All I can say is that hands down this is one of the best experiences I've ever had with a shop. Got Max's number off of a friend of mine that hurt I was having issues getting into another shop around town. Called up Max he said bring her Bible take a look at her, other shops had said it would probably be a little over a week to be able to get my car back max had me going the next day within 24 hours of drop off. Absolutely outstanding customer service. Would highly recommend over and over again to anybody that asks. On top of being great mechanics. They are the opposite of price gougers, only the work that needs to be done will be done and it will be done at an affordable price, the world needs more mechanics like Max and his crew. I have nothing but good things to say about Best Rate Auto. My husband and I drove up to Pagosa Springs for a weekend ski trip in the mountains. The day after we arrived, our driver side and passenger window were stuck and would not roll up. With the snow really coming down and a dealership no where near to help, my husband and I were not sure what to do. Best Rate Auto was able to get us in immediately and fixed our windows within 15 minutes of arriving. They were extremely kind and provided the service free of charge. If you are ever in Pagosa Springs and are having car troubles, please go see Best Rate Auto - they will get you taken care of!

Recently I had power steering pump issues with my truck while visiting with friends in Pagosa Springs. I was given Max phone number by wrecker driver that came to tow my truck. Max and his crew got me in immediately on Monday morning and had me going by Tuesday as they had to order a part that took overnight. Well they got parts on ands away I went into mountains to camp. Got up nest morning and pump as not working again. Max got me in again and changed out a defective pump, back on road. They were very helpful and friendly would highly recommend them for any work if needed in the Pagosa Springs area.Sammy LailService: Steering & suspension repair

Had a leak in my transmission pan, brought it to Max and got it fixed right away. Quick service and a great rate. Was very happy with the customer service and quality of work. Definitely will be using Max in the future for my vehicle repairs.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Max and his guys are real mechanics, not replacement technicians. My truck broke in the winter storm and Max was able to squeeze me in the next day. He had a part there when I arrived, but it ended up not working. His parts guy is not great with late model cars, but Max was very helpful and let me try to find the part as well. Even though I also got an incorrect part, they made it work and saved the day. They ended up charging me a great price and I am very grateful to them. If I lived here, he'd be my regular mechanic.

We are from out of town. Max and his crew took care of us. Honest, reasonable and kind attitude. Heating/cooling system. We come to PGS a lot from ABQ Glad to find a reputable and highly recommended mechanic who lives up to the reputation. A million thanks to these guys! Thanks Max! Highly recommended - top notch!!!

I m traveling in my van, which is also my permanent residence, I had an oil leak when I arrived in Pagosa Springs. I d just had work done on my transmission and was super nervous about a mechanic telling me it is more than it actually is.... Max and his team were awesome! Not only did they fit me in the same day, they are a good honest crew, even offering the use of their water spigot for filling my supply while I was in town. Great people here who know what they are doing. Thanks guys!****update: still 5 stars!I m still traveling and was in Santa Fe and ran into another van issue. I drove the three hours to use these guys again and they didn t disappoint! I m pretty sure every mechanic that works here has worked on my van personally and I trust each and everyone of them they are awesome mechanics!

We came across the pass and had immediate car trouble that resulted in us pulling into a church parking lot with no phone service and little idea of the area. A young man named Shawn happened to be coming to his vehicle in the same parking lot and asked if we needed help. He looked at our truck and said he could get it fixed. He also believed we could make it to the shop without a tow. We did so successfully! Max and his team were so quick to help us. We had our dogs in tow and they were kind about us hanging out in the waiting room with our two pups while they took care of our vehicle. It is never expected to have car trouble, but when a kid like Shawn is in the area, you are in good hands. Between he and Max Nicely s kindness and generosity, we were back to our day in less than three hours (most of the time spent waiting on a part!). We thank God for this shop and plan to use them for all of our needs in the future!Service: Tires

Brought my f250 super duty to the shop today for repairs. Had the pleasure to deal with Max. He was very punctual with his intake time and estimated time of repair completion. Very professional & polite, the staff at the shop were also. Very happy with repair. Very clean, all put back in its place. You can tell these guys take pride in their work and do things right. He let me walk around shop and look at other projects they are working on. In the process of moving to Pagosa & already found my go to auto repair shop! Reasonably priced & would recommend to anyone.Alex

These guys are awesome. We re from out of town, and were trying to get back to Denver the day after Christmas when our alternator went out. Max is one of the best mechanics all around here in Pagosa Springs. I highly recommend him and his crew to knock out anything that you need. I had a engine that was bad and he diagnosed what needed to be done and it was fixed he had my truck back on the road in no time at all with a new engine. Had my cv joint axle replace and oil change the day after Christmas. Let me tell you that it is the best rate I had ever seen! The service was great! The price was so low Compared to Houston I did not have the heart to asked for military discount! Thanks guys for working on my suv.

Blew the turbo in my mk4 Jetta TDI. Max was the only confident guy in this town to work on it. He takes his time to get everything right and the car running like new again. He fixed my exhaust and boost leak and now I m on the road again for another 300k miles and then some! Props to these guys for offering a professional service and an affordable rate! These guys are THE BEST!!! My Subaru broke down in Pagosa and they got me in immediately. They were very thorough diagnosing the problem, very knowledgeable and then very fast to fix it. They also quoted a reasonable price and stuck to it. I am so grateful that I ended up at Best Rate!! They made a stressful situation so much easier to deal with and can't thank them enough!!! Max is a class act. I called him with an issue first thing in the morning, he got me in and out within a couple hours and back on the road. He knew I was from out of town and heading out of town, and he did not take advantage of my situation. Great service and great price!
