The work on my automobile reflects the experience and professionalism of a grea shop. My car left this shop only when it had been thoroughly repaired or maintained by trained, knowledgeable, dedicated auto technicians. Greg strived to develop loyal customers for the lifetime of the vehicle. I trust the work performed at this shop to exceed the quality of any other shop anywhere.

Drove my 1999 Corolla to the closest shop (this one) to me after losing powered steering and finding the serpentine belt under my car in a parking lot. After being greeted by a couple of talkative men, I sat in the waiting room until I was called and one of these guys (the owner?) drove my car to the garage door. The guy got out of my car while it was running and said he noticed my interlock device. With his back turned to my car, he tried to sell me on the device that his shop carried for several minutes, at which point I noticed thick vapor coming from under my car's hood and said "that shouldn't be doing that." This guy turned around, panicked and pulled the car into the garage immediately. They did an "inspection," and quoted me something like $2800 to fix a problem I had never seen until this man ignored my vehicle while trying to sell a product that had nothing to do with the reason I came in. The man who destroyed my car then quitely said "well, you did drive without a serpentine belt" and effectively blamed me for destroying my vehicle.This happened in 2018 and I have not been able to afford a different car or repairs to the one this shop destroyed since. Maybe it was my fault for trusting these people, but I would expect a person who owns an automotive repair business (or smartphone) to know that ignoring a running vehicle with no serpentine belt would overheat and effectively destroy it. At least they helped me push it to the tow truck bed the next day.

Greg doubled the price of parts and labor to quote me at 1500$ for a brake job. Unheard of. Just got it done for 700 at a different shop he wouldn t answer my calls when I was trying to cancel it, then charged me almost 200$ just to get my car back. I got scammed. Talked to 3 other mechanics who are shocked at that $1500 quote. I can t find any evidence of a brake job costing that much anywhere. Double check your prices, ask for part numbers. He claims it s because of quality parts but I can t find anything close to that expensive. Sorry man I ve got too many close car friends to pull that on me.

Great place to take your car! Greg and his staff are amazing. They take pride in there work. The shop is beautiful. Clean and a great place to wait for an oil change. I highly recommend this place!

Greg is such a nice guy. Walked me through everything that needed to be done to my car and why. Explained all the costs. And when I needed new tires, he even help me set up a last minute appointment. Super knowledgeable and friendly. Amazing experience, I highly recommend!!!We had the best experience with Greg and his team! We were stuck in Golden with our van and when we called at Advanced Automotive, Greg was already in solution mode. Their schedule was full, but he told us that he will do his best to pass us between appointments to check our van. As soon as we got there, they checked our van and the problem was fixed the day after!Greg is very knowledgeable and super kind! I'll start by saying Greg and his team are very professional and there is no doubt in my mind that they know what they are doing. Shop is very clean..I have always worked on my own vehicles, but will bring them to trust worthy mechanics for certain things that are not worth my time. I brought my vehicle to the shop to fix the lock on my door handle and clear a faulty code... figuring this should only cost, at the very most, $200-$300 since I'm telling him exactly what I need done and the code issue takes 5 minutes. I've never been charged for that by multiple mechanics in the past and they've all said the same thing about it. Greg insisted that this is a massive problem and there is no such thing as "clearing a code". Saying that we need to do a full diagnostics and start looking at the engine... costing $1k+. The truck has 240k miles, is 16 y/o, and runs fine. I'm not racing this at the Daytona 500 and I told him exactly what the problem is, but he did not care about my opinion. Not to mention the door handle is now going to be $300+. For that price, I'd rather have a door that doesn't lock and a OBD light on the dash all the time. So I had to back out on that. I'll just do it myself. But what really grinded my gears was the additional $180 "diagnostics" I was charged for him to look at my door handle and some wires for 1 hour. I get it, nothing is free and its what I signed up for - but that is some BS. When you have a new customer, and they are on the fence with spending $300+ for a fairly simple repair on a door lock (which is re-using the old lock) and possibly more work in the future, don't charge them $180 when nothing has been done except go home and think on it! Your opportunity cost is much higher than $180. An honest mechanic would not charge for my visit that day, even if that is standard protocol with the shop. It would be different if they had to put it on a lift/working on something serious...Service: General repairs & maintenance

