Took my vehicle to this shop for a Carmax warranty repair. Lance was incredibly helpful, very knowledgeable, and was not trying to upsell me on products. He was very straightforward and honest, which is an amazing thing to find in a mechanic. I also had price checked for brakes and routers and he was $200 cheaper than the Ford dealership. I would 100% recommend this shop for any of your mechanical needs. They were able to get me in almost the same day. Which to me is extremely important in a town with not very many reliable mechanics. Support local businesses.

Excellent customer service and wealth of knowledge. We live full time in our rig and they were able to do a full transmission swap in one day. Even stayed after hours to make sure we got on the road. Had transmission problem while traveling. Gave a fair estimate of time and money required to fix. It ended up being much cheaper. Was very helpful and honest.

Always great to get a second opinion was told by Lance . I needed a new transmission in my 02 Mercedes c240.. picked it up and took to another mechanic.. and he filled with transmission fluid and it runs and drives no issues.

I was driving to Montrose for the holidays when my car started having serious drivability issues . I saw the good reviews for AATCO online and decided to call them. Missy, who answered my call and assisted me while i worked with AATCO, was professional, kind, and responsive in getting us in quickly for a free diagnostic. Thankfully I was wrong in my assumption I had a transmission concern, but the good folks at AATCO diagnosed my engine concern free of charge and handled the transfer of my car to another repair facility with ease. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs a friendly and fair repair facility in the Montrose area.Service: Transmission

These guys are awesome! My truck was having issues on the way back from Ouray and I was at my wits end on how to get back to Denver. Lance, had to order the part. I waited for it to come in over the weekend and they got my truck going asap on Monday. I highly recommend this shop! these guys ROCK! Couldn't have asked for better service. especially being from out of town. Missy killed the customer service at the counter and I believe his name was Billy (shop Forman) (sorry if I got that wrong) knocked it out quick as soon as he had the part. I was blessed to have a breakdown so close to this shop

I can t thank you all enough for helping my sweet grandma get her camper fixed in ONE DAY! She is visiting from Texas and I have been worried sick since she started having issues. I can t thank you all enough! Not only can you trust this business to do great business you can trust them like family! Thank you so much! Also, their pricing was very fair & the quality of the job did not go unnoticed! Everyone should go here! You will not be disappointed!

Just don't go here. This place cost me over a year of problems and almost countless hours of trouble. Brought a car to change a steering rack, left it for about a month and they said it was ready. Went to pick it up an hour and a half away and wasn't ready. Waited all day and then took it for a drive and the steering was much worse, they had put the wrong steering rack in. They told me that they didn't feel anything wrong with the car when the steering felt like complete garbage. I was told to drive it more, didn't fix the problem. Took it back a few months later and they put another rack in but never set it or did an alignment. The tie rods were way off and the steering wheel wasn't close to straight. I ruined a set of tires driving it because I thought they completed the job. This experience was bad enough that I'm writing this review TWO YEARS LATER when I finally found someone who actually did a proper job fixing my vehicle.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

It's rare to find companies that are here to help rather than make a quick buck. We were traveling from out of town, had car problems and came to the shop. Lance ran a quick check but with a newer model car it was difficult to diagnose computer issues that required a trip to the dealership. Rather than just turn us away he did everything he could to help us out. He made a few phone calls to people he knew and even offered a loaner vehicle so we could get around town (which is not a standard service). All without expecting a dime. I offered payment for his time but he refused. It's tough to find good mechanics you can trust but I'm confident Lance has your best interest in mind. Thank you.

Excellent shop. Fast, quality work. Unfortunately I got a bad remanufactured unit, but they coordinated with a different shop in Louisiana and got me a new unit sent down in no time! Warranty didn't cover a reflash for the new until but the shop paid for it out of pocket. Strongly recommend this shop!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

We were on our way home to Missouri from a family vacation in Ouray when my husband's transmission in his truck started acting up. We stopped and stayed the night in Montrose and the next morning we found this shop. The owner and his wife were amazing and genuine people. They immediately got us in and looked at the truck to figure out if we could continue on or have to leave the truck behind. He was honest and not at all pushy. We ended up driving the truck home and thankfully made it the whole way. If his shop was close to our home, it's who we would have fix it.Service: Transmission

We were visiting Montrose for the week when we ran into an issue halfway thru that made my car undriveable. Thank goodness for AATCO! They were able to diagnose the issue, quickly repair, and even arranged transportation for us since we were pretty much stuck without a way to get around on our vacation. They are honest and fair and kept me aware of how things were going so I could make arrangements really good people. They pretty much saved the second half of our vacation! Lance and Missy run a top quality business. I own a transmission business in Denver and was on a trip to Ouray and needed some work done by them. Our trans went out coming over Red Mountain and we managed to limp it to their shop-had no choice. It was Saturday and we called just to leave a message that we left it there and will call tow Monday. We go a call back from them maybe 5 mins later saying they would look at it Monday if we wanted! Definitely took them up on that offer and they ended up fixing it after they've us a quote we could live with.

