I brought my car in for what I thought was a new transmission, but to my delight was only a broken seal. Mark and his team did a fantastic job diagnosing and repairing my car! They saved my vehicle and they saved me money!

Mark and Joe were very helpful any time I spoke with them and I appreciated them answering my many, many questions. My car is running great and while it took longer than I hoped, I understand it's not a simple process. They are professional and upfront about the issues and cost. I would absolutely recommend this shop!

We took our car to get it diagnosed for a transmission leak. Mark called towards the end of the day telling us we need a couple hundred dollars in parts in order for him to even determine what the problem was with the transmission. We told him that we'd like to get a second opinion and when we went to pick up the vehicle the next morning ask where we check the transmission fluid. His response was, "I don't know." When I asked how we would know whether the transmission fluid level was sufficient to drive the vehicle his response was, "Check your manual."Sooooooo glad we decided to get a second opinion as these guys obviously don't know what they're doing. Or, if they do, they're just more willing to jerk around someone who might be a potential customer?We'd recommend you keep looking if you're thinking of stopping here.Update: Anthony at O'Reilly was FAR more help than Mark. He got us set with the proper fluid after answering some basic questions we had and was real friendly to boot!With the dirt level on the transmission fluid cap, seems we're the first to have checked it in a while... Just sayin'. Update 2: Owner Joe called. Good points for his quick attention. We're considering how to update the review based on his inputs. It's a big bag of stuff to consider. Update 3: Still considering the ethics and inputs from AAMCO in Northglenn. We made it home all the way to Northern Minnesota without issues - car driving great though still leaking fluid. We'll be taking it to our mechanic here for further diagnosis. Then we'll consider another update to this review.

Mark and the team at AAMCO Northglenn handled my challenging insurance claim with USAA superbly. We dropped off our vehicle for diagnosing a loss of power issue. A few diagnoses were made, taking a while to narrow down the exact cause. After the first repair that didn't quite fix it, AAMCO covered the tow to get the vehicle back to their shop to correct it.It did take a decent amount of time to narrow down the exact cause of the issue. During that time, I feel like the shop could've been better about returning phone calls and keeping you informed on the status of the vehicle.While our experience wasn't the best, Mark ensured we would walk out of there happy with our issues resolved. Ultimately we did not pay for the other parts that did not turn out to be the problem.I am thankful for AAMCOs continuous effort in getting this issue resolved, and making sure that they addressed their shortcomings, leaving me with a positive image of them.

The "free" check consisted of them driving around the block and looking at the engine bay for 45 secs. Whole diagnostic took 8min and then took them 4 more hours to call me to say I need to pay 4 or 500 for "special diagnostic" and when i said no he kept trying to pressure for financing and when i said no he didn't like it. Take your money to a honest place.

Mark took the time to answer all my questions and explain the process and what went wrong with the transmission and all my options for getting it replaced. Came in over $1,000 less than the Toyota dealership quoted me

I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. They took such great care of me and my vehicle. I am overly impressed with the quality of service I received, they most definitely went above and beyond. After my initial transmission job was completed, I had ran into another issue with my car. I called the shop and they towed my vehicle to the shop to look over it again, then with an honest diagnosis I was informed it was a simple two minute fix and was not charged for the tow, diagnostic test, or fix for the second go round.

Do not use the location in Northglenn , CO. Rude employees. Hummer was taken there for transmission replacement. Still paying on repairs. Also fixed fuel pump. Something wasn t fixed correctly with fuel pump. Looking in to what exactly happened, but recently got car back and after short period of time engine threw a rod and started on fire. Something was not repaired correctly. Different employees now who are rude and unaccountable. Took over a week to call me back to let me know that engine blew, already knew that, thank you. My question is why and what are you going to do about it? Basically said either fix engine- another $5k, or come get it before we charge you storage. Escalating to corporate and having insurance investigate. Unprofessional, incompetent, unaccountable and RUDE!

The only Mechanic shop who was able to properly fix my transmission! My truck is running great a month later! These guys gave me a clear deadline and a very accurate estimate. The front desk lady is also extremely nice! 10/10 highly recommend!!!!

