Clean, nice and quiet but the air conditioner barely worked at all. It was 94F when we arrived, the AC was off in our room and the window was open. If the management of this place would have just turned on the AC when they got our reservation it would have been at least a little cooler in the room when we got there. Luckily I carry a battery powered fan when I travel or this place would have been unbearable.

Why book a resort or more expensive hotel? The experience can often be impersonal and of course, expensive. I know that I pick hotels based on reviews and that being said, this hotel is hands down one of the best I've stayed in. The service is fantastic, they actually know your name and are able to help you no problem. The location is a bit outside of downtown so not as much noise and the buildings fit right in with the area. The room is very nice too, with surprisingly comfy pillows and beds. The bathroom is small but functional and it's separated which I personally prefer; it gives it a modern feel. Mine also had a microwave and a fridge, nice to have, but I didn't use them. The Internet is actual Internet, because it's a smaller location you actually get to use it like you normally would, no getting disconnected or slowed down. The biggest surprise is that you get a FREE BREAKFAST. Which at this price point is amazing, and the breakfast is pretty great. You've got the essentials and everything is well organized and set up, has a real homey feel. Finally, the management here is super great. As I mentioned before they are personable and personal; they really understand the hospitality business. If you've got a family or are just by yourself and looking for a good deal without sacrificing creature comforts and practicality, then the Frontier Lodge is your huckleberry.

It's not horrible, you get what you pay for. For the price you get a clean room, and it seems they are slowly starting to remodel. The owner and her husband share running the front desk and stay all through the night. They are night, the breakfast is average, no eggs or bacon, but we enjoyed a toasted bagel and cream cheese with pancakes. I would stay again for a quick stop, looking for a romantic or fancy getaway, pay the extra money. Also, Uncle's Pizza is down the street, don't judge a book by it's cover the pizza is AMAZING!

I would avoid this place. The female owner was really nice, but the place lacks some serious necessities. We froze so bad that it was painful. It was 12 degrees outside & we had no heat in our room. Room #101. The female owner told us that the gas fireplace inside the room doesn't work and don't turn it on. There was no other source of heat. We had to sleep with our coats on in bed. The bed has a embedded stain in the sheets and it grossed us out. The top bed cover is paper thin and the comforter under that is old and worn out and made of thin cotton. We heard banging all hours of the night from the room next door and it was so cold in our room, my nose was running all night. We didn't get any sleep at all, we should've slept in our car. Also, upon check in, we had to pay a $50 deposit because we paid with a debit card and it took 2 days to be refunded back to us. As far as breakfast goes, they have 2 toasters and a microwave in the lobby. The only good thing about this room is that the bathroom was clean and we got a warm shower. We will never stay here again.

Everything was clean and comfortable. The room had a nice layout, good shower, double sinks. The continental breakfast was pretty standard, in a good way, but also included fresh-made pancakes. Service was good. It was a pretty basic motel, but very nice for the price we paid. Will stay again.

Extremely Disgusting. Wont recommend it at all. Would rate them 0 stars if I could. The lady owner is the worst. If you think you're not going to make it before 11 o' clock night and won't be able to inform the hotel so then trust me and save your money for elsewhere. They just want free money. The plaza next door is the best, they had world class breakfast + clean rooms and we had to pay $30 bucks extra for the night. Got charged for this stupid trash hotel. None the less I wouldn't expect anything less from this cheap hotel with an extremely rude unprofessional owner/manager whoever she thinks she is. I hope u guys run out of business and l will make sure to copy paste my review 10 other sites just to save other's time and money.

Maybe 1 star because it was clean?? I would have been better off sleeping in the back seat of my car. The bed was hard as a rock, lighting is poor and to top it off I was woken up at 6am to the sound of heavy machinery that has been idling right next to my room for the last hour. If you're looking for a cheap room this is not worth it. Pay an extra $20 to stay at the silver spruce Inn; it is 100x better than this place.

For the price, the Frontier Lodge was excellent. Very clean, super comfy firm bed, AC worked great ( too good), quiet setting, friendly front desk staff. No troubles at all. Definitely would stay here again. Don't believe some of the reviews, the Frontier Lodge is a good place to call base camp.

I was very disappointed in my stay here. I called around 10:15 pm to ask if they had vacancies, I saw online had listed these rooms being $89. When I called this was not the case it was $149 for the night. I really needed a place to stay so despite the price not matching up I moved forward, I was also very disappointed in my conversation with the attendant. He took my card information and then after taking payment told me that they closed at 11pm, I was a few towns away, basically saying good luck making it here on time and thanks for the free money. This should have been mentioned to me before taking my card information! Thankfully we ended up making it before that time, just disappointed in my overall experience and for $149 you don t get much. Then come to find out that I was charged for two nights at $149 and I had to dispute the second charge.

