Shrums's mechanics actually took the time to focus in and figure out what was wrong with my car. It had a problem for over a year that the dealership could not resolve. Shrums made sure the problem was fixed before giving it back to me and my car has been working great ever since (a few months later). I really appreciate them and highly recommend them to anyone.

Have always had great service from Shrums. Sam is honest and upfront, the techs do great work, on time and stand behind what they do. They recently rebuilt my transmission and it has worked great. Took my car there recently to have my torque converter replaced and an alignment. They had it for two weeks when I picked it up the steering wheel was loose, there was a crack in my windshield and it was a mess on the inside. I had to get it towed because eventually it wasn't safe to drive the shop that I took it to had to completely replace all the panels underneath my car and found the bolt that holds the steering column in place under the drivers side floor mat.Service: Transmission

we purchased a vehicle and the transmission was having issues. it was sent to this shop where our tool box, tools and jumper cables were stolen. of course no one will confess and there wasn t anything found on the cameras super upset about it

Took longer than anticipated. Got my clutch replaced and a day after driving it noticed one of my motor mounts was loose due to them. I could have ruined my engine. I work full time and got it in s little under a week later they fixed it for free of course but not with put attitude and it was extremely awkward. When I pick it and asked what happened it was treated as something I did even tho it clearly wasn't. Wouldn't say a good shop but they owned up when I called them on it

I used to really enjoy this establishment as they are good mechanics. Recently I took my truck there paid in advance and had several issues. Sam the owner has no people skills and is a grouchy old man. He was told to repair one thing and decided to repair another for same price. When I contacted him for a copy of invoice he never sent it or returned my calls. I will never use them again!

This was a different situation that came up. Details are not relevant, what is though is the outcome. Working with Sam I was very pleased with the outcome. We were both able to state our differences and come together to make both parties happy. Sam went above and beyond to help the situation. I cant express enough thanks towards Shrums automotive. There is a reason I have continually referred Shrums to many, and will continue to do so, along with using there with our business. Thank you! Was treated very fairly.!

Shrums was considerably cheaper than the Ford dealership rebuilding my transmission. Sam was great to deal with and James, the mechanic who worked on my transmission, even came out and talked to me. I felt really good about these guys. Fast and professional, dropped it off and it was finished in one week. Highly recommended.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I have never had an automotive repair shop cost me $13,500 without fixing my car. They did not fill up my oil after repairing it and my engine seized. I paid them to replace the engine and now my car is overheating. I took it back to Shrums and the owner Sam did not believe me and then said he would not be willing to look at it again. They replaced my transmission, radiator and engine and I still have overheating issues with my car. This is the last place I would ever take my car. Don t be the next person to waste $13,500 on repairs and get your car back and it still does not run!!! Absolutely terrible experience. Took my car in for warranty work. It needed a new rear end and they called me to drop off in the morning and by the end of same day I picked up my car. No more rear end problems. Thanks guys

Fixed my van 3 different times just for my same transmission and fuel pump problems to come back months later. Lazy workers trying to do as little as possible to avoid doing what people need.

Update:Called for a simple repair and the guy who answered the phone was very rude. Acting like I m wasting you re time when I simply wanted a quote and then quoting me for parts when I had already explained I have the parts just need help can be very diminishing. Wouldn t recommend anymore but unfair to remove the previous opinion. I m sure they don t need the business and I m sure you don t need the disrespect.Worked hard and fast! Had a warranty repair and they treated me like a priority when most would put me at the back of the line. That was 2020.

Very friendly, professional, trustworthy & honest. Quoted me 4000.00 and completed in 4 days over the phone to fix my transmission on one of my work vans. I got it back in 2 days at the only charged me 1k.

The professional experience of the automotive technicians and the honesty of the management place this company head and shoulders above many other garages in Grand Junction.I brought them my truck and openly told them of an estimate I had received from another well respected company.Pretty soon they told me that they could perform the work for $400.00 less than that estimate. That was because of their experience... they knew better ways of doing the work that saved hours of labor.In addition, they could easily have padded their estimate and made more money and still have pleased me since I don't know that much about mechanics. Shrum's did not do that. What a company. I may not see when someone has taken advantage of me, but I do see when someone has integrity, and Shrum's has integrity.You can not go wrong with Shrum's.

Traveling from Colo Springs to Moab and blew a spark plug out of a cylinder in my Ford e350 van. Got towed to a local shop that couldn t perform the repair. Called every shop in town- same story, and they were booked weeks out. Called around in GJ. Muellers recommended us to Shrums (the man I spoke with at Mueller s actually put me on hold and HE called Shrums so I feel like I recommend them too!). Shrums said they could get us in next day no problem.Got towed to Junction and they took us same day! We drove away three hours later, originally thinking we were going to be stuck for DAYS. I DONT KNOW HOW TO EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE! Thank you so much guys, especially Sam, who was one of the MOST kind, helpful, good natured people I ve met in a long time. Sam and the Shrums team are amazing. They got my truck in, fixed and back on the road in less than 24 hours. They are friendly, knowledgeable automotive experts.EDIT: I called down here knowing I had another looming repair. Sam got me In THAT MORNING and had my truck FIXED THAT AFTERNOON. Awesome service!

The absolute best place to get your car fixed in grand junction! The owner is so friendly and goes above and beyond. They have quick service and fair pricing. We would recommend Sam and Shrums Automotive to anyone!

I brought my vehicle in today with a busted radiator. Sam and his staff were extremely friendly, squeezed me in although they were busy, and fixed the issue promptly with a reasonable price. Even provides me a ride downtown so I could get some food while my car was being worked on. Will definitely go back with any future issues!

I would rate a 0 star if there was that option, took my car in charged me amost $400 and did not fix the problem. Was told to bring it back in and when i called to check if they had fixed it Sam was very rude and would say its not done and hang up, very unprofessional. I called again and was put on hold and they never came back. I would not recommend Shrums to anybody they are very unprofessional and charge you and never fix your car!!

The service was excellent and prices fair. I would highly recommend. I had a 150 k tune up. They were very thorough. The owner was friendly and informative. No hidden costs. Try them out, there great

Sam at Shrums is amazing, he told me what was happening the whole way through the ordeal. Their work is great and I am super happy with the whole experience. I would highly recommend these guys!

Well I took my 2001 honda odyssey to many places just to find a transmission leak.. i got the run around and charged alot of money from these shops over 500 bucks between the shops.. Then my dad reminded me about Shrums I forgot they worked on transmission..They got my van in next day and found leak didn't charge a dime.. then brought it in for the work 3 months later and they got me in right away and it took only 5 days to take out the whole tranny and replace all seals.. got it home and it had a leak and the got me right back in and fixed all the problems at no cost to me and gave me a warranty. Have to say Sam and Josh are great and the tech James was so nice to fix all my problems.. Big thanks you guys for your hard work... Need a tune up here soon I'll be coming to them..

Summer 2017, my 2001 Toyota 4runner blew a head gasket in Grand Junction, CO. They got my car fixed up and running in less than 48 hrs. They serviced my car at ~181k miles. I recently sold it at 207k miles. It was still going strong after the repair.

I would give this place 0 stars if that was an option! I brought my car in under warranty and when they "fixed" the problem I got it back with a different issue. After I spoke about the problem that was affecting my car when I got it back they said that they would look at it and if it was caused by them then they'd fix it for free of course. I had to pay 80$ for them to fix something else that they invented and the problem I took it in for still wasn't fixed! Then, I find that they didn't even clamp the radiator hose down so the radiator blew fluid all over my car! I will never trust my car to these crooks ever again!
