I'm always happy with my experience at Mark Greene Automotive. I've been coming for years and continue to do so even after moving a ways away. They still recognize me, even when it's been a while. They're always very respectful of my budget needs and have never been pushy about any services, unlike most other places I've been to. I frequently recommend them to people. It's a huge relief to feel like you can trust your mechanic! I'm always happy with my experience at Mark Greene Automotive. Oh my gosh, I will never go anywhere else! I had my car towed in on Tuesday afternoon to have the radiator replaced, and it was done mid-morning on Wednesday. Ron couldn't have been more helpful and informative. I kept calling with questions, and he happily answered them all. I highly recommend them, you can't go wrong.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff! Will definitely use this shop again!!We have an older car that needs some TLC. After speaking to 2 mechanics, we have chosen Mark Greene Automotive to get the car up to par.

I AM A HUGE FAN! I ve been taking my 98 Tacoma to Mark Greene Automotive for a decade and I could not speak more highly of them. The team is knowledgeable and honest and frankly, just awesome human beings. This team always takes the time to educate me and walk me through the process, I always feel safe and confident that I will be well taken care of and that my vehicle is in the BEST hands. This place is great. Very kind and trustworthy. A bit pricier than other places but they do things right.I brought my mazda3 in for an engine light showing that my coolant temp sensor was not working. Mazda has a computer update on that part so they had someone come in and do the update. It didn't fix it, so they replaced the part. I paid for both of those services. My engine light came on again after that, so they then replaced the part TWICE for free and after that still didn't solve it, they rewrapped the wiring so that it didn't overheat. This finally solved the problem. They were kind and answered all of my questions along the way, and the fact that they serviced my car 3 times for free because they weren't able to fix it was amazing. Friendly and convenient. Staff was willing to explain the condition of the vehicle along with some critical maintenance items and things to be aware of in the future. I love those men. Great service keep me informed about my car the whole time. This is the only place I take my Jaguar for repair. Great work at a fair price. I recommend Mark Greene Automotive to anyone and everyone. Every time I have need work on my car they have done an excellent job. I'm very happy with them!

This repair shop is very trustworthy. They show you pictures of everything wrong with your vehicle and show you the price of repairs up front. You get to choose which services you'd like completed and they offer an honest opinion of items that must be fixed and items where you have a little more time before repairs are required. I will definitely be coming back.

We feel so lucky to have such a great and trustworthy mechanic in our neighborhood! Mark Greene's shop has been our auto mechanic for several years now -- on two older vehicles. They have always done good work, have fair pricing, and won't charge you for things you don't need. They have always been very flexible and have finished the work in the timeline they promise. Zero complaints!

I love Mark Grenne Automotive. They have always treated me right and when I take my car in for regular checks and maintenance, they do the best job out of any shop I have ever gone to on showing me (with pictures) what they are doing, what they are checking and what needs to be done now vs. what can be held off for a little bit. I have no problem having them do work on my vehicle because it is quality work at a great price.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I want to give a huge shout out to Mark Green Automotive Repair in Lakewood on Mississippi and Lamar streets. I have been there before and they ve always done great work. A week ago I bought a car from a dealership and there was a strong gas smell inside the car. The dealership couldn t figure out what it was. I took it to Mark Greene and not only did they do a 20 point inspection for free but they figured out what the smell was coming from and found a warranty for me to get the work done at a Ford dealership. Jonathan was amazing, very professional, very helpful. I just can t recommend them enough!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Every time I've gone to Mark Greene, I've had an excellent experience. Whether it's a routine oil change or brake replacement, the guys here always do an outstanding job. The prices are always fair for the work, and they will often warn me when they notice something that will need replacement or repair in the near future. The best part about Mark Greene is that I never feel pressured to repair something unless it's absolutely necessary.If you want a trustworthy mechanic who works at fair prices, let Mark and his crew take a look at your vehicle.

We took our older model car in to have the brakes done.They notified us that we still have a lot of ware on our brakes and told us nothing needed to be done.It's nice to know that they don't take advantage of customers.They also do complete diagnostic testing so you can decide which repairs you need to plan on having done.

I ve been coming here for a few years now. I never feel like I get the run-around and never feel like they are trying to exploit my lack of knowledge about my vehicle. The staff is always friendly and willing to explain and answer all of my questions. My only two complaints would be, first, the first time I took my vehicle here, I was advised that my car would be done by a certain time. When I returned, I was advised that the work hadn t even been started yet and that they were shorthanded. To be honest, I wasn t upset that it wasn t done, I was frustrated because I was told a certain time with no phone call to let me know it had changed. I understand if they are shorthanded, it could be difficult, but a 2 minute call would have sufficed. Second, I go on a cross country road trip about once a year. So, I usually ask them to do a once over to make sure everything is good, one main thing being lights (headlights, tail lights, brake lights, plate lights, etc.) I don t need any reason to get pulled over while traveling. But, each time I ve asked, something was always missed. I m not overly upset because I know it s a lot to ask, but it s still a bit frustrating. A lot of those things are difficult to check with one person. Overall, they are great and helpful and I d definitely recommend them.

