Stranded on I-70 when our front differential went out and Mike saved us! He was so fast to get to us I couldn't believe it. Had our Jeep hooked up in no time and towed us wherever we wanted to go for a fair price. I only wish his business was in my town I'd use him for all our engine repair needs! Thank you Mike! Mike at Silver City recently rebuilt the rear end on my rusty Jeep Wrangler that is about 20 years old. This was a really tough job, and not many mechanics these days would have entertained touching it. Some of the parts were extremely hard to find (even online), and Mike somehow made it happen! Beyond grateful to be back on the road. If you're looking for experienced repair, this is the place to go!

Great experience! We called because we had a fan issue up on Berthoud Pass and Mike gave some general advice and offered to come give us a tow. We ended up being able to drive to his shop and he helped us out right away. We couldn t figure out the issue but he refused any payment for his help, advice, and service. My son and I broke down while heading up the Berthoud Pass and had our truck towed to Mike s that evening. We met briefly the following morning to discuss what had happened and then my son and I walked to downtown Idaho Springs to explore and grab breakfast. To my amazement, Mike called around lunchtime to let us know that he had us back and running! As an out-of-tower some 1,600+ miles from home, Mike s honesty and sense of humor were very much appreciated. If I was local, he d be the only person to touch any of my vehicles.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Awful experience. My car died on the highway and we had it towed to his shop, where he diagnosed the problem as for sure the battery and replaced it. Less than a week later the exact same thing happened with the new battery, and he refuses to refund me the $300 he charged me for the new battery even though he clearly diagnosed the problem incorrectly. Now I will be taking my car to a more reputable mechanic who will hopefully be able to fix my car correctly the first time and have decent people skills. He also charged us $100 to tow our car 1.5 miles. He is unprofessional and lacks customer service. Do not recommend.

Mike was so wonderful and helpful! He went out of his way to help us on Labor Day when our car died & we were trying to get back home to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My F-150 was basically stranded in Idaho Springs when the water pump failed. Mike took my call on Sunday and had my truck back on the road Monday afternoon. The pricing was fair and he was very easy to deal with. I highly recommend this shop.

Mike is a very honest and a man of his word. He towed my F250 and travel trailer, the serpentine had broken and was stuck on I-70 had 4 people and a dog. He got the travel trailer to a safe spot fixed the serpentine and some other repairs that were known about for the most part . I certainly appreciate a man of his word, you just don't see much of that these days

The best service ever! Mike came to our vehicle on I-70. Towed us to his shop. Fixed our vehicle and had us on our way all in 2 hours. Oh, and he stayed an hour and a half after closing time on a Monday. Thanks a million Mike.

Mike did a fantastic job diagnosing and solving the issues with our Navigator. He had the problem fixed correctley in a timely manner. The price was very reasonable. I am bringing all of my cars here from now on!

I recently moved to town, My car has been overheating, and the brakes are bad, I know I needed to replace some parts. I brought the car to Mike for an estimate. He told me he would call me. After walking 5 minutes towards home, he calls and says $450 to install a new radiator which I already had an idea was leaking, and $350 for to install brake pads and rotors. I told him I'm going to pass, the car isn't worth the repairs, I'll just have to buy another used car. I never expected to be extorted $45 dollars to get my keys back to drive away after I decided not to use his repair service. Stay FAR FAR AWAY! the quote: "you can shear a sheep many times, but only skin it once." comes to mind. I got swindled, don't go here.

Mike is awesome, he replaced my brake pads and machined the rotors on a Friday afternoon when I was stuck in Idaho Spgs. He did the job well and quick for an honest price. Great auto repair shop.

Saved by Silver City. We broke down near Georgetown this afternoon and after waiting for over 3 hours for insurance and roadside assistance to figure something out we started calling around ourselves. Silver city was there in 20 minutes and drove us to a shop in east Denver. Could not be more grateful!Service: Car towingService: Car towing

If I could leave 0 stars should be nice but I don't think these place deserves one star. We went there on 09/22/2018, our car was leaking antifreeze really bad and this was the only place open. When we got there we tried to talk with the guy at the office and he was too lazy to even talk, he said they have other projects going on but nobody was there except him. We ask him about where we can find another place to fix our problem and he barely give us an answer. Why you are open then? I WON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE if you have an emergency with your vehicle, try a different town if can make it. White lazy people!!!

Just happened to stop by in the hopes that someone could give me an answer about what was wrong with my jeep. Mike was friendly and diagnosed the issue immediately, fixed it and I had my jeep back a couple of hours later. THANK YOU, MIKE!!!!! P.S. I want that Bronco... Ok, how bout that other one then?

My wife s Jeep overheated while coming down from the mountains. We pulled into this shop s parking lot (note: not blocking a garage and parked next to another vehicle). There was a sign on the window indicating they were open, but out on a tow. When we called the listed number, the person who answered was outrageously, straight up rude. Can you look at the car today? No. We can t get it to start; can we leave it parked so you can have a look tomorrow? No. Flat out, no sympathy, no explanation. Don t bother with this shop. The owner is obviously one of those money-scrounging tow-truck drivers who rip people off. You re better off finding another mechanic and blowing up your engine trying to get there.

Best quality work I have recieved and in a pinch. He managed to tow me, save the engine, flush the coolant system, and fix an air bubble in the system in two hours. Honesty high quality work. Best I have dealt with in the area.

I got my car fixed here a little over a month ago and I was charged $300 for the part and $800 for the labor!!! I was upset by the charge, but didn't think it quite warranted a bad review. However, my car is now having problems again and is no longer drivable again. For this much money I would hope my car could withstand longer than a month of driving.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Car towing
