They do good work, fair pricing, I had my intake manifold gaskets done here, also wanted to see about a burning oil smell coming through the vents, I was told it's the rear main seal, while yes that did have a very small seep, I found it hard to accept that it could be causing the smell, as the fresh air vents are by the windshield, okay no biggie, had them go ahead and do some wiring repair, intake manifold gaskets, and coolant system pressure check.Fast forward still having the same smell of course, I took it in to another reputable shop we use for our fleet vehicles, they said rear main is still seeping, but the smell is coming from the valley cover gasket under the intake as it's leaking, and leaking for a long time according to them as it's pretty caked on there from time.I'm a little dissapointed they didn't let me know over here at Simpsons once they pulled the intake that it was obviously leaking and built up around that valley cover, at least let me know and see if I wanted to take care of that while the intake was off..So now I will have to redo it myself, or pay for the same job 2x to get the leak resolved.Again they do great work, and I had a good experience, but that kinda bummed me out that it wasn't brought to attention while it was already apart.

Simpson Brothers garage has always been honest and terrific with customer service. I bought a used car from a dealership and after my 3rd complementary oil change they sent me a service report with pictures stating what was wrong with my car. I am not a mechanic like most of the people that take their vehicles in to get serviced, so the pictures don t mean much to me. I just know that I didn t want to pay $2,500 to fix my car if it truly didn t need it.I took my car to Simpson Brothers Garage for a second opinion after letting them know exactly what the dealership told me. Simpson Brothers Garage could not find anything wrong with my car. They have earned my continued business and loyalty with their honestly and customer service.

These guys know what they re doing. Fair and honest, highly knowledgeable, courteous and professional in their dealings with customers. Over the past three years since I moved to Grand Junction whenever I have an automotive issue Simpson Brothers has been my go-to mechanic. I have recommended them to others and they have been very satisfied as well. They do not work on foreign cars.

I have taken my 1991 Nissan Pathfinder to Simpson Brothers since I moved to Grand Junction in the Fall of 2018. From my first visit to my most recent (November 2023) they've been great at keeping my old ride on the road. They've done everything from a tune up to timing belt replacement on my Pathy, as well as oil changes and many miscellaneous repairs and maintenance items that an old car requires. I've always found them to be friendly, accomodating, convenient, competent, and reasonably priced. I'm so glad I found them. Thanks as always to the whole crew at Simpson Brothers Garage!

Staff responded well when adding manufacturer's recommended milestone maintenance items. They also assisted and advised of other items needing maintenance consistent with age and mileage of our Honda CRV.

Came in for a few things wrong with my Jeep including sloppy steering and a door that wouldn t open from the outside. They fixed the steering just by tightening some bolts but left my door as a mess. The door handle wasn t screwed in correctly and fell off, one of the screws that holds the door panel in place is missing, and the screw that hold the door lock was half way in. Overall pretty disappointed. I feel like something as simple as tightening screws should be done correctly and it worries me what other short cuts they take.Services: Auto body & trim repair, Steering & suspension repair

Simpson Brorhers were able to get me an appointment quickly. Notified me before performing any services. Found more quick fixes to make my vehicle more road safe. From the first contact to completed service, this business takes care of you!We had a very unexpected radiator problem while driving down to GJ with a trailer. So I'm from NY been cross country road tripping the past month. Eventually broke down near this town. I towed my car with AAA to this shop when I broke down in the canyons. When I arrived with the driver everyone was super nice and they did their best to work with me. Again I'm not from here but they went above and beyond and drove me to a hotel to make sure I was safe.They even picked me up in the morning. I'm always a bit hesitant towards shops I'm not familiar with working on my car but these guys didn't try anything on me. Found out it was a small issue was completely honest and transparent the whole time. Great garage great people great service 10/10 thanks for the honesty you just don't get that everywhere when it comes to garages. If I ever break down again out here I know where I'm going. Thoroughly impressed with my treatment. Great people. Great service Thanks! Really helped squash my stress of breaking down across the country

Why is my review of Simpson Brothers Garage 5 stars? Because Google doesn t allow for 6 stars. We were traveling through the Grand Junction area towing our travel trailer with our 2015 Chevy Silverado. After seeing great reviews for these guys on Google, I called late yesterday to see if they could do an electrical check on our truck due to dimmer than usual headlights. Ron told me to have the truck there at 8 this morning, and they d work it in. Their test revealed that our truck s alternator was putting out less than half its rated amperage. Since the alternator had been replaced a year earlier in our home town in Washington State, Ron called the shop that had done the work to find out where they had sourced the part from. He then contacted the AC Delco warranty service in Denver to submit a claim on our behalf, found a replacement in Grand Junction, bumped aside another job his fine technician Wayne was working on, and got us back on the road in about 2-1/2 hours. Ron even drove my wife and me to a place he recommended for breakfast, and then picked us up later to take us back to the shop, where our truck was ready and waiting. And I was presented with a No charge bill because Ron s advocacy on our behalf with the warranty company resulted in AC Delco paying for the repair. Needless to say, I am also impressed with AC Delco Warranty Service for making good on the warranty. The above and beyond service we received from Simpson Brothers Garage today not only merits 6 stars, but prompts me to recommend this repair shop highly to anyone in need of automotive repair service. When I took my car into Simpson Brother's Garage last week I received my usual superb service. I have been doing business with the owner, Ron Walton, for 26 years, and throughout this span have been impressed with Ron's integrity, honesty, diagnostic expertise, and excellent customer service. Wow! These people care. They work to meet your critical needs, beyond just a car repair, beat time expectations, while doing top-notch work. My 2004 Honda Minivan is embedded in many of the most joyful years of my life, and today is mission critical in my food delivery work.I was referred to Simpson Brothers by another high-quality shop that does not work on hondas, and I stopped by and chatted with Paul and John last week to discuss my need for a quick turn around on my power steering issue.Since the minivan was still functioning, albeit leaving PS fluid along the way, we scheduled for this morning, which was a week out.I hoped that it wouldn t take more than a day, and I could have it back by 5 Pm.As agreed, I dropped it off by 8:30 and was happy to hear from Ron that they should have today s critical work done by noon. They gave me a ride home, where I was arranging a rental car, but before I could get that organized, and at 10:30, they called to tell me it was ready.The minivan is a project with lots of simmering issues, and we plan to get them done in same day service visits, but I m cheered by the fact that, with their concern for meeting my needs, we will get it all done on a triage basis.It s great to know I m now in good hands re auto repair issues.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I replaced the timing belt on my 2009 Accord and 6 months later it broke destroying my engine. My retired mechanic friend said that Simpson's Garage was the only place to go. Ron took in my basket case vehicle and within one week had me back on the road running beautifully at a very reasonable price. He is now working on my other vehicle. Ron runs an honest, affordable and highly skilled business.Service: Engine repair

When everything goes right every business owner runs a successful business. When things go wrong is when you really find out how a place is ran. I don't like when things break on my truck but I would say after my several experiences with Simpson Brothers Garage I have to say they are some of the best people in town and the only place I will ever take any of my vehicles to. Also because of the way they have dealt with me so fairly they're the only place that I could ever recommend. I think it would be very hard to find any business in this town that is around more ethically and upfront and honest than them. Thank you for taking care of me.
