I had the motor and clutch replaced in my 2013 Fiat 500. Though it was an expensive repair, the shop and Shelly were easy to work with. They were honest and upfront on all the needed repairs.Shelly updated me regularly on the progress as the car was being worked on.The repair took less time than expected and after driving it a little over 100 miles so far, I have had no issues with the car since getting it back.I would highly recommend Hinsdale Automotive.

Darrel and the team at Hinsdale did an excellent job. Honest and thorough evaluation of the issues I was having. The repair were done in less time than expected and at a fair price. I will continue to trust Hinsdale Automotive with all my maintenance and repairs.

Absolutely everything I expected from Your dad s mechanic ! Shelly and Darrell were extremely professional and great to work with. They completely rebuilt my front end and the price was extremely fair! This is the best shop I found and will be using them from now on. I would highly recommend them and will be sending all my friends and family to them for any future car repairs! Finally a repair shop with old school morals and service!

WRNING!!!!!! DO NOT take your car here! My friend took his truck here and it didn t get fixed so he had to bring it back and it sat in the lot and then got STOLEN!! The owner said he was not liable because there aren t any fences! There were no signs or no forms that were signed stating the company wouldn t be liable for theft! He trusted them with his new car and they not only didn t take care of the issues but it was stolen from the lot and he didn t hear about the theft from the company, he had to hear about it from it from the police! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARS HERE!!!!!

Yesterday was the first, and probably last, visit to this shop. I was told over the phone that an oil change would be "about $100". However, the bill came to $168! When I asked about the discrepancy, I was given a less than accurate explanation that the price for oil had gone up this week. After pushing a little, it turns out that even before the price hike in oil, I should have been told the oil change would be about $150, not $100. Waiting until after the work is done to let me know of a 70% price increase doesn't feel like the right way to do business. They have a lot of good reviews, so I'm inclined to believe they just had a bad day. But it still left a bad taste in my mouth.

Hands down the best experience I've had with a mechanics shop. I have a 2016 lincoln mkx and my defrost wasnt working. It can get tricky when you have a newer car, and need to get into the dashboard to access things. From start to finish this team was knowledgeable and communicative in a friendly, professional and timely manner. Darrell got me set up right away with an appointment and was great at communicating and listening. Mark made me feel comfortable as it can be scary sometimes not knowing what to expect with repairs, and was awesome at answering my questions. Thanks Mark! My car was fixed in a timely manner with fair pricing. They knew right away the problem and didnt go around the tree and to the sea to get there, like some places do.(Thanks Clint, I didnt meet you, but you were listed as my mechanic who fixed my car. As a bonus, when you fixed my defrost you also fixed ambience lighting in my cupholders that I was unaware I even had because they didnt work, but now do... Thank you! :) )Thank you so much for making my experience smooth and easy guys! It's so valuable to me to know that my car is in good hands and taken care of the correct way! I will be ONLY taking my car here for anything and everything in the future, because I'm truly grateful to have found a trustworthy mechanics shop.

Took my Jeep Cherokee to check the AC and add refrigerant. Worked for 2 weeks. Then back to blowing warm air. I initially had a 5 star review and decided to update with the actual results. They did text me to see how things were going and I told them the fix lasted 2 weeks. Never hear back.

The guys at Hinsdale Automotive gets the job done right. Did a great job on my 94 F-250, including carefully explaining the job and cost up front. Very happy with the result. I brought my daughters 2003 Ford Escape in for a front drivers side wheel bearing replacement. Hinsdale made quick work of the job and provided a very detailed description of additional work that might need to be done in the future with zero pressure to do the work. Hinsdale is proof that honesty and integrity can be a foundation to build a business upon. Daryl and the team are phenomenal. Another local repair shop forgot to reinstall a very important bolt holding my ballpoint to my control arm. Luckily nobody was hurt but my vehicle was disabled. Daryl came to my rescue, he towed my car to his shop and presented the original repair facility with an honest quote, even they were surprised. With no hassles, I was quickly back on the road and happy to have faith restored in a automotive repair business. Thank you!

I found Hinsdale on a phone search. They had very good and current reviews. I needed to have my A/C checked; this was my first encounter with this company and these individuals. They discovered problem quickly and fixed it. This is the kind of organization I wish was the norm and not the exception. These guys are AWESOME! I feel very fortunate to have found them.

I can t say enough good things about Hinsdale Automotive! Their service is exceptional and quality is always to be trusted. In addition, I had a circumstance where I was heading out of town for a funeral and accidentally put washer fluid into the coolant. They went above and beyond to help me right away, and made sure things with the car were safe before I left. They are the best of the best!

Would not recommend them. They don t stand behind their work. The messed up my husbands truck and we have spent thousands of dollars at a different shop getting it fixed. Very disappointed!