My girlfriend and I had made a reservation for my birthday trip when we were heading up to glenwood springs! We had decided to keep going since we weren t tired and it wasn t late, we decided to call and cancel our room with plenty of notice. They then decided to charge us for the room anyway even though we hadn t even stopped at the hotel. So we called and politely asked if they could dispute our charge and the very very rude gentleman on the phone was saying there was nothing he could do for us over and over. I ll never be going here and to anyone that is thinking of going DON T they re rude and very inconsiderate, hope the $200 was worth your while because you ll never see another $1 from me again.

A few issues with plumbing, however the shower was powerful and hot. Also the bed was perfectly firm. They were very helpful to us as we did arrive late due to traffic delays. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room and plenty of towels for the shower.

We didn't expect much based on the price, but the Frontier Lodge was a great value overall. The bed was comfortable and the place was quiet. We enjoyed the free continental breakfast as well. A little far from downtown, but it was perfect for us for a quick 1 night stay.

Nice place to rest after an outing. Great prices too. They have the basics Tv, shower (nice condition). Glad to find an affordable hotel so we can afford for more activities . The only thing i could say is checkout was stated to be 11PM and we had a woman knocking on our door at 9:45AM saying we needed to check out. She even tried to unlock our door while we were still in there.... I feel like there was a miscommunication. But OverallI found nothing wrong with our room. Nice and cozy.

We didn't have anywhere else to stay, so we picked the cheapest place that had vacancies. Location is rather noisy right off the highway with no structures to buffer the sound. Wi-fi was advertised but was too weak of a signal to function for us. Pillows were thin, and air conditioning was noisy and not very effective. Better than sleeping in a tent, but also a lot more expensive (we paid $168 before tax) - if it hadn't been raining, I would have preferred to camp and save the money.

If I could give this place no stars I would, 1st off the rooms smell like mildew and are super dirty, customer service does not exist at this establishment. I asked if we could be moved to a cleaner room and I was told the room I had was clean. I asked for a supervisor and was told they don t work but 3 days out of the week and unfortunately I went in on one of the days they don t work that being on a Friday. My pregnant wife elected to stay somewhere else since we were not going to get a better room. when asked for a refund I was told I can either stay in a moldy room or not stay at all but no refund would be issued.

Worsted customer service from management I have ever experienced, The lady was so rude and told us to get out after we paid for two night because we brought a tiny Yorky and we didn't know dogs were not allowed. She told us she wouldn't give us our money back for the second night and told us that she would call the police if we didn't leave and when we left she took video of us while we drove off like we trashed her place. We took picture in case she tried to lie and say we did. This Hotel was not worth the money we spent $230 a night. The rooms were very dated, rug was old from the 1970's and was not clean at all and the beds were hard as a rock and the shower certain smelled like pee and the tub was dirty still.*****DOG LOVERS BEWARE*****

I arrived at nighttime, the staff was friendly and there is free Wifi. I did not eat breakfast here and I dont know what they offer for breakfast. Overall, the room faced the side of the street, opening the window allowed noises from the passing cars to be heard, so the window was left closed. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.

Terrible place. Terrible staff and owners. I own cs logistics had a driver down for major storm no one new when roads would be open. Hotel decided to jack rates up from their posted online rates. 2 night 190 for this sub par dwelling. Driver paid for 2 nights during blizzard. Did i mention online 59 a night. So 2 nights 190 roads open at 1 pm next day and driver had a open since he didnt check out till 1pm instead of 12 pm then refused to credit back the unused night. Terrible people terrible attitude. People down lets get all we can from them should be ashamed for gouging people in a life threatening event. Please stay in a tent before giving these people any of your money

This is unbelievable we literally got kick out of the room at 10 pm.We check in at 8 pm so we can have the key and go eat somewhere closed to it. By the time we got back we start unpacking out clothes, after 45 min in we have someone knocking the door extremely loud. I was about to call 911. (We coming from Illinois do not know anybody over here). I decided to open the door and we have the old guy from front desk screaming and disrespecting my wife because according to him we were being to loud. We were loud because we had 3 kids and were unpacking. I told the old guy no to disrespect my wife and scream at her. He didn't listen and i told him we will call the cops on him. He left and we decided to leave the room he didn't answer the phone or open the office door.Service is bad like we are better off staing anywhere else.Call this morning spoke to a nice lady at the office. Still waiting if we will get a refund or how they will handle this situation.

The women who works at the front desk is very rude. Its 9 am, my husband and i walk in to grab breakfast. She asked if we are there for breakfast and when we say yeah she replies with "well could you grab something and go because it's over." She was unpleasant and took very poor care of the front lobby and the guests. We will never return here because she treated us like trash. The man that was working yesterday was very nice, its a shame he has awful employees.

This was such a nice little hotel! It sits right below a mountain. The view from the motel is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was friendly. We were able to check in quickly. It was in a quiet part of town. The room was very clean. It had restaurant recommendations in the room, which was great for my boyfriend and I who had never visited Glenwood Springs. Lovely place and I will stay again! Great price and great hotel.
