Five out of five. You just can't beat this company for product, service, and value. We took the foliage tour with Dave, a fifth generation Ouray guide, who knew just when to get us to the views with the perfect lighting, gave us all sorts of colorful history, and drove us to special places off the beaten path, with mindblowing mountain vistas, alpine cirques, and aspen groves. Back in the office, Julie was super helpful with reserving, checking in, and offering great recommendations on other trips we could do in the area both with and without a jeep. No hard sell at all, just a wealth of local information on road conditions and special places. And for a four hour tour you simply can't beat their price. We will recommend this place to everyone we meet. The highlight of our week long stay in Ouray!

My husband and I booked a half day tour to Imogene Pass located in the San Juan Mountain. Mike was our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable of the area and history, most importantly the experience on trails.Mike was accommodating to our requests of stopping for photos of the water falls, spring fed water, and looking at the wild flowers. Weather was perfect!Definitely ready to go again and experience more backroad trails. So nice we could enjoy the scenery and let Mike do all the driving. Kudos to Mike for assisting other travelers in need of help on the pass.

We were walking by after hours and had a few questions about the tours. Julie without hesitation stopped what she was doing and took us in into the shop, she gave us the whole run down on their jeeps and what they offer. We ended up booking a self guided tour and she mapped out an amazing route for us! Thank you Julie for going above and beyond for us and for making our first visit to Ouray one we will never forget!

We booked a private tour and had Geoff as our guide. We had a special booking request and everyone we spoke with were very helpful. We told Geoff our interests and he did not disappoint. He took us up to Imogine pass, to a couple of old mines, waterfalls, did some rockhounding and had a snowball fight/makeshift sledding at 12500'. When we started out a few group members were nervous about the terrain and thought I made a mistake booking the trip...after a short while they realized we were in good hands and were very excited to see views we would have never seen otherwise. Can't miss this if you are visiting Ouray!

We chose Switzerland of America to shuttle us and our wedding party to a secluded area for an intimate wedding ceremony. Any email we sent was quickly answered and they stayed in contact with us the months leading up to our wedding to be sure we nailed down every last detail. They handled all our questions and concerns with ease, even with a few last-minute unexpected changes. We really appreciated Suzanne taking the time to take us out the day prior to be sure we loved our location due to all the changes. We truly could not have had the wedding of our dreams without all of the staffs help and effort. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.Services: Private tours, Group tours

We used Switzerland of America Jeep for our wedding in October. Unfortunately, the weather turned and it was muddy, wet, and freezing and we were not able to make it to the site we had chosen for the ceremony. Brandy and her team worked to find us a beautiful new location and to make it an adventure for our guest. During photos, my jeep driver warmed blankets in his truck and consistently handed them off to the girls and kiddos. Months later, the jeep rides are still talked about. I could not be happier with our experience.

Loved this small family run tour company. Although only Yankee Boy Basin trail was open at the time of our visit, we loved our tour guide and overall expensive. Our guide, Jim (Porter), was knowledge in both history and geography of the area. We had an eye opening experience on the tour rather than a basic drive along the trail. Would like to return later on in the season to complete more routes as they open.

We love this place! Our driver Lin was so much fun and very knowledgeable and shared many fun facts and history about the area. We did the governor s basin tour and yankee boy. It was gorgeous and we had the best time.I can only leave one review so I ll add onto my previous review from 5 years ago. Switzerland of America started my off-roading obsession, they have taken me on every tour possible over the years. We came to Ouray to get married and broke one our bronco before our big day. Switzerland saved my wedding plans last minute and I cannot thank them enough!!

Great..great...great experience. Not only were we able to get the Jeep we wanted, the business is family owned and operated. Having said that there is definitely a sense of pride in what they do. I met the whole family who guided me in the local trails and my off road experience was all the much better with it. The trails were technical but the Jeep Wrangler that they provided was certainly up to the task. Good times and highly reccomend this place.

We are 2 families, best friends exploring this area of CO for the first time. 4 adults, 6 teenagers (ages 13-18). We researched heavily in the Ouray and Telluride area and chose SOA Jeeps. The website showed no availability for the days we were there but a quick call to the office and they were able to accommodate us. Our afternoon with Jim going to Corkscrew Pass did not disappoint! He is so knowledgeable about the area and packed our trip with history, facts and fun stories. We felt very safe with him the whole time. Definitely recommend SOA Jeeps!

