2/9/24 Update: I wanted to write a quick note to express how grateful I am to have worked with and the crew for my Promaster. I was so happy with how the build out went and found you the team to be kind, attentive, and patient with me throughout the process. What I was not prepared for is the outstanding service the team has been providing for the past few years.I've had a few things come up with my rig and I always get a fast, clear, personal response from the team. I was caught a little off guard a few weeks ago by a nasty winter storm in Portland and had some damage in the van (my faucet basically exploded) that the team was able to help me sort out and now our van is functioning perfectly. I can't tell you how meaningful it is to have a team of experts available who can help formulate a plan that is within my capabilities to keep our van running for years to come.Original review - We worked with the crew at Rossmonster to build our dream van and it could not have gone better. The team was incredible throughout the initial consult, design process, build, and even post-purchase support. Communication is critical to us when choosing a crew to hire and Rossmonster over-delivered.We worked closely with Luke, one of the founders, for months on the design to get every detail right. Poor Luke had to listen to me debate on exactly where to put every hook and switch and he did so with exemplary calm! He was patient, good humored, and always open to our suggestions while being willing to provide an opinion grounded in his years of expertise.His partner, Ross, was always there to talk through the practicality of our build and how best to accomplish our vision. They even custom-designed the ceiling system so that we could install the Pendleton wool fabric we were hoping to include. Investing the time and resources into this van was a big leap for us and we could not have chosen a better crew to partner with to turn our vision into reality. The van turned out even better than we imagined and we are so stoked for the many adventures to come.

Summary: Rossmonster built my van, and I am extremely satisfied with the result. I highly recommend them to others seeking a beautiful and functional van build.Detailed Answer: Truth be told, my wife was a bit hesitant about my idea to buy a van and travel North America exploring (i.e. National Parks and other points of interest). In a moment of insight, I figured out that a premium fit and finish would help me to avoid my wife rejecting the solution. If the van looked or felt cheap, my wife would lose her interest in sleeping on occasion in a van pretty damn fast. I chose Rossmonster because of their background as expert wood workers and because their products look great. I think I made a great decision for us.When I started getting serious on my van project, I made of list of all the companies performing adventure van conversions that I could find (~50). I reviewed their websites to find the most experienced, most reputable, and most likely to be able to deliver my vision. I paired that list to about 10 van conversion companies and moved forward with sales consultations. I narrowed that list to two and visited the factories, and I ultimately selected Rossmonster. I have not had a moment of regret since doing so.Luke Farny, one of the owners, was my point of contact. He is a master relationship manager. Unlike other companies who would frequently categorically reject one or more of my ideas, Luke s posture was more of a partnership. We discussed all of my ideas. Most he accepted and incorporated into the plan. Some he offered alternatives and why he suggested them. One or two he strongly advised against and provided an explanation for why. Consistently when talking to other outfitters, I felt like my ideas were steamrolled for their vision which was not mine. That never happened with Luke and Rossmonster.One of my favorite things about Rossmonster is that they act from a posture of good faith. The contract is simple and in plain language. I can sense no insincerity when I speak to Luke. Everything was on the level. No games, no agendas other than building great vans for customers. I appreciated the completely straight-forward approach. We never had a problem, but I am very confident that we could work through it based on how they have interacted with me.As a business owner, I also noticed and appreciated Rossmonster s approach to their business. Rossmonster had my van for just three weeks. They were mostly finished in two. With thorough planning, they set themselves up for success with a quick build. I spoke to many outfitters than needed 2-3 months to complete a build. After watching the Rossmonster team, that sounds crazy.The bottom line is that I made a not insignificant investment in an adventure van and found a truly outstanding partner to help me achieve my vision. I strongly recommend the team at Rossmonster for your adventure van build.

