I never write reviews, but I had the worst experience with any business ever with Best Auto. They held on to my truck for over two months with very little communication. Each time I called they said "they are working on it." Finally, someone at the shop told me the truth that they hadn't even started working on it even after it had been there for 6 weeks. And then they finally said they were done with it, the truck still had issues. When I brought it to another mechanic, the issue was a simple fix that Best Auto didn't manage to find (changing the fuel pump/ cleaning the fuel filter). Again this was a terrible terrible experience. Please don't go here.

They've done work for me in the past, the quality was good, they did do work - and then charge me for - work we had not agreed on. I wrote it off then as honest mistake. Most recently they came off as legitimately dishonest, claiming causes for issues I don't believe were true and quoting far too much for a pretty simple job. Based on some other reviews recently, I'm glad I did not leave my truck there. I will not be going back, ever.

We are from Michigan, traveling with our horse. We lost a wheel bearing on our truck. Chris is working late on a Saturday, and coming in on a Sunday to get us back on the road as soon as he can. That is the best service, coming in on his day off to help.

Best Auto shop we have ever been too. Before we came here we had a different auto body shop fix a simple repair which they ended up majorly messing up our vehicle and If it weren t for Best Auto Repair of Longmont, we don t know what we would have done. They saved us. They were amazing to work with, even given that our Subaru needed some major and timely work done they did it efficiently and helped us out with the best and affordable price to fix it with no hidden fees. We don t know what we would have done if we didn t have them fix it. We will be forever grateful for all of the hard work that was put in to getting us driving our car safely again. Tara and Scott and everyone there were so friendly to work with and gave us straight answers about everything that was needed! We are Geo Massachusetts and had spent the night in the fairground. We had our oil changed a week ago in Scottsbluff, NE. Now the heat shield is loose and vibrating something aweful. We pulled into Best Autoamd they explained that they were extremely busy. But the manager said let s go look at it and see if we do a quick fix or if you should make an appointment and return. The gentleman looked at it and said he could fix it with zip ties and we d be fine till we get home. He reassured me that it was fine. And we are off to more exploring of this beautiful country.

Couldn't recommend Best Auto Repair enough. I recommend calling ahead of time to speak with Shanti at the front desk, she will set you up for success. I was able to call and get in the door to get work started faster than anyone else could offer.Chris and the mechanic staff do beautiful work and most importantly will tell you exactly what is going on with your car. No smoke and mirrors or having anything unnecessary done to your car. You get the feeling they just want to help people and happen to be mechanics.The waiting room is incredibly cozy. I brought a book and sat on the massage chairs (they also have popcorn and a coffee bar).I will recommend anyone I know to get their automotive work done here. For me it is all about trust, and I genuinely trust this company and staff. After an accident my tow company made a mistake and had it towed to this garage and plopped it right in front of one of their bays! They were delightful, helpful, and patient with me and even helped me get my plates off of the car the next day. 100% recommend their kindness and service if you're looking for a shop run by good people.

My Xterra's suspension and brakes we completely shot, I had a safety check done from another shop but it was fishy. So I spoke with Shanti, and her and Chris both expressed concern about what was actually happening. They were able to fit me in right away to get it checked out. Turns out they were right!!! The entire team treated me with respect and truly cared about the safety of my vehicle.The work they performed changed the ENTIRE performance of my car and I couldn't be more pleased. To say they've gone above and beyond is an understatement. The waiting room really is awesome, completely unlike most mechanics! The pups are incredibly sweet too! It's difficult to trust people in general, let alone mechanics.. the people over at Best Auto truly live up to their name. They're the best. I strongly advise against working with this auto shop. During my initial call I gave three issues that we wanted checked out, specifying that we knew there were other problems with my car but these were the three we wanted to start with. They performed a diagnostic on my car that I did not request, without asking and without letting us know they would be charging us $170 for it. We also felt their estimates for the work we'd asked to be done were steep, and chose not to have them handle it. I cannot speak to the quality of their repair services, but I can say they are willing to disrespect and take advantage of new customers.

Best Auto has always been fair and reasonable, and they do quality work. They could improve communication as it seems that I often have to call them to get status on a repair. Overall they are a pleasure to work with.

Most honest and fair prices in town! They will never fix what isn't broken! Chris (the owner) lives and breathes cars! Most experienced mechanic in Longmont! His Dad, Scott, works the counter and phones. He's also awesome. Chris's wife Shanti does the books, phone & customer service. She is also very friendly and just "all around" great!They go the "extra mile" to make sure your vehicle is fixed correctly and the Customer is satisfied! Nice comfortable waiting area. Big screen TV.So if you need a mechanic I highly recommend Best Auto.If you're a single woman you can rest assured they will only fix what's needed. Nothing more!Thanks for reading my review.

