Decent mechanics horrible management. After spending $5500 to clear error codes on my car. They were sure it's all finished. I get home and check engine light is back. They tell me to bring it in to take a look. No quote or word on what they will do. The genius owner decides to reprogram the CPU without telling me. This repair is for lightning damage so all parts in question need to replaced. 3 hours later I'm hit with an $800 bill that of course didn't fix anything and the crook doesn't warranty anything! Horrible! For a high end place you'd think they run anything by you over $100. But no. I never agreed to such a dumb procedure. The owners replies, too bad bc he hooked it up to a machine so I must pay!Dear mechanics, please open your own place to leave this criminal on his own. Call it Mercedes Masters and I'll pay your 1st month's rent. Worst service for such an expensive place. Had to go to a REAL professional in the Springs to finish what they couldn't!

Completely missed the mark with a customer of mine, she came in very upset and when I looked at her Mercedes, Alpine auto had completely disabled her trunk, just to replace a taillight. They left all the carpeting displaced around the taillight and you could tell they had used a test light on every fuse and wire. They told this poor lady she had to pay for a new trunk latch. At some ridiculous price because now it won't open anymore.I told her I would look at it for free, and after a couple minutes I figured out these guys put the trunk in valet mode. Disabling it from being opened with anything but the key. I fixed that for her and the carpeting and showed her what happened. You think these foreign car "experts" would've known that or were they just trying to rip her off?Not a good look that's for sure

Good work, expensive as all German shops are. They did overfill my oil by almost half a quart. While it didn't cause any issues I think it's worth mentioning.

I took my car here to get a coolant leak fixed. Staff was consistently rude and unprofessional. I came to pick up my car at noon as they requested, and when I got there the door was locked and no one answered the phones. Over an hour later they got back to me and told me they all "decided to go out for lunch." At the same time they told me to come collect my car.I took my car in again for an inspection a few months later as it was still leaking coolant. I come back to pick it up and my door handle is BROKEN. They told me to come in the next day and they would fix it. I bring the car down, and they now deny that they broke my handle and want ME to pay to fix it, and also tell me they are too busy to fix it today would you please come back next week.Horrible experience from beginning to end with these people. I've since taken my car to The Foreign Aid, who did a wonderful job with my car and were very pleasant.Don't ever take your car to these people if you don't want your car damaged.Service: General repairs & maintenance

One of the only places I can trust in town. Even if I'm buying a car, I take it to these guys first to check it out.My brother thought he had a bad wheel bearing but after a quick look they confirmed it was just too much mud in the wheels. They do not charge you for unnecessary repairs. We need more shops like this.

I personally haven t had the best experience with these people. I bought a VW and took it here and had the timing belt, thermostat, water pump and spark plugs done as well as an oil change. I drove it for maybe a month and half before I got a low oil pressure light to which I took it to them and they tried to tell me it needed an entire new engine. Upon further inspection on my own time the oil pickup tube was clogged and once I unclogged it it runs like a gem. Here s the kicker when I was doing this work I had to get my car to TDC and to do that I had to check my harmonic balancer and the timing belt doesn t even look new at al. To say the least I m very disappointed I spent a little over $2K at this shop and the people aren t even honest about their work.

I would just like to share that I have been a customer of these Alpine boys for a few years now. I can call them last minute for an issue and they ALWAYS fit me in fast, always get my car fixed in a short amount of time, and always keep it affordable and make me feel like they have put me above everyone else even. Which I m sure they do to all their customers, but Sean, Colton, Jamie, you guys are class acts and I am so glad I have you when things go wrong with my car. I recommend them fully for all services from motor to oil changes. They are just good people who know these cars and once again this week they saved the day for me.if I could put 100 stars I would.Service: Engine repair

Great shop. I'm a car guy and do all of the mantinence on our four vehicles and one motorcycle. BUT, when you're on vacation 1,100 miles from home and your turbo charge pipe explodes on your BMW you need a shop that knows what they are doing. I did my reserach on local shops that specialize in BMW, etc and after waiting only one day for a new part, I limped the car from the Moab area to Grand Junction. Alpine Autohaus did such a great job with the repair. A+ Highly recommend. -MM

The guys at Alpine Autohaus are top notch! I was traveling through junction when my 85 Vanagon experienced loss of power. I called early the morning of July 5th and was back on the road later that afternoon. Not only were they able to squeeze me in same day, they kept in touch with me throughout the day updating me on the progress. They replaced the fuel pump, filters, and fuel lines and the van tackled red mountain, molas, and coal bank pass with ease a few hours later. Highly recommend this shop and the quality mechanics working there.

I took my RV with a Mercedes Sprinter diesel engine to Alpine Autohaus with power issues. They found and fixed the issue within the week and were professional and responsive with updates. Great to have my RV working again!