We had checked out several van conversion companies before seeing photos of Rossmonster vans that hooked us. Loved the interior spaces full of light, wood cabinets and creative layouts. We briefly toyed with buying a pre-built model they had available at the time, but instead began working with Luke on a custom build. So glad we did. With his design help, we fit a long bed, roomy garage and good-sized kitchen into a medium-length, high roof Ford Transit. (In the garage, we ve tucked two mountain bikes and cycling gear, camp cook table, chairs and tons of other stuff.) Every question we asked got a quick answer. Particularly appreciated that Luke and Sam kept us in the loop during the build with photos and emails. The finished van is a beauty. And we think the Rossmonster crew is awesome!

When I decided I wanted a camper van, I researched and found info from over 20 van conversion companies ranging from coast to coast. I narrowed my choices down to 3 and contacted them. I am so happy that I chose Rossmonster Vans! From my initial emails with Sam and then multiple phone conversations with Luke, I felt confident working with Rossmonster long distance from Missouri. Luke was extremely knowledgeable and patient explaining options to me to ensure that my van had everything I wanted in a design that made sense for how I want to use it. Throughout the design and build, they were professional and communicated each step of the process. When I went to pick up my van, Luke went over all the functionality and Sam videoed - for which I am eternally grateful! I can say that the craftmanship and finishes are perfect. The crew at Rossmonster Vans know their stuff and I would recommend them to anyone interested in a custom van build.

We brought our design ideas and feature list to several big name California, Oregon, and Colorado van conversion companies. It felt like most of these shops were only prepared to build half of what we had in mind. We heard a lot of we don t do that and saw a lot of builds that looked more like a mobile dentist s office than a camper van with character (no offense to mobile dentists out there).We approached Rossm�nster Vans with our design and blueprints after falling in love with their Scandinavian-inspired craftsmanship, and dedication to their client s vision. We also loved their story featured on their website.After a quick phone call with Luke, we knew the team at Rossm�nster were excited to make our ideas come to life and they were confident we'd love the finished product.We bombarded the design team with tons of questions during the build process and they always handled our concerns like the pros they are. We cannot recommend the crew at Rossm�nster Vans more highly for your custom build! We were looking for a van that can transport and sleep 4, and rented their 'Modern 2.0' for a little test run. We loved everything about it and were hugely excited to get on their build schedule.There was hardly anything we wanted to change about the design it's perfect! and worked with Luke to select materials and equipment to make ours our dream van. And when we ran into major scheduling delays due to an MBZ recall, Rossm�nster was so generous and flexible in working with us to accommodate our new schedule and make our build happen.This crew is super professional, organized, thoughtful, detail-oriented, experienced and has great taste! We are thrilled to have our new set of wheels and home for 4 (plus dogs!) on the road. Our van turned out beautifully, and the team at Rossm�nster has remained committed to our dream van even after they delivered allowing us to pop back in to make a few tweaks and implement a few new ideas after we've had a chance to enjoy our rig.We send a huge thanks to everyone at RM! We love our van.

Working with the Rossmonster team has been a real pleasure. Luke and Andrew were both very professional and responsive. Their construction process is well structured and predictable. Committing and delivering during the pandemic was a challenge for all organizations, but I was truly impressed with their ability to deliver our dream van.The team really cared about our needs and always came up with great solutions. Having used my van for 2 months now I can say that their construction is of high quality and their after sales service is also exceptional.Thanks again and long life to Rossmonster team!

We chose Rossmonster based on web photos and how responsive Luke was. We have not been disappointed! They work very efficiently, completing our buildout in 3 weeks as promised even during the covid pandemic. They were in excellent communication during the buildout and had innovative proposals to meet our requirements.We love the results! We have tons of storage in 4 large drawers and 2 closets. They were able to work smoothly with the pop top we had separately installed. They were priced very competitively and steered us away from some costly options that wouldn t have best met our needs.We highly recommend Ross Monster Vans!

