Brian and Steve are no nonsense business owners. Getting transmission work is never easy or cheap, however they were more than fair and competitive. Furthermore their staff was Extremely friendly and informative. It's without hesitation I recommend AC transmission.

The work eventually gets done I took my car in to get a clutch replaced I had the car for about a week, then it broke again, and he said it was the hose and he would take care of it. He told me he ordered the part with over night shipping. For weeks I called him asking about the part, to which he told me it still wasn t even there fast forward 2 months and I just got my car back and the doors magically don t lock steer clear of this place, and especially Brian

Returning satisfied customer! They replaced my 2010 Volvo xc90 AWD transmission over a year and a half ago with great results. This week they replaced my 2020 Ford Transit Connect transmission on my work vehicle with another success! If you want to deal with a reliable shop that stands behind their work and holds true to the price quoted for a lot less than a dealership this is your place.

100% satisfied with the help I got from this shop. Steve and Brian were great. It took a little bit to get my vehicle in the bay due to them having a lot of customers ahead of me, but they kept it secure and safe the whole time.My vehicle is customized, and another shop was just not comfortable with the job, but AC had no issues at all. They found another issue or 2 (or 3) that needed to be addressed, and they ran it by me before doing them. They were more than fair in what they charged, and when the work commenced, they involved me in every single decision point. I would be proud bringing any of my vehicles to them to get it fixed right, first time every time.Service: Transmission

I had them fix my transmission a year and a half ago, it is now going out AGAIN. I have been trying to contact them to see what can be done and nobody there wants to respond or call me back like they say! Super unprofessional and a very unhappy customer

I can't say enough positive things about AC Transmission. Brian and his guys went above and beyond to diagnose and fix the issues with my truck. Not only did they have the knowledge and expertise to handle any transmission problem, but they also provided me with a fair and transparent price in addition to exceptional and efficient service. I had my truck back in working condition within 24hours. Without a doubt, AC Transmission is one of the best in the area!DW

In 2016 my 05 Subaru Outback started squealing the tires when I made a turn, shifting hard, and taking too long to shift.�I took it to a Subaru mechanic who told me there is something wrong with the transmission. He pointed to a place nearby & said they were trained in transmissions & to take my car there.�He did not say if he recommended this place or not; he knew nothing about them.I told the man at the counter, Brian, what the problem was.� He told me I needed a new transmission because the AWD was stuck on .�I didn t know any better so I asked the price of a new transmission and labor. He quoted me over $8,000.�I wondered if maybe this was girl prices so I asked my dad to call a few days later.�He was quoted just under $7,000.�I should have known then to leave this guy alone & find a reputable mechanic, but I tried one more time. I thought maybe because my dad has an accent he might be getting a high price as well. This is because the office of AC Transmission seemed to be highly political with mildly racist memes on the walls. A few days later I asked a male friend to call to get a quote.�This time Brian quoted $4,200. I was told this was a steal & to jump at the chance so I asked my friend to take my car in.A few days later my friend told me the car was ready but that I had to pay in cash.�When I picked up the car my friend checked under the car and said the transmission looked clean, but he added that they could have just cleaned it.�I asked for paperwork on this new transmission & Brian told me that he has to keep all paperwork because of the 10,000 mile warranty. I was also told that he didn t have a copy machine.�When I paid him he added on the new axel he replaced.�I had no idea he was going to do that! Luckily my friend had cash on him so we were able to make it out there. During our conversation about the axel Brain made a racist comment about not hitting anymore coons .A month later I asked the same friend look @ my car.� I thought it was still shifting hard and it felt like there was no AWD.� He looked at it and said that I needed a new water pump so we might as well have Brian do that & look that transmission too.� I reluctantly agreed.�This time when I got my car back I defiantly knew something was wrong.�Again, I was asked to pay in cash and I wasn t given a receipt.�That s when I knew all of this was being done under the table.3 days after getting my water pump and timing belt replaced my car broke down.�I looked under the hood and saw the timing belt had come off and ripped through the timing belt cover. I called Brian because this was obviously their fault.� I was told to have my car towed there & they would fix it.� My friend assured me this would be free & they would reimburse the tow bill as well.�Well, I got a call the next day saying my (less than 1 year old) harmonic balancer was to blame.� Brian told me that since this was my fault I needed to pay over $400 for the fix.My friend asked to see the old harmonic balancer, he was told that the recycle had picked it up. He was told it was going to be $550 because they did a tune up too.� I never OKed a tune up because I had just done 1 myself the month before.� I had put in a new battery, spark plugs & wires.� My friend, unknowingly, paid the extra money.� I looked under the hood & saw the all the brand new wires and battery had been replaced with old parts!� The battery was over 1 y/o & the wires looked like they had rust all over them.About a month later my car wasn t doing well at all.�The check engine light was on with codes saying I had a misfire on all cylinders. I took it to a Subaru mechanic who took the engine out & said I needed a new 1. He was 100% positive that whoever replaced the timing belt didn t time it right.As of today I am waiting to get my transmission replaced (again) because the gears are very old & worn down.�This seems odd for a new transmission that is barley 2 years old. It s pretty obvious at this point that Brain & his crew didnt do the work they were paid to do, stole, lied, & I paid them to do it.

