The last few days I ve been in for products as I get my daughter s car ready to go back to college. Dave has been amazing and has won over my future business versus the competition. He s personable, friendly, professional and down right a pleasure to chat with. He s customer service skills are second to none and he s the epitome of what the competition should strive for. I was across the street at O Reilly and the service was disappointing. They used to be more helpful but corporate has limited what they could do. Across the street is Advance Auto Parts and, wow, it was like stepping back in time to when customer service was priority one. Arren went above and beyond in helping me with some lighting issues on my vehicular and saved me hours of time in going place to place in search of help. Arren was so helpful and a pleasure to work with. Don t hesitate at all in seeking help and good prices at Advance Auto Parts.

The young lady at the register was knowledgeable about the parts I needed for my truck. Her competence made for a pleasant shopping experience. They even gave me a military discount! It will be my go-to place for my automotive needs.

Don't ask to use a screwdriver or any tool for that matter. I busted a hose on my car. I barely made it to advance. Bought the hose and asked to use a screwdriver. I was told I needed to purchase it. But they didn't have a regular one so I had to buy a $20 screwdriver to fix the hose that cost $15.

I've had my Dodge Ram 3500 hauling truck for twenty plus years and have had every sort of customer service experience at auto parts stores along the way. And it's been a LONG time since I've had such exceptional customer service from a store. Let alone on a cold Sunday evening that required the replacement of not one but two heavy duty batteries (and crabby rusty windshield wipers too).Mad props and major kudos to the team of Johnny, Sasha and Tyler for making the experience pleasant friendly and dare I say fun. This store definitely has my business.

Walked in 8 minutes before closing to look for a push rivet for my car. At almost 60 years old and without my reading glasses I was having a hard time finding the right part. At 1 minute after closing one of the 2 gentlemen working said the stores was closed and that I needed to check out now. I immediately got up and walked to the counter where I had to wait for another customer to finish checking out.When I got to the counter, I mentioned to Zak, the manager (I think), who was ring me up, that it was not a good way to keep customers by telling them 1 minute after the store closes that they have to leave. Zak said, " it's 2 minutes after" and I immediately knew that a productive discussion would probably not happen, but I did try to have one.I calmly and nicely said that I'm a customer in need and an extra couple minutes of help after closing would likely be something that would keep customers coming back.Zak then really floored me when he said I was the reason we don't let people in the store after closing. What!? I was trying to coach this young man into how to capture and keep customers and he then turned it around and made me the bad guy. It was mind boggling.I've worked retail and grocery and we would shut the store on time but not really bothered customers for at least a couple minutes, if not more, before asking them to finalize their purchases, but this kid thinks that I need to be told the moment the store closes that I need to check out now that I couldn't stay later. Wow!Definitely lost a customer for life. I will now go to the auto parts store across the street. I used to share my time at each one equally but this one incident will forever keep me away from Advanced Auto Parts.

Sold me the wrong part, because the one I wanted was out of stock. Convinced me that I need a different one, and I had to return it. Inconvenient.The return process was okay at least.

Got turned away from O Reiley s who refused to test my battery if I didn t bring it inside because it was too cold even after I explained I didn t have any tools on me. On the contrary, Advance gladly tested it and were extremely helpful.

Showed up at 7 P.M. on a Friday (hours say open until 9), only for the doors to be locked, but the lights on with employees inside. No one would open the door, although it appeared as if they noticed me. I would understand if the store closed at 7, but the door & Google states they re open until 9.

I'm not a fan of AAP in general anymore, but I absolutely refuse to set foot in the Jackson Creek location. I will happily drive the extra miles to the Briargate location or even go across the street to a rival store to avoid this location. I had an issue that the manager had to get involved in a while back, and he spent the entire time (and it was a very long time) acting as if he was doing me a huge favor that would bring the wrath of the company down on him when it was literally just customer service to correct poor AAP fulfilment (as has become the norm).