Edit after owner response:My dad has already approved the work, seeing as he owns the vehicle it is his decision and I respect it. I did not know that you were looking for the best part to replace it with, I apologize, my dad omitted that part. (That is enough for me to change my rating, seeing as I had a different picture, I still feel like it s important for folks to know that you guys manage premium prices for premium jobs). Not having a car for more than two days is extremely detrimental to my livelihood, and my dad doesn t want to see me struggle. We are getting this work done, because as I had said before, we want to support a family owned business. I cannot afford it, thankfully I have a dad that cares about my wellbeing. After re-reading my review I realize I added unnecessary flare, and so I fix that. I made the original review out of frustration, please have that in mind.Edited original answerI wanted to give this place my business because they are family owned, but they have overcharged me (I see now that it is just a premium service that I was unaware of) for the last time. I have been a customer for three years and always have a very frustrating experience but sucked it up because they did an ok job and it is a family business. This is my last straw, I cannot urge you enough to save your money and go somewhere else if you are an average joe. They have quoted me double than what the job costs anywhere else (I didn t know they were getting the best parts for my vehicle). My car had to be towed there (seeing as I have always trusted them with my vehicle) so it felt like they were taking advantage of the situation. Would highly recommend not going to this shop. Recently brought a vehicle in with starting issues. They did a $800 fuel pump replacement just to have the car not start again the day after I brought it home. Had to bring it back to find out that they had replaced the wrong part, and it would be another $200. Customer service was very poor when confronted with their very costly mistake, and they took no action to make the situation right. In fact the owner himself came off very smug and condescending. Do yourself a favor and find any better mechanic who will be able to properly diagnose your vehicle. They are very slow at contacting you about what is going on as well. Often had to reach out to them to check on status of my car. Seriously. Avoid this place if you want good care and service. (In their response they also say this other bad review from Jerry Hanes is my father. I have never met this person. It must be someone else who thinks they have awful service) You guys are a joke!

5 stars isn't nearly enough. My experience with Mark Greene Automotive Repair has been simply outstanding. Honest, friendly, and reliable - the cost for my repairs came in under the estimate I was given and they've been able to fit me in on short notice and complete the repairs ahead of my expectations. I highly recommend this shop.

We discovered Mark Greene auto not too long after moving here in 2010 and have been going there for most every auto repair since. They have always been honest and up front with us and pretty quick too. We have brought things in to them on a few occasions and they have ended up telling us we didn't need as much done as we had thought (or didn't need anything done) - the point being that they could have done an unnecessary repair to get the money and we probably wouldn't have known but they chose not too. We definitely trust them with out auto repair. Also they are about a 25 minute drive for us but it's worth it to us for a mechanic we trust!

I have been taking my cars to Mark Greene for many years. Not knowing a thing about cars myself, I am so very grateful to have found a mechanic that can be trusted and is honest to the core. I've had old cars and newer cars over the years. In my older cars, when a repair was going to cost more than the benefit due to the age of the car, he would say so. He could have done the repair for the revenue, (I'd have never known), but that is not how he does not business . I would recommend him to anyone without reservation!

I took my car in because my brakes were squeaky and I was wondering if the pads needed replacement. They took a look and told me that my brake pads did not need replacement and that the noise was just from debris on the brakes. Not only did they not try to sell me something I didn't need, they also did not charge me for their time. Highly recommend!

Came in for a second opinion on my brake system and I m glad I did. Jonathan was very helpful and professional. I explained my issue and he inspected everything for me. I was able to feel confident in the diagnosis I was given and overall I saved money by not having to replace my entire master cylinder. The work was also completed very quickly for just dropping in. I will be returning here for future work, and definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for an honest mechanic.

Mark Greene Automotive is truly The Best! I took my vehicle there and found their team to be extremely professional, prompt and accommodating! Tom did the work on my car and he will definitely be my go to mechanic from here on out! They are The Best and I can't wait to tell everyone I know!

In the past I had really good luck with this repair shop. This time I had something wrong with the electronics for my windows and I was quoted a price for about for $425 to replace the door electronic master switch. I found it on the internet for $35 and my husband installed it. I paid $125 for the diagnosis which I suppose was fair but then it would have been a $450 to $500 bill when it was really a $35 repair. I'm a little concerned that they don't do more to find parts that are the best price. They were very helpful and polite.

Not recommended & not BBB accredited. I was quoted a price for a job I thought I was getting done. I found out after the fact that the quote was only for part of the work I needed done. I was misled by the salesman & paid a ridiculous amount for a rear brake job. In addition, the mechanics missed critical issues with the front breaks that now is costing me more money to get repaired. We also took another to them at the same time & we were told that it was fine when it actually needs multiple issue repaired. It seems the mechanics at this shop don't really pay attention to everything and what they do pay attention to is super overpriced!!! And reading other reviews , I expect to get a response that is defensive and not one of a true business that wants to make things right with anybody!This is a response to your comments. As I expected it would be a series of explanations and a little bit of smug sarcasm such as the treatment I received from the guy who works your counter. I brought my car in to get both front and rear brakes done. When I received the quote for my brake job for $350 to do the pads I assumed it was for all four brakes which is what I had requested. I was shocked to find out in the aftermath that you guys charged me $350 to install rear brake pads. Seriously?! I may be a woman but nobody in their right mind would agree to pay that kind of price to do one set of brakes . I would even be a little pricey to do front and rear brake pads for $350 , but I agreed because of the convenience of your location ! Everything else since then has been a joke. You are a joke your employees are a joke, your business overcharges and underworks! I will be happy to find an honest home because it's definitely not with you!
