I contacted Gunnison Auto & Performance regarding service work on my jeep. My experience with Braden and his team went very well. After they diagnosed the issue they ordered the parts and worked overtime hours to complete the work. I would highly recommend them for their great service, honest, and credibility!

We were traveling across the country and were in a bind, broken down on a Friday afternoon. The guys at Gunnison Performance were so incredibly kind and gracious and stayed late on a Friday, and got us all fixed up on Saturday morning. I can t explain the amount of gratitude I have for them. They did a great job and helped me get my family back on the road. I was fortunate to find such good people and I highly recommend them.

Well, you just can't find a better mechanic shop. Bryson was very helpful and knowledgeable. Diagnosed my car problem and got me on my way as fast as he could. Super friendly with great vibes. Wish I could come back with every car issue but I travel for work. A+ recommendation

I was having some suspension issues. Took my vehicle in here and they advised me that replacing my front struts would solve the problem. Turns out it wasn't the struts at all but rather the tie rods and link bars that needed to be replaced. Wasted a bunch of time and money.

We're on an RV trip across country, post-pandemic, and the RV is not near our local mechanic. So when we stayed at a nearby campground, one of my "neighbors" mentioned the brake noise he was hearing and said it sounded serious. I had just started to hear something, and it was metal-on-metal, so we knew something needed to be done soon.We stopped in Gunnison, CO and asked the lady at the visitor center if she had any ideas, and she mentioned two places, one of which was Gunnison Tire and Auto, this companies old name. So I checked reviews and they were amazing, and I called around 11:30. Brian (the owner) answered the phone and I explained the situation; he said he might be able to squeeze us in and to bring it by.Brian took a quick look and made up an estimate (which seemed *very* reasonable) and said they could get it done today! So we gave him the go-ahead, and enjoyed the afternoon shopping and dining and getting a haircut in the great little town of Gunnison, CO.Sure enough at about 4:30 we got the call it was done, and everything was perfect. Lisa was also a great help and enjoyable to work with. Jordan did the brake work and we gave it a good test later that day, as we crested Monarch Pass at 11,312' and the brakes worked perfectly all the way down (along with the transmission, of course).We are indebted to Brian and his team for taking such good care of us with same-day service, so professionally, so friendly, and with such reasonably-priced work. Thank you Brian, Jordan, and Lisa for all of your assistance and kindness! Gunnison Auto & Performance is definitely an all around, top-notch business.Service: Brakes

Brayden is awesome!!! We had car trouble and just happened to pull up to see their hours (it was currently Friday at 6 pm) and Brayden came out and offered to help out even though he was closed. He spent some solid time working on the car. Even though he didn t have too! Seriously turned our hectic day a lot better. Also asked him how much and he said just pay it forward. Brayden is a solid human and knows his stuff!!

I had my first amazing experience this past May. I was on vacation with my wife and my truck was having some issues the day before we were leaving. Gunnison Auto was able to identify the issue, find a part, and get everything done. We were able to leave on time the next day. We have now moved over here for my job. I will continue to this awesome shop! Hands down, the best service I've ever had! Super helpful and informational!

Wow! What a great place. Brian and his crew are the best! The knowledge and professional skills are mind blowing. I am very impressed. Brian and his crew stayed late on a Friday after closing determined to get to the bottom of my 4x4 emergency and resolved the issue. I was happy to be heading home with my issue fixed and the repair cost was more than fair. I will continue to use the honest business of Gunnison Tire. Thanks Brian your team is great. Larry

No one else in the area would even touch my Dodge Sprinter when it was having electrical issues because of how finicky they are. They were so accommodating, helpful, and friendly. I've had mechanics not listen to me when I told them about issues before, but they were meticulous in noting down every odd thing I mentioned, even if it probably wasn't relevant. When they were able to get to me they fixed my problem in just a few hours and their prices were very reasonable. They saved me a trip to a dealer and I could kiss them for that. Brian even took the time to prepare for issues surrounding my cat in the van over the weekend. (I'm so sorry) Thank you so much for painlessly getting my home back in order.

Recently had my brakes repaired there. They were transparent about services and pricing, and when an unexpected service popped up and was added to the bill, Lisa honored it and payed the difference out-of-pocket. She's a real one.