If I could give this location and it's manager J.P. Peltier less than a one star, maybe a negative I would do so!! I had been in this location back in the end of January to get a new battery for my vehicle. At the time I purchase the most expensive Die Hard Battery so that I would not have to worry about the power loss again and a young male and the manager on duty seemed to be having trouble installing it but they finished and the car started up so I felt it was good. Speed up to yesterday morning where I went to work but the car would not start, the battery seemed completely dead and no juice to the dashboard or lights. Took it to Christian Brothers here in Monument after using a battery box to jump start it. Christian Brothers told me in writing that the battery had been improperly installed with the terminals loose and the positive terminal not pushed all the way down. They put that in writing by the way! I proceeded to Advanced Auto after picking up the car from Christian Brothers. Once I arrived I asked for the manager and the male who identified himself as a manager said I would need to speak with the GM. This was J.P. Peltier who I could tell was going to give me a hard time but I figured that since I was going to ask him to pay only for the service done on the battery. $130. 00 which even after reading what Christian Brothers wrote and he took a picture of Invoice. He told me he was not going to pay the whole bill but I made it clear that was not what I was after only the service on the electrical system. J.P. Peltier told me to wait while he contacted his boss a district manager who I never got a name of. Meanwhile the other associates where milling about and the one originally stating he was a manager asked me for my phone number which I had already given to him to see the purchase date of the battery. I asked why and he said in a condescending manner "we are going to do a little research with it". I had a feeling from the behavior of the staff that this is not going to be easy. J. P. Peltier came back and asked me to go around a corner of the shelving to tell me that he had spoken with Randy at Christian Brothers Auto and that Randy had stated that it was not Advanced Auto's fault. He had a statement in writing on the invoice that Randy said the battery had been installed incorrectly and Advanced Auto location in Monument is who installed it so it seemed that was cut and dry. Nope!! J. P. Peltier without any problem told me that his DM and he were not going to do anything about it. No reimbursement, no nothing. I went back to Randy at Christian Brothers to see what he had to say. That did not go well and I will not be going back to Christian Brothers anywhere!! Nor will I be going back to any Advanced Auto locations for anything!! They could not have cared less about making good to the customer that was so obviously their fault!! I also had stated that the two guys who installed the battery seemed to be having trouble with the install. So what I guess from Advanced Auto's perspective. Well, I guess that sums up the car business. Don't worry about making a happy customer or keeping a customer, you didn't, I will not be back ever again and will tell others not to shop with you either!!

Good autoparts store. Staff are helpful and they offer curbside pickup. I like the "rewards" program and other kickbacks. Nice to have a 3rd option in the area when you are looking for the best deal on a urgently needed part..

The gals are lovely and very knowledgeable on what I needed. I was able to find small parts to my 2005 for expedition door lock. They have specials that come and go on oil and feel system cleaner. Would recommend.

JP at The Monument store went over and above to help my son Jack & I with his Volkswagen CC. The engine & EPC light came on.We drove it to Adavance Auto Parts Monument today and he hooked the car up to a Code Scanner found the problem. We bought the parts that JP recommended he let us use his tools installed them and in 30 minutes we were up and running. I can t tell you how much we appreciated his knowledge and skills.Thank You for your help and being the best at what you do.

Salesman was very helpful. He wouldn't allow me to use the differential oil he had on the shelf because after researching it he told me that he couldn't look me in the eye and tell me that it was the proper blend of oils for my vehicle. We ended up having the right blend shipped from another store in Texas. He probably saved me from problems down the road.

Great service, reasonable price, wide variety of items, and a military discount! I have a Toyota Prius and finding parts outside of the dealership is not easy or cheap, however, Advance Auto spares me the burden of having to go to the dealership and pay higher than normal prices.

Very helpful and friendly staff. They helped me find everything I was looking for right away. When I rented a part earlier in the month they went out of their way to make sure the tool I was getting was the correct one and had all the components I would need.

Got something that almost worked, but ended up going across the street to O'Reilly's where the help was significantly better. Ended up getting exactly what I needed there.None of the staff at Advance were wearing masks. All of the staff at O'Reilly's were.

Great--I needed a new battery for my car. They walked through my 3 options and explained the difference. And they installed and disposed of the old battery for free!

Couldn't have asked for a better group of people for help on parts and maintenance for my Tacoma. First time doing the tuneup by myself and they were a big help
