I wasn t expecting the bill I was quoted - but loved the fact they had photos and explanation for all the needed work. Also love that they provide a warranty on all their work. They got me in and out of the shop more quickly than I thought possible. I will definitely continue to do business with Christian Brothers!

Great experience, very kind staff. They were upfront and detailed about the work that needed to be done and listed it from most important to least important. Randy even fixed my fob for free. Their office is quite inviting as if everyone who works there. Noticeable difference in how my jeep is running. Will definitely get future work done here.

Highly recommend getting 2nd opinion on any work or price. CB said I needed coolant flush and new spark plugs. Got quote from other local shop - $50 less for coolant and $322 less for plugs. Yikes. Had other shop do work, BUT they said coolant clear and good to -50 so no need. Also plugs not really needed quite yet but I had them done since doing long road trip soon. Double Yikes. Buyer beware.Last time there had oil change and tire rotation. Had coupon for free TR. When I dropped off car asked if coupon now or later - guy said he would take now. Later when paying he charged for TR, I had to remind him of coupon. Either did not keep with my ticket or ignored. Triple Yikes.

I have been taking my cars to Christian Brothers Automotive for a few years. They have always serviced my cars while I wait and have usually had my cars back to me in a little over an hour, for basic maintenance like oil changes.I recently had an electrical issue with one of my cars. When I brought it in, the staff listened to me description of the issue I was having and the proceeded to diagnose and fix the issue quickly. The staff has always been very kind and patient and I recommend their services for any kind of car maintenance or repairs.

I've been going to Christian Brothers for years now, for both of my vehicles, and have always been happy with the service and level of professionalism they've shown me.One of my recent visits has reinforced my opinion of them.Back in August I took my 2016 Jeep to them for routine maintenance prior to a planned road trip, as well as diagnosing a coolant leak I was experiencing. Upon my first visit to them they were not able to locate the source of the leak, but took care of my other routine needs prior to my trip. A day or so after this visit, I was still experiencing a small leak, so after speaking to them, they asked me to bring my vehicle back in for a second look, at which time they did locate a small coolant leak.A few days after this leak was diagnosed and fixed, I still was experiencing a small leak. After speaking with them over the phone, they asked me to bring the vehicle in again for another look to try and locate the leak. Unfortunately they were unable to see anything that was causing this leak or any evidence of a leak. Once again, a few days later, after still noticing a small leak in my garage, I again, brought my vehicle for them to look at. Once again however, nothing was visible to them, and they even brought me back into their service bay to look with me.At this point I'm sure I was annoying them and they thought I was crazy. After this last visit, I decided to place an oil drip pan under my vehicle (should have done this earlier) where the leak always occurred and I was able to catch the liquid. After I was able to take pictures of what I had caught, I called Christian Brothers and spoke to Carl who asked me to send him the pictures to himself personally. Now that I had physical evidence this leak was still occurring, Carl and I spoke on the phone and decided that the leak was still small enough that I would be fine taking my road trip without worry, and to keep an eye on the leak and we would revisit this after my trip.Fast forward 3 months. I was still experiencing a small leak but I was finally now able to visibly see where the leak was coming from (dried coolant on a hose directly above where it would always leak below.) I once again called and spoke to Carl who asked me to come in that day, and once he was able to see the location of the leak, told me he would order the part necessary to fix it and once the part arrived would get it taken care of for me. Once the part arrived I brought the vehicle back in, and Carl had it taken care of for me, at no extra charge from my original visit all the way back in August. All in all, as frustrating as this sequence of events was, and even tho I'm sure my persistence annoyed them a bit, they were good to me, especially Carl who took his own time to speak with me over the phone after hours one day, to make sure this was taken care of. So I would highly recommend giving them a chance to take care of your vehicles needs.

When I dropped my vehicle off on Monday, February 26, 2024 @ CBA-Lafayette, Colorado location, I was thinking it would be a while for the mechanic to replace two parts but the call came back quickly which was a good thing. I really appreciate the speedily service without any issues. I give them five stars !

The customer service is amazing, from explaining the work needed to following up after the work was completed. Unlike many auto repair companies, I always feel good leaving CB, confident the work is well done and that I only paid for what I needed.

I ve used Christian Brothers services in several states and this is the only shop that was disappointing. Very disorganized, the attention to detail to the service (wheel alignment) was terrible. I had to bring in the truck three times. They somehow messed up my door lock and wanted to charge me $260.00 for a problem that happened at the shop.Polite, yes. Very much so. Subpar technical services and I would recommend a different location.

My truck battery died down in Denver, & I had to have it towed the next day while I was at work. Out of luck, it ended up at Christian Brothers Automotive because it was near my home in Lafayette. Carl was in touch with me when my truck arrived, and throughout the entire process. I needed it for work the next day and they were more than flexible and efficient with replacing the battery. I will definitely be returning here for future car assistance!

