Our experience has been beyond our dreams. We have been adventuring in a tent for over 50 years. John and his team created our home on wheels allowing us a comfort and function in custom style.Our tiny home will take us Hiking, Biking and Sea Kayaking for generations to come; our adult Grandchildren are claiming this inheritance.Thank you John and Team

I had the opportunity to work with John and his team on a unique project for a local police department. Their motto, "you dream it, we build it," is not just a tag line-- it is exactly what I experienced. We were looking to upfit a Transit van to use in a work capacity for public safety. John communicates very well and provided several different options to fit within our budget as well as weekly updates along the build-out process. The van they built was atypical from what they are used to working on and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! So impressed with the craftsmanship and quality finishing of CAV. You won't regret working with them. First class folks!

These guys have been lifesavers. What a great team! I built my van in Utah, and needed a local CO company to help with the day to day nuances that come with owning a van. Whether its electrical work, plumbing, or design, they are available to help and support. Highly recommend!!

Darren and team are exceptional. When other up-fitters and dealers say It will be 3-4 months , Darren says bring it by tomorrow . The work they have done on my Revel has transformed the comfort and performance. If you want great customer service and to be treated like a member of a family, CO Adventure Vans is the place to go.

I worked with�Darren and the guys at Colorado Adventure Vans on several mods to my Mercedes Sprinter Van including suspension, tires/wheels, wiring and mounting fridge slide, winch, lights and custom fabricated cabinets.� Darren was easy to work with, he made suggestions and most importantly, he listened.� We discussed how I would be using the van and he made suggestions on how to make everything work.� Darren and the rest of the guys in the shop were also very accommodating with some changes I asked for along the way as the build evolved.� Everyone in the shop made a point of saying hello, remembering my name and treating me absolute professionalism.� I am really happy with the end result and highly recommend Colorado Adventure Vans.� The cabinets they installed look factory!� I will be going back to Darren for all my future projects.

These guys are the best! I live in NC and my Van conversion was built in Texas. I always wondered what would happen if I had a problem on the road because most conversion shops won t or don t have time, to work on another shop s build. Not anymore. When my diesel furnace quit in the middle of a trip, I was near Golden, CO and after a few no s from other shops, CAV got me in right away, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. They also patiently explained and showed me the problem and the fix, and what to do going forward to prevent a recurrence. I was so impressed I ve been back a few times for an audio upgrade, Rolef screen and other mods. Very happy with the service and cost. Highly, highly recommend.Service: Electrical

Great exploration in "Honey" to Golden Gate Canyon State Park! Just 35 mins away from Colorado Adventure Van shop to hiking, nature, Panorama Point views and so much more. The comfort and ease of the van and all of the well thought out amenities made camping in 25 degrees a breeze! This is a fun way to get away for a long weekend or longer to recharge. Thanks John for the memorable adventure ;)

John and Ryan worked very hard to evaluate and upgrade my Van. They gave me very accurate estimates and recommendations. Ryan is an expert at installing and upgrading my batteries to LiOn. Also a new3000 w inverter and alternator to charge the batteries. We are now able to camp for extended periods without worrying about the batteries draining completely and having to run the generator. I am very happy with the new RV power that we have now. I highly recommend Colorado Adventure Vans for primary van builds and for upgrades to a a you already have.TonyServices: Electrical, Battery

I ve been thinking about buying a Mercedes Sprinter Camper van. What a great experience to rent from Colorado Adventure Vans. Wonderful, friendly and helpful service and the vehicle was perfect. Amazing craftsmanship! An easy half hour of driving and we were in beautiful wilderness.

John was great at helping me troubleshoot a small leak in the roof of my van. He came up a quick an easy solution to reseal some areas on my roof, and after a night of heavy rain there is no sign of water anywhere. Highly recommend John and Custom Adventure Vans for any van work!

