So lucky to have Precision Automotive here! We were working in Almont for the summer season and upon pulling out with our trailer quickly got a flat. This team got us set with a new tire when they opened. And then another one the next day when we found another tire was bubbled and rubbing on the inside of the rim. We were so distressed trying to get out of town, but Precision squeezed us in and put us at ease. Thank goodness!

Tires were priced fairly and staff was helpful but I went out this morning, Thanksgiving day, to find one tire almost flat with a loose valve stem, one had 45 lbs. Two other tires had 25 lbs. All should have been 32-33 lbs. Very unhappy.

Wow. Fit me in with a tight schedule. Great communication. Fair price. Willingness to work on a vehicle that most in the valley will not. Friendly interactions throughout the process. I can t imagine anyone being disappointed.

Precision Auto has been nothing but good to our family. I recently had a leaking tire that could not be fixed. They squeezed me in and put a new tire on my car. The tire sensor was not reading the new tire so I took it back in and they discovered that the sensor needed replacing so did it as a walk in. I will go to no other tire shop in Gunnison. Everyone in there is friendly and helpful. Thank you, Precision!!

I could not believe how fast they were able to take my truck in and get it repaired. Everyone was very professional and concerned about getting back on the road again.

Great place for tire service. We had to change one of our trailer tires due to a flat the previous day. They were able to get good tires quickly and change them rapidly. Ended up getting a pair. Highly recommend doing business with them.

Good service, was able to get me in for a tire patching quickly. Gave them low stars for charging $65 for a tire patch, it should only cost around $10.

We had a tire on our 5th wheel blow out just out of Gunnison. We called Precision Automotive to see if they had a tire and if so could they change it out for us. We called other tire shops and they couldn't fit us in their schedule. Precision Automotive fit us in to their schedule and we on the road again heading to our camping spot. The people there were the best and we are happy campers. Thank youService: Auto tire replacement

Wow . Just wow if we could have given this shop 100k stars, we would.From the moment we broke down on monarch mountain we ve been on cloud9. No better place to break down than with these folks!We broke down on monarch mountain and got towed in. We called to let Precision know we were on our way . During this phone conversation, Jennifer, the office chicka, was able to talk us through what was happening with our vehicle, she s rather knowledgeable with Jeeps and had us more calm before we even got into town.It was Thursday around 3 and they close for the weekend on Thursday night. Jennifer communicated that they did not have time to work on the vehicle this day but would still take the time to glance at it they were booked out for three weeks and, Steve, nick and jennifer and jesus, still all came out and took the time to squeeze us in for a visual diagnosis!!!It was recommended we stay for the weekend so they could do a full diagnosis on Monday we had no idea what was in store for us!!!Precision invited us to stay behind their facilities in our roof top tent and even provided power, free of charge. We were offered a complimentary rental car to use around town which we didn t really need, the town is pretty little.Jesus, the mechanic we connected with, invited us into his home to use the shower and, with his wife, took us to a couple of their favorite awe-inspiring spots around the area,.. we went to orvis hot springs, a killer Mexican restaurant in montrose (don gillbertos), the cottonwood continental divide, and a local car show they re such a stellar delight!!!!Precision went over and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and we had no cares in the world of what might be horribly wrong with our broke down car!!!Come Monday, as promised, even though they were booked out three weeks,.. the owner, Steve,.. the owner!!! took the time to come out and diagnose our vehicle come to find out, we re going to need to rebuild the engine soon.. but, they gave us great tips on what we can do to keep our vehicle happy and worry-free until she gives up.

Decent shop. Not a lot of options in the gunnison valley. I felt it was a little pricy and the service was mediocre. Still grateful they did a good job.

Precision Automotive gave me a peace of mind as my car went limp coming off of Monarch, my check engine light went on. Thank you for your kindness and assisting me with some diagnostic testing and assistance to getting me on the road for a short time to get where I needed to go. Amazing customer service. We came here bc our car was making a funny sound. They looked at it and fixed it right away. It was something so simple they didn t charge us for it. I have never ever had an experience this good with a mechanic.

Had appt at eleven. They took car in garage at 11:20. After 30 min I asked when car would be ready as I had another appt. Was told 20 to 30 minutes. Got car 50 minutes later as Tech had to help someone else. Missed my noon appt then 15 late for 12:30 appt simply because they kept telling me the car would be right out.Absolutely crazy communications. Obviously will never go back to this place. I was in this shop for one hour fifty minutes. had this same work done last year at Discount Tire and was in and out in 35 minutes.Service: Tires

We were on our way to CB for vacation, and as we came over Monarch Pass, our check engine light came on and the car started to act weird. I was really freaked out at the thought of getting stranded on the pass, and we knew that by the time we got to Gunnison, most car repair places would be closed. Luckily, we made it over the pass and to Precision a little past 5pm (closing time). Sonny happily agreed to run a diagnostic test even though they were closed, and luckily put our minds at ease. The issue wasn t huge, and he reassured us that we would be able to get to CB and back home (Evergreen, CO) with no issues. What a guy!! He didn t charge us, but I would have paid him $100 just for that peace of mind. Highly recommend Precision Automotive. They ll take good care of you! Thanks Sonny!

Came in 5 minutes before closing and they were nice enough to work on my car and make sure it was safe to drive before I had a long roadtrip ahead of me. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable employees. Highly recomend.

I would leave more stars if I could.Steve, Amanda, and Jen(I believe) were so unbelievably kind, helpful, and informative, it's hard to put into words.I had a series of nightmare issues caused by another shop out of town and these cool cats got me in super quick, gave me good info, and gave me a rental!I cannot say enough good things, and they will be my regular service center going forward!!!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

We pulled in at 1:00 with car issues. We are from Oklahoma just passing through on a week long trip. Steve was able to fix the truck and send us on our way in a few hours. Beyond thankful for this place!!

Today I had my new AT tires mounted/balanced at Precision Automotive by Jesus. The service was fast, and the results were great! Jesus wrapped my old tires for me in plastic to not get my seats dirty, which I really appreciated! Precision Automotive not only had the best rate in town, but the staff was also the friendliest! I will only do business with this company when it comes to my Subaru's needs in the valley! A+Service: Tires

I caught a flat driving home to utah. Came to the shop looking for 1 tire but was sold 2 used tires with really good tread on them, for a very good price. I am very happy with the tire installer going out of his way & helping me get back on the road. I highly recommend "Precision Automotive"

My husband and I had to stop here on the middle our road trip due to having some car troubles. The staff was friendly and professional. They quickly got us in for the next appointment, assessed the issues, ordered the necessary parts, and got us repaired and on the road in 4 hours! They also had rental cars to use so we could explore the town while they worked. We were so impressed with their service. They helped us make the best of our situation! Thank you guys!

Our truck quit running while visiting gunnison from Arizona. Not knowing anything about the area we were lucky enough to find precision auto. They have rental cars available Not new but not as pricey as the national firms. The gunnison area repair shops are extremely busy with long wait times. I found the information I needed to make the fix myself and was allowed to do the work on their lot. Very very nice people to work with . Also if they repair your auto they rent you a vehicle at around half priceService: General repairs

They saved the day! My daughters limped in with a bad turbo charger and even though Precision and every other shop nearby was booked days out, they had a cancellation and were able to diagnose quickly. Despite challenges they came in early and stayed late to make the complicated repairs as quickly as possible. They provided a loaner so my daughters could still have some local adventurers while waiting. Great communication, compassion and more that fair price for all the surprise extra work.
