A wonderful place to stay. It s a unique atmosphere with a down home feel. The amenities of nature, clean rustic rooms, a well maintained pool/hot tub area, along with a fire pit stocked with a mile long row of firewood that could accommodate a small army sets the bar high for the competition but it s the Manager and the staff that puts this place in a league of it s own. Lety and Barb welcome guests with a genuine heart filled smile that will fill you with warmth to the core one that only a mother could deliver and do it so effortlessly. I can honestly say that I would walk a mile and pass every hotel and motel on the coldest winter day just to have the experience of staying at their hotel. Five stars is an understatement!!!!

I would not recommend staying here at all. We specifically booked here because it was dog friendly and somewhat affordable. It is surely not worth the price and is more of a motel than anything. The nightly price is way too expensive for what is offered.First off, there are bugs here. We ate dinner and soon after saw ants crawling around. We did not leave open food on the floor. The boxes were empty and tied up in bags by the front door. The ants came from the bathroom. Also, the bathroom was dirty when we checked in. When we turned on the shower dirt literally rinsed down the drain. There were stains on the bed sheets when we arrived. The place is severely outdated, which I didn t mind but if it s going to be outdated it should at least be clean. The pet fee is $20 a night which I thought was affordable, however, my dog started severely itching and became very restless during and after our stay here. I am very nervous that he caught something from this place as this was the only place he went while in Gunnison. He will be seeing his vet tomorrow and hopefully he does not have mites. The room also smelled awful. It was fine the first night but after turning the AC on it smelled horrendous. I was here on business and was working 12-14 hour days so unfortunately by the time we got back there was no one there. The front desk is gone by 9.The only saving grace for this place is that the front desk was nice and helpful. I did not love the location, but I was aware I where it was before booking. If there had been only 1-2 issues I wouldn t even be making this post, but the fact that the issues were continuous was absolutely ridiculous. As a former hotel manager I found this place very appalling and off putting. I would never stay here again. If you are looking for a place to stay please do not stay here.

The deluxe suite was perfect for us. Breakfast is great and the grounds are exceptional for our sweet dog Bella. The fire pit and grills available are such a great touch! The best part about our stay was the front desk associate CARL!!! He was always there for us. He was never without a greeting and a smile! The only thing I would improve upon would be service for stay overs. We were a two night stay and no one stopped to replenish our towels, coffee or even empty the trash. We asked why they hadn't been to our room yet at 11am and were told, "We weren't on the list". If you're staying more than one night you shouldn't be passed over for service in the morning. I have traveled all my life and this is the first time I haven't had my room cleaned or at least checked to see if we needed anything. All in all great stay regardless. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back!

The Inn is from a bygone era of station wagons and family road trips of the 60s. We stayed here last summer when we took a spur of the moment trip to see the wildflowers in Crested Butte. The best parts? The hearty breakfasts every morning that are included, the indoor pool and hot tub, and the outdoor area with barbecues and a fire pit.The worst parts? Construction workers for Hwy 50 firing up their trucks at 5:30 in the morning, and the infernal beeping as they back out. Every morning we were treated to an early wake up.Bring bug spray If you plan to barbecue or be out on the grass near sundown, as there are clouds of voraciously hungry mosquitoes.Rooms: This is a 2-story motor lodge with older rooms.Nearby activities: 5 minutes from Gunnison, 45 minutes from Crested Butte. Near fishing, hiking and wild water rafting.Food & drinks: Breakfast provided. There is no restaurant on site, but there are barbecue grills and it is a 10 minute drive from the grocery store which closes at 8:00 p.m.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We checked in at 5:45 pm and Leticia gave us the room key. We walked in the room and it was dirty. It smelt bad when we walked in, there were cobwebs everywhere, stains on the sheets and hair in the bathroom. We used 1 towel and moved a fur blanket off the bed. We then went to the front desk and asked for a refund and she said that we have to call Travelocity. We contacted them and they said we have to go directly through the motel. We asked for the refund at the Inn and they denied us several times. I asked to speak to a manager and they denied me again. I kept explaining that we did not utilize that room and it was disgusting. Worst customer service experience. I was really hoping for a better experience. I will not be staying there again.

This independent motel gets it *all* right. The rooms are big, clean, and quiet, with comfy beds. The setting is beautiful, and it is enhanced by a large, central gathering area with a fire pit, gas grills, and comfy chairs. The pool and Jacuzzi are in fine shape. The free breakfast is outstanding. And the hosts are genuinely friendly, generous, and accommodating. It was a good value. We felt well taken care of. Compared to hotel chains, this felt positively liberating!

This place is so cozy, one of the best motels I ve stayed at. The rooms feel like you re in a cabin and the property is welcoming. They leave a little rubber ducky for you in the bathroom which was epic, and the bathrooms have heat lamps (although we didn t use because we visited in the summer). Breakfast was great, they even had a waffle maker! Only way this place would be better would be if they had a Tesla charger

We stayed in an apartment which was very comfortable. Large living room with fireplace, kitchen with everything you need. Good bedrooms with all amenities. There is even a small courtyard. We liked everything. Nice that water and firewood were free. The location is good - close to national parks. The only negative - the hotel is near the road, nowhere to walk. You just need to go by car.

The inn is always full so I guess they can charge exorbitant prices. Be warned though that the price doesn t reflect the quality of the place. The linens need updating- the towels are at rag stage due to all of the strings hanging off of them, the sheets were thin, scratchy and yellow, and the pillows are lumpy. The air conditioner is loud and the bed is firm. It looks like they have tried to make some updates but you can only do so much without gutting the room. The grounds are lovely but they don t do anything to help minimize the mosquitoes. Breakfast is average not awesome as others have posted. The newest thing in the room is the microwave and it was great. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The front desk lady was extremely nice and helpful. We needed a place to stay in the area for hiking and sight seeing with our dogs and this place was the best option by far, especially for the low price. They have a fun area out front too for dog walking (with dog poo stations), corn hole, chairs, etc.Surprisingly clean rooms with no odor for a pet friendly place... Highly recommend if you have dogs and need a place to stay in the Gunnison area.

Knocked out both my front teeth jumping on their beds 45 years ago. Only unpleasant experience I've had in the numerous times we've stayed since.Recently updated rooms and a very friendly staff - definitely would recommend!

We had a great overnight stay. The staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable. Beds were a bit firm for my taste but the rest of my family was fine with it. Bonus, they had breakfast in the morning that we weren't aware of! They have standard foods like waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, fruits, muffins, etc. Coffee was yummy too! We will be back for sure when passing through.

Comfy bed, shower is good.Carpets are old. Sofa in our room is very old, looks like an 80's style.Staff is very nice.I liked the fire pit at night. The pool pics on the website are gorgeous but the actual pool doesn't look like the pics at all.The hotel was built a long time ago and is kept well but needs a lot of maintenance.Don't expect a five star.

This is an old facility that has been remodeled to stay current with the times. I only stayed one night, so I didn't have time to use the pool or hot tub. It was comfortable, clean, and affordable. It is located five minutes east of Gunnison. Lodging in Gunnison is expensive.Walkability: It is isolated from town, so you cannot easily walk to a place to eat.

Nice courtyard stocked with firewood for the fire pit that was surrounded with comfortable chairs. Great hot breakfast and well tendwd to. Older property, very well kept and the manager did a great job for our group. Several things could've easily gone wrong but she contacted us before any missed reservations or late check ins or lost articles became a problem. Impressive customer service.