The highest compliment I can give someone I hire for a job and to whom I pay my hard-earned money is "You make me feel like I am your only client," and I found myself saying that to the folks at Rossmonster Vans repeatedly.The attention to detail, willingness to build an entirely customized van with unfamiliar materials and parts, and flexibility of scheduling given the supply chain nightmare was something I could only hope for from the very best in service and construction. The communication throughout the bidding, design, and build process could not have been any better. I am very particular with details of what I envision, and translating that to folks isn't always easy. The way that Luke and Andrew made me feel like the only person in the room when speaking with them, as they were entirely able to picture my vision in their own heads, made me feel confident in my decision to choose Rossmonster from the dozen van builders I considered. While I was worried the scale of their operation would be detrimental to my project (they have a full staff and turn out a lot of vehicles), I was pleased to learn that it actually lent itself to a more streamlined and efficient process, with plenty of room made to account of the customized nature of each vehicle. When the van I ordered directly from the manufacturer didn't arrive a YEAR after making the order, Rossmonster worked with me to find an alternative solution, even having warehoused the build parts for my van for nearly that long, completely without complaint. As I changed my mind throughout the design process, they never once flinched or expressed frustration at my indecision. And one of the very best characteristics that I experienced was their affirmative attitude, never hesitating to express their informed opinion but also always saying "YES, that is possible, we can make that work" to even my wildest ideas.The van they just built for me is the third van I've had built, and after only 6 weeks of using it, I'm confident in saying that I know they'll be available to help me solve any issues that arise down the road, and I would recommend Rossmonster to anyone building a vehicle--including myself.

We were so impressed by Rossmonster from start to finish. They were good listeners to our requests and came up with a design that fit us perfectly. Communication was excellent throughout the process. They even finished the buildout ahead of schedule because they kept thinking ahead, which is no small thing given todays supply chain shortages.The craftsmanship and quality of materials is excellent. Our builder and carpentry friends were amazed at the care and attention to every detail, both visible and structural.We would highly recommend Rossmonster to anyone who is looking for a quality custom buildout.

This team is extremely professional to work with and the final output of my van has impeccable craftsmanship, especially the attention to detail with the cabinetry.Luke and team are highly communicative throughout the entire process, making it so enjoyable while also being patient and making me feel heard with my requests/ideas. Luke and the team at Rossmonster are top notch. Responsive, flexible, and creative, their woodwork and van upgrades are a step above. Luke made the design process simple and enjoyable as he helped us through multiple design trade offs with thoughtful insight born of experience and passion for the craft. Long lead material purchases were executed flawlessly, and final production was smooth and efficient. A very challenging last minute design issue caused by the vehicle manufacturer was handled by Luke and the Rossmonster team in stride. Their creativity and willingness to manage design risk resulted in a durable modification that is both slick and unique. I am the very proud owner of a high quality Rossmonster van. I highly recommend working with them on your next conversion project!

This is an incredible company. My wife and I were complete novices in building our custom van, but they made it extremely easy. They were on point through the entire process. They were patient, courteous, and VERY helpful. There was no request or change that they weren't eager to include, change, or modify. The detailed work and craftsmanship is amazing, and you can readily see they are proud of their work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rossmonster Vans to anyone. This is an outstanding company.

The RossMonster team was fantastic to work with. From design through completion, the process was very professional. Luke and the team worked with us very closely through the design and multitude of choices that need to be made. Pictures were uploaded throughout the build so we could track the process. We took the van out this weekend for the first drive and we re all smiles. RossMonster backs their build with a solid warranty and are there to answer questions as needed. Anyone interested in a conversion buildout should look no further than RossMonster. We looked at a number of firms and are very happy with our choice. Thank you Luke and Team!

I m not one to laud praise, but I would highly recommend Rossmonster. I m on the east coast and did a pretty extensive search for an upfitter to do a full custom build for me. In the end, I decided to drive out to Colorado to have them do it, and I couldn t be happier that I did. From concept to finish, Andrew was great to work with and straight forward the entire time. The build came out great - what they do with 144 s is pretty unrivaled from what I saw in my search. They were extremely supportive in the handoff and I feel very good about having them as a resource for service throughout the life of the van.

