What a fantastic experience. I brought in my jeep in one thing, which was going to be pricey, but Chuck quickly diagnosed it as something else, related, but half the price. Chuck communicated regularly throughout the process and the repair was quick, at quote, and the jeep has never driven better. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

This place is amazing! They treat you like family.My husband and I were on our way out of town for our anniversary and the trunk of our car wouldn't open. 1 call to Dettmer and they said to come right in. 10 min after we got there the car was fixed and we were told "Happy Anniversary" and not charged. I trust this company with all our cars and even more!

This shop is trustworthy and they know their stuff. Receptionist is amazing, and super friendly. They get busy so sometimes It may take a couple days but it's well worth it. Both times I have brought my vehicle here the bill has been less then expected. Give them a try, then don't let them go!!

This review is long overdue. I had found out that my 2015 Jeep Cherokee needed a new engine after the dealership found metal flakes were tearing up the insides of RJ engine. Knowing that the car market currently is terrible I went on a search to find someone to replace my engine since the dealership was asking over $15k. I had looked at places offering remanufactured (also called box) engines, but I was lucky enough to find Josh at Dettmer after calling 10+ other places. Josh was very knowledgeable and patient with me since I had a TON of questions. I came to know Valerie Dettmer via phone and she was super pleasant while also dealing with my questions and inquiries. The process took a bit, but it saved me several thousand dollars so I ll take patience over money in this case. Thanks again for the phenomenal work!

I have been taking our cars to Dettmer Automotive for 8 years. They are super mechanics and they're great people. Our cars have been of all models and years and Chuck and his crew always take care of us. If you are looking for great, timely work at a fair and honest price - these are your people! I highly recommend!

Josh and the crew over at Dettmer are amazing! We moved to Oregon back in May and had to leave my truck and most belongings in CO. While I lived out of state, I mailed Josh a key and he went to where my truck was stored and took it back to his shop to work on it. More amazingly, they were able to get my truck (1995 Toyota T-100, no less) ready for a 1500 mile, trailer pulling road trip on a super shoe-string budget (super honest, no pressure). Always come through for me, they're the best!Great at letting me know what we need to do next to keep my happy old rides on the go, and always at good rates too! Loved them for over 10 years now and counting on many more!! I'm real picky about who touches my rides and usually experience "going to the dentist anxiety" when I have to take them somewhere, but NEVER when I drop em off at Dettmers! They know their stuff.

Ive worked with Dettmer auto since 2016 and they are the best mechanic shop I've partnered with. They are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and easy to work with no matter how big or small the repair has been. I highly recommend them if you are in need of a reliable mechanic

I was satisfied with the work performed on the vehicle, but as a paying customer I would expect more communication from the shop. I was the one reaching out for updates every week for six weeks until the service was finished. Initially I was told it would only take two weeks, but that it was there a long time due to supply chain issues. However, that doesn t support the lack of communication overall.

I drive old cars. I don't have car payments but I need a competent, trustworthy repair shop to keep my cars moving. I've worked with several shops in the area including the local Ford dealership and none have come close to providing the expertise and work ethic I've found at Dettmer. John and Val are the owners and they are great people who are serious about service. And, they don't just slap parts on and send you down the road. They work on the problem until it's fixed correctly. Most importantly, they don't charge outrageous rates; the work is well done and fairly priced. They have my business for as long as their around!

I found Dettmer from a referral and am thrilled with the results!I had a lot of problems with 'death wobble' and loose suspension components on my 2004 WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee. Chuck got everything fixed up while prioritizing necessary/critical repairs, and holding off on items that really did not need to be done right away. I appreciate a shop that can be honest and straight forward with repair suggestions, and not try to sell you the moon every time you walk in the door.I will definitely be coming back here for all of my Jeep maintenance needs. And would definitely recommend them to anyone else!!

I've used Dettmer Automotive for my vehicles for many years now, and their work has been exemplary. They have excellent technicians and they are very pleasant people to deal with. I have sent my parents, my adult children and even my brother to them for repairs and now they are all loyal customers as well.These are genuinely nice people.

I just got a new car and wasn't sure of what the problem was. I was referred to this shop by my girlfriend, and am very pleased with the service that has been provided. I feel confident in the future that any of my vehicle maintenance will be properly diagnosed and repaired. I recommend this shop to any people who are looking for a trustworthy mechanic and great customer service.

Dettmer Automotive, was referred to me by a relative; hence the reason I went. Of course, anyone who has car troubles has questionable doubts on the shop/mechanic on a topic of whether or not they are knowledgeable & trustworthy. Dettmer consist of both and even beyond. I recommend this shop for mechanic needs. The time to get in may be the only downfall, however waiting may be the best thing now days, hence the awful shops/people that are out there to jive you over; I can assure you this place wont. They were professional while taking my car, the mechanic was very informative and my car is running super good.

Dettmer Automotive is an amazing shop! I was in a pinch due to some shoddy mechanic work from another shop and time constraints. Josh went above and beyond to fix the problems and get me on my way! Its hard to find knowledgable and quality mechanic work these days but you can definitely find it at Dettmer! You will not be disappointed!Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

Had my engine for my 2000 Ford Ranger replaced here. They were very helpful in not only finding a reasonably priced, remanufactured engine, but also much faster and cheaper than I had expected. Additionally, when I showed up to retrieve my engine, the mechanic happily showed & explained why it died in the first place. 4 months and 5000 miles later and the engine is running great.Would absolutely reccommend.

I am from the Milwaukee area and developed a substantial drivetrain issue while visiting family. I was referred to Dettmer Automotive from a shop who wasn't able to perform the needed repairs and Dettmer Automotive along with Chuck and the shop technicians far exceeded my expectations with the quality, professionalism and the timely repair. The final repair charge was not only less than I was expecting but compared to the Milwaukee area was a good 50% less than I would have been charged back home. To Chuck and his crew a truly heartfelt thank you.

I brought my vehical here for a head swap and had a terriable experience. Customer service was ok but the work performed ended up costing me to buy a new engine. Even though they ruined my engine I was still charged $180.00 for the unsuccessful repair. I am verry disappointed with the way they handled everything in the end and I would think twice before using these guys.

Excellent mom and pop business, with expertise to do work from oil change to engine replacement. Costs are reasonable here!

They stick to their work and are honest mechanics. I have used them several times, and will in the future. They are also much faster than other mechanics I have hired to help me when I did not want to DIY or it was out of my expertise. Worth the money, Dettmer.Nick Teti, Highlands Ranch CO

Three auto repair shops worked on our 1990 Jeep Cherokee: engine over heating continued to limit driving until Dettmer repaired this Jeep at a cost that was less than each of the other three non performing repair shops.Don't rush the Dettmer team; they will repair your vehicle correctly and at a reasonable cost

I am do glad to have found excellent mechanics that are honest. I have an older Jeep Wrangler and boy do they know jeeps!