Reasonably priced they do quality work. They performed work on my 1989 Nissan Skyline GTR transmission and did good job!. Not many people will even touch a 1989 Nissan Skyline . No problem for these guys!.

The owner Brian got us in and out quickly. Very friendly, and easy to work with. They were able to get my transmission and transfer case replaced within a day and a half and went out of his way to pick up the parts needed to get us back on the road. I couldn't have been happier with choosing this company. We were able to finish our family vacation thanks to the quick turn around time.

I have a cargo van that I use mostly now for traveling to various offices we have across the Nation. It is great for that since I can throw a mattress in the back for long trips. We had a transmission put in it almost 3 years ago from a national company and AC Transmission is on the top of thier list for the region for thier warranty work. I know why now. Brian was very helpful and was able to schedule my warranty transmission install for the next business day. They will be getting more of our business as we need it. Professional, fast and fair. You won't find a better outfit around here. I know that as well, I checked closer places and even though they where national transmission places they didn't hold a light to AC Transmission. Thank You .

we have 2 diferent Mechanical shop Identify Transmission problem. which we got Brand new one build from them. One mechanical shop find out wires problem which they dont fix. One shop, find transmission Filter problem, which they don't want to fix.

I thought I had a catastrophic transmission failure but it ended up being something really stupid. These guys easily could have charged me for work I didn t need but instead diagnosed the problem for free that I was then able to cheaply fix myself. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I was recommended to AC transmissions of Golden from my dedicated Subaru mechanic when I had some odd Check Engine lights go off. I spoke to Brian the same day as my visit to my mechanic who could not read the Codes. He was very helpful and even offered to do the code read the same day if sin could leave my car with them, and it was a busy day for them so it was very helpful. I was given lots of details of what the codes got be related to and what normally those codes indicate ( there seem to be 3 degrees of repairs that go along with them ). I am not an expert on cars beyond basics and especially regarding the complexities of transmissions. I felt comfortable enough to ask many questions and also on the shops extensive experience to fix my issues. I got the news back later that day of what the codes indicated would be the problem and repairs. He was very thorough with the diagnosis and also how quickly they could do the repairs which was great. I was also given details onI got my car back the next afternoon and very close within the window that was given for the repairs to be completed. While I was waiting, I had a ton of questions and Brian was very thorough in his explanations and took the time to go over everything. I was very appreciative. I feel good that the repairs will add life onto my engine and I can get more life out of it. I am a very happy customer and was very pleased with the work completed (and especially with the quick turnaround/timeline for the repairs to be done)Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

These guys were helpful and quick.My car broke down on the exit ramp in front of the shop Monday morning and they had me back on the road Monday evening with new tie rod ends. (Alignment service had to be performed elsewhere).My only complaint is that they never called me to tell me what was wrong and quote a price before performing the work so when I called for a diagnostic update and they said they were almost done, I was shocked and rushed over. The price seemed reasonable at the end of the day so no complaints as long as the work holds up!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

I went to this shop because I was having some transmission issues. I believed that I just needed a transmission flush but wanted to be sure. They told me that they ran their tests and that I would need a completely new transmission because of an internal hydraulic failure in the direct drum which would cost around $7000 . I was skeptical and took my vehicle to another shop. They informed me that their was nothing wrong with my transmission and that it just needed a flush. They will take advantage of you if the opportunity arises.

