The service, professionalism and value at The Gunny Lube is the best around! I usually change my oil myself, but now I don't hesitate to schedule an appointment with these guys!

I needed an oil change, so I called to make an appointment. I live up in the mountains about an hour out of Gunnison, so my trips to town are seldom and hectic. I was informed that Gunny Lube does not take appointments, so I just needed to show up and hope for the best. When I got there it was at least a three hour wait before they could get my vehicle in. I was not willing to hang out for four hours to get my oil changed so I drove to Montrose. The drive to Montrose took an hour. I got to Valvoline and they got me in right away. They checked all of my lights, topped off fluids that were low, checked tire pressure and filled what was necessary, swapped out my air filter and changed my oil all in about 45 minutes. I then drove an hour back home. When I got home I realized that my truck would have still been sitting in the parking lot of Gunny Lube waiting to be pulled into a bay. If you have 4 hours available to get your oil changed I'm sure that Gunny Lube can get it done and do a fine job. Unfortunately I don't have time for that.

My son had his vehicle serviced here (tire rotation and oil change) and the lug nuts on the rear drivers side wheel are stripped and bent and the tire has fallen off between Montrose and Gunnison. The vehicle has fallen onto the wheel. He could have been injured or killed.

Huge shout out to The Gunny Lube! We rolled in with our massive ambulance camper conversion and they took care of us super quickly. Excellent service and bonus points for showing our rig some love :) don t hesitate to come here, they ll treat you right.

I had my tires replaced on my 2009 Acura and also had my oil changed at Gunny Lube with no problems. Dan was very attentive and had a good attitude. He was willing to give me time and cost estimates that were accurate. I ordered my tires on line and them delivered to the store. Gunny Lube mounted them on my car at a price lower than that quoted on the website. Because I was unable to get back during work hours Dan arranged for me to pick up my car later in the evening. Very friendly, super easy, and really fast! I didn t make an appointment but they took my car right away, even with other cars ahead of me, and were done in an hour! Highly recommend!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Was at True Value, great customer service from Mike's crew btw, and thought I'll swing by Gunny Lube and make an appointment because 4000 miles ago they were 3 days out on an oil change. Went inside, the very young man that finally came to help me said he couldn't book an appointment in person but I could go to the website. I said, "I'm here, in the store, I can't make an appointment?" Rudely he said, "just go to our website." In a tone like I was keeping him from preforming brain surgery. He added, "you can use your phone..." oh thanks, didn't know I got the interweb on my phone. I left, went to the website, it's terrible and promotes "no appointment needed" just drive in. Again i did that the last time and was told three days. We'll see.UPDATE: My walk in visit went great. Dan and a different guy from the other day did a great job. They were fast and provided great service. I've upped my rating to 4 stars because first impressions matter but the work matters more.

No one here on a Saturday. We called Friday and was assured they were open on Saturday morning. Their website said the same as did Google. Yet, there's a line of about 7 cars waiting over an hour for no reason. Some of these folks knew the shop manag we who stopped answering the phone. Just a shame. A little competition would put this place out of business.Service: Oil change

Great service and courteous to boot!I arrived at 11:55am and they close at 12noon on saturdays. The manager didnt even bat an eye.I don't like going over 4,000 on an oil change, so it was important to me to have this done today with many miles in the next few days.The intire process was done in less than 15 minutes....great job!!

They stripped my oil plug. Wrong oil filter size, which lead to an oil leak all over my garage. Even after I realized it was the wrong filter size, and asked them for the correct size the next time I visited, they said it wasn't possible. They only stock certain types/brands. I should have left then. My mistake, I'll change my own oil or take my vehicle somewhere they use the correct factory recommended parts from here on out.

Had snow tires shipped here in November, it s now February and after several visits to try to get my snow tires on my car and being turned away, I m taking my tires elsewhere. They say they don t take appointments and to come first thing in the am, but I ve been told multiple (like 5) times that they couldn t get to me when I come first thing in the am. so much for first come first served.

Excellent service! The guys went above and beyond in dealing with a tricky drain plug on my Jeep. They not only accommodated it, but they fixed it, no questions asked! This is the kind of service to strive for in a small town!

Oil change was quick and efficient. But not time to rotate tires, and did not have full synthetic oil. But was able to drop in with out an appointment.

Giving one star because you have to to post. I arrived at 4:30 and only one car in the bay and they refused to service my truck. They don't close untill 5 if I were the owner I would fire them all..lazy! Do the job you get paid for.

Took our truck in, in great condition for a simple oil change. We left with the Check Engine light on as well as a significant oil leak.

I asked for a transmission fluid flush and transfer case and engine oil change. They checked everything and said all it needed was an oil change! Honesty like that is refreshing.

Enjoyed service even changed a broken bulb of a taillight that I didn't buy from them
