We limped into Lake City in September with a definite brake issue (after being reassured by our mechanics at home our vehicle checked out). Rene and Brett determined our rear brakes were trashed and managed to fit us into their schedule and saved our trip!We can t recommend them enough to anyone needing service!

I had a flat tire while camping about 40 miles away and one of the locals recommended Renee's to get it fixed. I drove up there and dropped it off and while I ran an errand at the other end of town, his mechanic Brett (very nice man) fixed while I was gone and mounted it when I returned. The whole repair time was less than an hour. I was delighted they could do it so quickly as I was there from Denver and didn't want to spend all day to get it fixed. Also it was clear that they had other cars they were working on. Renee and his entire staff were very pleasant to work with and for a fair price.

I just wanted let everyone know what a great outfit Rene's Garage in Lake City, Colorado is. Our 2005 Chevy Colorado broke down in Lake City. We called Rene's garage and they immediately sent out a tow truck to pick it up. They diagnosed the issue the next day and had it fixed the day after that. I was very impressed. Getting parts in a place as remote as Lake City is not an easy task. They were friendly, helpful and professional.Then a week later I received a check from them for $150. They said in their letter to me that they had overcharged me. I never would have known.These are the type of people you will want to do business with.If I could give more than 5 stars I would!Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Incredible service! I was worried when my jeep started leaking fluid while on vacation in lake city for a week. The man who helped me was extremely quick to see me first thing in the morning. He diagnosed the problem, gave me peace of mind, and provided me with what I needed to make it back to Texas. Very fair and I highly recommend.

Broke the leaf spring on my little travel trailer just outside Lake City. Went to this shop and asked for help. He said he wouldn't work on it because it's a hassle. I then suggested that I drive to Montrose and get the parts to reduce his trouble and have him just turn some wrenches. He refused. Aweful customer service and zero help for someone in need. Got some tools from Walmart and got the job done myself.

Rene helped me out fast! We took my car in because the brakes were smoking on our way in from Texas. He had my car ready in a few hours and took good care of us. We are thankful!

Had a great experience with Rene. Woke up to a completely dead battery and no way into town. Rene was there in 30 minutes to install a new one and get me back on the road. He even topped off the coolant for me.

I overheated my brakes and fluid driving into Lake City, CO. I called Rene s the following morning and Rene got me in at 1pm. He finished bleeding and changing brake fluid within 45 minutes. The service was exceptional and the price was more than fair. When I return to Lake City, I would schedule preventative maintenance with Rene s garage. Thank you Rene and BelindaService: Brakes

I got a nail in my tire on my way to Lake City, and got in too late on a Friday to bring it to a repair shop. I saw on Google that Rene's Garage was closed on Saturdays, but thought I would head over first thing in the morning to see if anyone happened to be working. I'm very lucky I did! Rene brought me right in, and fixed my tire in under 10 minutes. He was very courteous, thorough and honest, and very reasonably priced. It was working like new in no time. I got a flat tire when visiting Lake City this past week - and this garage was super helpful. They let me borrow their portable air tank (since I wasn't too far away) to fill up my tire so I could drive the car to the shop to get the tire repaired. Then my tire was repaired within 40 minutes of bringing my van in to the shop. I was lucky they were able to help me so quickly!

I was vacationing in Lake City and had to have some work done on my breaks and shocks. It would have been easy for a garage to take advantage of an "out towner". But what I found was directly opposite. Rene was very concerned about getting just what I needed. He is a pleasure to work with. He is honest and gets the job done right! And they are very dog friendly there. Even gave my sweet Ellie dog treats. So if you are in need of great service in Lake City, Rene's Garage Inc is the place to go!Service: Brakes

Our batteries died on us day 2 here in town. Called Rene and he had some!! Rene truly saved the day! Would much rather spend our money supporting the small businesses here in town while we are here. He had me in and out quickly. After a conversation about ny husband riding to Black Bear, they were concerned and texted me to let me know Black Bear was open ;) great people great business!!

Rene to the rescue. Burned up the brakes driving through the mountains. Rene and crew were able to order parts for a complete new brake system, repair, and get me back on the road within 24 hours, even with a garage full of other repairs. I was passing through town and blew the idler pulley on my truck. Rene was able to trouble shoot the problem off of photos I took and get the parts coming before we even got the truck down to the shop. Despite the shop being extremely busy with one tourist emergency after another (me included), they dropped what they were doing and got me in the queue right when I walked in the door. Couldn t be happier with the service and I m thankful that other peoples reviews of this place pointed me here.

We broke down, just before Lake City. We managed to get our truck to Rene's garage, where we we're very well taken care of. Rene was able to determine that the turbo went out on my truck, and was able to get it fixed, while we enjoyed our vacation there. Great shop, and amazing service. Thanks

We had a leaking tire while camping. Tons of vehicles on the road and in his yard but when we drove up and asked if he could repair a leaking tire, he stopped his repair work, jumped right on the tire and had us back on the road in 20 mins. This is a remote, touristy town but his prices and service beat anything I've ever encountered.Service: TiresService: Tires

Wow, what a great garage! I went in to install some snow tires on my Honda Insight, and I requested a diagnostic for some weird dash indicators that seemed unrelated to each other. Rene discovered a rat had chewed through the Mass Airflow sensor wire which was illuminating the warning lights. The diagnostic, repair and tire mounting was completed in under two hours...fantastic!! Be advised there is no waiting area at the garage - but that's no problem here. Just wear some good walking shoes, and go explore the great little town of Lake City while you wait!

In June 2017, we stayed at the Puente Cabin.....awesome stay BUT we had 3 flat tires in 2 days!! Being from Arkansas we had no idea where to go for help...came across this place via google. Rene was super nice and very helpful!!! He ordered us new tires at a reasonable price and patched one tire!!! I highly recommend Rene's Garage!!!!

Rene opened after hours to assist us with our flat tire when the garage that was open just down the street wouldn t help us over an hour before their official closing time. He was extremely professional, courteous, and efficient. Without Rene we would have been stuck in town overnight. Thank you so much.

If you need help in town run to see Rene. Dont go to the other shop in town. Rene is much more organized, knowledgable, helpful, and will not act like you are doing him a diservice by simply showing up.Overall a good honest guy to deal with.

Our a/c went out before the drive back to Texas and we were able to order parts and finish repairs fast. Friendly and efficient service! Saved us from hours in the car with 100� weather! Thank you, Rene!

Rene and his team were awesome. Fixed a flat for us for $40 and got us rolling back on the road in 30 min. Would highly recommend!
