Called Phil and spoke to him about the issue of my vehicle. He gave me a quote over the phone, which is more than what anyone else would do. I was already happy with that service. I brought in the vehicle and he had it done in less than two days. He also made an extra repair as he saw an issue with my axle. The price was competitive and the level of service was fantastic.i will be returning to him for my next repair.Service: Brakes

I've used Phil for a few years now. His knowledge & skill are on par with, and in most cases better than than Mechanics at the dealerships, while is his pricing is quite fair.I've trusted his shop with 1 Toyota and 2 Lexus', and have never been let down or unsatisfied with the work or the cost.Go ahead and give his place a shot. It's nice to find a quality independent mechanic shop that you can count on.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Overall great experience! You do need an appointment for your car to be seen. I've scheduled mine 10 days out as earliest available but that wait could be shorter other times of the year. My Toyota Camry needed it's transmission checked out and Phil did identify the issue but didn't recommend the full trany breakdown to fix it. I loved the no pressure transaction and customer service. Would recommend and will be coming back.

I don t normally post any review but I am thankful a friend of mine referred this business to me. Phil is really honest and was really helpful. I went to Brakes Plus and they quoted me over $2k in repairs and I took it to Phil to have him look at it. Out of 3 items that Brakes Plus told me to fix, I only had to do one and cost me way less than what Brakes Plus would have charged me. Thanks Phil! A toyota lift mechanic told me he uses Phil for all of his normal maintenance. I don't know much about cars and trucks, but a recommendation from another mechanic is as good as it gets. Since then I have taken both my Toyota truck and my Lexus sedan to Phil for all of their maintenance, prices have always been competitive and in some cases he has discovered that the work is less expensive and intensive than I expected. Seems very honest and has done good work on both of my vehicles, I highly recommend this shop.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Phil is awesome. My spouse and I have gone to him with a few different cars and he s always honest, prices everything fairly, and does great work. Now we go to Smooth Ride for everything we can.It can be hard to find a good mechanic these days, so having one we trust has been a huge relief! Thanks so much to Phil and all of his team! Takes a minute to warm up but exceptional workmanship on my vehicle. They replaced power steering hoses which means they would have had to bleed my system which isn't easy, even I had to bleed better myself when I got my vehicle back from an overhaul at the dealer. Was in a bit of a time crunch while visiting the Denver area and needed my ride height adjusted on my Tacoma aftermarket shocks, as well as an alignment. Phil did a great job getting it done quickly enough to get me back on the road and I am very happy with the results. Also felt like he was honest and charged a fair price. No complaints!

Phil is a great guy, very honest and he doesn't take advantage of people. He installed some aftermarket parts on my GX470 and charged a very reasonable rate for the job. I will be returning in the future for any work needed.

I have referred all of my friends and coworkers to this shop for literally all of their car needs. I have been taking my red GMC work truck to Phil for years and years. He is the only mechanic that I know of that does not scam or jip you on prices. He looks at the financial options, gives them to you, and provides the work requested. Unlike Firestone where they sell you a product your car can't use.I would rate Phil's shop 100 out of 5 stars if I could. I love this shop and their integrity.Out of the last 10 years, I have had 0 problems with this shop.

I brought my truck in because it was having acceleration issues. I was thinking the worst and imagining a huge bill to repair some major thing like the transmission. Turns out it was some minor adjustment on the brake itself. Phil could have EASILY told me something else but he was honest, up front and fast, which means a lot, being a female and always hearing about getting ripped off. His price was extremely reasonable (only charged me for diagnostics). I would definitely come back and recommend him to anyone looking for an honest, knowledgeable mechanic in the area.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I started to get a clunking noise from my front driver side wheel. Phil was able to squeeze me in on short notice to take a look. Turns out it was my fault when I was doing some brake work. Phil fixed the issue and had me out the door same day at a very reasonable cost. Very professional, fast, and accommodating. I will definitely go back for the next issue I have with my cars.Service: Brakes

Motor blew in our Highlander and replaced they it quickly and did a great job! They re honest, kept us up to date on the repairs and was spot on with the estimated costs!! They definitely know their way around a Toyota.

