I see this says hotel ...but it's an RV park!I had stayed at this campground last summer. No electricity...only an extension cord. The minnow tank was consistently down, as was the ice machine. The bathrooms were full of mold and slime on the shower floors. Disgusting. Trash covered an entire edge. (Which we helped to tidy up some). I would have been embarrassed to say I stayed here a while month...never would I recommend anyone go there.SOLD! New owners seem to take pride in their new endeavor! I see the power stations are all up and running power and water. It's clean and painted, floors are nice and clean. The bathrooms are nice and clean. I would definitely spend my vacation time here. I DO now recommend for all to sta, or at least stop in and see the changes. Decide for yourselfProof that any endeavour can become a huge success if some TLC is out forth. God bless your journey .

New owners are amazing. They are very polite and always asking if there is anything else I need. They have rv power, showers inside building along with washer and dryer. Rv water is shut off at moment as it is winter months. They go out of their way to bring me propane every couple days as I'm staying here in the winter. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. They are only a few min away from the state park.

Owner let's you pay by cash, but then tells you that you never paid him. Owner can be a total jerk at times. Owners girlfriend runs everyone away from the business. All his store inventory is bought from Walmart and marked up. They do not pay their bills and don't update the property. Worst place to try to stay.Nearby activities: Only thing close to this business is the reservoir and that's half a mile away.

It's not the worst campground I've been to. They have pretty alright store. I bough a sandwich to microwave and it was surprisingly delicious. Washrooms are pretty ghetto. Shower is usually occupied by a pair of toads. Not a bad thing if you like toads and don't like bugs. Not worth 20 bucks for a night in a tent. It's a 10 bucks campground.

1 50 Amp space that does not work properly. After they told us they had 50 Amp spaces. Spaces are not difined. Run down and not maintained. No signs giving direction. Can't tell what is driving path and what is a space. Caretaker has no customer service. The place was so bad, we didn't stay. The photos are not an accurate depiction of the place.

Spent 2 weekdays here at the end of July 2019 at $22.86 each day for 30 amps, water and electric only. No discounts. No sewer. The only nice thing I can say about this campground is the Internet was fast. 5Mbps. Many shady sites if the trees would be trimmed. My class A is 12'2" and could not enter many sites because of the low branches. Most sites would be pull-thru's, if you can avoid the branches. The grass did not look like it had been mowed in months (I only wonder how many ticks and flea bites I'll get), the men's bathroom had not been clean since the last construction job and I only wonder what foot diseases I'll get because of it. The ladies bathroom was cleaner, but you still need to bring a fly swatter with you. The first site I was assigned to (11) had reverse polarity errors. The 2nd site (15) had a broken 50 amp plug. The third site (2) had less then 108 volts when I ran the AC. Had to turn off the AC to run anything else. The owners/managers live at site 3. Polite enough. The wife said the husband has a disability, hence nothing is getting done. They have 2 HUGE dogs and 1 small dog which they allowed to run loose and urinate at my site or wherever else the dogs wish. After a rain storm I could smell the urine. They website advertises laundry, but there is not any. Did not enter the bait shop, so I can not address it. The campground had painted tires and other trash throughout. (see attached pictures) Each site has a fire ring, if you can find it within the weeds. 2 long term residents, the owners and 1 employee live on site. When the employee left at 6am he revved his loud exhaust on the way out. He also left his dog penned in his yard. The dog barked from 6:30 am until 8:30 am when the owners took it inside. Learn from my mistake and stay away.

Do not stay here. They not only have they fraudulently billed my card and refuse to answer my phone calls, but it is also a dump. Sites are on top of each other and filled with garbage not near the lake either. Spend the 2 more dollars and go some where safe.

Great family owned business. They bend over backwards to try and keep you happy. Their minnows are pretty tuff as well guaranteed to catch fish or drown if you keep them in long enough.

Decent rv park less than a mile from John Martin Reservoir.Large pull-in spaces available at an affordable price, most with trees.Plenty of grassy areas with fire rings for tent camping. No wastewater hookups available but there is a dump that isn't far.Water is well tapped and not very good. Bring your own water and ice.Restrooms were only passable, showers barely worked and there were lots of frogs, grasshoppers and flying critters running in and out.Owners were working on upgrading their restrooms and grocery store in August so perhaps it's gotten better.

My family & I stayed 4 nights over the July 4th holiday. They were all very accommodating & friendly. The ladies shower/restroom was clean. I love that they have a general store.

It was as described. Store merchants were friendly and nice. The lake is about a mile from the campground which didn't go to well for people who only had RVs and no other transportation. Neighbors, with boat, caught lots of fish.

The pictures on the site are misleading. A drive by showed a lot of junk just south of general store. Didn't give the good feel. Sorry to be so negative but need to work on the first impression. I should have known since it was $22 a night.

Campground definitely needs a lot of work with a little heart and love... it could definitely be nice place... Aside from that I enjoyed my stay... I felt like the staff was very friendly and very helpful...

Nice little spot right outside of the state park. Shady spots, RV hook ups, and showers available, as well as tent camping.