Thank you AATCO!! I had previously taken my subaru to another place in Montrose and they diagnosed my issue 3 separate times and none of these were the problem. I was into this other business for almost $2K when I finally brought it to AATCO, they got me right in, within hours of calling, did their own FREE diagnostic and said that if for season that is not the problem they wouldn't charge me for what they did and they would go back in and figure it out. But no need they fixed it for just over $200 and I was out the door. I only wish I had not taken it to the other place first. Thank you for your time AATCO, I will be bring my families vehicles to you all from now on

This place is amazingMy partner James transmission broke unexpectedly on his gmc Sierra and they went above and beyond helping us get it fixed and even found out it was covered by insurance due to warranty. Came in from out of town and stopped by because our car was making a strange sound. They got the car in right away, took it for a test drive to hear the sound and fixed the problem (a bent bar and a loose piece) in less than 15min, for no charge. Everything was explained clearly, and everyone was very helpful. Fantastic!

I have been a customer of AATCO Transmissions for over 10 years now. The owners have a always treated me honestly and I can't imagine going anywhere else for my automotive needs. They have even provided my with transportation to work and back to pick up my car at the end of the day which has been a life saver since I only have one vehicle. If you are looking for a reasonable and reliable place to take your car I would highly recommend this company!

Brought my truck in with trouble shifting into park. Was told they were going to drop the transmission pan and inspect for any damage or any sign of what was causing the shifting issues. Got a call later saying it needed a new transmission and would cost $3000. Went ahead and got a second opinion and it turned out that was a total lie. The other shop dropped the pan and found a broken park sprawl rod in the pan which was causing the problems. Dont trust their word, always get second opinion.

Oh my Gosh, I can t begin to thank Lance and Missy at AATCO Transmission enough for everything they ve done for me these last couple of days. I m traveling up from Texas to Idaho and beyond and my Transmission went out! They put in a new one in record time, I ll be back in the road tomorrow morning!!! I am a woman, traveling alone, a woman that is clueless when it comes to car repair, a woman they could have easily taken advantage of and , did not!!I will be forever grateful!! I have to disagree with Jerry. I have know and done business with Rick and Jan for several years. I have never had to return to have a job redone. I have never felt like i was cheated and never paid above the estimate they quoted. I have always been treated with respect and kindness and will only use them for my transmissions needs. Good job guys!!!!!

Dishonest! They claim to have rebuilt the transmission, but they didn't.. They also refused to provide a warranty that they claimed would be provided. The transmission had to be rebuilt again by a reputable company that documented in detail that AATCO could not have rebuilt it because of the condition it was in. Pieces were missing, broken, and old. It was not repaired despite taking it back time and time again. The staff kept blaming other mechanical issues when, in fact, none existed. I'm glad I will never have to deal with them again!

We have a fleet of vans we use for our outfitting business. Hauling big loads in unfavorable conditions is hard on the rigs, so maintenance issues are common. We have used Aatco for a couple of repairs. They have done the repairs with skill and professionalism. Their prices have been fair. They are now my go to for auto work.

The worst repair shop! Lance Russell ripped us off! Beware! Make sure you get the Certificate that says ATRA. They put water in the transfer case so we would have to spend extra $ when we broke down. Crooks! Don t do it. Read ALL the reviews online!! They left my husband stranded. They didn t want another ATRA shop to touch the trans or case. What this other shop found was negligence of the techs and cheap parts. They would not refund any of our money. They offered and sold us the ATRA warranty but failed to give it, gave us a house warranty only.Background check Lance Russell see what you find!

I went in with my 1 ton Chevy truck, I needed a new transmission they said and gave me a price. I checked around , asked around and found they were competively priced and knew exactly what they were talking about. I am glad I chose them, any questions or concerns I had were readily answered and addressedI highly recommended them