After our car breaking down in Golden, we had trouble finding a mechanic who had space to take us. We had to have it fixed by Saturday, and they stayed late Friday to get it fixed up so we could get back to our families across state lines. That was amazing service and we are all so grateful. We were without service most the trip (went backpacking) and he left 4 messages with updates on the process.Greg (owner) had a great demeanor, and takes a ton of pride in his shop. Something was just different about this place if i still lived in Golden, no, Colorado, I would go out of my way to have him service my vehicle. To top it off: few automotive places are as clean as this one! It just shows his professionalism and pride he puts on his work.

Always great care is given to may car here! No other shop has given the attention to detail to all my fluid levels, tire condition, air filters, etc. when I come in for a simple oil change. I was very impressed how much knowledge was shared as "why we needed the work done". It wasn't like you need these 8 items done or else. We were given valid reasons for work needed now and what could wait. We were introduced to both Ed and Doyle in which Doyle completed the work I feel like we were a priority for the day and the work was completed very timely. The shop was extremely clean and the Coca Cola waiting area was fun. Best car experience I ever had. Thanks Greg for all the info you gave to us. They ve inspected all of our vehicles prior to purchase. If nothing had to be done they told us without future issues to worry about. If the vehicle had issues they told us and at times, talked us out of the purchase. They need ten stars plus some more. Greg is the happiest and most helpful person I've ever come across in a shop EVER. Says a lot since I've been to too many in last few years. Greg and Ed didn't talk to me like I was dumb nor did they try to sell me blinker fluid at all. AMAZING. They were straight forward about the issue and black and white about it being worth it or not on my ride. Saved me lots of money opposed to taking it all. Who does that. THEY DID they are a diamond in the rough. They have the cutest little waiting area (not best description for a shop sorry guys) it's like stepping back in time to a little dinner. THE CLEANLINESS OF THE PLACE IS MIND BLOWING FOR SURE. YOU HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT. Anyone and everyone should be here to experience real customer service and honest mechanics. My mind is blown. We were in a difficult spot, and I feel this shop went above and beyond to fix the problem! We were coming from out of town, and had checked in with 2 other shops, Greg heard our problem/situation and said he would try his best. They stayed late Friday afternoon and got it done! When you have a car diagnosed it is normal to call around and get quotes from other mechanics. This place seems like they are scammers because they NEED you to bring it in first. Obviously a QUOTE is just that...its a rough estimate. That tells me if i want to waste everyones time even going to you to start.This place is literally the only shop I called that wouldn't give me a quote over the phone. I understand if there are more problems the quote changes but quote what someone Is asking as a starter. Not everyone wants to pay the first mechanic to look at it because thats how youvget ripped off...or have their car towed to 10 different places. Not even realistic. Told my normal mechanic about that when he called after them and he laughed and agreed it isn't normal or most likely not an ethical place. After reading other reviews that is exactly what it is. He won't quote like EVERY OTHER mechanic will because he wants to tell you it's a free diagnostic then charge you. Scary Greg has been in business this long. Joke.

Greg is the best mechanic out there! You have a problem? He can fix it! He has always taken wonderful care of my cars. I trust him implicitly. He always does what is best for the customer. His integrity is top notch. His staff is friendly and helpful! I would never go anywhere else!!

The team in advanced automotive was exceptional! They got us in on very short notice, did an excellent evaluation of the vehicle we were looking to purchase, and got it done in a very timely manner! Mechanic Ed to fit time to show us what he found. The owner spent 10 minutes with us further explaining. I'm happy very to have found them. I only wish I lived closer so that I could use them all the time. Highly recommended!