After a horrible experience at the "other foreign auto place" in Grand Junction, I was a little gun shy about getting my BMW serviced. The care and service I received at Alpine Autohaus was absolutely top-notch. I was treated courteously, and was kept apprised of progress throughout the time the car was in the shop. Honestly, I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the service from beginning to end. Colton kept me informed, handled the warranty paperwork, and was so easy to work with. Thanks to all the great folks at Alpine Autohaus! I'd recommend them highly!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Oil change

Took Audi q5 for an inspection as we have a small coolant leak. Dropped off in the AM and had to call around 4pm to see if it was ready. They said they were just looking at it. Then 2 min later called back and said it s ready. They didn t find anything that was leaking or would result in a leak. Charged us over 200 just to look at it. Still leaking and need to fill the coolant tank again. Seriously considered doing all business with this place. But I ll need to look else where. I doubt they even looked at my car.

Great, friendly staff was very helpful and accommodating. We were traveling from Alaska in our motor home and were having issues with our brake lights and trailer lights. Called in the morning to see if they could squeeze us in and they got us in quickly for a diagnostic check. We appreciated their excellent customer service when good service seems hard to find these days. Highly recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Closest dealer for my Volvo is 6 hours away. AC was out and was two years without service. Someone on a msg board recommended Alpine Autohaus and I was not dissapointed. The general service work was done within a day. However, I did need to wait for an ac compressor, which had failed. Not the shops fault and I understood the delay in getting parts for it. Picked up the car in great shape and with working ac. Place was clean and professional. Staff friendly and accomidating...even got a free car wash since they didn't get time to do that. Will be my regular service shop for my car.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

Great customer service. Was able to get in and get my vehicle back with an oil change and headlight bulbs on very short notice within a couple hours.

Honest, professional, knowledgeable. The crew at Alpine autohaus continues to go above and beyond my expectations. My older, high mileage vehicle had a number of issues present over the years and every time I was presented with options in a timely professional manner and treated respectfully. Recently I had the opportunity to purchase a new (to me) suv from out of town. Alpine did a pre-purchase inspection and gave me a list of pros and cons. They are the best.I highly recommend Alpine Autohaus to everyone.Services: Transmission, Oil change

Alpine Autohaus towed in my car from the dealership and performed a head job to remedy the intake valves which bent when the timing chain slipped off. The dealership would only do a full engine replacement, AA was the only one who seemed trustworthy and could do the head job. They are pretty good at communication, it was done reasonably on time, and it seems to have been good work. Highly recommend.

Honestly, have never made a review as I'm not the review type but I'm out of options at this point. After 10 weeks with my 1972 Mercedes 350sl roadster in his shop with a fuel pump issue (I even installed the fuel pump), my car still has not been worked on. We have had to check up or call to see if anything has been done repeatedly. We have never received any follow up unless we left messages. I was now just told by the owner that he has to put more lucrative cars in front of mine because he is short on techs and then told me the best he could do is "at least three weeks from now we might get it in, but no promises". When I said that this is getting unacceptable and what does he suggest, he said and I quote "wait until I slow down or come get the car and take it to Denver" then hung up on me!. Now, I used to run a shop with classic car restoration and know a little bit about the industry. I got several great recommendations for these guys on this type of car but my jaw is still on the floor. I've never been treated this way by any business in my life. I've been extremely patient but the convertible season is nearing an end and I have been able to drive the car zero times this summer. I can in no way recommend these guys!

I purchased a car that Alpine Autohaus has done some engine work on last September. The bottom end of the engine locked up in June and I had it towed to Alpine Autohaus. They have offered to help with repair because I had driven the car less than 5,000 miles. I recommended this shop before this incident and will continue to recommend them. If you find a good, honest, caring repair shop you stay with them. I am a customer for life of Alpine Autohaus.

We were on a 3 month road trip with our baby when our 1985 Vanagon started to have cranking issues and a deep spongy clutch. They accepted the job even though we have a 2014 Jetta motor swap, which other shop declined to even look at. They made place in their schedule to see us quickly considering our situation. The issues were found and resolved in a day! 5 star service!

I had undoubtedly the best car breakdown experience of my life with Alpine Autohaus. Passing through in my VW Westy with plans for adventure, I blew a big leak. Not only were they able to immediately help me. Not only were they dog friendly, people friendly, fair priced and knowledgeable. They flexed to my circumstances and threw me the keys to their personal car to use while I was stranded. Who does that???!!! Unbelievable. Simply amazing. I also can tell you that I witnessed similar acts of kindness being paid to other customers as they came and went. They run this place with their heart, equal passion for people and doing a great job. Thank you and I ll never forgot it.

The folks at Alpine Autohaus provide good service and pricing. I asked for a quote ahead of time and appreciated the timely manner for them to put it together. The actual work cost was less than the quote so that was an added plus.

I've taken my Audi to several other places in town but this place has definitely been the best experience. Friendly professional staff, honest, excellent work, quick turnaround time. Not going anywhere else from now on.
