We had an amazing stay at the Lone Eagle Lodge. The room was well equipped with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. The use of the kitchen is nice too. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The location can't be beat. Everything in town is within walking distance and it is a quick trip out to RMNP.Rooms: There was plenty of space for a family of four.Nearby activities: You can hit the lake, listen to a live band, go putt putt or drive go karts as well as try the many restaurants.Walkability: The whole town is within walking distance.

We stayed at the Lone Eagle Lodge in Grand Lake for several nights and had the best time. We thank you for helping to make our vacation the best. The only suggestion is possible small air conditioning units. It did seem to get a little warm in the rooms at night but other than that the folks that run the place were awesome and we had a nice time.

The new owners are very kind and accommodating. I feel they did their best to make the stay great. The rooms are clean and have been updated decor. Located in town, walking distance from restaurants, shops and the lake. There is a lovely patio area we spent time eating our meal. Upgrading mattress would push this location higher in rating.

The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was one of the best we've slept on in a hotel. The owners were gracious and accommodating, even letting us borrow a Kindle charger. Their restaurant suggestions were good ones. The only suggestions I would make that would have made our stay a 5-star would have been to have a night light in the bathroom and an elongated, chair height toilet, which is a convenience for us older and taller guests. I would recommend Lone Eagle Lodge to others.

Holiday weekend yet still a no-stress friendly front desk experience. Nice staff/owners. Fridge had a great freezer compartment which is so helpful! Comfy room with lots of space, parking right by the door, and location is great. The desk area plus table = excellent.

Amazing location two minutes from the West entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, where we saw ten moose in one evening! Michele (the owner) was super helpful she gave us lots of great recommendations and even let us use her computer to book fly fishing. We enjoyed the live music at the tavern across the street too. We loved our stay and would highly recommend especially as it's such good value!

The other reviews are consistent. It is very basic but the people behind the front desk who I assume are the owners were super friendly, it is walking distance to all sorts of food, shops, lake activities. I would recommend bringing your own soap, ice, etc. But definitely a cute place to stay.

It is not a 4star property (re: luxury) but the service and attention to customer needs exceeded my expectations! These are some of the most immaculate cabins, rooms I've ever been in. Be aware that the towels, sheets, and convenience amenities are standard and frankly what should be expected of a value-priced mountain cabin, HOWEVER, I personally would rather have an immaculate room, hosted by gracious owners, than 5-star amenities in a less than immaculate room hosted by cold/unavailable owners. We rented 5 cabins for a family party in May and I would highly recommend this "motel" for anyone looking to spend time in Grand Lake.

We didn't stay here, but the owners kindly let us use their restrooms and pump up our tires with their air machine for free. The place looked quite clean and well kept with tasteful decor outside! Very nice folks

Agreed to do long term rentals for county workers through the summer, only to back on her word, and kick out everyone, including a young couple with a baby. Shame on you, should sue for displacement

The owners are fine friendly people. Room was very clean. The town of Grand Lake is so relaxing. And with Rocky Mountain National Park near, a lovely place to be.

DONT STAY HERE!! SCAMMED ME OUT OF $100!!! I do not recommend this place to anybody! We stayed here for two nights. It was very subpar there are a lot of better, nicer, and cleaner places in town to stay. Even worse than that after about a week I checked my bank account and they decided to charge me an extra $100. I called and asked why and they said the room smelled like smoke. The thing is I don't even smoke, neither does my wife and on top of that MY WIFE IS PREGNANT!! EVEN IF I DID SMOKE YOU REALLY THINK I WOULD DO IT IN THE SAME ROOM AS HER!During the conversation I explained this to him and he simply just said to bad!! There was no talking to this guy he didn't want to hear anything I had to say! He just said the room smelled bad so I charged you $100. I feel like this guy scammed me and nobody else should have to deal with that. Stay away from The Lone Eagle it'll cost you more than what was said in the beginning!! AGAIN THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACES TO STAY IN THE BEAUTIFUL TOWN OF GRAND LAKE!!

Rooms are perfectly clean and spacious. There is a cool retro vibe here, with original construction and new bedspreads. Very accessible to the charming town and beautiful lake.

The staff is really nice but- no microwave, trash can besides bathroom, extra towels after they leave at 8, terrible tv quality, bring your own shampoo and conditioner, they give you one small bottle of shampoo that smells weird and a bar or soap- our room was bottom very clean either-But really nice staff made up for it I guess- thought it was pricey for the quality

Clean, fresh rooms. Friendly staff. Only gave a 4 because the office smelled heavily of smoking.
