After stopping at a few other locations, encoutered Dave at this shop. He was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. While another shop in town said they could not remove the screw in my tire and patch it for three weeks, Dave had me on the road in a little more than a half hour. If you need tire or automobile repairs in Granby, I'd start here. I recommend Grand County Automotive.

We are working a summer job in Grand Lake and needed service on our truck early on. Appointments were a few weeks out for Grand County Automotive and we learned why. The owner/operator is a stand up mechanic who does good work and is highly respected and sought after in the area. His prices are fair and he didn t do any unnecessary work. Now that it s coming near the end of the season, we wanted to get new tires and bearings on our camper before we leave town. We made our appointment a month ago and had the work done today. The owner was again so fair and honest. He said our bearings look great and don t need to be replaced. Other mechanics would have just done it and made the extra $. We very much appreciate honest mechanics and highly recommend Grand County Automotive.Service: Tires

I am a photographer and I have never been treated in this terrible manner before.I spent all day walking around Granby (all public areas) taking photos of the beautiful snowy scenery and didn't have any problems at all until I came to the end of the main street sidewalk and near this place. I stopped for a short break after walking without rest for several hours and took some pictures of the mountains while I caught my breathe. Not long after I felt eyes behind me. I turned my head and sure enough there was someone walking towards me. I assumed, wrongly, that they were going to ask if I needed assistance, as most self respecting shops do, instead I noticed them stop and silently stare at me. I presume they thought they were hidden from my sight. They weren't and it felt predatory to be stared at in that manner.I decided to turn back after that, not feeling safe, and not soon after I get stopped by a disheveled looking woman who then asks me why I was taking pictures of her lot. I look at her confused, "What lot?" I asked and she points out the half empty parking lot and modest shop I'd just had the displeasure of walking by. Upset and within my right to not tell her anything about my personal business I informed her that I was a photographer, showed her my camera and told her that I didn't take photos of any lot.She drove off but that was not the end of my woes! I was nearing the fire station where I had been staying at for a couple of days when I got stopped by a very nice gentleman of a cop. He explained that I had gotten called in for suspicious activity. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY!? Since when is walking about public roads and sidewalks taking photos of a beautiful landscape suspicious? I gave him a look of disbelief and began explaining my experience with photos to prove it! He let me go on my way after giving me his card so people like this don't bother me again!

David, the owner is awesome. He took care of my company vehicle on a Saturday, and he wasn't even supposed to be open. This man has integrity and is honest. I would recommend his shop to anyone.

My local boat mechanic recommended them to us. Had a screw in my boat trailer tire. I removed the tire myself from the trailer and dropped off only the tire, so all they had to do was repair the tire. Charged us $50. Two stars because they did it overnight. But, I think that s too much to charge. Impersonal customer service. Tire repair is not something I would think I need to shop around for. But will next time.

Just a few days ago I drove into Grand County Automotive with brake issues. I was from out of town, had a carload of people and it was later in the day. Dave finished up working on another car and started working on mine. Luckily the part that was needed was at Napa, who delivered it to Dave (also great service), and we were on our way probably after a total of just 1.5 hours. He had explained what was wrong, we took pictures of the issue (it was the fault of a mechanic in Denver, who has since reimbursed me), and I can t say enough of how kind, thorough, professional, fair just everything you would want in a mechanic and business. BRAVO!Service: Brakes

I appreciate that when I visit Grand County Automotive I feel like I am listened to and that doesn't always happen especially being a woman taking your truck into the shop. Fair and upfront estimates so you don't have sticker shock when you pay your bill. And great communication with updates while my truck was being fixed. Thanks so much!

Got into a jam and needed two tires mounted due to walmart back in denver screwing us over. Drove the pass with very very bald tires in the dark because of it. Can't do it again without getting the tires mounted and she quoted me $75 per tire without skipping a beat. Dont expect decency from anyone in this town other than Bill's AUTO PLACE at 622 E Garnet Ave. Not only is he reasonable but he is POLITE. unlike every other shop in town. Thank you BILL.

We broke down in the mountains with no signal. I had someone bring me down from the mountain to the closest auto mechanic which was Grand County Auto!!! These beautiful people were so kind and gracious to allow me to stay there until a tow truck could come and tow our truck and trailer. You don't seee grace like this much anymore in this world. Thank you Dave and Chris!!! You and Grand County will always hold a special place in our hearts and memory and we will forever be grateful to you!!

My first day in Granby after driving for 3 days from TN was spent getting my 1999 Subaru Outback a new ignition system. I knew no one but a guy who worked at the store down the road said Grand County Automotive was the place to go and he was right. Dave got on my car quickly and told me everything the car needed. Whatever parts he needed were delivered within a few minutes and I was back on the road sooner than later after paying a fair and honest repair bill. Dave and his wife are very respectful and real people.

10 stars to this business! Coming down from Rocky Mountain N.P. my engine light in my RV came on. They checked it out for me right away, not even charging me for the computer check...nothing serious. Thank you!