In the three plus years that I have been doing van life, I have spent my fair share of time in and out of repair shops and up-fitter shops.� I can honestly say I have never had a better experience than the one I had at Colorado Adventure Van.When I found myself without heat or hot water in January it was beyond a stressful�situation.� Darren and Matt were knowledgable and so friendly to deal with.� They listened to what I had to say and were truly invested in helping to get me back on the road quickly.They did not just throw money and parts at the problem like a lot of shops do.� They were never dismissive of my concerns, and they walked me through a lot of the process while communicating great with me the entire time.I am so grateful to have found a shop in Colorado that I can count on and trust to repair my home.� I would not hesitate to go back to them for any repair big or small! I can not stress enough how great of an experience it was to deal with them.

John, Ryan and team have been a life saver. Our builder relocated and they have stepped in to repair or add some new upgrades to our Sprinter. Always as quoted financially and time wise. They are our new go to guys!! So glad we found CAV!

What a relief when I discovered Colorado Adventure Vans and was able to flee the sluggish Winnebago dealer service regime which required distant appointments and two week turn around for even simple servicing of my 2020 Revel. CAV, in contrast, schedules even detailed service quickly and turns my rig back over to me promptly and very professionally.CAV builds and services all manner of vans. They are also Revel experts. They have performed the following upgrades on my rig: Increased power system Improved off road suspension system Winch system-front or rear option Lithium ion battery system Outside storage capacity Next up? Increased solar capacityIn addition, these fellows service my Espar diesel coach heater. You get the idea. All tasks are performed quickly and per my scheduling needs. That is extremely important to me because I am a full time Revel user.My entire interface with CAV has been with John Comisky, who has been with the company since 2018. In March of 2022 John purchased CAV from Darren Tank. The transition of ownership has been seamless. Same stellar advice, workmanship and accommodating scheduling.All the fellows at the company are great guys by the way. Colorado Adventure Vans are simply the best in the business.

These guys are fantastic. They upgraded my camper van, including diagnosing all electrical issues and improving charging and electricity usage to optimize solar panels and battery life, adding components, and repairing some key items I use every day. They were expert on every point, talked me through the options, saved money wherever they could, and even did my long fix-it list of small stuff. I think very importantly, they recommended against things they thought weren't worth the cost. So, it was the opposite of upsell, and all about building a good relationship with the customer. The repairs and improvements were done perfectly, rapidly, and for a very reasonable cost. Highly highly recommend.

Loved working with these guys!! I had them install a jump seat. They completed the work I requested on time and consulted with me about other things while I'm doing my own van build. Every-time I go in there, I see some of the work they are doing and it looks great! Highly Recommend and I'll definitely be back for more upgrades when I decide that I need a real professional to help during my build.

I selected Colorado Custom Adventure Vans twice and I thoroughly enjoy working with John and his team. When discussing a project with their Custom Adventure Van team, I feel heard. They work within my timelines and budget. They never over sell me. And they always over deliver! Before selecting a van outfitter, I spoke with several various customizing van shops before selecting Colorado Custom Adventure Vans in Golden. I found during my research it was important to compile a list of questions before interviewing off the grid van businesses. Not every biz owner has good people skills or communication skills. To customize a van the way a customer desires, it requires the outfitters to have great listening skills, driven by their desire to make customers smile.Colorado Custom Adventure Vans does excellent work and I d recommend them for customizing Vans, converted ambulances, buses and off the grid trucks. I had Colorado adventure vans upfit a couple of work vans/sprinters. John and his team made recommendations on what would work best for my budget, helped source the correct parts and accessories, and ran with it. These guys are pros at what they do.

After interviewing multiple upfitters to customize my Sprinter, I decided to go with CAV. Darren spent a great of deal time to fully understand the concepts for the van and made recommendations based on his past experience on previous builds. It was a true collaborative process. Darren and his crew were very easy and enjoyable to work with. They also continued to impress throughout the build with an incredible eye for detail and quality. They are true craftsmen in their field.