I have never before experienced quicker, better, or more knowledgeable automotive service. Presented with a seriously misfiring truck during an extended camping trip, my entire summer plan was in jeopardy. The problem was quickly diagnosed and repaired far better than my hometown dealership could have done. Most importantly, Brian has an impressive knowledge of automotive history and systems, as well as the rare gift of being able to convey that experience to the layperson in easy to understand options. I can't praise this well run business enough and hope that both Gunnison locals as well as travellers in need will support it.

I called asking if i could get a diagnosis of my truck since I've been getting a low coolant light periodically, and they offered to take a look at it the same day. They found out it was a simple fix with the radiator hose clamp being loose and got my truck back out around an hour. Super nice people who really care about their clients and their work. Highly recommended.

We gave Brian and John the toughest insurance claim to deal with on our Nissan Pathfinder, and they provided us with the BEST customer service I have ever experienced, in any industry. The car ended up going to Montrose and then to Grand Junction to be serviced by a certified Nissan dealer, and they arranged for the transport there and all the communication in between. The car was in the shop for a total of 2 months and even though that was quite an inconvenience, Brian and John did every thing they could to get us in a rental car. They even offered for us to use their plow truck until a car came available. Talk about "bending over backwards!" I cannot say enough positive comments about Gunnison Tire. I HIGHLY recommend their service!!!!

This location offers tires and mechanic work, and ethanol-free gas which is important to me and my family. Lisa AMAZING, she's fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and a true asset to the daily operations for this location, as well to the Gunnison area. I highly recommend this location for all of your vehicles services.

GT was recommended to me by multiple friends. Brought my Forester in to have stripped lug nuts/wheel studs replaced. I had my car back in just over 1 hour. They drastically under-promised and over-delivered on the estimated time and cost.

Best shop in town. Amazing customer service. After having a breakdown on my way out of town and spending a day installing a new fuel filter and figuring out that the pump was fried, I got in touch with another shop just outside of town who claimed they could fix it by mid afternoon (on a Friday). This other shop couldn't come through for us and didn't communicate this to us until I called them mid-afternoon on Friday. Thinking we may be out of luck with the weekend quickly approaching, I frantically called and stopped by a few other shops in town, none of who could do the work on such a short notice. Luckily we stopped by Gunnison Tire and Auto shortly before they closed up for the day on Friday and Brian was willing to come in early Saturday morning to do the work before heading up to ski on his day off. The work was done well, efficiently and for a reasonable price. THANK YOU Brian for going out of your way to get us back on the road!

Great shop! Brian, John, and the whole team at Gunnison Tire are awesome! they have taken care of my Subaru Impreza diligently, and always turn over the work quickly and maintain high quality work. They help keep my car running through these harsh Gunnison winters. And they always hook up/take care of the cars at my work, which is a non-profit servicing adult in the IDD community in Gunnison! Awesome shop!

I was referred to GT&A by a neighbor of mine after having a less than positive experience at another shop. Brian and his crew are very friendly, professional and honest. I've taken both of our vehicles there now for work ranging from routine maintenance and tires to help with building out a Tacoma. They are experts and can do it all. Needless to say, I will be taking all of my future business and build outs to Brian and GT&A, no questions. Thanks!

These folks are friendly and helpful! We heard a noise in our front end of our diesel truck and were worried it may be a serious issue. They dropped everything and checked it out, found out what it was and that we d be ok to drive home and get the truck fixed there. Thanks!

I was on the road and doing some self diagnosis. I knew I needed new brakes. Thought I needed to replace an inner & outter tire rod end, but they were honest with me and said that it wasnt necessary, rather than just go ahead and do the work. They knew I was traveling and fit me in, swapped out my pads and rotors, made some suggestions about other things, and I was back on the road the next day. Big ups Gunn T&A!!!Service: Brakes

For a while I was going to Montrose for auto Mechanics. When Brian came into town I gave him a try and was satisfied.More than a year after the replacement of the distributor assembly in one of my trucks, the assembly died but, Brian replaced it free of charge. (He gives a 2 year warranty on the labor.) Anyone else in town would have charged me full price to fix it again.

Pretty good work. After doing my rear brakes, the emergency brake was stuck engaged on my camper, caused quite a scene going thru downtown. I pulled over and climbed underneath, pulled the e brake cable by hand and somehow I got it to release. Afraid to use e brake now.