They re good guys here and have good mechanics. Only had tie rods and alignment done but they checked over my car and provided legit recommendations, such as brake fluid change which is one of the last maintenances I needed done. Appreciate it.

I will never work with Christian Brothers Automotive again and do NOT recommend this place to anyone.I visited Christian Brothers in Lafayette when my check engine light turned on. Given that my car is older (2001), I explicitly mentioned upfront that I only wanted to incur minimal costs. I did not want to put a lot of money into the car and if it would be too much I would be selling it. I was assured that they would not perform any work that would lead to significantly more expenses for my car. However, the initial estimate of a few hundred dollars to adjust some valves escalated to needing a new timing belt, a scenario I had explicitly inquired about and was assured wouldn't happen.Despite being pushed into the costly timing belt replacement (over $1k), as I left the shop, I noticed a loud rattling noise. The shop provided conflicting explanations, blaming me for rushing them, insisting it was normal, and also faulting me for not replacing the timing belt sooner. Ultimately, after they re-did the work following proper protocols, the noise disappeared, highlighting their initial error (without any acknowledgment of fault).Within 5 miles of leaving the shop, I encountered another issue (that hadn t been happening before) my car shook when idle. Returning to the shop, they denied responsibility and suggested paid fixes that might resolve the problem, again without acknowledging their role.Upon raising my concerns with the manager, Joey, I was met with extreme rudeness. I sought a discount (or honestly an apology) due to the prolonged duration, multiple returns for issues, and poor communication leading to unexpected expenses. Joey dismissed my concerns and accused me of lying. He also changed his tune multiple times in the same breath to lie and say his workers were blameless. I will also mention that in the midst of work being done, I had my dad call the shop, and he was told conflicting stories than I was being told. The shop told him that they had explicitly informed me of certain things and that I was confused. It is unacceptable that as a woman, I am spoken to differently than if I have a man call, and I am automatically blamed for misinterpreting scenarios.I will never return to Christian Brothers Automotive and strongly advise against it. The experience was unsatisfactory, marked by dodgy practices, false information, and dismissive customer service.

Bad Faith, Worse Workmanship (Christian Bros, Lafayette, CO.)Date dropped vehicle at Christian Bros Automotive: 10/20/23Date picked up vehicle: 01/15/24BACKGROUND INFO. My mother had used this Christian Bros for minor maintenance for a couple of years. So we towed a Hyundai Genesis to Christian Bros to replace blown head gaskets as diagnosed by Hyundai dealership just 4 days prior (which this car was towed to & from Hyundai also). Christian Bros was approx. $2,000 less to change head gaskets so we elected to use them versus dealership. Car was shut down when overheat warning came on and allowed to completely cool. Car was running just fine, less overheat indication when we dropped it off at Christian Bros. There were no external leaks, coolant level was maybe a 1/4 inch low max.ISSUE: Our car was at Christian Bros for nearly 3-MONTHS to replace head gaskets. During this 3-months they also threw out 2 parts of the engine that prevented them from reassembling/running it which took 2+ weeks to get replacement parts. Ultimately, they replaced the head gaskets, put the car back together & final step (so I'm told) was for them to add coolant to the cooling system. They called & said while filling the coolant the fluid was significantly leaking from passenger side aft head. Options they gave us were (1) take components and/or heads back off to see if they can repair whatever the issue was we pay for the extra parts/labor, (2) we replace the engine with used or new plus the labor, (3) we pay $1,800 & they give us the car completely reassembled & allegedly as I brought it to them (only with new head gaskets). After 3-months, excuses for why they hadn't or couldn't fix it & losing parts that prevented the car from running, we had lost confidence in Christian Bros' ability to fix our vehicle. We opted to pay the $1,800 & seek other professional, and possibly, legal help. In the end, we towed them a vehicle that you couldn't tell had any issues. No leaks, ran perfectly until hitting operating temps. They gave us a vehicle that barely starts, has an extreme exhaust leak, sounds like a 1920's engine and is undriveable with so little power out of a V-6 it couldn't even back up our driveway with a slight incline to park in the garage. We gave them the car running completely normal (less the overheating when engine reached high temps) and they gave us back a completely useless vehicle.THE WORST AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR EXPERIENCE IN 30+ years of owning cars. These guys are apparently incapable of fixing a sandwich, much less a car, in my opinion. They should stick to the easy stuff like oil, filter and brake changes. Save yourself the hassle, time and money. Go elsewhere...!

I had done business with them for about 3 years or so I am guessing. They have always been quick to service a vehicle. However, the last two visits were an eye opener for sure. I went in for a oil change and fuel filter change on a truck with almost 90,000 miles. I had done this same service multiple times since owning the vehicle since day 1. Well, can you believe they tried to charge me almost $300 more for the SAME service I had done with them and the dealer multiple times. They eventually caved on price, but I put up my red flag then. Today, I was quoted $1,700 for a service to a different vehicle. When checking around, they were $400 more than the Ford dealer and $500 more than another shop I have faith in. If getting a vehicle serviced quickly at a large price is your thing, go for it. If you want the same service at a much cheaper price...check around. They have lost all of my business for good as I won't fall for a strike 2 or much less a strike 3!!Also, the communication from the customer service rep was sent to me via text IN ALL CAPS! Why the need to yell!? How about some communication training 101?