These guys went above and beyond,to take care of us.We were on vacation when the transmission in our motorhome went out.The tow company recommended AC for the repairs, and am glad they did.They got to us right away and Removed,rebuilt and installed it within 40 hrs. Of our breakdown. Not the Cheapest but hopefully the best will update if any problems, But got us the last 956 miles home shifting great.

I bought a vehicle from a large dealership. They neglected to tell me the transmission was trashed. AC transmission -Brian and his crew, had me drop my vehicle off. Brian did the facial diagnostic. He told me what he knew was wrong but advised they could find more when completely taken apart. He advised that I contact the dealership. I did. The dealership took no responsibility for the repair, drove it around the dealership to tell me the same thing I told them and said to do a diagnostic it would be $500.00. I called Brian at AC transmission. We made arrangements to drop off my vehicle and one of his crew took me to work and dropped me off. Brian called with bad news. Due to the shape my transmission had been in and I was driving.....one piece of the transmission pushed a piece of metal through another piece. The repair was bigger than either of us planned. Brian understood my daughter was going in for surgery and money was tight. He worked it out with us. And I had my car back in just a couple days! Everyone at the shop was so helpful and informative. I sent my daughter to his shop and her car needed her front Axel bracket replaced. He gave her a great price and had her on the road in no time. I send everyone I know to Brian regardless what is wrong with their car and let Brian tell them if AC transmission can/cannot fix it. I recommend to call them first!!! I am so comfortable with AC transmission I can go there with or without my husband! If I can help it... no matter the issue....I call AC Transmission 1St!! Thanks guys for keeping us moving and safe!!!

Steve was the best! We are on a road trip cross country and our transmission needed some work - we were stranded in Colorado with our RV. He let us park our RV in the back overnight and made quick work of the transmission in the morning. He even custom cut a cable that we needed within a day. He saved our trip and now our RV is running great. THANK YOU STEVE!!!

I took my 2013 Ford Explorer down to have a transfer case (PTU) put in and they did an excellent job for my wife and I. Very affordable. We ended up having a leak in the seals after about 12,000 miles and Brian the manager down there got us back in right away and taken care of at no cost to us. No hassle. Great group of guys. Would highly recommend them.

So far the guys here have been fantastic. Came in because my transmission let me down and Brian went above and beyond to get us fixed up. Brian is a straight-up person to deal with they run a professional business and are fast fair and affordable they not only work on Transmissions but just about any other mechanical problems, they also work on diesels. I had to have my clutch in my Subaru replaced, and Brian and his team did a fabulous job! Not only were they competitively priced, they were able to get my vehicle back to me the same day! I am incredibly grateful, and highly recommend AC Transmission in Golden, Colorado!!! FIVE gold stars!!!

Outstanding shop. Had my truck dropped off by the tow truck driver on a Thursday after the shop had closed. The diagnosed, fixed the problem and had me back on the road by 4pm on Friday at a very fair price. And this before the memorial day weekend no less! Don't hesitate to use these guys.

My Ford Escape broke down Friday night & my tow guy Danny with DENVER West Towing recommenced Steve & Brian. We towed it to their shop & I called Monday morning at 7am when they opened. They found the problem that morning ordered the parts and had it fixed Wednesday morning. (it was my fuel pump). My last mechanic did not find the problem when I brought it to him the day before it stalled on I-70 and hwy 6 east bound off ramp at 5:30pm (18 years going to him) I highly recommend AC transmission for all of your automotive repair and maintenance needs!

This man is a God Send!!! Brian and his team helped my daughter and I off the mountain and stuck with us every step of the way until we were back on the road. Being two woman on the road is scary and trusting someone with your safety and money is not always easy. Brian is one of the good ones I am blessed to have him cross our paths.
