Jake, our tow driver was fast, efficient & friendly. Really a lifesaver!

I cannot say enough about Buckskin Towing. We broke down with our 5th wheel toy hauler near the summit of Wolf Creek Pass on a Saturday evening. Craig responded to our call with the tow truck, Jake showed up with a King Ranch to haul the Toy Hauler. Craig was so calm and caring that it made the situation better immediately! We knew we were in good hands.The attention to detail and planning before they unhitched the camper was amazing. Once unhitched, Craig loaded the truck onto the tow truck and Jake hooked to the camper.All hotels and RV spots were taken in Pagosa Springs, so Tyler and his brother allowed us to stay at the tow lot until they could find the part for the truck. They even let us plug into their electricity!Monday they found the part, had it sent in and Jake fixed the truck, we were on our way. Tyson offered to take us to the top of Wolf Creek just to make sure we made it!Then, OVER AND ABOVE, he called that evening to make sure we didn't have any more trouble! Amazing!!!I could go on and on about this company and these 3 gentlemen. They were totally amazing. I would recommend this Buckskin to anyone needing a vehicle repair or tow services. I made it 5 hours into the mountains en route to a hot springs resort before someone stuck their head out the window as we are going down an icy hairpin pass in blizzard conditions to shout that my wheel is about to fall off.My mechanic in Denver didn't tighten down four out of five lug nuts on one of my wheels, which sheared the studs right off.Apparently I stopped at the last place with cell reception for miles. The driver was *stunned* I was able to look them up and call.Between said mechanic in Denver and the shop here in Pagosa, they put their heads together and I was able to make my way back down the hill safely.Tremendous gratitude for Buckskin Towing & Repair, LLC I honestly don t know what I would have done without their help. My friend and I were coming from Pueblo and ran over a large rock on Wolf Creek pass and got a flat tire. We put the spare on and got into Pagosa Springs. We went to Buckskin Towing to be sure there wasn t any other damage to the car. They immediately put my car on the lift and checked it out! Thankfully there was no further damage. They were so kind and didn t even charge me! Very grateful to everyone at Buckskin Towing!

My experience with Tyson and Buckskin Towing was nothing but positive! He arrived in a timely manner, charged me as quoted, and even gave me some suggestions to help me from further damaging my cars cooling system and engine block. I think the price was very reasonable and was even able to submit a claim to insurance with my receipt for a full refund. I recommend this company for any job of this nature in SW Colorado. We came into contact with Cody, Carl & Tyson when our Class A RV blew a radiator part just after exiting the tunnel from Wolf Creek.The owner and owner's sons were nothing but friendly, helpful, professional and super accommodating to us while we waited a week for a replacement part from Winnebago that was promised as shipped "overnight".Such generous and genuine people own this company.We are very pleased to say we've made friends with the family of Buckskin Towing & Repair and with that they give us another reason besides camping to visit Pagosa Springs again.Our words fall short of expressing how deep our gratitude runs for the generous help & assistance we received from this company.I recommend with the utmost highest regard and eternal respect because you couldn't expect anything but the best service when using Buckskin Towing & Repair!!!

Our RV broke down as we traveled through Pagosa Springs, CO. We called Buckskin Towing. The dispatcher was very curtius. They had the first wrecker on-site to attempt to troubleshoot with in 30 minutes. The specialized semi, lowboy trailer was dispatched and on-site in 1 hour. They loaded our 34' RV and took it to there yard. We were allowed to stay in our RV over the weekend. Monday morning early, the found a bad sensor, ordered it and it was installed the same day. All 3 employees that worked and helped us were so very nice and professional. My wife and I were very grateful and highly recommend this company. We pray for no more breakdowns but it were to happen again in this area, we would use Buckskin Towing again.Service: Special vehicle towing

Talk about a stand up company from start to finish. They answered their phone on the second ring, they showed up in the ETA they stated, and they towed us down the mountain after making a terrible mistake. All for a reasonable price. If I ever make it back to Colorado and have issues, they would be my first call hands down. Do not hesitate to use them. We had truck issues while pulling our camper . We were able to "limp" into Buckskin's. We were immediately told they had no time for us for at least a week. The mechanic offered to run a diagnostic test and would at least tell us what was wrong. We really appreciated the info and were able to call around Pagosa for help with the information Buckskin's offered. So, thank you Buckskin, you could have turned us away.

I've had a great experience with them. The staff was friendly and helpful with answering my questions. Towing was hassle-free and took care of my vehicle. I appreciate that they weren't rude while I wore my mask.

When my dad's truck got pretty much destroyed while hailing his gooseneck trailer, these guys made it roughly 450 miles to get the truck and trailer in no time. The professionalism and communication was second to none. I can't recommend these guys enough. With a near totaled Dodge 2500 he had it on the trailer in less than 15 minutes and offloaded it even faster. Was on time within minutes of his estimated arrival. We felt extremely comfortable leaving it all in his hands when we left. Great job by Kenny and buckskin towing.
