Diagnosed and explained what was going on, what needed to be fixed and what to watch out for in the future. If they can't repair it they offer advice where to go. Very reasonable and fair. Trust them with all my vehicles.

Scott and Eric run an outstanding business. It has a very personal feel and totally professional outcomes. And great shop dogs! I've had a number of mechanics with all my cars over the years, but the older I get, the more it means to me to be able to just hand it over with total trust. Gateway Auto is among the best. All great so experiences so far. Eric and Scott are honest, helpful and kind. They re always looking out for the customer best interest and economics even if that means less work for them.

1000 miles from home on a vacation my car broke down in Lyons. A friendly local suggested Gateway and Scott by name. The next day they were open they fixed my car for a very fair price, and my family made it home safe. An all around amazing shop, kind people, cute shop dog. Thank you again Gateway Auto!

Very honest and helpful. They explained in detail what was going on with my car, what they recommended, and where to go for work they were unable to do there. I am very appreciative of their honesty and kindness. Will definitely bring my car back for service!

I had an oil leak on my truck. I was recommended by a friend to get it fixed here. I would highly recommend Gateway Auto Services. Great experience. They got my vehicle in quickly, communicated timely and accurately about the cost and my options (no hidden fees upon arrival), and had the work done cleanly, quickly, and correctly. It was a great experience all around, and I would highly recommend. My wife also said she appreciated that Scott spoke to and looked at her, apparently that hasn t always been her experience. Great shop.

Integrity and Honesty.Good to know there are still are businesses based on Principles rather then be blinded by profits. There was a communication glitch regarding the service for my vehicle and the degree to which this shop went to "make it right" astounded me and made me a customer for life. Bottom line, you can trust Gateway Auto for your repairs and maintenance.

Eric at Gateway saved the day! After a failed attempt to figure out what was wrong with our vehicle and another mechanic charging us $100 for nothing, we brought our vehicle to Gateway. Eric looked at the vehicle, free of charge and let us know that our clutch needed replacing. He was honest and upfront with the cost and had the best price around. We brought the vehicle on a Friday night after hours and it was done by Monday afternoon. They were fast, friendly and honest. I recommend them to everyone and they are definitely our new mechanic's shop!

Scott and his team at Gateway Auto are more than just excellent and efficient mechanics, they treat you like family. They are beyond trustworthy and have helped save me money and extend the life of my truck. Don't take my word for it, just take your car in and judge for yourself, you wont be disappointed.

I had Gateway do an oil change and replace all four brakes on my Mazda. Everything was done on time and at a fair price, great overall service.A few months later it was leaking a little oil. When I called, they said bring it right in. It was a gasket out of their control. They replaced the gasket, serviced the oil again and even repaired a fog light that had been dislocated months earlier. All at no cost.This is why they get 5 stars from so many people, they provide great service with honesty and integrity. We will continue taking all of our vehicles to them.

Had a great experience here. Guy has been in business in Lyons for over 20 years, working as a mechanic for 30, so that s got to say something. Was able to get me in and out on the same day, without an appointment and paid a reasonable price.

Gateway has worked on my cars for 4 years and my better half for over 6. Great shop, honest, reliable what else can you ask for. They do great work and the prices are very reasonable. I won t take my vehicles anywhere else!

The best automotive shop in Lyons. If you live out of town as I did when I started with Scott's Kelly's shop Gateway Automotive at that time. Then I moved here and have utilized his shop ever since. They are very kind and generous with their time.If you are out of town use George's Towing and they will bring your Auto straight to Scott & Eric's shop. Gateway Automotive Group goes up, and beyond for anyone who needs help. Believe me!

This is a great company - Scott and his team have done some great work for me in the past and I never thought to review. Last week the made suggestions that cost them profit to help me out when it was appropriate - I asked them to take a look at the driveline oils in a recently acquired used vehicle that supposedly had those fluids changed, and they confirmed that the fluids looked brand new, no change required. Standup people, great service, no BS. If only every business did it this way...

Scott is great as well as his son and thenother guy. We brokedown with our fifth wheel (bearings and breaks) and they were swamped with their own work but he took us in and got us back on the road within 4 hours. Thanks Gateway

Saved on eclipse day!! These guys jumped to the rescue within minutes of my call. My car battery was dead and my battery pack/jump starter didn't have enough juice nor did the van that tried to help. These guys worked magic and got it to start with in seconds. Easy going, knowledgable and kind...if I lived in Lyons these would be the guys I would work with.
