Garbage! Store manager was 0 help! Didn t even try to help! Just brushed me off like I could just magically drive off! Like I just needed the stubs replaced! But I m assuming he doesn t know much about cars because everything he listed that was a red flag wasn t the least related to the main issue! I d recommend going anywhere but here!

I'm not one to normally share negative reviews, However, H & R Repair and Towing desperately needs to improve their services, including their customer service. My daughter lives in Johnstown & took her 2019 Subaru to H&R for a coolant leak in Nov/2023. They said they fixed the coolant leak, then after she left her check engine light came on, it had never been on before, they didn't check her fluids at original visit or do a safety inspection. She took it back in, they did an oil change, she drove the car for 1,100 miles during the week, after the oil change & hose replacements. The car overheated, she pulled over, had it towed back in due to the hose they originally replaced coming off, since the clamps were not properly installed. Now her cylinder heads have blown due to the hose they installed blowing off. A four year old car with a blown engine due to their negligence. We've made attempts to contact the owner, resolve this in a respectful and responsible manner. Donna, who answers the phones refuses to allow us to discuss this matter with Larry, the owner. She has been most unprofessional each time we've attempted to reach the owner, yelling at us, hanging up on us, when we were being very calm in our attempts to get answers and resolve this. My daughter has the paperwork from each time she had her car there & 3 mechanics have now stated negligence on the part of H&R, after checking out the car/hoses/clamps/paperwork. She's also attempted emailing to get this resolved, with no accountability on their part, as calling trying to discuss the issue in a reasonable manner has been impossible. We are left with a 4yr old car with a blown engine due to the horrible choice to have H & R work on this car. Sadly, we trusted a local small business to be honorable & provide quality work. Now they refuse to do anything to accept accountability of their actions or even discuss in a professional manner.

Such a great staff works here! I always know I can count on them to take care of my personal car and my work car! Love everyone here, definitely recommend them for car troubles and if you ever need a tow! They're super fast and great at what they do!

I am so unhappy with this company at the moment! I called AAA to get a tow as my vehicle overheated and was told by AAA that this company would be there to get me and gave me a specific time. I sat in my vehicle and waited for over an hour when I decided to start my vehicle and drive it up the street to the gas station so I was in a more safe place as it was starting to get dark. I called H&Rto let them know that I had moved the car since I still had not heard from them. The person picked up the phone and informed me that he wasn t coming to get me because of some tow laws with Wyoming. Understandable but also really unprofessional to not give the customer a Courtesy phone call to let me know he wasn t coming! The person was rude when speaking with me as well. What a waste of over an hour waiting just to be told they re not coming.

Super frustrating that I took my 435i in for a repair on my tire, which they did in fact fix that. But my husband confirmed if it was okay to come close to closing or if another time would be better and they told us to come in. Did a rushed job and ended up scratching my brand new wheels twice, told us yeah it slipped and then proceeded to charge us full price after expressing how upset I was with the damage. I understand mistakes and I m usually very graceful but it lines up with the service expressed on other bad reviews.

Absolutely horrible to deal with! It s one of those small town garages that tells you one thing and does another. Lied about the time to get a tire, quoted the wrong price. Charged us to mount the tire, but all they did was put it on the rim. I still have to put it back on my truck. Said it would be ready Monday. Still putting it together on Wednesday and charged us for mounting and shop consumable fees. SCAM shop .rude and complete lack of customer service. Go ANYWHERE else if you need work done.Service: Tires

You can do better! I took my vehicle in for an oil change and the technician failed to replace the filter correctly. All the oil ran into my garage. When I took my car back the next day, they lacked accountability and urgency with the issue.

Was told on the phone they'd have no problems towing the vehicle where I needed it to go. Driver got there and told me not happening and had a horrible attitude.

I recently visited this shop for the first time for an oil change, and what I thought I needed to be done, which was an alignment. I was 100% expecting them to try to upsell me or lie to me about needing additional work done. I was SOOOO happy when Donna called me and told me they had inspected my vehicle and did the alignment and oil change and that fixed my issue. She did not try to sell me ANYTHING additional! To top it off, it was SUPER affordable! It is hard to be taken seriously and not be taken advantage of as a single woman at an auto shop. I will be coming here from now on. Highly recommend!! Technician, KT literally pulled up into the parking lot rolled down his window. I walked to the tow truck, 5 ft away from the tow truck. He rolled his window up and drove away. Then I called AAA and in the notes it said Subaru of Loveland would not release vehicle. The technician wasn't on scene for more than 2 minutes and never even exited his vehicle to ask any questions. Lazy excuse, Very bad service would not use unless you want bad service

Their technician Christopher was sent out to fix a flat tire and ended up damaging three out of five studs on my vehicle when calling the supervisor, the supervisor was like I find that very hard to believe I would not use this place at all! They are a scam ! They don t care about their customers! Christopher said he was going to pay me back for the damages he caused to my car and then blocked me and stopped contact.

My little one accidentally locked the car with the keys inside while with her grandmother. Emergency services recommended this company to help, two men came to help about 10 minutes after calling. They were able to get the door open quickly and without damage. They also seemed like really nice people who genuinely wanted to help. They charged us very little. We were very appreciative.

Our vehicle broke down and we thought it might be the water pump but my husband wanted to get it diagnosed before he did the work...sadly he chose this shop and we got ripped off! Our vehicle was running worse when we picked it up then what it was when they towed it. Luckily an HONEST mechanic looked at it and actually fixed it. Save your money and don't take your vehicles to these crooks!