Friendly enough staff, however that is completely overshadowed by incompetence and overpriced labor. Would not recommend for any work more involved than an oil change.I originally brought my vehicle to Christian Brothers due to an issue with shifting. Thinking it was likely transmission related I brought it here because they claim to be transmission experts . After a slow inspection process where they looked over everything but the issue I came in for, they finally offered to do a tear down inspection of the transmission. Quoting me at $500 I agreed. Turns out the tear down only encompasses dropping the transmission pan (involving only a few bolts to remove) and checking the fluid. I had communicated previously that the fluid had been recently replaced in a last ditch effort to solve the shifting problem, so the fluid was new and wouldn t give any insight into the issue. Having communicated this I expected the inspection to do something more than just check the fluid. Regardless, they claimed to have inspected the transmission and determined it was not a transmission issue. Instead, they convinced me it was in fact the catalytic converter.Trusting the experts I went ahead with the replacement. Following this expensive part replacement, they contacted be saying it still wasn t running right and needed new spark plugs and distributor cap. In hindsight I should have tried to test drive the vehicle at this point to see if the catalytic converter actually even made a difference or they had just taken advantage of me by suggesting a high cost part to replace. Also, the welding job on the new cat was terrible quality. Anyways, I was wanting to get my vehicle back in running condition so I put trust in these mechanics (sounds stupid now) and went ahead with the next round of fixes. Im not sure how they came up with this but spark plug replacement cost $700, which is ridiculous. After multiple delays and false promises of timing throughout this whole process I finally went to pick up my vehicle. Driving away (still could see the shop) the check engine light comes on. I turn around but they are just closing and I have to come back in the morning. The following morning I return and they test-drive it. Eventually they say it s the O2 sensor which will continue to trigger the check engine light when going over 50mph. This is concerning because it shows they never test drove the vehicle to over 50 after working on it. It seems like it should be expected that if they tell you it s fixed that they have actually made sure with a proper test drive. After the O2 sensor was replaced I had spent ~$3500 at the shop over the course of a couple weeks. Thinking everything is good to go I set out on a road trip. Not even 70 miles in, I completely break down with an issue related to the original reason I brought the vehicle to the shop. When getting towed back I called Christian Bros to see if they would stand by their word and get the vehicle to the running state they claimed it was in. The only thing they offered was to bring the vehicle back in so they could work on it again at full price. After spending so much money with them and seeing their incompetence in diagnosing, testing, and resolving issues I didn t trust them and took my business elsewhere. If you need any serious work done on your vehicle, take it somewhere else. They will just lead you along with overpriced fixes that aren t necessary and fail to solve anything.

Hands down the best experience I ve ever had with a mechanic shop. Shout out to Carl who helped me out! I had driven to Lafayette to visit family, and on the way there, my car started making a loud noise when I accelerated. I ve had a couple problems with it in the past, and after having a family member look at it, it was clear it probably wasn t going to be a simple fix and I needed to get it looked at before I drove the 250+ miles back home. I called around to a few other shops that said they couldn t look at it until after I was supposed to leave town. Christian Brothers was able to get me in that day, and they were extremely understanding of my situation being from out of town, and they were very concerned with getting me back on the road on schedule if at all possible. They were very thorough and the communication was top notch. I especially appreciated the inspection report that they send explaining any problems they find. They were also more than willing to answer my questions and clarify things for me without talking down to me or making me feel stupid. I was worried that I was going to be stuck in Lafayette longer than expected, but they were able to get it fixed the same day, so I was back on the road the next day as planned. And I made it home just fine, no loud noises coming from the engine! Highly recommend them for their amazing customer service!

Great if you tell them exactly what to do. They'll charge you a Fortune for their guess and check repairs. I came in with my car intermittently lurching on idle. At first they thought my fuel system was dirty and quoted me near $3000 to clean the system. I took it somewhere else and another mechanic suspected the EGR valve. Their tech here agreed after their own diagnosis and I paid $550 for a new EGR. When the issue persisted, I brought it back, their only thought was the EGR they got was bad, so they replaced it again, when that didn't work they replaced my condenser ($1100), when that didn't work they wanted to fully rewire the car saying it's an electrical issue. They didn't tell me a price but it would be well over $1000, on a $6500 car. I pulled my car out as they had it in their shop nearly a week and left with my car having the same issue, several unneeded parts, and a hole in my wallet that I didn't want. I don't care if it's their investigative method. And having their reports say it's a "starting point" or they "recommend" a part doesn't justify their shoddy diagnosis (all 4 of them)And their way of "doing right by me" was offering to electric tape some wires if they could hold my car over the weekend. Will not be coming back, and won't recommend them for anything other than routine maintenance