When my transmission started to leak, I knew I was S.O.L, and when I called AAMCO of Northglenn, all my worries went away. Will is WONDERFUL and treated me with the utmost respect. He described the entire process from beginning to end and kept me updated throughout the whole process. Being a young woman usually means being ripped off when it comes to car services or being treated poorly, unlike how I was treated here--they were so incredibly nice and thoughtful! Not only did they rebuild my transmission, but also noticed that my power steering was out and replaced it without hesitation and without extra charge. 100% would go back again and again if any problems were to arise. Awful. Dropped my car off on a Friday morning. Didn't receive any call. Called at 430 they said my car was first to be looked at Monday. Still never got a call. I called at 430 on Monday only to be told to actually diagnosis my car would be at least 1495. Not even to fix it. I already knew the codes, I would say it's a free diagnostic when you can get the same thing at a non transmission specialist. The guy was rude. You had my car 4 days. I got 0 calls for you guys. And no print out to show what could be wrong, or a price breakdown. Would never recommend. Very scammy

I would give 100 negative stars if I could and that wouldn't be enough! I encourage you to look else where. They had my vehicle for about 6 weeks before replacing my transmission. It ran worse when I picked it up. My check engine light came on about 2 minutes into my drive. When I got it home I noticed a dent in my fender and hood. They used a crowbar or something to pry the hood open. I immediately called and left a message about my hood. Later on that evening, I drove it and it kept stalling. . I had to return it. I call a few days later to get an update without success. Around 3:15 pm on Friday I received a text message stating they are in the process of tearing it apart to figure out what was happening. Monday comes and I get a call asking if I picked up my vehicle over the weekend, well no I thought it was in the shop being torn down. My vehicle was stolen off the lot. They were concerned enough to file a police report. It seemed that the general Manager Todd couldn t of cared less. I wasn t allowed to speak to the owner.Luckily the car was recovered Tuesday night trashed and ignition broke. I had no other choice but to tow it back to Aamco with having the transmission warranty. Turns out it's not my transmission they think it s my fuel pump. I had it moved next door and my computer is not working properly and I needed a new battery. I had my battery replaced in March. This company took my brand new battery out and replaced it with a marina battery. Yes a boat battery. Todd said those batteries are better. What a joke this place is. STAY AWAY!! I was physically ill because the stress this has caused me. I don't want anyone going through this. I am not even confident that they replaced my transmission at this point.

They replaced a motor. And did an excellent job! Their work not only precise, but also done quicker than I expected! I'm satisfied, and appreciate their professionalism, integrity, keeping me updated, and their friendly service. They did fix my transmission so that is good. Lol. . I haven t had any issues so far but I also haven t driven it much because of so many other issues with the vehicle. Not their fault at all. It seems to be ok. I was really happy to get it back. They also said they found an issue with my drive shaft and the replaced it for no charge to the labor. Just the part. I appreciated that. They also said I had a dead battery and they replaced that free of charge also. That s cool too considering the $3700 bill. Lol They did have my car for 3 months though. I told them I didn t need it back right away but that s a little excessive. They weren t very communicative. I d go literally weeks without any word. When the car was picked up with a tow truck driver, I didn t receive a receipt. Figured that should be customary. I liked how they offered payment plans but I just feel a little communication goes a long way. I own my own business and I make it a point to contact all my current customers at least once a week and I am as personable with them as possible. I feel I deserve the same treatment from a fellow business.

My truck would not go over 2000 rpms. So I take it explain to them what is going on.They tell me it s the torque converter. I get replaced, they tell me it s working perfectly after their test drive. I get in my truck and still same issue.So they keep my truck for another month and then telling me it s catalytic converter and say there is nothing they can do.Wasted my money and I would say stay away from here.Service: Transmission

I can not express enough how horrible this place is and I highly do not recommend anybody to this aamco!! Especially Joe! He is with out a doubt a crook and a cheat! He kept my truck for over two weeks just to check the engine code and charged me $370.00. When I finally called him for the seventh time to check status on my truck he said that I had a bad catalytic converter and told me they don't do those replacement's parts there and sent me next door to have them do the repairs. They within five minutes pulled a misfire code and had repairs done in one week! So not only did Joe rip me off for the $370.00 he did not even check for engine code, didn't even try! I had broken spring valves and he said I had to replace my catalytic converter. WRONG!!!! Stay away from this location and especially Joe at that location!!! That one star given on this rating is false it was only to push this post through.