Once we visited Rossm�nster Vans and saw their work firsthand, we signed on, knowing they would build the travel van of our dreams. So...full disclosure here. We are super picky and detailed. After all, this kind of project is a big investment. These guys delivered! They are responsive, skilled craftsmen and engineers! They took such care to really hear what we wanted, then created our dream van within budget and on time. They even helped us to find a van when our local dealer was unable to get our allocation. The beauty and functionality of the final product exceeded our expectations. We plan to use it for all of our travel, but it has everything you need to live in full-time for years, if that is your goal. Throughout this process, we had the best experience!

Ross, Luke and Sam and all the install crew did an exceptional job on our Sprinter van customization. We had been talking with Rossmonster for a long time on what it was we wanted. They were very patient as I changed my mind more than once on how we wanted this to look. Their level of expertise and craftmanship is exceptional. We could not be happier!!

The team at Rossmonster was an absolute pleasure to work with. They built us an entirely custom RAM ProMaster 159 Highroof, designed for full-time living.From the first phone call to the van delivery, we felt a strong level of trust and confidence in the team. Their knowledge of the build process, different layout options, components and their ability to speak to pros and cons of each really helped to put us at ease. They took the time to thoughtfully and thoroughly walk us through all of options, rather than just telling us how it was going to be. These guys get it - they asked all the right questions about how we plan to use the van and what special needs we have for storage. Together, we developed our dream van.Their background in woodworking really shines through in the quality of the cabinets and countertops and their ability to problem solve in building in such a small space. We had a very tight timeline for production and they delivered the finished product right on time, as promised.This was a big investment for us and we are very glad we worked with Rossmonster for the build. Highly recommend these guys for all of your van building needs.

I contacted and received quotes from several different van build companies and am so very happy I went with Rossmonster. They were not the lowest price, but their work was incredibly high quality, custom, and I am stunned at the level of patience that the guys had when I would voice my vision and then recreate it over and over again. Through every little change and adjustment I offered, their response was always so welcoming, "Yep, we can do that". They are "yes" guys. It is clear they aim to please. And pleased I am. My van turned out so beautiful, and perfectly functional. There were a few issues that occurred after build, but the guys were quick to get me in the shop for the necessary fix and responsive to my questions about how to troubleshoot and use the systems. I could not be happier and not recommend them more highly. A+ all around. Excellent craftsmanship and top notch customer service. It was a true pleasure working with them.

Throughout the entire process, Rossmonster went above and beyond to ensure our van was perfect for us. From finding an elusive 4x4 Sprinter, to multiple calls dialing in the perfect design, to our endless stream of annoying follow-up questions, Luke and the Rossmonster team have been awesome.We immediately took our van on a 1,300-mile trip home from the Rossmonster shop and didn't find a single thing we would change. The attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into our Van is incredible. We would recommend Rossmonster to anyone looking for an amazing adventure vehicle.

I haven't actually had work done by this company, but I did visit the shop and speak with the designer on some design ideas. This review is based on those experiences.Customer service was stellar. Great communication, timely responses, enthusiastic and passionate staff, and willingness to work with pretty much any and all design concepts I came up with. They were knowledgeable and honest. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them if they are a good fit for you.

We contacted Luke Farny back in November for an initial consultation of the entire van build process and what we could expect from Rossmonster.Luke guided us through the entire process from day one answering every question we had as well as calming any fears.Luke was always available to jump on the phone at a moments notice to go over the design and make changes along the way which there were several.We dropped off our Van just before Christmas and Rossmonster had us ready to roll by Feb 9th 2019.My wife Patty and I couldn t be happier with the way the van turned out and the friendship we formed with Luke and Rossmonster.We highly recommend your talk with Rossmonster before your next van build.

We just got back from an amazing trip with a Rossm�nster Vans rental. Cannot even say enough good things about this company, their products, and the people running it. The van was absolutely perfect for our family - felt like camping in luxury up in the mountains! Our 2-year-old had a blast and was quite sad at having to return the vehicle after getting back. Highly recommended!

Long distant relationships can be iffy at best... not so with Rossmonster Vans. Constant communication and the knowledge of what would best fit my needs made the whole experience stress free. If #vanlife is what you want then I highly recommend them to make your dreams come true. They not only made mine but exceeded my dreams!