H&R refused the tow and failed to call me to let me know. I had to call them to find this out. The driver also lied about my vehicle having no tags. I was with the vehicle and nobody ever came by.Definitely DO NOT use H&R.To answer the response below .My problem is with H&R.If your driver had called when he was on the way last night, I would have been there and able to show him the vehicle was legal.AlsoYou never canceled with AAA as they still had you as the tow service as of 9 am this morning. They also had no idea you canceled.

The tow truck driver, John, caused significant damage to my vehicle when he towed it. When I tried to talk with him about it, even though he admitted that he had caused damage, he said he was not liable for the damage. He said that cars sometimes get damaged during tows. Umm, there was no damage to the front bumper but the damage he caused included destroying half of the front bumper (gaping cracks pieces), damage to the body of my car around the wheel well, and it appears that the rotor was broken as well. Instead of being reasonable, John yelled at me and refused to listen. I have before and after pictures that documents the damage and again, he admitted he damaged my car when he towed it. But he said that it is not his problem. Horrible customer service.

H & R towing is contracted through AAA and they made my family feel safe, comfortable and taken care of. The technician stayed in contact with us from initial contact to the moment they arrived at our home with our vehicle in tow.

They've done good work for me in the passed. However, when I called yesterday to get a quote they had me explain all the maintenance I needed, the second I told them I had all the parts. They told me they where booked out over a month from now and couldn't help me. Seemed kind of fishy that they couldn't tell me that in the beginning. My husband came here to get an alignment done on his truck, which they were not able to complete due to his front axle being bent. They still charged him $60 just for the inspection and when he asked them what he was being charged for, they acted like they did more to his truck then just inspect it and tried to tell him a bunch of other things were broken that he just got replaced. They wouldn t give him his keys unless he paid, so he paid the $60. They did nothing to his truck besides running a machine to read some numbers. We will not be back and recommend you go somewhere else unless you want to be scammed out of money.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

I usually get wonderful service from H&R. But today, I called for a tow. Last time I called the driver who arrived today showed up. His name is Elias. He refused to tow the vehicle and jump started it. On the way to the mechanic the engine failed and I was stranded. Today the driver who arrived refused to tow the car because he said he could put a spare on. For multiple reasons this was not a solution for us and is not why I called. We explained we don t want it applied. He said it was easier, and didn t want to do the work to tow it. Whoever this guy is doesn t want to tow cars. Lazy. I will not be doing business with H&R again.

My car wouldn t start anymore & was stuck in a parking lot. Called AAA and they sent H & R to tow me. They came a few minutes faster than the ETA which was great! Quickly hooked up my car & got it ready to be towed. The two men who towed it were very polite. They got it back to my home without any issues. I m happy with their tow service!

H & R did an amazing fixing my 1972 Chevy El Camino. Very honest, and fair priced. They even followed up to make sure car was running good after repair.

Great local shop that we've trusted with everything ( 6 vehicles) from our 1 ton Chevy through our Lexus sedan for nearly a decade. Honest, reliable, and willing to help with some really expensive repairs if we'd gone with the dealer. For example, our Lexus with 175,000 miles needed a new rear end and the dealer was quoting over $6,000; H&R found us a used rear-end with only 30,000 miles for $1,300 and charged $600 for replacement - 50,000 miles later and we're still going strong - $4,000+ savings has really helped in maintaining our "fleet".

I was amazed how quickly Elias arrived after I called, and he was so friendly and helpful! I was very unhappy about my car breaking down but Elias made the day at least a little bit better by being so kind and patient. Thank you so much for your excellent service! I ll definitely recommend this company to others.

I have a custom 1965 Falcon that broke a tie-rod. HR towed to their shop on a Saturday - weeks later (due to parts being ordered) they stated it was ready to go. Driving the car home I could immediately tell it wasn't right. To make sure I took my car to a custom hot rod shop and was told wrong parts all around were put on my car.This is partly my fault because the car is custom, and HR isn't a custom car shop. If they were they would have seen my car has Granada spindles on it, and other after market products. Upon initial inspection they should have informed me that the front end was heavily customized and just 'not right', and should have suggested I take it to a custom builder. Instead I was charged for parts and labor, and my car was turned over to me with a 'best effort' attempt to get it right - and the front end wasn't right. Cost me over $1,000 for that lesson.If you have a bone-stock car that needs a repair maybe these guys can do it - but if you have a custom hot rod then IMO I suggest not taking it here.Service: Steering & suspension repair

My battery was dead and I used aaa to call a mechanic. The owner (?) of this company showed up to help. Not only did he go above and beyond to get my pilot running again, he gave us advice on how to prevent the problem in the future. He wasn't pushy like some aaa drivers are to buy a new battery. Instead, he jumped my car and got on his way. Thanks so much for helping me out! Me and my pilot thank you.

I highly recommend H&R. The found the problem I was having with my 06 Crown Vic. The engine was flooding and not starting in cold weather. I had been to 3 other shops who told me they couldn't find anything wrong. H&R found the problem quickly, which was a $30 Ignition Coil Relay. It was causing no spark which is why it was flooding when trying to start it. The labor costs were very reasonable, the tow driver Chuck, and the lady at the front desk, Donna, were super friendly and professional. I will be going to them from now on for any repair needs.