I'm a single mom and my very old, decrepit minivan wouldn't start. Best Auto worked with a local church group and provided discounted services to help me get my car up and running again at a time when I am experiencing a gap in income. I'm beyond grateful for their quick and quality service. Both Scott and Shanti were extremely helpful and kind. Their waiting room is mentioned in other reviews and for good reason! It's decorated in a Route 66 retro vibe. There's comfortable chairs (which I witnessed being cleaned) a fireplace (what?!), TV, water, Gatorade, Popcorn, Microwave, etc. There was a well behaved adorable pup napping in his crate, too. They are awesome. Have my 2001 Toyota, 2005 Subaru and 2010 Lexus worked on for steering, transmission, brakes and general maintenance. They have taken the time to diagnose before jumping into a repair. Never overcharged me (have actually been given discount on labor costs). The owners care about their business and care about their customers. I don't usually remember how much I paid for the repairs or service, but I do remember the experience and Best Auto has been a place I have turned to for my cars. I went in on two occasions for a wobbly feel on the steering and a cushy brake, both times they diagnosed before fixing. On the latest instance they even accommodated my car to be checked the next day and not wait for weeks! Best Auto has fantastic service. They do good work and best of all they stand by it! I took my Highlander in to get some axle work done. When some transmission issues popped up soon after they stood by their work and fixed those. Chris (the owner) & Scott (Chris's Dad). They are awesome! Very knowledgeable about engines and everything to fix on them.Very honest. If your someone that doesn't know cars you don't have to worry about getting ripped off!I'll never go anywhere else!

My family has used best auto for a long time. I just started using them again after the pandemic. The customer service is excellent and the rates are very reasonable. I also really loved the waiting area. Out of all of waiting areas I have been in while getting my car worked on, Best Auto's is by far the best. It was very clean, comfortable, and they even have good drinks and popcorn. It is very nice to wait in a comfortable environment while you are getting your car worked on. I highly recommend them as a great place to get your car worked on!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

Dropped my car off the day before Thanksgiving for a 6 hour job. It is now dec. 1st and nobody knows when my car will be done. Ive missed work and training for my new job. Ridiculous.

I have taken my car to Best Auto since 2011 and I've had nothing but excellent experiences. They've done the majority of repairs on my car and are so reliable and honest. The last few car issues I've had, I've talked to Scott AND HE IS WONDERFUL!!!!!! Today I called and spoke with Scott. I had a leak, and they are of course busy with other customers. However, Scott said if I could get to the shop soon, he'd take a look. They looked at my car, detected the issue, and had my car fixed in LESS THAN 1 HOUR!!! I can't believe he took care of my car in the same day, before the long Labor Day weekend. Scott is so great, and the customer service at Best Auto is COMPLETELY UNMATCHED!

They were super communicative, and quick. They were able to help me within 24hrs of dropping my car off for a new clutch, and various other replacements. I felt listened too and beyond taken care of. My father has been going here for years and I will now be a new forever customer for as long as I m in the area. A family member's car broke down one afternoon in Longmont on the way elsewhere. Best Auto Repair of Longmont was extremely helpful in scheduling a repair on short notice. Great service experience. All employees were friendly and helpful during interactions. I was warned that the shop was very busy and my repair could take a while to get going, but Best Auto managed to get my transmission fault diagnosed and repaired well before the initial quoted timeframe. Will definitely continue using Best Auto for my vehicle repair needs.

This shop is like no other I ve been to before. This is a family owned shop with not only great technical service, but also awesome hospitality that you just don t experience anymore.Chris, the owner and also technician, is willing to explain things and take his time talking through the service. You re not just talking to some service advisor , you re talking to the guy that really knows. Where other shops makes it seems like you re wasting their time, this place takes the time to explain things. I not only experienced it myself, but I was waiting in the lobby when I overheard his conversation to another customer.I do most of my auto repairs and maintenance, so I kinda know what I m doing and talk tech, but some things are just beyond my toolset. But Chris is even willing to give me tips and advise before sending me in my way to make sure I do it right! You just don t get that kind of hospitality from businesses anymore.Leaving my car at any shop gives me anxiety as you just never what corners people are willing to cut. From what I ve experienced. this is a place I can feel safe and secured with knowing my car will not only be in competent hands, but also honest ones.HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Called Best Auto requesting a pre purchase inspection. Shanti and Chris got the car in same day and gave me a thorough explanation of what the car will need plus other dealerships in the area they recommend. I wont hesitate to use them in the near future. I would definitely recommend visiting Best Auto!!!

Best Auto Repair in Longmont? Yeah I'd say that's true! Chris and Shawntee (god I hope I spelled that right) are super nice, they answer all my questions and some.Even talking to their mechanics made me feel like they treat their employees right and not just the customers.10/10 couldn't recommend them more.
