I ran over a KNIFE that blew out my tire and punctured my rim, outside Pagosa. Limped into Monte V on a donut where the men at the car care center welcomed me in and assessed the damage. This is first thing Saturday morning of Labor Day weekend mind you and i still needed to get to Breck for a family reunion. The ease at which they handled the situation and their can-do attitude made me able to laugh at the knife I ran over, which they had never seen before, and gave me hope that i'd be able to continue my journey that day. Sure enough, my tire was done for, couldn't be repaired and we sought other options. An hour or so later, after we patched the rim with j-b weld and they set me up with a comprable used tire, i was ready to check out and pay. $20 was the total. 3 friendly, helpful and honest men, expensive j-b weld (which was a personal tube of the staff from their own car, not the shop's!) a used tire they didn't charge me for and their valuable time of 1.5 hours= $20. They wouldn't except a tip either. These guys are saints and the work and service they provided demonstrated the highest integrity and rural Colorado values. From South Fork to Alamosa, choose the Monte Vista Co Op, you'll be in the best hands. Thanks again fellas.

If you can get propane anywhere else do it! This company in my opinion has very predatory business practices! They will find ways to charge you more! Once I did run out of propane and I hooked up a different bottle. When I did I scratched the bushing going into tank. They decided because of this I had to have my regulator replaced. I had issues with it for months before having it replaced. When the new one was replaced they commented that it was 12 years old. They installed and charged me for a 12 year old regulator that didn't work. Another time they refused to fill because they could not find the serial number on tank. They will ask how much propane you have when ordering. If you tell them less than 15%they will wait the 10 days to bring it out hoping you run out so they can charge you more. Tell them 20% and it will be there within a few days. I could tell you more.

Big smiles, friendly, polite employees with the propane and rv dump I was looking for. The tire shop checked my tires and aired them up for free. Nice people in this small Colorado town.

The price to have a tire put on rim not on the car , is 20 Iwas shocked !! Sad it used to be 10

If you need miscellaneous farm items and unleaded or diesel fuel, be sure to stop at this location. Staff is friendly for the most part as far as we know. We just tend to get fuel here.

We had a flat tire on our RV and stopped to get it fixed. The staff bent over backwards to quickly repair the flat. They unfastened the flat from the rear of the RV within seconds of arriving and had the repair done in less than 15 min! They charged a reasonable $15 and replaced the tire on the back. We couldn't be more impressed or appreciative!

We are building out an RV park in Alamosa, and spoke to the head man. He sounded positive about the business, and said he would come to look at our progress, and assess.He spoke of a rental deal on the propane tank.When he arrived, he dismissed the fact that we were going to be able to construct an RV park on our 40 acre parcel with an operating well, septic just installed, and electric coming later that week.He said we didn't have enough legal water for an RV park. ( its 75 gallons per day, per site, so we have enough water for a site every five minutes, 288 sites total with the one well)Rude, didn't know what he was talking about, and tried to scam us to buy for $2,000.My wife wanted to go ahead and but it, but I refuse to ever do business with this man.UPDATE AFTER CALL.Update on my previous review where the owner suggested we call to try to work it out.I asked my wife to call to see what they would say. I was upset, and didn't want that to interfere with anything.The woman repeatedly spoke over my wife, and in the end, despite admitting that one thing was offered, and then not, they still will only help us if they sell us a tank.Perhaps they face a lot of scammers and people who never complete their builds, but I have managed or owned my own business for 30+ years, and I refuse to do business with people treating me disrespectfully.This was the most disrespect I have ever had from anyone I was trying to do business with.

Very rude employee, kept following me, telling me, not asking me if I need to have help! If I need help I will ask! They could have had $100.00 sale or more, but I felt insulted, like I was singled out as Hispanic, even my granddaughter felt it too! And she is 11! Not going back as long as I can help it! Screw them! They are not the only store in town got everything at Big R!!

This company is terrible with propane delivery. I called these "propane professionals" 3 times to get propane to my home. They take their time by waiting weeks before they come out to deliver. When they did show up, my check was not there so they drove off without filling my tank. They did this twice and told me that they can deliver propane the same day for another $100 on top of my $200 dollar request. I told them my meter for the tank is under 15% and they drove off. I tried to use my debt card with these guys but they will have a hold on your card for $600 just for $200. Do not get propane from these crooks.