Our driver was Jim and we were signed up for the 3-hr Yankee Boy Basin tour. We ended up getting a 3.5 hour tour with sights well beyond what we paid for and very informative geology and mining talks. This was an incredible experience, one we will never forget. Highly, highly recommend this company and Jim in particular!

I rented a 4 door Rubicon. More capable then what was needed for the trip (locking diffs) but Def helped a few times. The jeep was amazing. The staff was extremely friendly too. Would do this 1000% again!!!

Great ride to Governors Basin with Steve! A little rainy in the beginning but they provided ponchos. Good to hear about the history and the mining that happened in the Ouray area. Would definitely do it again!

Absolute blast! My family and I booked the Yankee Boy Mine tour and it was amazing! The truck itself is so cool, with open air bench seats so you get fantastic views! Our guide was super nice and very knowledgeable. His love of his work was obvious. The trail itself is so stunningly gorgeous! (Bring your camera!) We got lots of sun and even got rained on and it made the adventure all the more special. I brought a jacket and I used it a couple of times, even in the summer weather. The guides also have ponchos in the trucks for inclement weather. Completely and absolutely recommend Switzerland of America!!!

San Juan Jeep Safari is the way to go. It's not cheap but it's very personal and you can spend some time at a spot to take photos and explore. It's not about the quantity of places its about not being in a rush. Just book it, it's worth the money.

Amazing experience. Our driver Gregory was extremely skilled (we didn't fall off the mountain!) and he engaged with us the perfect amount - he didn't bore us with non-stop chatter, but he told us neat facts along the way and had answers for any question we could come up with. One of our group members is an active climber and Gregory even had recommendations for him to check out. We chose the least bumpy option, but we were definitely bounced around a lot, but what can you expect from an off-road mountain keep tour. I would definitely recommend this to anyone considering it, especially with a big group. It was a ton of fun for all 12 of us to pile in together and enjoy the sights. We only did 1/2 day, but it didn't feel rushed and we were all worn out by the end of it.The people I worked with on the phone from their office were also really nice and super helpful. And Gregory picked us up and dropped us off at our AirBnb, so we didn't have to worry about anything except having a good time!

This company is amazing! They are incredibly friendly and kind and went out of their way to make sure we found the perfect wedding location. The owner was kind enough to drive us around which incredibly thoughtful and he was super engaging; and Julie is the bomb! I would highly recommend this company!

Switzerland of America Jeeps we re VERY wonderful to work with!! They took our group of Undersheriffs and Sheriffs out on two different occasions this week and both our groups raved at how amazing the tour was all thanks to our drivers, Lin and Paul, and their knowledge of the history given throughout the tour. Thank you, Switzerland of America Jeeps! You guys are the best!!!

Excellent tour with fantastic scenery. Our guide was very informative and accommodating. Blankets and ponchos were provided as we approached colder temperatures at higher elevation.

Great jeeps and rental experience! You have to wash the keep after but only the exterior, not inside. Prices are increasing each year but we ve had a good experience for many years.

Absolutely the worst trail etiquette I've ever witnessed. I get you are trying to show tourists the trail, but when you have a line of vehicles behind you get out of the way. Every other tour company always yields to faster traffic or uphill traffic. Not these guys. I'd never recommend them to anyone visiting simply because what brings the town money is Jeeps, ATV, and SXS and they had total disregard to these individuals.

We had a fantastic experience!! Our guide Geoff was awesome!! Extremely knowledgeable about the area. We had a lot of questions, and he always took the time to answer them. They gave us blankets when it got a little colder, and ponchos when it started to rain. The wild flowers were spectacular!!! Highly recommend Swiss of America!! Very polite, great customer service.Thank you!!

Customer Service was amazing from the time I called to inquire to the time I dropped off the Jeep. The Jeep was well maintained and a blast to drive. Satellite Radio was a bonus and great on the trails!

The only place to go for Jeep tours and rentals in Ouray. As a visitor from Wisconsin, I have visited Ouray 21 times since 1975. Why? The location, of course was a factor. Jeeping, however, was introduced to me by a Switzerland of America tour in 1975. Loved it so much I went back home and traded my AMC Pacer for a new Cherokee. Moving to the present. At age 76 I just wanted to be driven up Imogene pass and enjoy. Indeed I did.Jeff the driver was very skilled. He took us on some additional areas and told many interesting stories. The next day I had a Rockie Mountain high and rented a new Rubicon from them. Went Jeeping to Telluride and back. The bottom line..tour or rent from them. Ouray and Jeeping could become an addiction