I came to Aamco for a second opinion after getting my vehicle diagnosed at the dealership. From the get-go they were extremely helpful, communicative, and friendly. They were able to confirm what the problem was quickly and gave me options for moving forward. Getting a transmission done is not cheap, but neither is quality. I did save a little money by going to Aamco versus the dealership, but the customer service at Aamco was superior. They get all my business and referrals from now on - thanks guys!Service: Transmission

I would give this place a 5/5. It s hard to find a friendly shop that actually cares about the customer. I stopped by on the 22nd for what I thought was a transmission problem. Expecting the worst case scenario Michael ensured me my vehicle was fine that it was just a system error. He even checked to make sure all my fluids were good, truly going above and beyond. He was friendly and genuine. Asked about my day, family etc. I will definitely be back with any vehicle problems my family has! Go see Michael at AAMCO! You won t regret it!Service: Oil change

If I could give no stars I would! I brought in my gray chevy sports car to get a FREE diagnostic report... mind you, I first went to auto zone and got it done which they gave free with copy of report. (Which was in my car when I dropped it off, they took it out my car)I dropped my car off 2 days ago, called them today (they didn't call me at all I had to CALL THEM) told me they had to break down my trasmission to find problem THEN over charging me without knowing I have warranty and I refused, picked My car up today and when I asked for copy of free diagnostic report they REFUSED to give it to me. They wanted to scam me because they took my auto zone diagnostic out my car l left on purpose tosee if they would take and they did!p.s soon as I picked My car up I went back to auto zone and it read the same problem he said it was a lot it was only 2 and it wasn't worth $1400 bucks.

This place will just rip you off take my word for it when they say tow is free they will charge you later for it they over charge for a lot of things go some where else.Where they treat you right instead of robbing you don't say someone didn't warn you!!

Shoddy craftsmanship. Had rear diff rebuilt and it didn t even make it 5,000 miles before it started leaking oil where there should be a seal. GM was dismissive on the phone about my being 3.5 hours hours away with a vehicle I can t drive to have his mechanic redo his poor work.

Had new transmission put in and axel replaced they can take off parts but since they had my car 2 months they stripped some bolts because I kept asking for it already even gave me someone else s car when I just paid for mine after it took another week and now I m fixing when they messed with and it s stripped afService: TransmissionService: Transmission

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! the service was a nightmare. They "replaced" my transmission and the car was running worse. THEY took off my gaskets and didn't put them back on, then tried claiming it was the catalytic converters. They said they'd get new ones and contact me, they never did and when called out on it, they had fired the dude that was helping us out.AAMCO is a scam and never EVER let them touch your vehiclesService: Transmission

This northglenn Colorado location of AAMCO had our vehicle for 30 days and was terrible with customer service and communication and he did not stand up to what they said I think they tell so many lies that they can t keep up with themselves. No integrity! I would not recommend using them.I used them about 10 years ago and had no problem is the only reason why I brought business back to them little did I know there s new management and ownership that took over at the beginning of this year and it s terrible at this rate they won t be in business very long . They never answer their phones and are not polite when you get a callback from them I m referring to Todd Joe is OK but he doesn t do what he promises Joe is the new owner. Also extremely overpriced in comparison to others had we knew from the beginning we would ve never left our vehicle with them.Service: Transmission

I am so impressed by this place! I have been having some problems with my truck and had called several shops only to get appalling estimates. Right when I felt desperate enough to possibly sell the car, I decided to call one more shop and I spoke with Jeff here at AAMCO. Right off the bat he was very knowledgeable of the issue. N I took it in the next day, and it is 4:45 in the afternoon and I already have it back, with same day service! that is running amazing! And very important to all of us, it ended up costing a third of what other shops had quoted me. This is what everyone's looking for- a reliable, and hones shop that you can trust your vehicle with. I will definitely not be going anywhere else for any mechanical needs that I have, and certainly referring all my friends and family here as well. Thanks Jeff!Service: Engine repair