The guys at Advance Automotive were Super! Special shout out for the owner Greg. He went over and beyond to assist me with my repairs. Great price. Great service. The shop is quite clean. It was a bonus when picked up my car that no greasy fingerprints were found on my paint. #1 Repair shop in Golden and surrounding areas.

Greg (owner) and the team at Advanced Automotive are consummate professionals. They are very detail oriented and work hard to ensure customers have safe reliable cars to drive. Thanks to them my 2005 F150 is still on the road and running great.Last week I came back to the bus parking lot at the end of the day to find my passenger window had dropped into the door frame on a cold snowy day. I called the next day, got an appointment for the following day and my truck was ready just after lunch. Top notch service in my book.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!Greg took advantage of me and my situation as my RV started miss firing on my road trip. He knew I had no choice but to get it fixed. Not only did he sell me parts and services I didn t need he over charged me by $300! The nerve of this guy is unbelievable! If you think he s being weirdly and overly nice it s because he is! I had to stop payment and despute the payment through my credit card and he still refused to make things right. He is not a honest mechanic! He will take advantage of you every chance he gets!Greg s response to my review is a LIE!! If you don t believe me look at the other negative reviews they are all the same. He s a Con artist!I m still having to dispute the payment. He is fighting me even though I have proof that he overcharged me $318.00 and sold me services I didn t need.Today 8-12-18 I spoke to the Credit Card customer service that s been helping me with my dispute with Greg. I was informed that even though I have proof that Greg over charged me by $318.00 they are unable to do anything about it it s out of their scope of practice. It would be a legal issue. They said they reached out to Greg and confronted him on the over charge and Greg refused to make things right. They suggested I contact the BBB.Update 4-22-19I contacted the BBB and they were very unhelpful. Basically they said if the owner responds to the complaint there s nothing they can do. So basically BBB means nothing. Greg lied to BBB and nothing was done. He never made things right and continues to lie. He is a con artist!! Don t go here!!

Advanced Automotive is the best shop I've ever worked with! Greg and his team are masters at keeping all of my old Honda vehicles running at optimal performance and they always recommend doing only the work that is needed. They have the most advanced diagnostic and repair tools, keep an immaculate shop, hire only outstanding and highly trained mechanics, solve problems in the best and most cost-effective way, communicate clearly and often, are empathetic and understanding when I have an occasional meltdown about the extent of repairs needed, and are incredibly responsive.I wouldn't trust my cars with anyone else!

I am so pleased with my service! I had given up on fixing the hail damage on my car because all the shops were asking an outrageous amount or saying it couldn t be done. Greg went out of his way to find me the perfect hood. He was so kind and helpful throughout the entire process. You can tell the team actually cares about you and wants to help you (without charging an arm and a leg). Their service is also extremely high quality and speedy.Thank you Advanced auto!

Greg keeps me in a safe and cared for car for my business. He never makes recommendations that aren't necessary and tells you when things are really important. I trust him to keep my car going, and me safe! I highly recommend him and his shop for most things automotive.

Took a vehicle in to have a 100 thousand mile service and to have a squeaky belt changed. He continously tried to tell me other stuff needed to be done when it didnt so he could overcharge me. When i told him not to do the extra work he got frustrated and insisted that it needed to be done. He changed the belt that did NOT need it. When i recived the car back the belt was still squeaking AND the front windows do not roll down now do to the fact that they damaged the switch and took the main peice of it out. Very very disappointed that this man can call himself a mechanic. 10/10 never take you car here to be worked on.

I have been a customer at Advanced Automotive for almost 5 years. It s the best car repair and maintenance service I have ever experienced. They excel at education and prevention, alerting you to upcoming issues so there are no surprises. Whether it s a tire repair or a big service everyone treats you as a valued customer each time you come in the door. Five years, four vehicles and no regrets. I drive 30 miles to do business here and it s always worth it.

I've been around a lot of shops and I have to say this shop beats them all. Greg is a absolute master mechanic and is very helpful. Quality work is all he produces, if you want your car taken care of the RIGHT WAY, take it to Advanced Automotives. This isn't no Grease monkey or Jiffy lube