So last Friday I got billed 99.74 to my debit card. I was curious to what this was for. After my wife calling them this morning and talking to Scotty, he informed her is was for our yearly lease of the 500 gallon propane tank. We were told that the cost was $72 a year not $99. He told her it went up but we were never notified. But the real problem is that we had it installed last August and was to be on a keep full account to help with budgeting as it s easier to spend a little every month. They filled it initially about a week after it was installed and have never been back. When Ray the driver filled it he told me he would treat us like family. I really like Ray the driver but if he is treating us like family I probably wouldn t want to be in his. We asked Scotty if he would wave the yearly lease fee since they dropped the ball and didn t hold up their end of the bargain. Scotty said he could just come take it out. So when my tank is empty it will be replaced by a different company who hopefully appreciates their customers.

I've always had excellent luck with this place. The staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. My family and I have bought tons of stuff over the years from fence posts and wire to plumbing supplies. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for hardware or farm supplies and looking to support a local business.

Got an oil change there the other day and they left my cap to the engine partly off. I had oil all over the inside of my motor. Called them and they sent out 2 guys to look at my car as i live In Alamosa and they were very unfriendly talked low and were very unprofessional and made it seem like such an inconvenience when it was their mistake. The store is nice got a few things and the cashiers were sweet. Definitely don't recommend getting any auto work done there. A loose cap is an easy fix and shouldn't have been missed like that. Glad i didn't blow any gaskets on my new car.

Only trust their mechanics shop if you wish to see them again in a few weeks. I was sold a tire, new, for a tire that was "going". When I asked if it was an alignment problem that caused this, they assured me it wasn't. Low and behold, the tire, brand new, blows within a month. When I come back expecting quaility service, what do I get? "Oh, that's an alignment issue. We won't cover your replacement cost." I am more disappointed by the misleading lies and the extortion tactics of money than anything. They are friendly enough, but they will take your wallet and turn it upside down. I will NEVER return to this place, even if I should I get a flat right beside them on the street.

Have been shopping at Co-op for a long time. The service in the main part of the store has gone from good to no service.The cashier when I shopped today was very rude and acted like we were imposing on her. She acted like she just wanted us to leave. I think I will just start shopping at Tractor Supply. I will add the feed warehouse does a good job. And don't have a problem with them.

I haven't shopped there in years after my husband bought a good pair of steel toed work boots. In less than 2 weeks wear the leather separated from the toe and the co-op would not replace them. I was simply there today with a friend and waited on them in the vehicle

Tried to get propane tank filled for the last 5 weeks. They always say because of their monthly special, they're too busy to get to us. Time to see if some other company manages their time better!

Monte vista coop needs new management, and needs employees that are willing to work for there pay check. They need to improve there customer service and replace management from being racist against Mexicans. Gas station and there tire store are the only great service departments they don't discriminate.

Always friendly and helpful cahiers, a little high priced, but the quality is awesome. Went to have a key made but the person who makes keys wasn't there today. Had to go to Big R.

Lot of variety of stuff to buy. I just dropped off my dad's check to pay for his propane, so can't really say much about a shopping experience.

I called to get propane delivered to my place, when I talked to the one of the associates about delivery, he told me they will get a price for propane when it is delivered to my tank. The driver of the propane truck called me at work, told me with no check, he cannot deliver propane at all. So I called and had to reschedule for delivery. Frustrating because I am low on propane and they just said it will be delivered sometime. Looking forward to switching propane companies.

MY wife&I have been there many times in the Showtime we've lived in Monte VISTA,We feel like they've lost steam the last few times we shopped. We're finding it hard to get assistance when we need it. Now we try to get what we need when we're in Alamosa,or we tryTrue Value Hardware,or BIG R.

The young cashiers need to be trained better went in to get a refund they go we don't do refunds oh I don't know how to do a refund call somebody else they didn't either you need to train your staff better

You guys have your hours updated on the door, but don t consider changing them online? People are driving 30+ to get feed. You all literally took the time to make a template on Microsoft, typed up the paper stating your closed, but didn t have time to update your hours online? Serious time Management issues.