Love, Love, LOVE our Sprinter camper van custom built by Colorado Adventure Vans. Their attention to detail is unparalleled. They drove it out to Vermont for us and gave a complete run down of the functionality of accessories. They are quick to respond to questions via text or email and stand behind their work 100%. When we had slight issue with a malfunctioning part, Darren was on a plane to fix within a few days. True professionals.

I've been to Colorado Adventure Vans twice now for project work. I did my own Sprinter conversion, and made some uninformed decisions as I went along. When it came time to get some help, I chose these guys.Project one was to insulate my rear doors and install slider windows for better ventilation. Honestly, after seeing how they insulated the rear doors, I wish I would have had them do my whole van. They used several layers of spray-on insulation that looks like the "popcorn ceiling" you used to see in houses in the 90s. It takes up so little space, but it works just as well as the thick foam core I've got insulating the rest of the van. The windows look great too.Project two was to help me find some electrical gremlins that had been evading my own diagnosis for months. They took their time going over my electrical setup, and swapped out my BIM for a more efficient charger. They also installed a bluetooth enabled shunt on my battery bank so I can monitor my battery life from my phone. They took their time making sure everything worked properly before turning it back over to me.Both projects, they did great work, and everyone was super helpful, friendly, and patient. I never got the "little lady" treatment from them that I've gotten at other shops. 100% professionalism. I'm planning to go back for some more project work, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs help with their build. (And if I could afford a full custom build, they'd be at the top of my list.)

Working with Darren and the team at Colorado Adventure Vans (CAV) has been great!We purchased a full upfit from CAV and couldn't be happier with the Van, perfect road trip/camp vehicle for our crew...three long ski trips intonthe year and the van has been fantastic.Great build quality, attention to detail, and fantastic after sales support...can't recommend these folks enough!

It was a relief to find Colorado Adventure Vans after a not-so-stellar experience with another up fitter who cut corners and did shabby work installing a floor liner in my Revel.The team at Colorado Adventure Vans has done many upgrades to my van including installing a new permanent ladder, building custom cabinets in the garage, replacing the floor liner, and upgrading with new speakers & Apple CarPlay.They also fixed a leaking water line to my cassette toilet, installed a new thermostat, fixed a broken cable I dislocated under the driver s seat, replaced a broken switch and even created a custom art bandaid with a mtb scene on a metal panel (thanks Steve) for a dent in the back door.The customer service isn t just way above par customer service. I believe they genuinely care about folks and their vans. The guys take time to chat about mountian biking or recent adventuring, kids, dogs and life in general. I never feel rushed or brushed aside. I know Darren isn t happy with the work they complete unless I am happy.While being a perfectionist (Darren) can have its challenges having a shop work on my rig that values and takes pride in its workmanship to the level Colorado Adventure Vans does has always left me 100% satisfied.Be careful looking at their work. It will keep you going back for more upgrades and modifications.

These guys not only exceeded my expectations, they finished my build in record time! I had an idea and they worked with me through the whole process. I think if anyone is looking for a build or to buy a completely finished Sprinter van, look no further as the quality and craftsmanship provided by Darren and the crew at Colorado Adventure Vans is top shelf!

I highly recommend Darren and his team at CAV.When we first bought our cargo van, we took it to one of CAV's competitors to be up-fitted. We were very disappointed in the process and the finished product.After that bad experience, we took the van to CAV. They fixed the problem the other up-fitter had left us with, and they made a bunch of improvements. They were easy and fun to work with. More importantly, they showed an attention to detail and a pride in workmanship that the other up-fitter completely lacked.Don't make the same mistake we did. Take your van to CAV!

Had CAV build out my 2017 2500 extend to meet my needs for moto, mountain biking and camping with the family. I couldn't be happier. Darren and his team listened to my needs and came up with some great ideas on how to get the most out of my van. They delivered it on time and on budget and I'm enjoying it immensely. Their attention to detail blows me away. Have some great trips planned this summer! Thanks guys!!
