I felt like I was scamed. I got my oil changed and although I was told it would be about 80 bucks, without asking me they charged me $5.50 to fill my washer fluid and also replaced my air cleaner although it had been changed with my last oil change 5000 miles before and probably didn't need it. They should have asked me about both these items It cost me $120 for the oil change.

I agree with Julie. Ray is a great and honest auto mechanic and business owner. How else could he survive in a small town if not? They charged me $190 to change a tail light bulb. They should have let me know the cost before doing the work so I could have gone elsewhere. I ve had a bulb changed before and it only costs $40. This is my first time ever leaving a small business a bad review. But they took advantage of me because I m from out of town.

These guys go over-and-beyond what any other auto mechanic shop will do to help their customers. I've had to phone them a variety of times since we have had several vehicles, including kids cars, and Ray and his crew were delightful to work with every time. He is very knowledgeable on American and import vehicles and does a great job at an affordable price.

The folks at Hotchkiss Auto got me in and my Jeep taken care of unexpectedly quick. Don't usually expect such quick service knowing how busy they are. That, their convenient location and professional service is worth 5 stars!

So I had a new alternator put in, my battery light went on and off from time to time after that, I figured it was just a cheap battery and not the alternator. Fast forward 2 years every belt in my car goes out, and my alternator goes out my mechanic here says, oh yeah that bad alternator you had was putting all sorts of strain on your belts. Yep there's a total of $1100. Now my girlfriend had her lowering springs removed from her car there, fast forward 2 years her front axle is making this horrible noise and the brakes are barely working (I'll give them that part of the brakes probably aren't their fault). She takes it in there's a part missing that secures the axle to the drive shaft. DO NOT take your car here for more than basic maintenance.

went in because my car kept dying (already tested battery and it was fine). took a week to get me in, then they charged $300 total and all they did was put in a new battery- EVEN THO I KNEW IT WASNT THE ISSUE. $150 for a battery, $150 for diagnostics but the issue wasn t solved. Car still dying.