Phil is the most amazing and honest mechanic.Bought a used car everyone said I was scammed and bought a vehicle with a blown transmission even a highly reputable transmission shop. Took it to Phil and the issue was resolved the same day. Cheap simple fix bad motor mounts was all. I found Smooth Ride online. I have somewhat of a background in car mechanics and chose him based on our phone conversations. During those conversations, I mentioned that I live overseas and was transiting through Denver and informed the owner Phil that I would like to stop by and have my recently purchased Toyota 4Runner lifted and checked out before we continued a long road trip.I gave Phil authorization to check and repair numerous items. He was honest and only found $80 of repairs necessary out of the $600 I had authorized. Considering he knew I was from out of town, I was very pleased he did only what was necessary rather than charging for unnecessary work. This is commendable.I am also very pleased with his pricing and quality on the lift job.I can recommend this shop and the owner Phil who is also a certified Toyota master mechanic.

I had to get some front shocks for my Tundra in a hurry before we went out of town. I found the ones I needed but still needed to get them installed. I called Phil based on a recommendation from Toytec and that was one of the best decisions I could have asked for. Phil was amazing and the price was unbelievable. He got me in same day and did an amazing job. When I took my truck in for alignment the tech asked me how I got it so perfect. All it needed was a tweak on the toe. I told him Smooth Ride did it. I think he'll be contacting them soon for his lift as well.

Phil is an expert at his craft. I crunched a steering knuckle and my power steering rack in my 4runner on a 4x4 trail in Summit County and was in a tight spot. All of which I had no idea at the time, but knew it was not good. No shops available for weeks up there so I got it towed to Smooth Ride, Phil diagnosed the situation in less than 24 hours, was completely transparent on pricing and timing, then got the work done in less than 2 weeks. Did such a good job I did Black Bear Pass and Imogene Pass in the San Juans the next week and everything worked good as new. Truly an awesome repair experience in a world of typically bad experiences.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have had 3 lift's installed by Phil on 3 different trucks. I highly recommend Smooth Ride Auto to anyone for ANY service. It is hard to trust a lot of shops. I whole heartedly trust this shop and have received nothing but EXCELLENT service from these folks. They are professional, honest and very friendly. I won't go anywhere else! Best service, best price!I was referred here by Toytec, and although I do all of the work on my truck I needed to bring a part in for some service that took machinery that I don't own. Phil is a very honest, down to earth man. For people who are weary of mechanics because you don't know better, I can tell you Phil knows what he is doing and is absolutely honest. I will always be using Smooth Rides for needs my garage can't fulfill!

Phil knocked it out of the park with a difficult repair on my 2008 Mustang. Most in-depth diagnostics I've seen from a shop. Speedometer had stopped working and the check engine code said the vehicle speed sensor was bad. He checked the sensor before replacing it and found that it was actually good. Then he checked out the wiring and found that it was also good. Replaced the ECM and the speedometer went right back to working. If I had tried to do this myself I would have first replaced a part that didn't need it and then spent days or weeks looking for a wiring issue that didn't exist. Highly recommend this shop.Service: Electrical

Phil seems like an honest mechanic, but when I took my vehicle to them for brakes, they never felt right after. I took it back to see why, they worked right for about a day and went back to not working well. They also stole the owl I had hanging from my mirror. When I took it back for the brakes, it started overheating right after. I found my radiator fan was unplugged and stashed in the back. Someone here is dishonest. Dealership has my business back... they're more money, but I never had these issues with them. Lesson learned.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Amazing customer service! I used to have a good shop i went to in Northglenn for all my car needs, it closed about 5 years ago though and I've been looking for some place else that I could trust ever since. Can very confidently say smooth ride checks all boxes, as said great service, really fair pricing, no upselling or any other BS you deal with at some many shops, and all staff is super friendly. It was a breeze to set up a appointment, ill be back for any of my cars and couldn't recommend then strongly enough, 10/10

Smooth Ride Auto is the place to go! Before moving to Colorado recently, I had a mechanic I was going to for 8 years, and was nervous to come to a new state, as a young female, and not get ripped off. Well.. I can say that I've comfortably found a place that DOESN'T rip people off!!! Phil, and the rest of the workers at Smooth Ride Auto truly care about their customers and the cars that they see. I first went in November for an oil change and they quoted me for my breaks. Now, in April, I went back to get my breaks done, and they were so amazing, once again! They broke it down in non-mechanic talk where my car stands and what it will need in the up-coming future. Their prices are great as well. I cannot thank them enough for being great! So, thank you to everyone at Smooth Ride Auto for all of your hard work- you all are appreciated! Thank YOU!
